Great staff and courses. Staff teaches a lot more than just Tae Kwon Do. They teach discipline, respect, courage, courtesy, and many other positive traits. Daughter was a little hesitant at first so they let her "do the first class" for free to see if she would like it and she's been there for almost a month now and loves it, we can also see the positive traits being displayed at home. Keep up the great work.

Someone is posting on Facebook groups daily despite the groups policy on "no advertising small businesses except on Thursdays." About how great this place is and that this is a family.

Well, the people who work here and own it landed me in extensive therapy to get over my grief and harassment.

I posted another post explaining my experiences and was "banned from the page for being unkind."

First of all: I understand that this is not their Facebook group, but the constant spam was extremely isolating for me.

Second of all: being censored for being unkind when this organization was the one harassing me is absolutely not okay.

edit 2024: I called the police because I couldn't keep doing the whole: "we want to apologize and fix everything" game. They told the police they only sent automatic messages. That's not true. I'm attaching the screenshots of what was sent while my grandmother was dying. I didn't want to do this.

Not only are these guys harassers, but they're liars. They told me I'm completely out of the system it just took a week for me to finally start grieving my loss because of their antics.

Edit 3: since this was posted (October 8, 2024 this edit makes it October 10, 2024), I have received numerous text message --at least five on two different numbers -- three phone calls, and three emails.

Note how excessive this is. Let me leave in peace. I'm working with a lawyer right now to try and get you guys to stop bothering me.

Edit 2: please stop calling and emailing me. I'm about to send a cease and desist letter. I just want to be left alone.

Edit: they are now proceeding to call me on various numbers to get me to take this down. Harassment is what they seem to do best. I have taken the stop payment down. Take my two months payment, as I apparently signed.

Initial:
I was initially very pleased with this club, up until about two weeks ago I had a family emergency. They were training for belt testing and I wasn't in the right headspace and mentioned that there was an issue.

I was told I would be better by then, so the text messages started just reminding me when class was. I ignored them because I had a more pressing issue at the time. And not only that, they sent the messages through three different numbers.

I woke up to a message asking me if I went to class the night before and I had a personal loss that night. I was so angry at their callousness that I responded poorly.

I cancelled my membership a few days later. But upon cancelling my membership, I found that I owe the next two months, regardless of how I terminated. I had already contacted my bank to stop payments because I anticipated this happening but to gouge money after I'm leaving?

Everything you do in this club is money. You buy the uniforms, you buy the equipment, you breathe and it costs you money.

Your family member dies and all they want is your money.

Overall instruction is good and the people who work there are nice. We just wanted to do taekwondo during the summer because the school year is too busy. There were some clerical issues as a result of that, but they corrected them. Otherwise they're very nice people.

My 3 boys have been going here since May of 2024 and have thrived. They have learned discipline, personal excellence and self defense skills. When I tell you my 6 year old has done a 180 since being here 😭 I am so grateful. The instructors are all wonderful, patient and passionate people. Mary and Aaron the owners are involved and knowledgeable! We are moving so our time here is coming to an end. I highly recommend TR fountain!

I typically don’t write reviews, especially negative ones, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I was optimistic about enrolling my three-year-old, especially since they allowed him to start a few months early. Initially, the instructor seemed genuinely invested and even offered an extra free trial class to assess my son's skills. However, I quickly discovered that the class had over 20 four-year-olds with minimal oversight from student instructors, leading to chaos. One student instructor was particularly unprofessional, frequently showing annoyance towards the toddlers.

Communication issues are also a significant concern. I received vague texts and emails regarding belt testing, which came with unexpected sign-up fees that weren’t disclosed in advance. Although the contract states that I must give two months' notice to cancel classes, there is a freeze option that was poorly communicated. After missing classes due to illness, I requested a pause, relying on a supposedly simple process. Despite multiple requests, I never received the necessary form and was charged for an additional month. After reaching out to the instructor multiple times to request the pause form—providing an alternate email in case my original address wasn’t receiving it—I still did not receive the form or a response regarding my refund. My messages were ignored, which ultimately led me to dispute the charge with my bank.

Overall, this experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend this school, especially for younger children who may require better instruction and communication.

Tiger rock and all the instructors have changed my kids lives. We have 5 kids from 6 to 19 in the program some have disabilities. The growth in my children both physically and mentally is astonishing. Not to mention the respect they show at home has improved!

Communication is on point, class schedules make it easy to attend and for the kids to learn and retain the material fast. They work so well and are so kind with my 19 year old that has significant delays is learning and mobility most importantly making him feel welcomed while engaging with adults who are all so kind and helpful adapting the material to fit his limitations. Highly recommend for all age groups.

After completing the two-month cancellation contract, as specified in their requirements, we were charged for an extra month due to a “charge error.” Despite my repeated requests for a refund over the past month (13 emails and 7 text messages), the owner, Mr. Leopard of Tiger Rock Fountain location, has not taken any action as of this date, 6/12/24 (We submitted our cancellation on 3/15/24). He has chosen to ignore my refund requests via emails and messages. We are disappointed in how business has been conducted when all we requested for was the refund for the charge error that he, himself has agreed to refund. I also attempted to reach out to the regional director and have had no response (sent over a week ago).

I have 2 children in this program and I can not talk more highly of it. The opportunities given for multiple classes and timings, focus on child development and growth in many aspects and my kids thoroughly enjoy each class. The instructors are kind, dedicated to each student, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and welcoming. We love Mrs. & Mr. Leopard and Mr. Freeze!

Aaron and Mary Tuck are truly world class teachers and martial artists. I am so grateful to be able to train at Tiger Rock Martial Arts. I started at Tiger Rock a few months ago and it was the best thing I could have done for my-self. You see, 31 years ago I trained in Taekwondo for about a year and a half (I was 13 years old) but unfortunately, I did not commit to it. Now, at 44 years old, I made the commitment to myself that I would never stop training and become a black belt. Since I started training, my confidence has skyrocketed, my self-discipline has increased, I am getting in better shape, I am way more social, and I feel like I am a part of something greater than myself of which is extremely positive. I consider Tiger Rock in its entirety as a new addition to my family. I just absolutely love being around all the students and staff. Everyone is so non-judgmental and welcoming! The children that train there are so happy and such well-behaved. Aaron and Mary Tuck are so good with kids. They are so good with the Tiger Cubs (4-6 years old). It's amazing...really! I think every adult should train at Tiger Rock for at least 3 years of their life and every child should train for as long as possible, become a black belt, challenge yourself, and to be proud of what you accomplished!

My boyfriend started training at Tiger Rock Martial Arts a few months ago and I must say, his self-discipline has improved tremendously! He has more energy, he's eating better, he is all around happier! He is always talking about how Mary Tuck is such a great teacher and how he loves training with the other students. This is definitely something that has changed my daughters life for the better. I was so hesitant to join, as an adult in my late 30s really just thought it was a dream I’d have to give up on. Forced myself to go and am so glad I did. There’s other adults, it’s a lot of fun. The instructors are great, the atmosphere is friendly. Highly recommend to all ages.

Staff is very rude. Laugh and make fun of you as you walk away after asking questions your unsure of. Absolutely NO cleaning practices to prevent spreading of illnesses,not just COVID. Will check the caller ID and only answers for certain numbers then avoids/ignores others. You have to walk in to get answers you may have, and thats if staff is at desk and not out back, or elsewhere! Staff constantly runs out back if not teaching a class, leaving parents who may come in ,waiting. Whether it be a new student,or question due to no returned calls. Depending on staff instructor, ONE water break MAY be given to the kids. They have recorded cameras but no public knowledge that they are doing so, which is very uncomfortable and leaves questions. Kids are found outside without a parent even being there after class. Like a daycare,no real focus in martial arts.

I bring my children here every once in a while to train. I know when we come in that the Tucks will greet us all with nothing but kindness because it shows they are truly happy to see us again. It’s not about the money. I have known the Tucks for more than half my life and know they do it all for the love of Taekwondo and the kids. Mr. Gunderson is amazing. I've known him for over 15 years and he's a prime example of what martial art's if taken as a youth can build in a person. He's honorable, genuine, will go over and beyond for a stranger, and i'm proud that after retiring for the army that he decided to give back to the community by teaching martial arts. As an instructor he's firm, but kind and will treat every child as if they are his on. If you are looking for martial art's please check out Mr. Gunderson I promise you'll be happy.
