Honestly, I arrived for my first class with low expectations. This wasn’t my first go at group fitness, and while I love the structured classes and accountability, I never felt completely at ease at former gyms.
Immediately I was impressed by the amount of time dedicated to actually warming up for the class. Seth’s priority of taking the time to make sure everyone’s form is perfect to prevent injuries over only cheering on the people who have it down is amazing. He’s worked with me between sets and even after class to help me retrain my muscle memory for specific movements where I’m struggling.
There’s also zero shame in modifications during classes. Form and safety are always the priority. I honestly cannot recommend MADabolic Stamford enough.

Forever athlete here and 34 year old dad and can't recommend madabolic enough. A buddy turned me onto it, and it's by far the most comprehensive workout program I've done. Noticed I said program, not class.
If you're looking to build better strength, better endurance, and better habits then Madabolic is for you. This isn't HIIT class. It's a full athletic program that touches on all major fitness pillars so you can go 4x+ / week and actually progress as an athlete vs just burn calories. This comes with legit coaches who encourage and form correct.
Closest thing I can compare it too is professional sports training meets a wayyyy safer crossfit meets the ease & accessibility of your neighborhood workout class.

Last year I came into MAD with honestly only experience in lifting heavy weight. I felt bulky and felt as though I wasn’t really seeing any results. Despite being a college student (meaning I did not much time to allocate towards gym), I loved the fact that the gym classes were not 2 hrs plus long. I learned lots of functional & plyometric movements which I used outside of gym class in the gym when I just simply didn’t have time. If you are looking to learn, and are teachable, MAD is such an asset. In the last year, I’ve been able to see the scale go down 62 pounds.
I haven’t been this weight in years… and I even kinda have abs now. I also want to specifically shout out Seth and Casey; their desire to help bring out the best in people is extremely evident… and it definitely makes me want to go harder. Definitely recommend to college students.

Best group class experience in the area! Workouts are fun, never same, never dull, fast paced. Separate shout out for the space, the room is big, comfortably fits 20+ people and there is good ventilation, which is a deal breaker for me. At first I was nervous the routine would be too hard for me, but coaches are really supportive and allow me to use comfortable weights (which are minimal 😅). I feel fantastic leaving the class every time!!

As a personal trainer, I always find it challenging to find gyms that challenge me and live up to my expectations. Madabolic does not disappoint! I’ve been going to Madabolic for a few months now and I have to say I love it! It’s can be very challenging. It takes me out of my comfort zone, which is what I want. Every class is different so you never know what exercises you’re going to do, which I love. All the trainers are very experienced, professional , nice and have great energy. They are also very helpful and are happy to guide you in helping you correct your form and technique or even give you modifications when needed. I highly recommend giving Madabolic a shot!

Beyond being a great workout, MADabolic is a great community. The people who go are supportive and friendly, and each class becomes it's own place to see familiar faces on the same journey as you. The trainers are also excellent, and are always there to correct movements so you get the most out of your time. Best of all, it's intense but fast. All in, you're really doing 30 - 35 minutes of work after a warm up, and getting a pretty full body workout.

After checking out half a dozen gyms in the area, I’m so glad to have landed at Madabolic. I love that the 50 minute work outs include a full warm up, cardio and strength. I attended 4 classes a week for 4 months at the Stamford location, so I believe I participated in a very full MADabolic experience, which I will detail below:
The 2 most important pieces of a class-based boutique gym are: the people and the program.
Seth and Kayla (the owners) are present every class as teachers or even participants, as well as the other trainers on staff. I think it says a lot when the people that work there actually use their own product every single day.
All of the staff/owners are energetic, friendly, and kind, and do a great job at making everyone feel welcome regardless of experience or skill level. They are attentive and offer corrections and tips during each of the 5 movements per class, and will take the time to show you how to improve even if that means staying after class or showing you multiple times. You can absolutely feel each instructors passion as they lead each class and help get you through some of the toughest workouts I have ever done...
Which leads me to part two, the program.
The first class I tried was an open/free public event and boy was that humbling. I have done traditional weightlifting for many, many, years prior and I thought this would be no sweat but I was proven wrong about 10min into the class. I had chosen the most difficult lane and soon learned why that was a mistake.
That is the fun part about this program though, when I signed up for 4x a week classes, I started in the middle lane, and a month later felt comfortable being in the 2nd hardest/mixed lane, to then being in the most difficult lane for the last month or so.
This essentially proves that if you consistently go and give it your all, you will progress.
Admittedly, the movements are hard and awkward at first and I was sore pretty much after every single class for weeks, but I had lost that feeling doing my own routine and I felt a sense of excitement that I was doing something that was challenging me this much! There really is no better feeling than pushing yourself for almost an hour straight and finally hearing the bell go off to let you know it is over. Personally, I like starting at the back of the room and ending on the punching bag to really let out the rest of your energy at the end in an explosive yet focused way that only bag work can give you.
My advice to anyone signing up is to not cheat yourself out of this experience, commit to the 4x a week because you absolutely get out what you put in with this program.
Also the other class participants are always friendly and there is a sense of comradery at going through classes together, day after day , week after week. You will make friends and you will bond with people if you so choose!
To recap, the people are great, the staff are accommodating, helpful and attentive, and the program absolutely kicks your butt but can be the most rewarding part of your week if you let it.

I recently discovered MAD after my ILKB gym closed down, and I've been loving it!
The vibe is super chill and motivating, and the gym itself is sleek, modern, and clean. The trainers are awesome—attentive to everyone's form regardless of fitness level. The boutique class sizes allow for more personalized attention compared to larger group studios.
Classes are always challenging, even when the floor layout looks “easy” at first glance, it never is the case. The cadence of the class is strategic, which helps keeps things engaging. There are a variety of weight options (tiers), ensuring you can progress at your own pace.
The trainers are also so supportive in your journey. I was having a hard time deciding if I was ready for the next tier, and they were super encouraging to help me feel comfortable to do it!

I’ve been going to MAD since 2022 and is by far the best fitness studio I’ve been at since moving to Stamford in 2013!
What I enjoy some much about the MAD programming is that it’s functional strength training that helped me build superior core strength that has complemented and improved the performance in my golf game.
The coach’s are extremely knowledgeable and care about form rather than how fast you can move or weight you can lift. MAD is sustainable training with un match results.

This became a place that was at one time inclusive and a place that I felt accepted and seen. It was fun, exciting, and challenging. When I hit milestones, they would be noted and celebrated. This was by the prior owners. Once the new owners came in, the lack of diversity in both people and body type was apparent in what and who they chose to post when it came to milestones or similar events. Usual posts, only include "fit" looking people and majority are white or white passing. As someone who was a founding member, I came to feel unwelcome by lack of inclusivity and action. Classes felt more of a chore over time.

I have been going to MAD for about 3 months and I cannot say enough good things about them! First the people are amazing, the coaches make you feel like you’re in a one on one training session despite it being a class of people. Not only have I seen results physically, but my form has improved and my overall strength. I started off barely capable of the first lane and now I am starting to feel ready to take on the 3rd. Awesome variety of the latest resistance and cardio equipment, immaculate facility, and coaches that make you feel like you’re getting 1:1 training.
Workouts are done circuit style and are a different combination of exercises, reps, sets, and timing. There are 3 buckets - 100% exertion, building exertion, and steady exertion. No two workouts are ever the same!
The new owners are so welcoming and the members are a great group of people of all ages and fitness levels. There are 5 different levels of difficulty you can choose from - something for beginners to the very experienced - so don’t be intimidated to try it out.

This gym is FANTASTIC! I LOVE the atmosphere, the coaches, the classes. The space is beautiful - the light coming through the windows is JUST enough to make you FEEL like you are outside. I've sampled a lot of different workout programs throughout years: Soulcycle, Barry's, orange theory, pure barre, row house, and grit bxng, to name a few. I would give the highest recommendation to the MADabolic programming. I used to be very cardio focused and have seen first hand the benefits of shifting more towards an interval based strength program. I have a challenging work schedule and MADabolic Stamford has a nice offering of class times for me to choose from. The classes are not cramped or overbooked. The studio is meticulously clean, and the Owner, Laura, is wonderful. She is an instructor too, so she's heavily involved in the day to day--extremely approachable and motivating.
For anyone intimidated by the "Game Day" concept of it all, don't let that discourage you. I personally have not done one yet and get plenty out of the regularly scheduled programming, but the opportunity is certainly there for those that want log those particular fitness metrics.

I LOVE this gym. I moved back to Stamford a couple of years ago from the city and have been struggling to find a gym that provides exceptional service and I can say that I've finally found the best.
The owner Laura and the other fitness trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and the equipment is excellent. The group classes are really well organized. Each class is different and brings a different layer/level to the workout, so you always have something new to challenge yourself.
I used to find it a chore to go workout, but now I look forward to my evening classes.

Having attended MADabolic in a different location for years, I had high expectations for MADabolic Stamford, and they hit it out of the park. The staff is super helpful, the membership is a good mix of people who are all positive and the studio is extremely clean. Each of the trainers has a different personality, but they are all serious about making sure you move properly to avoid injury and get stronger/better at each exercise. As the membership grows, I anticipate they will offer more class times as well, but I am pleased with the current offerings. Parking is very easy right outside the studio and the facility is close to I-95 for those who need to get there outside Stamford. 10/10 would recommend!!

I've never been a gym guy so it's nice everything is planned out and set up. We train here about 4-5 times a week and find the positive trainers, awesome music and participants create a perfect workout environment. I have not done much weight training before, typically sticking to running & barre workouts, however I am happy that I have. Over the last few months, my body has added more strength & it feels good. The studio is very nice, new, & spacious as well.

Im obsessed with this gym! I tried 4-5 gyms before I settled on Madabolic and after my first class there, I knew it was where I wanted to be. The trainers are phenomenal, friendly and make the classes/gym atmosphere so much fun. The workouts are hard and continually change so you never feel like you’re doing the same thing. Highly, highly recommend this gym!

What I like most about MAD is that they are passionate about what they do and how they teach their classes. The trainers make sure to walk you through each exercise and continue to challenge you, but they make sure that you are doing them in the correct form. This is critical when you are trying to improve your strength, mobility, and endurance. In the past I have hurt myself at other gyms because I rushing to fall in line with the next exercise. At MADabolic it’s not a race, but more about the journey.

If you're looking for a workout without redundancy, here's the place. I've been attending Madabolic for months now and I can say that the admission is worth the price. There's an element of surprise every day because you don't know what you are getting into. In addition, you get a full body workout based on their design to target so many different parts of the body during a single workout.

LOVE this studio, its programming and the staff! Trainers are exceptional, very well versed in body mechanics, nutrition and fitness. They will help coach you to perform at your best and will help adjust/perfect your form to avoid injury. It’s programming is effective for all - regardless of your fitness level. I lived in Yale&Towne lofts before they closed for construction across the parking lot. Our gym was a typical small apartment complex setup with nothing special. MAD was amazing! Clean, solid station setups with a good upbeat atmosphere without being over the top. Harbor point was a great spot, if you live in those buildings, this is the spot to gym daily.

I moved to Stamford this summer and was in search for the right gym for me. After trying three different gyms, and not being happy with the experiences, I stumbled on MADabolic. After a week of trial classes I quickly realized that this was the gym for me. It has the perfect combination of cardio and strength training and each day is different and exciting. The coaches are amazing and the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. So happy (and relieved) that I finally found the gym that I look forward to going to!
