We signed up and used the gym daily for 2 months having contact with multiple staff who were very nice. Then we were told our son could no longer use the weights because he wasn’t old enough. But when we signed up we were told her could. Then we were told we still had to pay for the following month even though we asked to cancel. I get your policy but we were given the wrong information and the told we still have to pay for a month we won’t be utilizing the gym. Terrible customer service. And my son felt like he had done something wrong. Way to promote fitness in young people. Your management needs some training in customer relations. Sad. 😔

Someone put a lock on the locker I had my clothes in and the front desk was absolutely no help. They said I just had to wait for whoever it was to come back. Just a warning to anyone wanting to come here. They don't care about their members.

These People Kept Rasing The Price For Swining First In Was $120 Then, Right in front Of us raised the price to $150 so we went in the car for 5 minutes to get more money since they raised the price We got more money and we came back in to pay then it was Magically raised to $170 Don't Go Here If You Don't Want To Get Scammed

I called to ask a simple question. The guy that answered the phone made schedule an appointment to answer my question. I showed up and the guy was late for his appointment and then blamed me for having the wrong time. He then went through the company's purpose and mission statement quickly because he didn't actually want to talk to me. Sorry but that all adds up to a terrible experience. My question was, "How much are memberships?" He could have answered that question on the phone quickly and not been a terrible ambassador for the YMCA. I guess even the YMCA has a hard time finding good employees to hire. He should be fired for being a bad employee

The Birthday party felt rushed and the staff were not friendly. 1 hr of an activity and 1 hr in the community room I should of just did the community room for 2 hrs. Even though we reserved the party and payed $300. They did not block it off the area we requested but told us we had to stay in a designated area? People who did not reserve the party were going all over the activity room. The community room had our stuff in their and no one was using it. We only had 1 hr 15 min to setup, eat and then pack up the party. My child's first moments and memories what made it count but honestly I am never booking here again I only did it because it was last minute... I am not happy and want my full refund!!!

I have been a member for a few months...I take my granddaughters to swim....Have had very bad experience with the pool area. The young life guards are very rude and pay very little attention to the swimmer's. And when they take the children from the child care they have the staff don't even pay attention to the children. Sad I pay a lot of money for mediocre staff. Thinking of taking my money elsewhere.

I really like the Y. Swimming is my activity; however, I have a TERRIBLE time interpreting the monthly schedule for "summer hours". I have printed off the June schedule but can not make "heads or tails" of it. All I need is the hours when the lap lanes are open for lap swimming. Because of the haphazard spacing on the schedule, I cannot tell what times match up to what activity. Is there any way I can get a schedule of JUST WHEN THE LAP LANES ARE OPEN and nothing else? I hope someone in the administration can read this and pass it on to whomever types up the schedule. Thank you for your assistance.

This place is horrible in December. I paid $125 to start a membership which she said I was able to go through and I paid my dues then January 2 came and I was able to go in and take my kids swimming. Then towards the end of the month, I went to take my daughter swimming and they told me that my membership was not active. I said how could that be? I said I’ve already paid in two months and we were able to come in January. He informed me About some bogus policy, he didn’t even spell it right in the email. He called it police and that the lady at the front desk didn’t charge me right so I’m paying $210 within two months as a single mother and they want me to pay another $113 by February so within three months I have paid $323.00 dollars for a membership as a single mother with two kids I’m not sure this makes sense and that was for December January and February they wouldn’t explain to me why they’re charging me so much. I really feel like they’re trying to weed out color families or Hispanic families or lower class families so I advise that people don’t go to this establishment unless you. our higher class, but also just understand you will not be getting hot water because the hot water was broken. People will be staring at your children in the pool because it’s older peoples time when it’s open swim you have to pick and choose times that you can go to this gym because they don’t have open swim. I’d like to get a refund but I’m going to have to go to the news about this and I’m tired of it.

I go to this facility everyday with my two year old. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff is lovely, especially the Childwatch staff. My daughter is elated to go there everyday and loves the staff! The pool and library are a wonderful addition. The gym has lots to offer with two separate gym areas. There is also lots of seasonal activities for family’s to partake in.

The worst athletic club for one major reason, you can’t cancel your membership without going through a full length process, i have sent emails i have called and they’re refusing to do anything about it. Horrible and vile would not have joined if I knew about this, since they won’t cancel it i’ll also be due next months. I’ve followed all of the processes and everything but nothing actually vile and I will recommend everyone to find someone else.

I have been enjoying working out here. It has helped my knees and my ankles especially the pool. I asked on Tuesday 10/29 if the pool would be open despite festivities on 10/31. I was assured it would be. So 10/31 rolls around, I do my workout in the gym and go to the pool and found out it was closed. When I asked about it at the front desk I was told it had been open but no one was there at 5:30 so they closed it. I asked where the poolbeing closed was posed. They said it wasn't. I told them I was assured it would be open. They said sorry. I can't come early. Like a LARGE percent of people I work during the day. Then the pool is closed for swim lessons from. 6-7 so I am limited to 7-8 to do pool exercises. It is NOT professional to randomly close the pool without letting people know or posting it somewhere. The Y is NOT JUST FOR KIDS!!!

Got a membership here because I thought it would be a great place to take my daughter and her friends for the summer. We had a great experience the last few weeks of school. Everything was open. There were plenty of things for kids to do, and then summer started, and that came to a screaming halt. All of a sudden, their staff dropped (there was barely anyone working). the sauna was broken for weeks and smelled awful! But the worst part is all of a sudden huuuuuge portions of every day were taken up by water aerobics classes that they shut the whole pool down for. This would happen at key times parents would be off work so if you wanted to take the family to the pool forget it because they shut down the entire pool and the lap lanes for the like 7 people doing aerobics it was insane it kept happening so I asked to see a schedule of the pool times and it was absurd there was no time except early morning for families and kids to swim we dropped our membership and then they charged me for an extra month at the end. Worst rec center experience I've ever had. They are great for youth sports, though, so 2 stars.

The management at this facility leaves much to be desired. The pool manager, lifeguards, and class instructor have acted in the most disrespectful manner towards my mother and grandmother. I have gone with my mother and grandmother to free swim on multiple occasions, and have been bullied out of free swim early every time by the older woman in that class. The management team has done nothing to handle the situations appropriate manner, instead they canceled the memberships of two disabled woman who have no other way to exercise. I am extremely disappointed by how my family was treated and I do not recommend this facility.

Yes I love the facility it's beautiful but by the way Jeanette Jeanette Andrews the president and CEO of the YMCA let her know that there's a place down there used to be an urgent Care down by the mineral Palace Park that'd be perfect location to buy that where the skinny motors the city you can put a pool in there and it could be on YMCA there let her know about the building to buy some weights and people can work out over there by the park and run by the park it's off of Santa Fe if someone would let her know about that property so she can buy it it's been empty for about 5-6 years now going on 7:00 but that's a perfect location because they used to be downtown that's a perfect location by the mineral Palace Park it's on the corner of Santa Fe and I think 13th Street used to be more skinny motors if somebody could get the message to her so she could buy that building and open up a YMCA downtown it would be great to have a pool there and a workout place to go to thank you so if somebody read this give her the message let her read what I think I think she's probably open it up by next summer June 2025

My family loves the Y! The YMCA has programming available for all ages and abilities, but we particularly enjoy doing water aerobics (for the slightly older folks) and the swim lessons (for the younger ones). We held my 7 year old's party at the pool and the price was reasonable, especially compared to other "activity" type parties around time. The Y made it super easy with online forms and registration, not just for the party, but for their other classes as well (maybe you're like me and dislike having to call or show up in person simply to reserve a time or sign up for swim lessons).

The statement “usually responds in a day” is a lie. I sent an email directly to Janelle Andrews and still waiting for a response after FIVE days. The pool director has little interest in the pool and appears to be working hard to keep members out by scheduling swim lessons in both pools, field trips during lessons (even though he claimed that pool walkers couldn’t use the pool because of a lack of life guards and yet managed to find some for a field trip concurrent with those lessons). He lied when confronted about the issues. Will not respond to complaints and limits access in favor of private swim lessons, despite a very happy compromise last year with the prior director, Catherine. There are many issues with the pools, the steam room, showers and staff. There is one department of the Y doing a phenomenal job, that is the child watch! Good job ladies!!!!!

I like it there but the website is completely broken. The Pueblo website doesn't even have an option to sign in or login to check your membership or days you were there, or other useful info that I did have access to at one point when I verified my email but now I have no way to sign in which is very frustrating, when I do try and login after finding some sort of login it doesn't recognize my email even though i already set it all up and saved my info so i know its right. Then when i try to create an account Pueblo is not even an option in the choose a city section. Very frustrating. I hope someone fixes this and I'll change my review.

Do not support YMCA there just money hungry and could not care less about our youth or community I understand the sports is by volunteer for the couch but to not even have one and still let practice go on. Without offering refunds is crazy. I paid 100 dollars to put my son in flag football there first practice was today and there was no coach the kids had no one there and no direction plus they have a game in two weeks how can you take everyone's money and let this happen. They had an employee there but he did nothing and was very rude and bothered to answer any questions. A very horrible experience.

They post flyers offering free passes for 5 star reviews. I'd love a free pass to show my my experience was a one off. We start with the schedule says. Adult swim pool time... But lifeguards can let kids in if they want to and assured me it was fine. So my adult swim time during clearly labeled adult time was interrupted by about 6 screaming kids. It's not ok it's why I came during 18 and up time only. I left to go use the sauna.. To bad it's not working either Whatever.. I'll
Shower and leave. Or rinse with a trickle of cold water and leave. So. No swimming. No sauna no showers... Not an experience worth paying for.

I’ve lived her my whole life and you just took it away because of “Covid” and don’t want to bring it back then just say you only do the first Friday weekends of the month so guest can try the y out before buying a membership at that rate you should be able to just bring the day pass back all together 🤬

The facility is clean, front staff are nice. The preschool plus section however, is not the best. The Child Development director hires "teachers" without experience and doesn’t provide proper training, leaving the staff overwhelmed, which reflects on the level of care provided. The facility in general is not ran very well. The staff are overworked for the amount they are paid, resulting in an overwhelmingly high staff turnover rate. It is unfortunate because the Y has a lot of potential but they need to learn how to treat their staff better and figure out how to operate without constantly lying to their members, staff, and participants. Don't ever take things at face value with the Y. Their directors and higher staff members are great at making things appear more pleasant than they actually are.

I attended a birthday party that was held at the ymca recently. You pay a fee for ever hour your there to have your birthday party. We only had one hour to swim and an hour for the party. You also only get 15 minutes to set up the party. Right before our time was up the employees were asking if we were almost done and if we were 15 minutes past our time we needed to pay for another hour. Most parties there are for children and take more than 2 hours. We felt very rushed and more rushed when the employees were standing outside the room waiting for us to leave. Both Nicole’s (director and staff) are wonderful people and will ensure your child has a great, fun, learning experience! The Pueblo Y is so much more than just a gym. We love it! 10/10 recommend!

Let’s paint the scene. A weary traveler wanders the barren wasteland of old unhealthy habits with fog thicker than egg nog. Soda, sweets, fast food, and more unhealthy items that range in the NC-17 rating system. Things that were originally a comfort were now multiplying and shackling the traveler. They were moving in quicksand (a threat we all at one point believed was very real and more common, don’t lie!). Sinking and now drowning from being sedentary and not practicing moderation.. the traveler reaches out in a frenzy from being smothered. Praying and promising that they will make a change. Their hands make contact with a steel door handle. Prying it open, the traveler stumbles and falls in. They open their eyes and realize the fog is lifting, their shackles vanishing, and the sun breaking through! An angelic choir can be heard. The traveler looks up and sees the choir made up of a police officer, construction worker, a Chieftain, and a John Wayne cowboy being lowered on a cloud singing a lovely hymn about all the fun you’ll have staying here and that “there’s no need to feel down, young man! Pick yourself off the ground”
Dusting themselves off, the staff greets them at the door with a smile. The traveler is taking it all in. The lobby is welcoming and inviting. To the traveler’s left, they see the expansive rock wall. Their 2 o’clock has a pool, 11 o’clock a daycare play area, and in the far back, you can faintly hear weights. Staff can be seen walking and conversing with members. This isn’t just an establishment, its a community. “Can I see more?” the traveler asks the staff member at the front desk.
End scene! In all seriousness, great staff and environment. The YMCA offers a variety of outlets to the public so that they can become their best selves. And they also offer a safe place for kids to play with attentive staff there while parents get their exercise in. The price is reasonable and doesn’t break the bank. It truly is fun to stay at the YMCA

This facility has so much to offer! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There are so many amazing classes and programs to choose from, that are all included with a membership. The instructors here go above and beyond, to make everyone feel safe. The membership team makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. I love feeling like I'm part of a community. Everyone, from childcare,to sports and aquatics, is outstanding in their profession and I highly recommend this facility.

Amazing Dinner/Dance. Nailed it with the food. The stations were a great idea! The good choices were perfect for the daughters. I do feel the DJ needs to play more dancing music. Line Dances, well known artists. A lot of sing a longs were played but they are good choices for dancing. The giveaways should be more gift cards, baskets and/or apparel. It was a blast but just wanted to give a few recommendations to take it over the top

There are always clean towels and spray cleanser to keep things clean. Plenty of resistance machines and weights available for upper and lower body workouts.

The YMCA isn't bad per se but when it comes to their YMCA basketball Program, it's extremely bad. (We've been in the volleyball program and it isn't even remotely this bad) The refs are your typical "you get what you get". They try but aren't your trained refs so when it comes to nail biter games don't expect to get even calls. We played a game where our boy got smacked in the face, started to bleed and still nothing. Happened again, and no call. See where I'm going with this? Next, if a team is "struggling", we found out they will allow even midseason for a team to recruit an exceptional player from another team so they can WIN. Just to win. Yes, they allow it!! We found this out through the head of the program. He was telling this to a coach and a bunch of us heard it, from his own mouth. So, they'll allow a team to recruit a top player (when I say top player, this is a player that can easily score minimum 20 points on his own each half) or maybe even 2 from another team mid season yet allow players on the SAME team that aren't as good to sit the ENTIRE game. We witnessed it. Just to WIN. The YMCA program isn't a traveling program. This isn't a tryout only program. This is supposed to be a program that helps kids get into sports and work on their talents, not just WIN. Now it's teaching them the wrong ethics. I, along with a very large group of parents that found all of this out, are just really disappointed in this program, the director and what their mission is that they are teaching these kids bc yes, our kids found out all of this too.

We just rejoined the Y after several years and I'm so glad we did!! Our youngest went to preschool here. Pleased to see that its clean and been well maintained. Equipment is up to date and in good shape. Our now teenagers love it and go on their own to maintain fitness for their sports off season. They have happily commented on how many options are available to them in regard to equipment. We like the culture and friendly people. I'm enjoying the classes, especially Vickies. Will be trying midday classes also. Rejoining has been a great decision for us!!

He truly cares about the Y, and it’s members.

I had a personal training session with Kelly. Loved every day of it. Not only that when I went skiing, like I was training for, no thigh fatigue like I had had before. Kelly listened to what I needed. Showed me how to do the exercises that would help. Made sure that I was executing them properly. Helped adapt the things I could not do, it was the perfect Experience. Thank You Kelly.

They turned me and my 2 year old nephew away from swimming because I'm from a different YMCA and he's not on my membership and claimed they are all run differently so I can't use my yearly free passes at their YMCA ... What a joke. The guy was just plain rude after we waited patiently for them to call and confirm my membership. Horrible customer service and they should be ashamed of themselves watching that little boy cry his eyes out because we had to leave and not swim. Shame on them! Kelly was rude to me and the employees at my YMCA. DO NOT RECOMMEND

DO NOT TAKE SWIM CLASSES FOR KIDS
I have children ages 3 and 5 and paid a good amount of money for it for the ONE month they have swim class.
It’s only 2 days out of the week only 30 minutes of “ swim class”
They really don’t teach them anything just
Simon says and a bunch of nonsense.
I could teach swim class better and that’s a fact! Plus they have a BABIES swim class in the SAME pool going on at the SAME TIME as their swim class. Can’t hardly even hear what the “instructors” are saying NEVER going to sign them up for that EVER again.
So SAVE YOUR MONEY !
Signed my son up for basketball next month HOPEFULLY I’ll get my moneys worth and he actually LEARNS SOMETHING

I came to swim however they kept saying they were at capacity but I kept seeing people leave but because they were waiting on people who haven’t showed they said they could let others in and it wasn’t on the schedule. I went to cancel my membership and Derk community program director was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak to the person that could issues me a refund but refused to let me talk to that person. Instead he stood there insisted to argue with me and be ridiculously rude!!! After this horrible experience I just want my money back!!!

They have great programs such as Zumba. Love it! They have child watch which is wonderful for a busy mother of 3 to watch young children. My kids attend the preschool plus and the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate my kiddos. Family camp is always a wonderful time at Camp Jackson. Their online registration just got better.
Pandemic time was a trying time and after school pick up was paused, however, they supported working moms by opening up a dayschool program and they have gone the extra mile. I find the staff is caring.
