I’ve been going to the studio since it opened and it’s been a wonderful experience! I’ve noticed that I’m getting more toned and I’ve taken classes with most if not all the instructors. All of them have been amazing very kind and also aware of injuries or other things going on! The people at the front desk are also great!

The certified instructors are the best part of the studio, don't have to worry about any moves being unsafe, if you have an injury they are trained to work around it to not worsen it, amazing if you are doing pilates for physical therapy and rehabilitation!

I am so happy the Club Pilates studio opened in New Haven! I was looking for Pilates studios before I moved to New Haven and was excited when I heard a club Pilates in New Haven would open in Summer 2023. The staff is absolutely amazing and I have really enjoyed the variety of classes they offer. I mainly attend reformer flow and cardio sculpt classes. By attending classes consistently I’ve been able to improve my core strength and tone my body!

great start to my mornings! The instructors are all wonderful and kind! Some classes feel more like a workout compared to others so just read the description for the class before you go in so your expectations are adjusted. If you do it consistently, you will feel and see the results :)

Love this place! I go 3 times a week (I recommend the unlimited subscription because of that!) It took me a bit to familiarize myself with the instructors, types of classes and so, but once I discovered what worked for me it became awesome. The instructors are all amazing, they prioritize wellness and wellbeing over anything and that has given me strength to get moving and then complement Pilates with other sports elsewhere.

Club Pilates is great but not without its flaws! Which is kind of to be expected from a corporate run exercise space. It’s not LA Fitness bad, but there are some annoyances. If you know about the policies going in, you can avoid some of the money grabbing pitfalls. The staff has always offered clarification and leeway if there was an issue. My only complaint with them (except Ashley) is the music needs to be more diverse and consistently match the energy of the class. I can be in table top with Beyoncé and Rhianna too - not just Taylor Swift!
Once you start taking classes, you can get a feel for which class types and instructors work for and challenge you. I’ve been enrolled for two years now and Dana, Delaney, Ashley, Sherry, Marilyn, and Carlee (who left but deserves a shout out!) have noticeably helped my progress in Pilates. This team also responds to suggestions so if you find that the classes aren’t hard enough, mention a level 2 workshop or needing to level up.
I’ve also met some really great people in classes! There are “extracurricular “ events and other ways to build community. Yes the policies are irritating but the instructors, class types, and overall environment definitely make up for it!

I love Club Pilates in New Haven! The staff is amazing and so welcoming. Starting a new exercise like Pilates can be intimidating, but CP makes it so easy. You never feel dumb with the movements because everyone is so encouraging. Shout out Delaney!

Reformer pilates is a lot of fun and the Club Pilates studio in New Haven is thriving especially because of its location. I want to point out, that Ashley and Marilyn are exceptionally great teachers, with adequate difficulty level! However: booking as well as cancelling a membership is made hard without a real reason. Everything must be coordinated with the manager, however you can never reach the manager. Classes are often booked in advance, if you are on the waiting list and get the spot, often it's already too late for you to cancel and you have to pay the fee. However if you use your spot you sometimes will be in a class with 6 empty reformers, even if the class was fully booked the night before. My main point is the inconsistency of the levels. First of all no one, not even the teacher can tell you how to go to level 2. Secondly, sometimes a class 1,5 leaves you not even breaking out a sweat. In the last class I was in we were switching position every 10 seconds, the exercises weren't explained and as soon as you understood it the exercise was already switched. Just because you use every piece of equipment it does not equal a good workout class, which is just extremely disappointing for the price. However because there's no real alternative right now and there are a few very good teachers it's still a good part of your workout plan. I recommend however as soon as you have booked your membership to also make sure you already cancelled it so you don't have to pay for nothing.

I didn’t have any issues with the instructors—they were great—but I did have significant problems with the management. As a dancer, I have documented injuries that occasionally flare up. The studio has a strict 12-hour cancellation policy, charging $20 for a no-show or $15 for a late cancellation. I explained multiple times that if I aggravate an injury during an evening class, it can make attending an early morning class the next day difficult or impossible. Despite this, I had to send several emails and endure a few harsh responses from their manager before finally receiving a refund. No one should be treated that way—especially not for trying to responsibly manage a sports-related injury.

I cannot recommend this enough. I am not a particularly sporty person, but I moved to New Haven and decided to try out Pilates here. The environment is so supportive and I found a group of wonderful instructors who challenge you in different ways and focus on well-being more than on overstressing your body. I haven't had any problems with the administration yet, I just managed to freeze my membership for a few months that I won't be around. The app is really easy to use and although it is a bit hard to find a spot without a 2-week advance, it also makes the classes feel intimate and more or less personalized. It is more pricey than other fitness options in town but the workout is also more tailored and you get more attention on behalf of the instructor (I would recommend going for the unlimited, because it's the best value for money if you go 3 times per week).

Love this location, always clean and all the staff are super friendly. I’ve had memberships at other locations but New Haven’s has been my favorite experience. The staff are very communicative and have made such a difference in making my experience as great as it is. Highly recommend this location!

Club Pilates NH - I would highly recommend to anyone in the area, even those who have never tried! This was where I took my first pilates class and have loved every class I've taken (100+). I invested in an unlimited membership (different packages available), and continued throughout my pregnancy. All the instructors were absolutely amazing to help me through my pregnancy. The different class types are great to spread through the month. Keeps things interesting and challenging.

I’ve tried so many Pilates studios in the past but always left feeling confused—until I took a class with Marilyn at Club Pilates. She is incredibly patient, funny, and truly instructive, making sure everyone understands the movements and gets the most out of their workout. Thanks to her, I’m now a loyal Club Pilates member. Highly recommend!

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this business right before Christmas. While I understand that my bill was past due, I was shocked by the dismissive and callous response I received when I explained that my grandmother was hospitalized and I was dealing with a family emergency to my bill being past due. Instead of demonstrating any empathy or understanding, the representative stated they had to “do what is best for the business (Nicole),” which felt cold and unprofessional.
I have been a loyal member since day one of this studio, and this interaction has completely soured my experience. I had previously agreed to upgrade my membership but reached out to cancel and request a freeze due to my emergency. I was informed—only after the fact—that advance notice was required, leaving me with no flexibility or resolution. When I proposed paying my standard membership rate instead of the upgrade fee, I was told that adjustments weren’t possible and I would have to wait for the manager’s approval in the next year. With the lack of customer service, I elected to cancel my account.
This lack of customer service and unwillingness to accommodate someone facing a genuine crisis is unacceptable. While Marilyn, Nina, and Cheryl are amazing trainers who make the experience worthwhile, I am not willing to continue dealing with such rude and unempathetic management. If you’re looking for a business that values its customers and treats them with compassion, I suggest looking elsewhere.

I’m just completing my year of membership at Club Pilates New Haven, and have taken over 350 classes. I love reformer Pilates, it’s such a great supplement to other workouts and my core has improved immensely. CP NHV is such a great community to belong to, they are friendly and outgoing. All instructors are good, but Sherry the lead instructor is AMAZING, she keeps our classes challenging and interesting. Love Liza too ❤️

I did the intro class this weekend and I was very surprised at how great it was! I have a shoulder injury that makes it difficult to do most workouts. This was low stress, and very effective. The team at Club Pilates was extremely knowledgeable and the place is beautiful. I will return for certain!

I waited for this studio to open and I will say that it was worth the wait. Every instructor is different, yet I feel challenged by each style in a different way. I appreciate that the class sizes are small enough to receive personalized attention. I've taken all classes that are offered and I always leave feeling like I’ve gotten my money’s worth. The best part is the progress that we (teachers and I) see in my core strength.

DISAPPOINTED!!!!!…I tried to cancel my membership and was told I could not because I needed to give them 30 days notice…NONE of the managers or anyone EVER said they needed 30 days notice when I had my trial class and sign up…they only said that you could not cancel before 3 months…I CALLED this locations for OVER a week and a half…left a VOICEMAIL and no one ever picked up the phone or ever called me back…when I finally got a hold of someone (Kayla) there they said that I needed to talk to a manager to cancel and no manager would be there for 4 days after and I said No I need to cancel now and that I’ve been trying to cancel for a while…she told me a manager would call me the next day…Marilyn called me back and told me I could not cancel even though NO ONE WAS PICKING UP THE PHONE…then she proceeded to text me to let me know they were going to still charge me!!!!! it really made me see they only care about the money…they are quick to charge you cancellation fees and late fees…even though I had an unlimited class membership !! so unprofessional of her to not give me a call back but also for them trying to Armstrong you into keeping a membership I could not currently use…SHAMEFUL!!

I joined a few weeks ago and I can honestly say this was the best decision! I started with the unlimited plan although they offer more affordable options with less classes. The 8-class option is a 3-month requirement however, which they explain during your FREE intro session.
All the instructors and staff have been great, very attentive, friendly, supportive and I love how small the class is, which helps the instructor pay attention to everyone and give corrections! I’d say starting out, it is a bit more difficult to get into a class right away but it is very easy to get off the waitlist and you can book far in advance. Since I have unlimited, I book all my classes ahead of time and if I decide not to go, I cancel my booking the night before. They’ve also given options to switch to a different class time the day of if there’s availability with no cancellation fee.
All in all I’d recommend and I have to a few friends already! I also do CrossFit but this has been a game changer for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The problem is that they try to take as much of your money as possible. The instructors are great (especially Sherry and Carlee) and made me want to stay. But there are so many obstacles to something as simple as changing your plan.
I began with 8-classes without being aware that it would be a 3-month plan (you have to pay a $100 cancellation fee if you cancel before 3 months). However, I was fine with it and during my 2nd month, I called in to ask for a downgrade from 8-classes to 4-classes for my last month. It is now the third month, and they charged me for 8-classes. I texted with Selene (GM) to understand how I can change to 4-classes for the month, and in the end, I had to stick with 8-classes.
I expressed frustration during our exchange, and Selene simply did not care, only asking if I had emailed about my request. It was only after texting with Selene that I decided to cancel my membership. If only I can find the right email address to cancel because apparently the email address on their website is not the correct one.
Again, there is nothing wrong with the instructors, as they are all great. It is management and policy that makes CP a horrible place to do pilates.
I have friends who have asked me if they should join, and I'll make sure to let them know not to.

Terrible policies DO NOT give them any of your money. You can not get in on any of the classes because they don’t punish the unlimited members when they don’t come. Plus they hid a minium 3 month subscription policy from me. This business is going down in the long run for sure with such terrible management.

Club Pilates is what I've been searching for all my life! & Exactly what my body needed!
Having had 5 kids in my 20's & 30's really took it's toll on my back & core muscles. I've struggled for years with pain in my back as well as searching for a gym/studio that would Know exactly how to target & strengthen my weaker muscles that have affected my daily activities & enjoyment of living a full life! No denying or hesitation I've FOUND Myy place! --Finally!
Doable pricing for membership, incredibly knowledgeable instructors which correct my form when I need it so I don't hurt myself, chill ambience, super extra clean equipment, flooring & bathroom! Management is always very kind & genuinely helpful to answer any questions I have! Nina, Kristin & Sherry are the best! Those are the ones I've met so far. They are a perfect blend of mother sister auntie that guide you along your journey to a stronger, balanced & firm new body. I love attending their classes. They each have their own style which I completely & fully appreciate! As does my body! Been a member since they opened in New Haven. Going on 2 1/2 months now. I love love this place. I definitely recommend trying out their intro class because once you do- you'll see why it's so easy to love!

Each star represents the best parts of this location: Instructor Sherry, Instructor Carlee, and front desk Marilyn—they each do a great job!
However, the price, policies, and workout here are not worth it IMO. $230+ for an unlimited membership where you need to book class or join waitlist WEEKS in advance to make it onto the schedule, charging customers $10-20 for dropping a class less than 12 hours before (when there are easily 5+ people on the waitlist to get into the class!), and Club Pilates programming requirements are the main things that made me decide to end my membership after 2 months (among other personal reasons!)
I don't fault Sherry or Carlee for the workout complaint because this is Club Pilates dictated programming—I really wish there were level 2 classes and I wish there could be more variability in the sequencing of class. The CP method here left me a bit bored especially if I was trying to go to class 4+ times a week.
I love pilates and would happily follow Sherry and Carlee to another location that isn't CP branded. :)

I joined before the opening and I wasn't sure what to expect since I've never done it before. Well 2 months later and I am hooked! I love this form of exercise, you feel very supported while knowing that you're working so many muscles. The teachers are all very knowledgeable and the staff is so helpful and kind. I even upgraded to unlimited because the 8 class a month was not enough. It is worth the money! I highly highly recommend!

Club Pilates is my go to workout! It’s an investment but it’s 100% worth it when you stay committed. I have consistently felt stronger each time I’ve come back. Sherry and Carly coach my favorite classes but there’s tons of times that work with my schedule. I’ve never taken a class that I’ve left disappointed by and have never felt ashamed to speak up in the small class size for modifications or questions to fit my needs. I’m so happy to have a Pilates studio in New Haven- I’m getting married next year and my goal is to tone up before then. Im already thrilled with the results I’m seeing and their staff is so supportive in cheering me on. I’ve even come with my mother in law and fiancé- they both really enjoyed it! It takes some getting used to but I highly recommend to anyone!

Club Pilates of New Haven is my new happy place! The instructors are fabulous!! I have worked mainly with Sherry and Nina, who give explicit instructions and answer any questions I have. Selene, the manager, is a sweetheart and is always happy to help! Every employee welcomes me like I am an old friend! I would name them all by name, but I fear leaving someone out or misspelling someone's name, lol. I always make that mistake with our children. I honestly can’t say enough nice things about the studio! And their app is crazy easy. I love it. You can book any class you want, and you can always put yourself on the waitlist, which often decreases quickly. I’ve been number seven on the waitlist and have gotten into the class. Many people just book classes to get on the schedule and then cancel when they realize they can’t make it. Club Pilates of New Haven is a fantastic studio, and I highly recommend it!!

This is a beautiful studio with very good instructors who have years of experience teaching. The classes are always fresh and different and they give proper corrections. The studio is inviting and immaculate and the front door staff is always welcoming. I am not sure why the bad reviews. I have been taking pilates for almost 25 years (10 of those years private with a very high level instructor) and I am very impressed.
I will agree there is a problem with booking but the studio has only been open for 1 1/2 months I think people should give them time to work out the kinks. I read what another reviewer wrote about being charged for late cancelations, no shows and buying a pair of socks in the store. Its because of the late cancellations and no shows that other people can not book a class. Charging for that is customary. Im also not sure if she expected a free pair of socks from the retail section but thats not usually how it works.
Another reviewer wrote that it was a bad workout and I cant see how that could possibly be if she is familiar with how pilates works but to me it just sounds like sour grapes. I find it really sad when someone will slander someones business or reputation simply because they did not get their way.
I would recommend a class here to anyone who loves pilates or wants to add a different type of workout to their routine.
I am very happy that we have this new studio. Tamara

Don’t bother coming here unless you enjoy being scammed. First of all the classes are sub-par.
Next, it’s impossible to book classes due to long wait lists, so you have to book weeks in advance.
They will charge you wherever and whenever you can - $200 for a membership, $10 if you cancel the night before, $15 for no show. And god forbid you forget the stupid socks? $20 charged to your account for socks. $200 turns into a $300 membership in just under 2 weeks. I told them I wanted to sign up as a trial just for a month (and was very clear about that when signing up), and the receptionist told me I could cancel after a month. Ohhhh turns out when I go to cancel, it actually costs $100 to cancel before 3 months. SCAMMERS. Don’t bother wasting your money here

Instructors are very hands on. You get enough form correction and personal attention to feel that this is worth the money.
There’s a 10% student discount too which is great. I’d recommend this to anyone who is a beginner and is working on posture and/or core strength.
Only qualm I have is with the demand to classes ratio, the classes get booked out too quickly and you have to plan very far in advance. Usually I end up getting off the waitlist for classes but it’s not guaranteed which is hard to plan around. Hopefully this improves as the studio becomes more established.

Wish I could give 0 stars. First off, it is very difficult to book classes at this location as the wait lists are very long— requiring to book out weeks in advance which makes planning difficult. Secondly, it’s just not a good workout, and higher level classes aren’t available or easy to book. Finally, it is under poor management. I was charged twice without authorization, one for postponing the start of my membership and cancelling. Neither time was I told I would be charged, and the manager refused to reverse the cancellation fee. Please don’t waste your time or money here!! You won’t get a good workout or have fun
