Unfortunately, updating this one, 2025. The new gym equipment that came in this year is sub-par, in my view. Difficult to adjust, some needed adjustments don’t exist, and some don’t seem to target the correct muscle groups. As a result, I’ve been unmotivated to go in. I hope they can get some updated equipment in soon or fix what they have. Before you join, just try the equipment and be sure it’s going to work for you. Loved the old stuff!

I use public showers all over the country and these are the smallest ones ive ever been in. You cant get out of the water. Its a 2.5' square. So as soon as you put body wash on a rag its gone. I had to turn the water off to wash up. Other than that its a decent place.

The gym is amazing. The machines are brand new and the atmosphere is chill. My only complaint is the men’s bathroom feels and smells unsanitary. It smells like urine and the showers have a strange odor as if there was black mold. As much as I prefer this planet fitness than the one in East Haven because that one is worse. Other than that I would’ve given it a higher rating.

Planet fitness is great. There's plenty of equipment, so there's no waiting. One complaint is the stair machines are tall and blocks the view of the TV's. The other is 4 TV's in CNN and no conservative news. The tv labeled Fox News has sports on it. I did ask the desk about it. Still not corrected.

I'd leave zero stars if I could. On October 12th 2024 I spoke to several people over the course of an hour and sent emails back and forth. I come to find out in March 2025 that they've STILL been charging me the whole time. Planet fitness is evil, work out at home. I will be taking you guys to court and filing a formal complaint with BBB

I was a member of this particular location 10+ years ago and there has been ZERO updates. Same equipment, same tanning beds, same cardio equipment, and the locker rooms are the same from a renovation back 12-15 years ago. Okay so that’s the bad, here comes the good: it’s clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, you can still get in a pretty good workout with what’s available.

I commented to your front desk staff at least five months ago about how many TV’s were not working. They told me they had an order in. That was five months ago and it still hasn’t been fixed. There are at least five TVs that are out. When I asked today I was told that an order had been put in for new TVs and they don’t know what’s happening. It seems to me that your corporate office doesn’t want to pay. I am a very unhappy with the customer because this is unacceptable. It’s a simple fix and planet fitness obviously doesn’t want to spend the money.
At my old gym each machine had its own TV and if one went out it was quickly fixed. So in my opinion your customer service is awful and I am extremely disappointed. I’ve heard that a lot of other customers have complained as well. There is no excuse for this it’s a simple fix !!!

I love how clean the gym is. Brian is a very hard worker and makes sure the place is spotless. The front desk staff (Finn, Bennett, etc) are nice and friendly. I love the variety of cardio equipment and the fact that I never have to wait to use it because there are so many machines. The hydromassage table is a plus!

It's a standard Planet Fitness, fairly clean. My only real complaint is the music they play. From my observation the majority of people, at when I'm there are over fifty, yet they play the type of music that's played if I were 20 and going to a club. Headphones work, but when I'm changing and showering, it's a bit annoying.

Gym equipment is outdated and dirty. Black card lounge has tanning beds that may not even be legal to operate. In addition to that, a guy who wouldn't identify himself calls to say he's the owner, and he'll have my truck towed because it's slightly too large to fit into one parking space??! In contact with corporate now, most ridiculous situation I've ever experienced.

This is my favorite Planet Fitness location I've been to. I travel a lot for work, and have probably been to about 15 or 20 locations in the northeast, and out of all them, this one has the friendliest employees and the best selection of equipment. I have to say, not every Planet Fitness I've been to has the more laid back, judgement-free atmosphere the brand advertises, but this one does! Love it!

They have a policy where all gym members are required to wear a facial covering. Over several weeks, each time I have gone there to workout, I've seen 5-9 people not wearing a mask properly exposing their nose or mouth or both. I do not feel safe going there.

Probably one of the most popular gyms in the area. The gym was recently sold - and Mike the manager will be there for about 2 more years. I just hope the new management keeps it as clean and updated as Mike has done for years. The air circulation is good and you can always find a breeze while you work out.

(The Guilford branch is smaller, and less clean. The air circulation is fair at best.)
