I am writing this as not only a former employee but also as an aunt of two former developmental competitive gymnasts who trained at Stars.

Michele and Susie took me on as an employee at a time when I needed to supplement my income and for that I will be forever grateful. Working at the front desk provided me a birds eye view into all things Stars Gymnastics and I cannot say enough. Michele and Susie truly care about not only the people they employ, but also every student who walks in their door. I am now blessed to be able to call them my friends.

While working there I also witnessed several transitions, including the transition of the developmental director. The whole vibe in the gym changed; it became electric and contagious-in a completely positive way. Heather truly embodies the Stars creed and is "Developing skills for Life". She does not just coach gymnastics-she nurtures the gymnast as a whole, helping each athlete grow into their best self both on and off the mat.

I recommend looking elsewhere. Coaches end classes 5ish minutes early every time, not just as a one off thing once in a while. Front desk folks are standoffish and act annoyed of questions.

4 of My kiddos have moved through their programs, all starting at 18 months in the parent class. Teachers are always great, size of group to coach is reasonable and not too crowded and the gym is ran well and safely. Great place for your kids to move and learn balance, strength and coordination!

We love STARS gymnastics!!!! All the coaches are absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable. My daughter has been attending STARS since she was 2 years old and she is 5 now ! The front desk staff ladies are great as well. Recently, I have been asking about Halloween leotards and the front desk brought them out and informed me of the new arrivals. We LOVE it at Stars! We started when my 3 girls couldn’t even do a cartwheel 5 years ago, and now all 3 of them are competing on the competitive JO Teams. They completely fell in love with the sport, the staff and the friendships.

As a parent, communication is so important and the coaches we have had do a great job of that. I feel they each really know my daughters, and are both honest and encouraging. They are also willing to be available for questions and conversations when needed.

The coaching staff is the BEST. They truly care about my girls and want what is best for them first as a human and second as an athlete. As a parent, nothing means more.

Stars is one of the easiest places to write a review about because of all of its wonderful attributes. They have a great team of coaches, diligent attention to safety and impressive skill development at all levels. It is also a wonderful place for friendships to develop because of the positive culture they create.

My daughter has been on the competitive team for a few years and I have been nothing but impressed with the coaches level of intentionality and passion for the sport. All of the coaches are great, but we have had the most direct experience with Coach Heather. She is unbelievable with her ability to identify each individuals needs and meet them physically, mentally and emotionally exactly where they need to be met. She helps them push through limitations and find success on the other side. She is persistent with helping the girls believe in what they are capable of and pushes them to new limits. Coach Rachael is also amazing with the girls and they collaborate wonderfully together. With the amount of hours the competitive team is practicing, it is such a gift to have such confidence in the coaches leadership on every level.

The team director Cami sets the bar high for a well rounded team. She is incredible! All of the coaches put value on life skills such as discipline, perseverance, goal-setting and teamwork, which can benefit gymnasts both in and out of the gym. Grateful for Stars gymnastics!

My daughter loves this place, I like how there is a lot of seating and space upstairs.
However I really dislike how it’s super packed when waiting for a class. There needs to be a better system. kids have no shoes on while waiting for class. They are stepping all over the dirty floor. Where everyone has stepped on with shoes on. I would appreciate if there was a way where kids aren’t barefoot until they get into class. Maybe line up their shoes inside class?

I will say for the past two years my older daughter has attended I absolutely loved this place… UNTIL I tried to register my 3 year old daughter who is high functioning with SPD. Due to her disabilities and her fear of toilets potty training has been rough. We are almost there but not 100%. Well we placed her in a tryout class she got all excited got her leotard on just to receive a call right as we finished dressing her to say due to her not being potty trained she cannot attend. I didn’t realize my daughters disability would ALSO limit her here. I see they don’t accommodate children like this and it really put a bad taste in my mouth about how this facility is ran. Other facilities will gladly take her so we will probably leave the center my older daughter loves because of the insensitivity of the staff (mind you someone new is up front and this was her doing!!!) coaches have been great. Too bad the rest are not

My daughter enjoys her classes here but I can't help but feel taken advantage of by the absence of a makeup policy....

My student has a conflict with a school event the same day of her session and is not allowed to attend a makeup class in any of the 4 other classes in her level that have vacancies.

Last month, she was sick with fever and I was told that she could come or stay home but no makeups would be offered.

"a missed class is a missed class, it's just our policy"
No sympathy on the other end of the line.

If I'm required to pre-pay for services and enroll in automatic deductions, I think its fair to expect some sort of makeup policy to be honored in return.

This is a long and detailed review so bear with me. Overall we had no real issues during the year that my daughter was enrolled here. Aside from a somewhat unfriendly front desk woman, there was nothing really negative to report, that is until today. When we arrived and my daughter was settled in her class, I received a phone call and to be polite I stepped out to the front of the building. When I came back inside a few minutes later, I used the restroom and then looked around for my daughter and didn’t see her. Then I overheard a pretty nasty and accusatory conversation between two women whom at the time I could not see. They were saying that there was an irresponsible and absent parent who just dropped her daughter off to go for a walk and didn’t even care about her daughter and should be reported. It was more detailed and mean, but that is a summary. Then who do I see walking down the stairs but the two women, and my daughter. I told them that I had heard everything they said and that if they had looked up from the desk at all they would’ve seen me right in front of the window walking back-and-forth while I was on the phone for a few minutes. They were overly nice and apologetic to me at that point, but the damage has been done. And what is the most upsetting is that last week when my mom had taken my daughter to gymnastics, she was the one who noticed that a little girl had wandered out of the class AND out of the building and not one of the staff members noticed. My mom had to bring her back in and figure out where she belonged. My daughters well being is second to none and to hear a couple of caddy women bad
Mouthing on a non-issue was disappointing and infuriating. So pairing the way they talk about parents behind their backs with children being freely able to wander into the parking lot unnoticed, I just can’t say that Stars is a trustworthy or safe place for children

Since you only have a few Yelp reviews, I will post this here as well.

I pulled my two girls out of your gymnastics school today because Charolette, your desk manager, would not allow my oldest girl with Down Syndrome to participate in any of the activities. It was her first time in your facility and I mistakenly assumed she would be allowed to be with her siblings and to try a few of the obstacles (under my supervision) before signing her up for a few classes. She is nine years old but has less mobility than her three year old twin sisters. We think gymnastics could really help her.

What should have been a fun and inclusive experience for my special needs child, ended with an emotional desk manager not allowing my daughter to participate, even though she knew first timers are supposed to get a free first session.

Why didn't Charolette, your desk manager just give my little girl a free first session, like everyone else gets?

For the record, Charolette never even looked at my daughter once. And thats the truth.

She continued to scream at staff & parents in the room who were asking her to stop cussing & screaming in front of kids. Staff repeatedly asked her to leave the premises. Nope.She refused to leave until she "got her refund," which she did. THEN ASKED IF HER KID COULD STILL ATTEND CLASS THAT NIGHT! The police were called, but were delayed. I am grateful her child didnt have to witness her mom get arrested for disturbing the peace & trespass. She knew they were coming & said "I dont f'in care." She screamed & cussed & carried on this way in front of HER child (who looked terrified,) & other children. So did the other parents "gang up on her?" No, we just told her she was wrong & asked her to stop screaming and cussing.
Stars is a GYMNASTICS facility, not daycare. To the staff - THANK YOU for ensuring the safety of everyone during this womans tantrum. You handled yourselves with professionalism, & were more than accommodating to someone who didnt deserve it. Youre good people!

Unprofessional. Allowed my daughter to leave the facility unsupervised after i mistakably took her at the wrong class time. The staff decided to make it a family affair and involve all of the family members that are we’re in the office and gang up on me about my parenting skills. I wanted to respond to the critical review below that states "make sure your child is very confident for this company," because my experience with Stars Gymnastics could not be more different. I have four children, ages 3-8 and each one of them attends class at Stars. A few have started as itty bitties in the Parent Participation classes and a few have moved right into the recreational program. Each of my children are different in temperament, athletic ability, competitiveness, and desire to to excel in this sport, but each of them share a common trait: they are NOT good at the first day of anything. In general my kids are slow to warm up and really struggle with change. Their first days at Stars (and every time they've changed classes) have been the same: they are reticent, some cry, some choose not to participate that day-- and every.single.time. the staff at Stars, both on the floor and at the front desk have met my kids exactly where they are. They have been allowed to take things at their own pace and in a manner that is appropriate for their development. For some kids this has meant moving from a preschool class to a parent participation class for a few weeks while they got their "sea legs" for others this meant moving them into an accelerated program where they had classmates who are their age, energy, and ability level. With as many kids as I have, I have seen a lot of athletic programs and I can confidently say that Stars is without question one of the most child-centric programs out there. The staff, coaches, and owners work tirelessly to make sure every child is in the exact group that is appropriate for them.

I have never left a negative review but I cannot stay silent. We tried the pre-k class. My daughter can be very shy and slow to warm up. The teachers were very friendly and kind and my daughter really started to warm up. She was slow to let me leave her side but stated to me that she did want to do her class. Her teacher and I decided we would try to see if leaving the room would be helpful so she could warm up without me. When I arrived back at the front desk my daughter was crying. The woman at the front desk, maybe the owner I am not sure, stated very loudly she is NOT ok, ran inside and frantically pulled her out. Her reaction was not helpful for my daughter. Instead the teacher could have calmly walked my daughter back to the front. Leaving the office, the woman made it very clear my daughter was not ready. Instead of encouragement for my daughter and understanding, I left in tears. I want to stress that the teachers of the class were spectacular but after my experience and reading other reviews, make sure your child is very confident for this company.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The trainers seem to work hard with the kids of all age groups. It shows, there are some kids there with some skills - though I'm not an expert. We went to see our grand daughter and she is coming along. They expect her to work hard and she comes home pretty tired. She's been going there for several years and enjoys it.

I signed my son up for a three year old preschool level class and we were both very excited. Signing up was easy and the staff was friendly on the phone. When we arrived, my son was very excited to participate. However, right as class started, he got very nervous at the fact parents had to watch from another room and he couldn’t see me. He got upset and didn’t want to join class. The instructor seemed annoyed and frustrated with him. She told me we could watch for a few minutes and then told us we couldn’t watch anymore and had to go to the lobby if we wanted to stay. We made it 12 minutes into the class before we both left in tears. I emailed the school and told them that his first class didn’t go well and got no response. Left feeling disappointed that there wasn’t more understanding given to the situation, especially with his age group.

They are awesome and my daughter loves being here. She hates when we miss a day. She has grown to be more confident and even challenge herself at home with her bar and balance. She is also worn out by the time she gets home after their training session. That means straight to sleep on her ride home.

It’s an amazing gym, however I went in their for an open gym, I talked to a couple of the team kids and they were very disrespectful and not welcoming. I didn’t feel welcomed at all. I felt left out and in a way sad because I thought that this gym would have nicer people. I understand it wasn’t the staff, but the team kids should show some more respect for new kids coming to have fun for open gym.

So my daughter just joined stars a few months ago. The gym she came from did not have a Diamond Team & didn't know this when she joined 2 years ago so that was the main reason for switching.

The coach Mandy called me right away after leaving our info for an evaluation. My daughter trained with the team for a week & said she felt very welcomed and said that the coach seemed very professional & caring. Says the girls are very respectful & work well as a team. I was able to observe & love how she engages with the girls. Honestly all these coaches seem very professional & super caring. Two parents from the diamond team had told me that Mandy is one of a kind. And they wouldn't trade her for the world. That made our decision easier!

My daughter recently let go off the high bar a bit to soon & fell & sprained her ankle. They were able to show me the video, her coach mandy & Alley along with every other coach ran to her aid as if it were their own kid! The level of care she got from the minute she fell to now is something I've never seen. That gives me peace of mind knowing my kid is the care if great coaches!
They have awesome equipment & the front desk girls are always helpful & very friendly. Very clean gym,  as well as the rest rooms. My daughter is thrilled to be part of the stars family & says she's so excited to represent stars & compete as one of their diamond gymnast.

We have had such a positive experience with Stars! Our son 5 1/2 has been involved in many activities like climbing, golf, t-ball, and jujuitsu, and continues to be excited for his gymnastics class! Our daughter is a strong spirited 2 1/2 year old who is thriving with Coach Michelle who provides wonderful encouragement and boundaries. To see how far she has come physically, with her confidence, following rules, taking turns in 6 weeks is worth every moment we are there. The staff we have worked with are all gentle, kind-spirited coaches that help "stretch" the kids to perform at the capabilities.

My family just moved out here to Colorado and my daughter was on a T&T team for years in the past. My children are in the recreation program and take a class weekly. Great coaches, convenient class times, surprisingly affordable compared to many other sports. My children get a great workout, encouragement and a chance to take risks in a controlled environment. Only things I don’t like about the company is the viewing room is not well ventilated (could use an air purifier or some plants because it’s very stuffy) and they allow the coaches to eat things like chips and bring hot coffee onto the floor while they are teaching. The coaches don’t give any hand’s on instruction when they are eating and drinking and it seems like a safety/cleaning issue to me.

Our daughter loves this place! She has learned so much and is an excellent outlet for her to release pent up energy. There is never enough you can do with your kids to provide the outlet they need. She enjoys the teachers and perfecting her skills so much that she brings gymnastics home.

The one gripe we do have (cannot give 5 stars because of it) is their policies for make up classes. only 1 is to be provided per 6 week session. I understand why they are in place but if a family member has cancer and other related medical necessities that stem from removing cancer from their body they have to be taken care of as we cannot just reschedule those for what is considered a leisure activity (we aren't assuming our child will be some big gymnastics superstar one day so this is for fun and thus a leisure activity). From now on we will evaluate ahead of time when we will be tied up etc, and be skipping entire 6 week sessions in order to preserve our hard working funds that as a single income earning family we cannot spare.

Overall we are very pleased with this place and would still recommend others to go ensuring they understand that if times will get too busy they are better off skipping the sessions until they know their schedule is cleared.
