Environment is good, Employees are kind, everything is mostly clean. Frequent shower user, and while clean most of the time, I do notice that there is no cleaning of them during the over night into the early AM times, which is when I usually go. However, there hasn't been a time where it's overly disgusting yet. I see the bathrooms are cleaned at least 2x a day (showers anyway) I just wish there was a quick check before the 5am some days. Price is great still for modern day economy, and after going to a few other PFs I have made this my home gym. It's not to appease and surpass everyone's expectations, but it's an obvious sign they are trying.

Planet Fitness in Enfield has good equipment and is reasonably well maintained, however it falls short in terms of cleanliness compared to other fitness facilities. The locker rooms are dated and usually are not as clean as they should be. Also the staff seem distant and not as outgoing as they could be. The location is OK.

I’ve been to many PF locations up and down the east coast, and while Enfield is one of the smallest, it’s one of my favorites. They have all the standard equipment plus some I don’t see at most other, larger locations (foam rollers, a hip thrust machine, prone leg curl, ankle cuffs for cable kickbacks…). The only thing they don’t have that I enjoy using is the red light machine. But the facility is always clean, including the bathrooms (I use the showers) and the blonde woman who works in the morning (I think her name is Kristen) is super friendly.

When I’m in northern CT I stay by the airport, and I’ll drive 17 minutes to the Enfield location even though the Windsor Locks PF is right down the street. I’m not sure what made Frankie so cranky lol 😜 (review before mine) because I’ve never had a bad experience here.

*I will say that there’s not a lot of floor space for mats but I always manage to find a corner and I go at peak morning hours

I wish I could give zero. I miss the old employees. There’s no genuine happy employees here anymore. The new manager is horrible! Obviously she is trying to increase sales because they are always trying to sell me a drink. Constant angry face on the manager. Not one employee is happy and obviously that’s because of management. Drive the extra mile and go to a different location. Showers are cold. Men’s bathrooms are disgusting. If I new where the old employees went I would Tell every member at this club.

I really like this gym. It’s clean, not too crowded, affordable, and the staff are nice. My only complaint is that there are only two Stair masters, which are my favorite for low-impact, high-intensity cardio since I have a bad knee. They’re often both taken. I’d love to see more added if possible.

I recently visited Planet Fitness in Enfield, CT, using a one-day pass and arrived at 6 AM. The gym was fairly busy with a good mix of men and women of all ages.

Upon checking in, the front desk staff was polite but did not offer a tour or ask if I had any questions—just a quick check-in and a “have a good workout.” I ended up exploring the gym on my own.

Pros:
✔️ Clean facility with a lot of machines and equipment
✔️ Affordable membership fees
✔️ Great hours to accommodate various schedules
✔️ Plenty of parking & convenient location

Cons (for my personal preferences):
❌ Lack of functional fitness equipment – I prefer using Bosu balls, boxes for jumps, ropes, bands, and bodyweight exercises, which were limited or unavailable.
❌ Minimal guidance or instruction – If you’re new to fitness, this may not be the best environment for learning proper form or building an effective routine, as there isn’t much staff engagement beyond check-in.

Final thoughts: If you like a no-frills gym experience where you can get in, use machines, and get out without breaking the bank, this could be a great fit. However, if you’re looking for more functional training options or hands-on guidance, you may want to explore other options.

Overall, it’s a solid choice for those who prefer a simple, independent gym routine.

New machines are okay, some old ones were better. My issue is with the very LOUD "music/noise/racket".
Sometimes it's nice and quiet, sometimes it's hearing loss loud depending on who is behind the desk. I doubt anyone wants to listen to that stuff and so very loud. Sept. 6, 2024.

Pros: staff are friendly and helpful. The facility is usually clean and well stocked with paper towels and cleaning solution.
Cons: this location is way too small for the amount of people that use it. They charge the same monthly fee as other PF locations that are far more updated with better amenities. The bathroom always smells like sewage. The new equipment is nice but there’s less machines now which makes it feel even more over crowded. Bathrooms are very small and no changing stalls. No water bottle refill station. No PF 360 or 30 min circuit rooms.

The worker Laurie is the most rude inconsiderate worker out of all the workers. She holds a big bias towards the older crowd allowing them to do anything including bending the rules but as soon as someone younger asks her a question like myself she has the mean and rude attitude that makes the gym feel like an unwelcoming place. I wish she was like some of the other workers who are nice to everyone and patient whenever I have a question.

It's a small gym and nice people work there , all I really need is dumbells and I'm satisfied, but they also have a good treadmill room with matts for abs . So not bad for a local gym. And the gym is really clean, to the point where i see them constantly wiping dust off machines, which is a plus.

I just use the treadmills in the side room. Of the 5 tv sets on the wall to watch while using the treadmill, only two in the room have video displaying that matches the audio that comes thru any of the treadmills. I tried all the treadmills. One of the treadmills has not worked at all for several weeks.

I changed banks recently. Once I received my new debit card I drove to this gym and changed the account I'd be charged from to the new card.

1st month I was still charged from the old account. I went back to resolve the issue in person. I was told the old card was deleted from the system and the problem should be fixed now. Then the membership was charged from the correct account.

2nd month I was billed twice the amount on my new account called customer service and was told it was a late fee.

The billing software is garbage

I stopped using the membership since 2021 and was still paying for it. When I asked if I could get some of that back, they said no and still charged me the next payment even though I canceled the membership. The employees there also have no clue what they're doing unfortunately.

This gym just feels like they slapped a pf logo on the shoddy enfield family fitness. I'm about to just start driving more to the Springfield location because it's small, the bathroom reeks all the time, and with the 5 pm resolutions crowd it feels like the capacity is over fire marshal limits.

Came here with my friend on a friend pass and Loree (the receptionist ) wanted to take my picture , and when I declined she caught an attitude and said “well it is in our policy , and when I just decided to leave then she was said she will ask her manager it’s fine” when I came back she was watching me and my friend everywhere I go . She came back to where I was and told me I couldn’t work out due to me having crocs on. I had shoes in the car but I decided not to go back in due to me having the feeling of being followed and watched like I’m a child. This is a very active gym ;you have people check in and can see how active it is. It is the only gym really around besides a few other small ones in the area. Your company has the money to expand this building/ area , upgrade and add equipment, but you don't. Overall, this gym doesn't have a lot to offer and is very small/ cramped for how busy it gets. I prefer your chicopee location, but that is now a 30-minute drive since I moved. I'm hoping you guys either expand this building or add another one equal to or greater than the chicopee location.

Called a few months back to cancel my membership, Girl over the phone said "sure I can cancel your membership." She took my membership number and told me I was all set. I log into my account and saw three past due payments. I call again only to be told that cancellation has to be done in person and that I would be responsible for all payments including the one for the next cycle.

I have not found that email. Caused my acct balance to be overdrawn with fees. Attitude of reception employee answering phone was beyond condescending. When I went back after the gym was closed to COVID-19 I told the very nice lady behind the desk that this was my first time back and she explained everything about when you should wear your mask the equipment etc!
