Yoga House RX, 2025, is the new name with the newest owner.
The current owner does not exemplify the core values of yoga and instead has been observed being unkind to a yoga instructor/s who subsequently quit. The owner then blamed myself, a student, for the teacher's departure claiming the student had caused her to "lose money". A distasteful text message was sent to the student threatening police if she returned.
I practiced at YH regularly for over a year and this experience with the owner (love the teachers) is still the most absurd thing I've known in my 62 years of life. Just unbelievable and especially from a place that's meant to be a safe space.
Your condescending response below, Karla, is considered gaslighting. Very serious legal allegations to make false accusations of "harassment and stalking". Such an unprofessional and demeaning response. What you wrote validates your unkind behavior towards instructors and students alike. Perhaps you're the one needing the help and there is nothing wrong with that.

I've been going to Yoga house for 2 months. Great yoga teachers and friendly people of all ages. The focus is on growing in your practice, not perfection. Lots of modifications are offered.

Yoga House changed my life for the better. The owner is the most beautiful person - highly recommend this place if you want to experience the spiritual side of yoga, not just the physical.

Yoga House has warm and welcoming feel. The right balance between feeling professional and at home. Jan is fantastic at filling the space with an encouraging presence. I highly recommend trying a class here. If your new to yoga, then this is a place to try. Leave your preconceived expectations behind and come try it out. Itβs an experience.

The Yoga House has become my safe place, a place to practice and meditate, a place to slow down and breathe. I am so thankful for the Yoga House! They made yoga accessible to me as a beginner, and they challenge me to keep improving. When I first started yoga practice about a year ago, I knew very little about yoga. I didn't have great form (honestly I had no form at all!), and I didn't understand the flows. Over time and patient practice, I've come a long way. Some of the things I've learned to do:
-- Assisted headstand
--warrior poses and flows
--greater flexibility in my hips and shoulders
Yoga has also helped me heal from injuries and increase my mobility. This spring, I'm excited to attend the 20 hour Yin training. I don't know much about Yin, but the few times I"ve practiced Yin, it has always given me greater flexibility and less hip pain.
The spiritual side of yoga has also been a huge benefit to me. I have an extremely demanding job, and I get pulled in so many different directions all day long I started yoga at a time when I was burned out and in constant worry about my business. Stopping several times a week to take care of my mind and body got me through this rough time. I'm thankful for the Montrose Yoga House and the amazing instructors!

I can't say enough good things about Yoga House! The owner is super friendly and has been amazingly responsive whenever I've reached out with questions, they offer incredible events (the yoga festival was magical & I cannot wait for the Mala bead workshop), and they offer early morning and later evening classes which are hard to find in this area. Tonight I attended the hot yoga class with Chanel for the first time & absolutely loved it. It was a physically challenging class that also honored the mindful, meditative, and spiritual attributes of the yoga practice in a lovely, synergistic way. This studio is a 45 minute drive from my house, but well worth it for the warmth and community found within.

I have really enjoyed the classes I have taken so far. There is a relaxing atmosphere, class mates and teachers are friendly, and they offer fair prices and a variety of classes to choose from. The teachers are there to provide a great class experience and also will provide instruction to make sure you are getting the full benefits from the practice.

There are not enough good things to say about The Yoga House... for starters, I moved to Delta, CO about 2.5 years ago and I was having a hard time finding a sense of community until I stumbled upon The Yoga House! The teachers are great and the studio is so welcoming. The studio provides a good variety of classes. I enjoy power flows as well as Yin but, my favorite class is Saturday Hot Yoga with Chanel!! I like to refer to the class as βchurchβ as I think itβs the best of all things wellness - physical, mental, spiritual health and well being ππΌ thank you Yoga House the 20 minute drive is SO worth it β€οΈ

I love going to the classes at yoga house. It has such a calm and peaceful atmosphere. All the instructors are great. I really enjoy the 6am sunrise yoga with Kylie. It is a great way to start my day and gives me time to get home to take care of my kids before my husband has to leave for work. I've learned how to use my roller and stretch my sore running/climbing muscles. The heated yoga flow class is awesome too, challenging and fun!

Iβm so grateful I found this studio! I currently live in India and Iβve taken yoga classes from all around the world. I was a little skeptical on how good a yoga class could be in a small town, but honestly this place is easily one of the best studios Iβve been to. My favorite class is hot yoga with Chanel. Her technical skill and guidance is spot on and perfectly balanced with her kindness and wisdom. She adds personal touches to the class which will leave you feeling zen, accomplished, and sanctified ππΌπ§πΌββοΈπ

Inviting and intimate studio. Many different types of classes and wonderful instructors. If you can't accomplish all of the poises instructors suggest modifications to help.

I am so excited that Yoga House opened in Montrose! It is very inviting with quality teachers and variety of class styles. They even offer SUP Yoga in collaboration with the Rec Center which was crazy fun and empowering (thank you Melissa!). My "go to" class is on Wed am with Chanel. Her class is just what I need to break up my week and keep me moving! I'm going to try a couple lunch flow classes as I hear great things too. In the past I have driven to Ridgway and Telluride for yoga. Now I have great yoga 5 min from my house. Thank you Melissa for opening!

Yoga House is just what Montrose needed! The studio is professional, welcoming and perfectly located downtown. The owner, Melissa, has done a fantastic job to provide a great variety of classes at convenient times. I especially love the lunchtime flow from 12:15-12:45 every weekday! It's so nice to be able to purchase class packages and sign up for classes on the website. Highly recommend!
