The men’s locker rooms / bathrooms have been inaccessible for a few months now and the men need to use the bathroom in trailers outside. It’s cold outside at 5am and my husband is not a fan of leaving the building to use the bathroom. Also, one morning water was overflowing in the bathroom and it was disgusting. Card members have the option to use other pf locations during construction but unfortunately the other gyms are far away.. construction or management needs to step in and remediate the bathroom issue ASAP.

You pay for membership and sometimes they make money from the fact you don’t even go there and still get charged but cant they train their employees to be better with that money? The locker room stinks like sweat, and it's a very busy location for such a small venue. Staff is friendly, but a deep cleaning and improved ventilation in the bathroom could give the facility a 4 star rating. Replacing some cardio machines with seated fixed machines could give this place 5 stars for sure and would reduce the amount of time to wait to train strength.

Constantly have to wait in lines to use machines and even the mats to stretch on. People have lives outside of work, some of us can’t spend 3+ hours here. There never used to be kids and teenagers but now there are, and they treat the gym like it’s social hangout. It’s extremely frustrating knowing I have to take 2x longer to work out because half that time is spent waiting to use a machine for 5 minutes. This gym used to be great but has gone downhill in the last 2 years.

This is the first Planet Fitness I’ve seen with great lighting—the black floors don’t swallow it up, which makes a big difference. The space is small, and the equipment is packed in tightly, which can feel a bit cramped. But surprisingly, it works.

It has the vibe of an old-school gym where you’re shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers, yet it builds real camaraderie. People wave, laugh, and actually engage—with little to no phone-scrolling. It’s a rare kind of gym culture that still keeps the focus on fitness.

The staff is also excellent—knowledgeable and clearly invested in the space. This place could honestly be a case study in building community in a gym setting.

Been to many PF’s. Many in CT, a couple in PA. This is easily the worst one I’ve ever been to. Crowded all the time, machines broken, locker room reeks and it’s the smallest one I’ve been to. Yeah it has some machines I haven’t seen at other PF’s and I do appreciate the spray bottles in the stalls (which is why it has 2 stars instead of 1). It seems like everything that’s normally in a PF was shoved in a shed and 75% of Norwich was also put in there. If it wasn’t the cheapest and most convenient option I had, I would cancel and never turn back.

The men’s locker room smells very bad every time I’ve gone in. The men’s locker room floors are dirty. I think this gym needs to wipe down the equipment such as the cable equipment and lat pull down bars. Every time I’m done using them my hands smell like a mixture of cocoa butter and this distinctive smell this gym has inside there. The yoga mats are always filthy and they’re torn apart missing pieces as well. I’ve seen employees wipe down the structure of equipment. How about wiping down the parts of the equipment that everyone else touches. Then again I don’t see it all. Just my observation.

Kids smoking weed in the locker room past few days. I get drug tested, can't be around it, don't want to be around it. Finally said something today to staff because they are now regulars and come everyday, smoke in locker room and then just sit around on the equipment, using it sparingly. Ita a hang out to them, to smoke and try their luck on women here. Told them my situation and what was going on in bathroom and I can't risk being around it. Staff replies "there's nothing we can do, sorry". I reply with "that's allowed? Theres children in there right now... (10 or younger). Well I can't risk coming here anymore, so today's my last day". Staff "alright, have a good one". Ive been coming here everyday for 2 months. I referred 7 people in that time. I bring good people and good vibes and good business. I'll be canceling my membership and filing a formal complaint with corporate. If I fail a drug test, I will be speaking to my lawyer. I don't write reviews. I don't get upset. This was important to me.

This PL is fine. Make sure you pay attention to how busy it is in your app. Also, be weary of the tanning booth, they are extra strong and you will get burned if not careful. The people at the front desk aren’t trained like those at the tanning salons, of if they are, they don't care and provide no direction.

Also, if you sign up in the app and not in person, your membership goes all the way to enfield- making it difficult to cancel.

This particular branch dies not allow any payment method besides sharing your bank account information. If you are not comfortable sharing direct access into your bank account, you cannot sign up for a membership. Other sites do allow a pre-paid membership, so this is a choice. There is an inaccurate excuse of convenience to the customer, but what would truly be convenient is allowing customers to pay for their membership in a way that is protected and comfortable. If there is no flexibility, day passes should be available for purchase for all customers.

I signed up in September for the $20 black card. They’ve consistently charged me $42 a month since then. I rarely used it so I went in and attempted to cancel my membership in person in December. The young man gave me a physical paperwork to sign and assured me it was cancelled. I was charged again in January. I have since gone in to cancel again, called, and sent an email. They’ve refused to refund any of the fraudulent charges they’ve made. I spoke with the manager and she told me I never cancelled and that they don’t do physical paperwork and it’s only digital. I finally received cancellation paperwork dated 2/22/2024 but they charged me again on 2/23/24. And today (2/29/24) they attempted to charge me again. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in the lack of integrity of this company. Unless you want to pay them for the rest of your life, don’t sign up.

Planet Fitness has failed to cancel a membership after a phone, 2 in person, and email requests have been made. Then they proceed to still pull the funds out of the bank account. Some of the worst customer service and its been ongoing for months. No one wants a leave a name for their service because they don't want to take responsibility for their lack of concern or failure to act on behalf of a customer. Absolute rubbish. Buy some free weights and watch a YouTube video for the same results. Missing money from a bank account on 3 separate occasions after canceling is unacceptable. The men’s locker room is absolute trash, smells like urine, dirty showers, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months… They also can’t keep more than 2 of the 5 stair climbers operational for any length of time. I've really been enjoying my time spent here. I don't know why I read the reviews, but I did. Some were a bit off putting and deterred me from joining sooner. Which is just silly. I split my time bet NY and CT so Planet Fitness Black Card was the obvious choice. From my first visit, to all my daily visits, everyone has been so kind. The machines I want are always available and I find the gym to be clean. I rarely have to wait for a massage chair and if I do, I just get a few more minutes of working out in. I think the bathrooms get used a lot so its hard for someone to be in there to clean up after each person, I think the condition of the bathrooms have more to say about some of the guests that visit than it does the staff.

I walked in needing to use the bathroom and knowing I had a balance on my account "I asked if can I use the bathroom 1st and then I'll come back here and handle this" They said no. I signed up for the black card membership 20$ a month and a yearly fee. Multiple times I tried to cancel but it was before my one year I was locked into and they wouldn't let me do it over the phone even though I moved!!

I travel a lot for work and I have been to many different planet fitness locations. I did not have a good experience at this location. I was harassed by an employee who was working out. She told me that we are supposed to wipe down the machines after use. I said yes I know. She then told me that she was working out beside me and she didn’t see me wipe down the machine. I simply replied that I did. She then told me she was an employee and she was going to the front desk to tell them. I said do as u like but I wiped down the machine and it did not matter to me if she saw me or not. I put my air pods back in and continued my workout.
