I am a recent early retiree who wanted to do something to strengthen my core and tone up my muscles. I was hoping to drop 10 - 15 pounds as well. I am super pleased with the results over the last 12 weeks. My core is much stronger and I've lost a couple of inches around the waist line. I actually dropped close to 20 pounds while increasing muscle strength.
Marc has been excellent to work with! He is always encouraging and frequently asks to ensure you are doing ok during the workout. Although Marc would have come to my house, I always went to the gym in Trumbull. The equipment was great and the gym was never busy. It honestly felt like having your own personal gym.
I met with Marc twice a week over the 12-week period and one thing that I really enjoyed was how he varied the workouts. By using different equipment and doing different exercises, it kept the workouts fresh and never boring.
Marc also encouraged having a protein drink post workouts. He talked about the importance of good nutrition and he got me started using the BodySite app to monitor my calorie intake taking into consideration calories burned through exercise. The app is fantastic, easy to use, and has really helped me to manage how many calories I consume each day.
I feel that Marc has a realistic and reasonable approach with regard to food consumption. He referred to it as the 80/20 rule. If 80% of the time you are being very purposeful with what you eat and keeping under a target calorie threshold, you are going to see results. It's not realistic to think that you can follow such an approach 100% of the time, and if you try to do that it's likely that you will get discouraged and abandon the healthy eating habits altogether. His recommended approach has really worked for me.
I couldn't be more pleased with my experience and really enjoyed working with Marc over the last few months. I would highly recommend Marc's services to anyone looking to get into shape and build some muscle strength.

Have worked with Mark for 12 weeks wanting to get back into shape, especially before a full knee replacement. My expectations were totally exceeded! I haven't been to a gym in decades!! With that knowledge, I thought going three times a week was going to be the hardest part, overcoming resistance. But it's not like that with Marc. I actually like going! He's knowledgeable, experienced and takes your needs into consideration and applies the training to work with you not against you! If you're thinking about joining a gym and getting a personal trainer, this is your guy!! Even if you have to start out at home to build up your strength or mobility!! Marc pushes you strategically and without shame. I'm having a great experience and getting my life back. Be like Nike and just do it. 😁

I’ve been working with Marc for 2 1/2 years now and am extremely satisfied. He gives me that extra motivation I need on days where I’m not excited about working out. I have worked with Frank for the past 3 months. He has been very focused on helping me achieve my goals related to my recovery from complicated hip replacement surgery. My fitness has increased noticeably and I am stronger and able to lift heavier weights. Working with Personal Training Alliance is one of the best things I have done in decades for myself and indirectly for my family. Our partnership began on a Sunday afternoon when both Marc and Frank came to my home for the initial consultation. Their professional approach included a thorough understanding of my status, goals and expectations. They clearly explained their recommendations and how we could move forward together.
To put things in context I am a 74 year old male that has been complacent towards diet and exercise for most of my life. I came to realize that my complacency was no longer a viable lifestyle and I needed guidance with a sustainable plan that would address building strength and good nutritional habits.
For the past 5+ months Frank has been coming to my house 3 days a week to work with me in meeting those goals. I couldn’t be more pleased with the progress we have made. Frank is the perfect personal trainer. He is professional, respectful and very personable and that coupled with his expertise and knowledge has made my experience rewarding and enjoyable.
Frank knows how to motivate and challenge me. His first concern is my safety. He always makes sure I am executing my exercises properly and that I understand the purpose of each exercise. He also makes sure I keep up with proper nutrition.

I found Mark through a work friend who was thrilled with the results she had achieved with his program. I wanted to become healthier and lower my blood sugar with diet and exercise . Additionally I wanted to tone my overall body and become stronger and feel better. Marc worked with me to achieve my goals and I never felt better . My blood sugar dropped an entire point and I lost 20 lbs. He is knowledgeable , encouraging, punctual , and professional. I have had a very positive experience with Marc and the Personal Training Alliance. I have never used a Personal Trainer before and what was nice about this service was that Marc comes out to your home and customizes a program for his clients. I have a long medical background that originated with a spinal cord injury to my neck at the age of 21, and have been dealing with Neurological issues for the past 45 years, and have a great deal of experience with Physical Therapists, but not with Personal Trainers. Marc came out to my home and listened to my latest drama which includes a failed Lumbar Fusion Surgery that left me unable to walk at all, and there was no question in my mind that a lot of therapy and/or training would be in my immediate future. I was not getting the time I felt I needed immediately at a Physical Therapy location in the state that prides itself as being the leader. Marc promised to work with me for 3 days a week, and for an hour each day. He admitted that he did not have a strong Neurological background but thought that many of my issues had to do with strengthening my core and muscles that I still had some control over. And that is where we started, and in the past 4-5 months I have made significant gains in strength which I never thought possible at the age of 67. I was given exercises to do and a routine to practice, and the patient putting in the time and doing the repetitions is a key element in any recovery Marc improvised and created a spot where I could practice squats without needing a spotter. And recently I have been able to stand up with the help of an upright rollator and walk with that rollator through my home. As the saying goes, slow and steady wins the race. The changes and improvements have been slow, but they have been steady. The improvements keep on coming. I am grateful to Marc and the Personal Training Alliance for being patient and working with me to keep coming up with innovative ways of strength training for my unique situation.

Where should I begin? Frank has been the absolute best personal trainer I have ever worked with and I have been working with trainers for many years. Not only is he experienced and extremely knowledgeable in the field, but he is truly a great person and a pleasure to work with. He is thorough, reliable, motivating and great at what he does! I thank God for every new day and thank Marc for being able to get out of bed every morning! Finding Marc was truly life changing for me. I had been in a car accident which injured my back and neck and surgery was presented to me but I felt it should be the last option. I started physical therapy at the facility my doctor recommended. Eighteen months later I felt I had made very little progress. Yes, I returned to work but I was afraid to move the wrong way in fear I would increase my back pain. I had to stop and think about every move I made and plan how I was even going to get out of bed every morning. I was miserable and definitely not living life. I decided to take matters in my own hands and stopped physical therapy. Fortunately I found Marc and PTA. Hiring Marc has been the best decision I have ever made! Marc’s focused attention to my concerns and strengthening my core has transformed my life in less than six months. I am stronger than I was before the accident, more flexible and have a great deal more stability and stamina to move through my day. My husband is retired and I work from home. Mark came to the house and clearly explained his program to us. It’s a great program and we signed up right away. I have been working with Marc for just about a year. I had the gastric sleeve in 2018 and lost a lot of weight. Covid and life events had other plans for me and I gained quite a bit back. That’s when I found Marc! I see him 3 times a week. He is motivating and supportive. He has a real passion for helping his clients to achieve their goals. I am getting stronger with each workout. When we started, I was way off track and at a very low point with no end in site except poor health and possibly worse. Getting started was tough.. had a lot of false starts along the way. You got here and got me moving.. and working remembering what it was like to put in the effort to get somewhere. You gave me the tools and the road map to get there. You listened to me and pushed me just enough at the right times to make sure I got strong enough, built enough wind and endurance. All while making sure I didn’t get hurt or push myself too much where I stopped completely - and quit. I am a 56 year old male, morbidly obese (450Lbs) coming off a broken distal femur after a total of seven months in hospital and con home for rehab, I returned home in July very weak. I wanted to turn my life around but needed help. I excluded processed sugar and bread from my diet, eating fish and chicken. Something was missing. I needed a trainer. You see I live on the second floor of a two family home with seventeen stairs. I needed a trainer. I chose Mark from the internet. I chose correctly. We are starting our ninth week together in training, and yesterday, October 20th I climbed those 17 stairs . I am very proud of myself. Marks’ training has helped me not be a shut in anymore. My name is Marlange Dutton I started working with Marc Ouelette about four months ago, for 5 years on a wheelchair with inflamation of the spine finally done with treatment I have muscle dystrophy. I have been training with Mark for about 9 months and the experience has been so rewarding. I hadn't been able to work out at all for at least a year prior to finding Mark due to a balance issue. I could barely stand on one foot without falling over but with Marks help and knowledge my balance has improved tremendously. I now am able to do any kind of exercise program at home with modifications as needed depending on how I am feeling during a training session. I am doing weights, cardio, boxing and more. I have toned up considerably and am a lot stronger than I have ever been. I would highly recommend Mark as a personal trainer.

I worked with Marc for 5 months and had such a positive experience. I have been training with Marc now for 6 months. At 51 years of age I decided it was time for me to try and get back in shape before it was too late. I had joined gyms, tried to start walking, diets, etc. but couldn't keep myself going.
Since day one of working with Marc, his great attitude and motivation has helped me change my lifestyle to get myself back into shape. I have currently lost 25 lbs and over 9% body fat. My overall strength and stamina have increased dramatically, family and coworkers also see a huge positive difference in my attitude and demeanor.
Marc has a variety of workouts that he changes regularly which make each session seem new and fun. He started me slowly but the sessions have been increasingly more difficult (which I now enjoy!). He has never pushed me too far or made me feel uncomfortable trying to do too much.
Along with the great workouts, Marc provides a diet program online through the Personal Training Alliance, helping with meal suggestions, calorie counting and ways to help you eat better as a whole. I am a trained Chef, also a big guy. I can tell you that changing my diet was a huge worry for me. The recipes provided are not only very good but have also helped me see how I could change my favorite home recipes and cut my calories tremendously. I do not walk around starving all day. For instance, instead of our family favorite Meatballs made with Meatloaf mix (Pork, veal, beef), eggs, tons of parmesan cheese, bread crumbs..... I now make them with ground Turkey, egg whites, far less cheese. My very picky kids, without knowing they are made with turkey, like the "new" recipe better (as do my wife and I).
Marc cannot take your weight off himself, you will get out what you put in. If you are ready to make that change in your life, I would without hesitation tell you to give Marc a try. He can and will help you get back in shape.

Working with Marc has been a great experience. He knows when to push you and what you are capable of considering your form and safety at all times. He is very accommodating and flexible with training hours. Marc is always available to talk to during the week if you have questions and does different workouts often so your body doesn't get used to the same thing! When looking for a personal trainer, I needed someone who would be able to come to my home. I am a busy mother and finding the time for myself has always been hard. Finding someone who can help me train from my home was the first thing, the second was finding someone that made working out fun and not a task and that is what Marc does. I just finished my 12th training session with Marc Ouellette from Personal Training Alliance and I cannot believe the results my body has seen. With two small children and working full time, I am constantly on the go and I never made the time to work out. There is always an excuse. With Personal Training Alliance, all I have to do is get my gear on and Marc comes to ME! Marc brings his own equipment and positive attitude, along with a wealth of exercise knowledge specifically tailored to get your body where you want it to be! Marc pushes me to my limit and also knows when I need to slow down, ensuring that there will never be any injuries. I have specific needs while working out and am unable to do quite a few exercises... Marc has listen to those needs and designed a training program that has resulted in a loss of 3% body fat in one month!!!!
