Tracy is a wonderful yoga teacher.
She has such positive energy with an obvious passion for sharing yoga through well-planned classes that challenge physicality, flexibility and balance.

A welcoming environment for both beginners and veterans of yoga. Vinyasa & hot yoga classes have improved my physical strength, posture and neck problems after having babies. In addition, the amazing instructors always help me clear the clutter out of my mind and remind me to breathe. Classes improve my overall mood & fitness. I highly recommend giving a class a try!

This is a nice place to practice Bikram. Wish they had full hour and half Bikram class in the afternoon.. I am not a fan of music Bikram but that is personal taste. The teachers are knowledgeable. Some are more militant than others. I need to drink through out the practice so I go with the more laid back instructors. Clean, welcoming, but not much of a community. Perfect for non joiners.

Great studio, great instructors, fair prices. Have to strongly disagree with any reviewers who have said the instructors are rude or unaccommodating. I definitely stand out from your "typical" yoga student and I've never been treated poorly by any instructor or student at FHY. Everyone has been helpful and friendly.

I first started practicing Bikram yoga just over a year ago at an amazing studio which was immaculately clean, loads of space, showers, changing rooms and really incredible staff. When I moved further south into Fairfield county, I could no longer justify the commute to my old studio, so I tried a Groupon for a Bikram studio in Norwalk (5 min from my house but I will not go back because dealing with the funky smells, rushed sessions with music, and lack of bathrooms/showers was just not worth the cost). I'm so happy to have found Fairfield hot yoga. Even though I have to drive a bit to get there, the facilities are great, and the staff is good. I've experienced several (but not all) of the instructors, and although they each have their own style and I definitely prefer some to others, in the end, it's my practice and I complete the 26 postures and feel great. The schedule is posted online, so if you prefer a particular instructor, just check before you go, or call to see who is teaching! I just wish it wasn't quite so expensive (I'm on a promotion at the moment).

Great Studio, the Instructor Not So Much!
I have been to dozens of studios and practiced w/ over a hundred teachers. The studio space is quite nice. Freshly painted, clean, no hot-yoga -funk smell. And the other students were very friendly --more so than at most studios, Only problem is that the instructor (Stephanie) is one of the worst I've encountered. Her timing for the initial breathing exercise is WAY off (I know teachers sometimes play w/ things like this to help students experience things differently, but asking students to compete to see how long they can hold their breath is not a good idea for several reasons--we all started the class literally breathless, and were told that the class is a competition, when of course it should not be)
But the main problem is that Stephanie is far more into control than teaching. She "corrected" me multiple times for well-established and minor variations of asanas. She gave us poor cues as to when to start postures, and frequently admonished us the "stay together" when we had no cues to help us do so. Much of her language is negative ("imagine that you desperately need to hold something between your legs", "force your knees to lock").
Still, the space is great, and I love hot yoga....
I may be back, but only if there's someone else teaching!

I love this studio. I've been going here for almost 2 years and I still get a great workout, even after all this time. I have gone to several studios locally and nationally and I still find FHY to be top notch. The teachers are not only incredibly talented, they're also incredibly nice. The facility is clean, fresh and has a great vibe. Give this place a shot- it's pretty amazing.

I am also perplexed by the negative reviews here. I have been coming to FHY for over a year and love the staff, studio and classes. They have always been friendly and accommodating especially the owner. As with any studio there will be a flow of new students especially during certain times of year or during promotions. Just plan ahead and come in early so you have enough time to complete paperwork/pay. It does create a lot of commotion when a group of new students comes a few minutes before a class and the front desk has to rush to get them setup. I have never seen them turn anyone away on any circumstance. Even those who arrive after the class has started still squeeze into class. Regarding the Groupon - I've never had an issue. It does state for new customers only and that confusion seems to be the problem. I came to find FHY thru a Groupon special and I stayed because they offered good deals even after mine expired. They definitely wanted to keep me as a student and a customer. I've been to other studios using Groupon and felt like it just would rope me into a place I couldn't afford to continue once it was done. Just plan ahead and read the policy. You shouldn't have any trouble but I realize issues can and will arise. FHY deserves the benefit of the doubt here.

I'm perplexed by these reviews, so feel compelled to share my experience. I have been practicing at Fairfield Hot Yoga off and on for several years, after many years at another area hot yoga studio and a total now of 14 years with a dedicated hot yoga practice. the owners and teachers here have been universally friendly and knowledgeable, and the studio and facilities are clean and really well maintained. Whether you're looking for a seasoned teacher in the 26-posture series (I won't mention it by name, since this isn't an "official" studio of that yoga style, but all teachers here who lead that series are certified in its method), or a heated vinyasa class, or kids yoga -- and whether you're a beginner or experienced yogi, I strongly recommend Fairfield Hot Yoga. :)

I have been going to FHY pretty much since it first opened. The entire staff is extremely friendly and they make every effort to get to know their clients by name which makes it very welcoming. They focus a bit more on the physical aspect of yoga than other studios, which I absolutely love. Also, sometimes the teachers ask if there are any special requests (for example: which areas of your body do you want to focus on) during the session and they change the class accordingly (e.g. backbends, hip openers or β€˜please no abs today!’). During the class the teachers assist the students and correct their postures as well as bring them props if needed. This extra attention to detail is nice as in most big studios the chances of getting corrected are pretty slim.

The studio is very spacious and the floor to ceiling mirrors are the biggest I have ever seen in a studio. I have never seen any students being turned away ever! But I guess you could always sign up for the class online to make sure you can attend if that is a concern. Parking is safe, ample, and never a problem. The studio is easy to get to as its right off the 95. And on your way home you can pick up some treats from the French Bakery just 2 mins away (got to reward yourself!).

The studio uses state of the art technology including an air filtration system that eliminates odours and germs. Also they have PEM plastic flooring which prevents bad smells common in other studios (esp. the traditional Bikram studios with carpet only – yuck!). Talking about smells, they have a very good mat cleaner which you can use for free after class. They have two showers (one in each changing room) that are always stocked with nice shampoo and wash gels in case you have an appointment to go to directly after practice. Hair dryers and other styling products are provided as well.

The crowd at FHY is great. People chit chat in the changing room and talk about the newest deals on chilled water bottles and where to get them.
The best of all is that you get a really good workout – every time!!

I recently went to this facility for a trial class and they were so rude and made you feel so uncomforatable as a new customer you would think they would more accomidating. As I had driven from Greenwich to take his class I was turned away they said they could not accomidate me but there modo is no one will ever be turned away what BULL. The Owner was there and he was just as rude as the lady at the desk as well as the instructor and while I was there I heard nothing but bad reviews of people coming out of the class befor me. So i guess in the long run I was lucky not to have wasted my time. Thanks for nothing

I recently went into Fairfield Hot Yoga to use a Groupon I had received for 30 sessions. I had gone to the studio once before and had a bad experience, myself and 3 other people went in to do a drop in class and we were told from other students the class was full and we couldn’t attend. We then got our money back and left. We never did the class. This time I went back to try it again because I had done hot yoga at another studio and enjoyed it. The lady at the front desk started putting my information into the computer then turned to me and in a very rude tone said to me I could not use my Groupon because I had been there before. When I explained to her the situation she got even more rude and said she needed to call her boss. She called her boss and he also was very rude and told us we could not use the Groupon and to return them. They not only were very rude and disrespectful but they embarrassed me in front of the other students. They had zero customer service skills and treated me like my money and time were not worth it to them. I will never go back to that studio nor will I recommend anyone else to go there. I have never been treated so horrible by a company before. With the way the economy is today I am very surprised they were not willing to try and work something out or even apologize for any miscommunication. If they had done something besides be rude and disrespectful I would have thought about purchasing a few sessions. I do not recommend this studio to anyone!
