Sixth Union Fitness is a personal training gym located in both South Denver (Inverness) area as well as Parker (Stroh Ranch). We focus on transforming our clients mind, body, and, spirit in order to maximize your human potential not just in the gym but in everyday life. We take an all inclusive wide view approach to both physical and mental health and fitness. We offer private training, semi-private training, transformation programs, and corrective exercise programs. We accept all clients regardless of experience, ability, or injury. We do not have open memberships so no need to fight the crowds, every moment with your trainer will be focused solely on you.

Michael Sutton is a top-notch personal trainer.

His approach to training is based on a strong academic foundation and backed up with solid technical training experience. This is evidenced by the personalized and comprehensive mobility, nutrition, and workout plan that he developed for me. Within a couple of months I lost 10% bodyfat and 12 lbs. After working out with the same trainer for two years, I was put in a situation to find a new one. I took the time to research and interview several gyms and trainers before selecting Michael at Sixth Union Fitness. Michael took the time to listen about my past work out sessions, goals and performed a movement assessment. Out of all the interviews, he was the one who displayed genuine care about me as a person.

Michael is one of the best trainers you could find. He obviously cares about you and wants to see you improve quickly, but also safely. I had a couple of training session with him about 4 years ago and wasn’t sure he would remember me when I reached out earlier this year to start a program with him, but not only did he remember me, he even remembered some of the issues I had with previous injuries and technique tendencies that needed to be fixed. I did most of my workouts without seeing him in person due to my work schedule, but he worked with me every step of the way, answered any questions I had as soon as I’d ask, and overall I still felt like I was getting the attention and help I needed even without being at in person sessions. I feel like I got great results in a short time frame with Michael, he’s amazing and I couldn’t recommend working with him enough!

I am a "young" senior and decided it was time to get in shape, I had let myself go too long. I have arthritis in my hip and suffered a minor stroke. I could only make it through the day with multiple doses of Advil, masking the pain. I have been working with Michael for nearly 3 months and the results are amazing. My mobility and strength have dramatically improved, I rarely have pain in my hip as compared to when we began. I am significantly more active now that I have began rebuilding strength. His focus on my well-being and the ability he has to rebuild my confidence is transformational, for that, I am truly Thankful. I mostly workout from home, but I signed up with Michael for a white so I could make sure to work out any issues with my form on the big lifts. Definitely a solid gym. While I wasn't immediately focused on hypertrophy or strength gains, I can definitely see that the gym is suited for all of it, and Michael definitely helped me out a ton.

My personal preference is to workout at home, but this isn't because of any failings in the gym or the trainers; I just prefer to not have to spend time driving.

Michael himself was a great coach, emphasising mobility before getting busy with the workouts.

I went to sixth union because it was time for a change, and I didn't realize how great the results were going to be! I trained under Michael for 6 months and lost 10 - 12% of my body fat and 22lbs. I had been looking for the right trainer for me for several months, almost a year, before I found Michael and Shanni at Sixth Union. I found them on Thumbtack but looked them up everywhere online to see what all they are about and saw their adorable family and pup, Huckleberry, and felt like they might be right. I went in to meet them, and possibly sign up if I clicked with them, and I knew instantly I would love this place. Michael did some functional movement testing and that impressed me. I was surprised I'd never had something like that done before when previously consulting with trainers. And due to previous injuries, I feel like it is very beneficial. I felt confident with their knowledge and expertise and I immediately signed up for 3x/wk training sessions with Shanni. As a former gymnast as well, she understands much of the injuries/capabilities related with that history and challenges me well. Let me share two viewpoints on Michael and his skills with his clients. The first is in observing how he manages his group class (I am not a participant). I see a group of people of various ages and fitness levels who are responding positively to the ways Michael structures the class. He keeps it positive and makes sure that there is the right balance of consistency and creativity.

I can speak personally in how he has managed our 1-1 sessions. As an older person who had never ventured into a consistent fitness program, I searched for someone who had the training to help me as well as the bandwith to handle someone who was in dire need of fitness assistance. He began with an assessment of where I was (not a pretty site) and where I wanted to go. Week by week Michael established a varied program which worked on all parts of my physical needs and kept a balanced and positive viewpoint on my progress. He not only establishes the exercise sessions - he makes sure I understand what we are doing, what effect we are aiming for and the proper form for why each exercise to be done with the proper form. Together you begin to understand the amazing ways that the human body is put together. Michael is an exceptional trainer who insists on linking both the mind and the body to gain results. As a result I've begun to achieve things I would never have thought possible.

I've watched a number of personal trainers working with clients. Michael is clearly head and shoulders above his peers. You will not find a better guide to begin or extend your physical development journey.
