Dwayne is top notch! I’m six years out from two spinal surgeries, and over those years several doctors and physical therapists advised that I “modify” my workouts and sports goals. When I first started working with Dwayne I had hung up my skis, was no longer running or hiking, and could only mountain bike one time a week due to muscle spasms and pain. Dwayne provided personalized workouts that adapted to my changing needs as my range of motion improved. His holistic approach, attention to correct movement, support and encouragement were just the right medicine. Now I’m having a great season of skiing and biking, and am motivated to move forward with better physical and mental health!

I have been working out with trainers since I was in my late 20’s in LA, DC and AZ. After visiting Durango for 2 months last year my husband and I decided to retire in Durango this year and arrived May 16 to a furnished home rental, looking to buy a home. I am now 70 and before joining Fit247 I read about the trainers at the gym.

After reading about Dwayne, with all of his 5 star reviews, my husband and I joined the gym. When entering the 1st day I recognized Dwayne and asked him if he was open to train me, as we discussed my needs because of MS and his expertise. After speaking for a few minutes and understanding his experience, I asked him to find time to fit me into his busy schedule. I am working out 2 days a week with Dwayne and have been for 3 months.

I can honestly say he is the BEST trainer I have ever had, not only because of his outstanding experience, but because of his desire for you to feel stronger, more confident and continually happy. He is a perfectionist when you are doing workouts, correcting any mistakes to help keep your body without injury. I am progressing well and feel much stronger physically. Dwayne
spends time looking to see what my strengths and weaknesses are as I am working with him, we speak about what he wants me to accomplish and sets goals for my workouts with him. He also asks if there is anything I want to accomplish as well and I always tell him I love when he challenges me, so I am doing things I have never done before which I love.

I work out the other 3-4 days myself at the gym and follow what he says I should work on. I feel both mentally and physically stronger since working with him and he is an amazing person as well as a trainer.

If you want a pro who will make you physically and mentally great Dwayne is your guy!!!

My balance, physical acuity, and strength skyrocketed with hard work and Dwayne's guidance. Ive seen great improvement with my mountain biking, agility training, and even my dirt biking/motorcycle skills. He is organize, always attentive, on time, and had a plan of action. Each Memorial Day weekend, Durango, Colorado, my hometown hosts The Iron Horse Bicycle Classic a series of bike races with various distance and climbing options. Each year I set up a training regimen designed to ride the 25 mile race with 2300 feet of climbing. Having served 28 years in the military I thought I knew a thing or do about setting up my exercise plan yet each year I was unable to participate because I suffered an injury during training. I'm in my 70's but I refused to believe because of my age, I should give up on my goal. I contacted Dwayne and the rest is history. He set up a training program designed around my stated goals. Not only was I able to ride the race but during the climbing sections I zipped by many people much younger than me including two of my Doctors. The icing on the cake was several weeks later I went to Vermont and was able to easily do 3 consecutive days of 30 mile rides with no injury. Dwayne is a Super Star and I highly recommend him to all!

I started working with Dwayne over a year ago when I graduated from physical therapy after a neck injury. He came highly recommended from my chiropractors as someone knowledgeable about all the working parts of the body and not just a strength coach. He has pushed me to do things with my body I never could have imagined and I competed in my first triathlon this summer. We have tailored a program to fit my ever-changing fitness needs as I move between seasonal activities, AND I have managed to stay strong and pain free. Most importantly, we have a lot of fun and now I look forward to working out!

I’m a senior that has been working with Dwayne almost 3 years. My balance is better, my back has stopped hurting, and I feel stronger. He thinks about every stretch and exercise so as to keep me from hurting myself. I highly recommend him.

Dwayne Perry is an incredible trainer! When you trust his Process, you will become both physically and mentally stronger. His sessions are not just workouts for building muscle. His sessions are about how to integrate balance, posture, alignment and conscious breathing into your every day Life. I started working with Dwayne in 2018 and immediately appreciated what a knowledgeable and perceptive trainer he is. He was genuinely interested in me and my fitness goals and at the same time taught me to stretch to levels of fitness that I wasn't confident I could attain. We worked together for a number of months and then I left town for a while, during which time I had a knee injury. I was in a lot of pain and bummed out by the loss of ability, but I was determined to heal without surgery. So I called Dwayne and he was eager to help me rehab, strengthen, and transcend my expectations again. Dwayne is knowledgeable and skilled working with sports injuries. I regained my normal level of activity on a knee I felt confident was strong and healed and when I had my follow up Ortho appointment the doc was amazed. I recently started training with Dwayne again. He's so competent, provides a comprehensive personalized program, and even sends illustrated texts of my exercises so I have them on my phone and can refer to them when working out on my own.

Dwayne is an excellent trainer and has brought the fun back to physical exercise. His 6 week programs offer a variety and learnability that never feels like you are in the doldrums of working out. After being injured, Dwayne helped me adapt workouts to where I could continue focusing on overall wellness and slowly building back from the injury at the same time. I surely would have quit altogether without his guidance and encouragement. I feel the best I have in over 15 years since leaving the military.
