Really disappointed with this place. We’ve tried multiple times. Seems to be full of young people who don’t do much to facilitate a positive experience for young children. I just watched another child pushing (basically wrestling) my daughter out of line and the two adults standing next to her did nothing to help or even acknowledge it. My older daughter’s coach last year was super negative with no encouragement so she decided to leave. These kids need better supervision and guidance to have a positive experience. Kids deserve better than this.

My 4 year old son has been attending gymnastics for about 8 months and it has been a great outlet for his everlasting energy. The coaches are friendly but firm, which is necessary when coaching 4 year olds. I don’t think my son will grow up to be a gymnast (although you never know!). But this is a great constructive way to be introduced to a coaching dynamic and get some energy out. I would highly recommend!

We had a birthday party for our four year old and this place rocked! Was so impressed by the level of service from the staff. They served all of our guest the food and cake we brought and they also helped us load up our car with the items we had brought to set up. Plus all the kids at a blast !

I am giving a 5 because of my 5 1/2 year old who is neurodivergent is now participating in their 4-5 yr old boys class and the teacher Jayden is AMAZING. I watched him interact and engage with my son in the most honoring, compassionate, patient, and caring way. He didn't get frustrated when my child wasn't fully listening or following instructions, rather waited, redirected and kept him fully engaged throughout the class. Although I know his place has gotten mixed reviews they have been absolutely wonderful with me in terms of getting him in the right class, and responding to all my inquiries and now having my child with Jayden I won't leave until my child says he is done!!!

There are certainly more important concerns than customer service and business practices when considering a spot for your children to learn, quality and safety chief among them. Unfortunately, we did not get that far. Nate, the manager, was oddly combative in multiple interactions in which he thought that his ignorance of our appointment was our fault, argued over the price we were quoted, then on another occasion disavowed any responsibility for our trainer not showing up and declining to do anything about it. Sometimes you just can't do business with someone. Caveat emptor on this one.

For as much as they charge for the x league it should be a lot better! For the floor routine and beam routine the girls barely did anything compared to the other team competing and compared to previous gym my daughter was at in the same level.

Best birthday party venue!
Xtreme Altitude was the perfect place to host my son's 5th birthday party. Booking through the website was easy, and the staff was very responsive to questions via email. Jessica - the party coordinator - was great about finalizing details and making the planning process and party as stress-free as possible.
The party went really well and the kids had a blast! The party included 60 minutes in the gym, which was perfect for the 5-year-olds. The facility is super clean and perfect for a big, rambunctious group of kids to play around. (Love that the parties are private so you don't have to worry about too many kids in the space.) There are trampolines, foam pits, inflatables, and plenty of room to run. Gym staff were very helpful managing the kids to make sure everyone had fun and stayed safe. I love that parents are allowed out on the floor too. We finished the day with 30 minutes in the party room for pizza, juice boxes, and cupcakes, and all the kids were sent on their way with cool goodie bags. (The Xtreme package includes pizza, juice, and goodie bags - well worth the extra cost because it made everything so easy!) So thankful that we found XAG - highly recommend!

Edit 11/28/2022:
Girls Gym Stars 2 and Boys Gym Adventures
The center’s leadership team has been very productive in assuring we are happy with the change management they’ve implemented. I have noticed a positive difference in coaching. Recently, they opened a gym class for boys ages 4-7. I am looking forward to see how the instruction turns out. So far, Girls Gym Stars 2 is going well. They’ve been quick to respond about absence tokens.
Edit 8/23/2022:
Gym Stars 2
will update my review based on evaluation and possible re-enrollment this fall.
7/14/2021:
based on Preschool Little Stars and Girls Gym 1
It’s been an alright experience so far. Coaches are often rotating. The evaluations aren’t as frequent as they should be. There’s a lot going on at all times.
The tuition amount compared to the quality of coaching is not worth it. Also, the absence policy tokens are nearly impossible to redeem. I had to call back twice since. I’ve had about 4 tokens “expire” — that’s at least a month’s worth ($175).
My daughter enjoys it so I continue enrolling her but compared to other gyms (AZ) the 1:1 is missing. I don’t think she has gained new skills except what she’s worked on outside of class.

Our journey here at Xtreme has been incredible and we are very grateful for the many staff members and coaches who have been providing a clean, nurturing, & positive environment for our daughter to learn gymnastics in. As a former high school gymnast & collegiate level athlete I know a good gym when I step into one, and news flash this is it! Besides the Olympic Training facility in Colorado Springs I can honestly say that nothing will compare to this gym! It is gorgeous and is every gymnast dream come true!
Not only is it spacious, clean & very well organized it is a nationally known gym and we've met families who have traveled from other states to come here and let their athlete compete here. That's for a very good reason, this gym delivers results and not only has been training some of Colorado's top athletes, it's also being ran by them! Don't kid yourself, the owners & managers were all former high ranking gymnast, they know their stuff!
And we all know the age old saying, you pay for what you get right? Well here at Xtreme some of the tuition we all pay ensures that our gymnast will never breath in chalk dust or end up paralyzed. Their equipment is top notch, has been well maintained and the facility itself is what you are paying for, it's the very best.
Every class has been diligently created, designed and offered to accommodate a wide variety of age groups and different levels of athletes. Their entry level classes are phenomenal, and are a great introductory for your athlete into the sport! If nothing else, they will learn how to interact with others and build more of their fine motor and balance skills. The staff also does a great job of ensuring that all of the athletes are in smaller groups and are only moved up when they are truly ready. Notice how I say "athlete" and not "participant." You must find out what your gymnast would like to be, later on down the road because here at Xtreme they are truly training athletes which comes with a whole different set of expectations.
Progress can be made, but it's going to be made a lot slower than most other sports. Learning a skill is different than building the muscle strength, endurance, and muscle memory to ensure your athlete does it every-time with proper form reducing their risk of future injuries as they get older. The staff here are very conscious of those decisions and sometimes choose to keep a gymnast in a level even though it's a hard conversation and may present some challenges and am glad they do not take the easy way out and let the parents bully them into pushing their kids into the next level. There's nothing wrong with saying "you're no ready yet" and is in the gymnast best interest whether anyone likes it or not. If that's a limiting factor you can also have the option to schedule private lessons to provide additional support for your athlete.
Before doing your research on a gym, I would highly suggest starting doing more research on the sport itself. The parents on here who get it (I would guess) are either former gymnast or have come from other gyms and are telling you the TRUTH. The other parents on here who are complaining clearly haven't tumbled like I have on a wrestling mat and appreciate what this facility is offering. Nor would I guess have they ran their own businesses or worked with their own staff. We all know how hard it is to manage people, and a lot of coaches are former gymnast in high school who are usually going away to college, or something. I mean come on, is that really the problem here?
Life is all about choices. We choose Xtreme Altitude because they are the best of the best and that's what our daughter deserves. We are 6+ years strong here at Xtreme and have watched our daughter blossom and grow into a phenomenal gymnast but more importantly a beautiful person, and I know this gym and staff had a hand in that, and I am grateful our bouncy gymnast found her people!

My daughter started at this gym in August and we have had a wonderful experience. She is just 5 years old and the coaches are patient, positive, and have made her feel great even when those “big feelings” strike. In just 2 months her skills have exploded and her form has gotten so great. She is getting so strong and confident both physically and mentally. Sadly, my daughter broke her arm at recess and has had to be out but Xtreme Altitude has been so accommodating at getting us make up tokens so she can be right back at it when the cast comes off! I love the electronic feedback during evaluations as well through the app. She loves seeing where she is at and how she can work up to her skills!

Great venue for a birthday party! We had 18 kids who all had a blast. The kids loved the foam pit and the trampolines! Charli and Sam were great in helping keep things organized and less chaotic (although that’s impossible at times with 18 kids!)
Highly recommend for birthday parties!

Our son is an Optional level boys gymnast at Xtreme. We came to this gym a little over a year ago after moving to Colorado and after having a disappointing experience at another gym closer to our home. From the beginning, the staff at Xtreme has been very kind, even accommodating our child who sustained an injury early in the season which unfortunately sidelined him for the '22 competition season.
The front desk, for the most part, are mostly reserved in their communication with parents but they have been friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our concerns when we have engaged with them.
We have been exceptionally impressed with how the management and coaches promptly addressed two instances of concerning, harassing behavior from other peers on the team. The management was attentive and not at all hesitant to directly and promptly address our concerns. Additionally, the way the coaches handled the situation and clarified the expectations of the team were professional, age-appropriate, and with supportive yet stern language that the kids could without a doubt understand. The gym took the stance that there is always a lesson to be learned and gave the opportunity for the peers to learn from the situation and grow from the experience rather than simply inflicting punishment.
Is gymnastics an expensive sport? Absolutely. Do we sometimes eat beans and rice for dinner after a team payment, sure! Who doesn't? :) (some well-intended, good-natured humor). Unfortunately, it's just the reality of the sport.
Is there a decently high turnover of staff? Yep, and there has been at every gym we have been at during our last 10 years as gym parents. Quality instructors are hard to find and difficult to keep. It is a lesson to appreciate what you have, when you have it.
The scheduling of gymnastics is also tough. The gym does not consult parents, for the most part, about time changes and honestly, it can be a complicating obstacle with families trying to coordinate multiple kids and sports. However, this has been our experience everywhere and especially as the kids grow to be higher level competitors. At some point, will sacrifices have to be made to accomodate a gym schedule? Absolutely. However, it is not unlike many other sports.
Overall, Xtreme has been a great fit for our family and we have found that when given respect, they are very happy to return that same level of respect and professionalism. Are there issues? Sure, but I have never known a sport without them. :)

We just recently left this gym due some poor constumer service in communication. I was talked to very disrespectfully from the owner himself on the phone. If you are looking for a good gymnastics place, do your research. There are quality gyms out there that have better rates and costumer service. I refused to be talked to like this and decided to leave. If the owner is treating the parents in such a poor manner, how the are the coaches being treated? How are the kids being treated? I definitely did not see leadership qualities in a phone call that could have been an easy-fix conversation.

I don't have an experience of this gym, so I want to clarify that right away.
But I do have a problem with the fact that their preschool curriculum is only designed for stay-at-home parents and kids who aren't in school or daycare. They do not offer one single evening or weekend opportunity for a preschooler to engage with gymnastics. As the only gymnastics provider in Lafayette, this is a glaring oversight. Do they just not care about kids of working parents? It's perplexing.

This gym values it’s cash intake over safety.
What type of gym makes 8 year olds compete on Sunday nights past 9pm during the school year.
Legally, you’re not allowed to have teenagers work on school nights later than 7-8pm, but this gym decides they want to force a 4th session on everyone late at night, when every other gym stops at 3 sessions, just to line their pockets.
This imposes major metal and physical safety risks on children, competing this late.
The owner needs to re-evaluate his priorities.

If I could, I would rate this a 0 star. Last Saturday, my sister had her gymnastics meet and she got 9.1's and other 9.1's. When they were announcing youth winners for vault, beams, bars, and floor, and all round, My sister got NONE. And she worked so hard. I'm not trying to be a Karen here, but I think it's not fair, because she told me another girl got a 8.7 but STILL got a medal. I would not trust this place with their meets.

The vibe of these people is strange, and I'm really glad to have my son out of that dark environment. This is a type of culture to stay away from and I wouldn't send my child there again, we were there about a year and a half and wow it's bad. How they treat each other is not healthy and how they see the children is even worse.

My daughter has engaged in competitive gymnastics here for over a year and was previously at the company's sister site in Broomfield for several years.
Overall, the instruction seems fairly solid, and my daughter enjoys attending and engaging with her friends in gymnastics. It is a fairly expensive sport, though I don't think that Xtreme is substantially more expensive than other studios.
The staff turnover seems very high. Coaches are often coming and going for no apparent reason. This tends to be hard on the gymnasts. They spend a lot of time at the gym, so when the coaches suddenly leave, the gymnasts get upset.
The studio also seems to have no concept of the fact that children attend school and parents work. There have been several times in which schedules have changed such that either it was impossible to get my daughter to practice without leaving work early or sometimes even without her leaving school early. Further, the family often has absolutely no say in the days/times the kiddos attend practice. The gym communications often say they cannot make exceptions to the schedule your child has been assigned. That is the most frustrating part.
I'm not sure how this compares to other studios because I do not want to move my daughter since she has made so many friends here. If schedule is potentially an issue for your family, and they change at least twice a year, consider looking elsewhere that is either more flexible or gives families more input.

We had my son's 3rd birthday party at Xtreme Altitude this weekend and it was amazing. The staff was so helpful. They helped with everything from setting up the room to distributing food to carrying the presents to the car. They were so sweet and even remembered the names of the 18 kids we had there. I cannot recommend it enough. The price was similar to other facilities, but for the customer service, you can't beat it. Took my 2 year old for a tryout and was very disappointed. The mats and floors were filthy probably because the coaches were wearing sneakers! Never seen that in my life! Number one rule in gymnastics- no shoes on the mats! They also spent too much time explaining and on each station. Very slow moving. Toddlers need to go, go, go! There was more inactivity than activity for the lil ones. There were 2 coaches, so I didn’t understand why they couldn’t make 2 groups. When I called and said I was choosing not to enroll my child due to the unsanitary conditions, her response was, “ok!”. Didn’t even consider the idea of having the coaches take off their shoes. Really? We used to go to Cats in Boulder, which we loved, but it’s just too far. However, I’d go back there before ever going back to Xtreme altitude. Going to try Mountain Kids in Louisville. I already called and the first thing they said after collecting my info was, make sure there’s nothing on your child’s feet! I like them already! Absolutely disgusted by this place.

Don't waste your time and money! Our daughter competed on their Junior Olympic team and at first we loved this gym. Then we ran into some financial difficulties about two months after we started. We fell behind during a two month time period, but got everything caught up and had a clean payment record after that. On the last day before Christmas break, we were informed that we were too much of a burden on them and that they were a very "prestigious gym" so they kicked us out. They told us they didn't think we could handle the increased financial burden as our daughter climbed the ranks. I'm so glad they know our finances better than we do! My daughter lives and breathes gymnastics. When we explained the siuation to her, she sobbed uncontrollably for a solid 20 minutes. Prestigious? Sounds more like greedy to me! They would rather squash the dreams of a little girl than work with someone going through a temporary hardship. They see dollar signs instead of athletes!

Be sure to do your homework and confirm the party coordinator/coach's approach: hands on/organized events or hands off. FYI, children over preschool age cannot use gymnastic equipment. They have a different approach than Mountain Kids - make sure if fits your expectations.
