Awesome older climbing gym with a super creative yet cozy setup. Thereβs a high-ropes obstacle course (which I hope is still active), a lounge, and plenty of gear to purchase for indoor and outdoor climbs. Rachel at the front desk was very kind and went above and beyond helping me and my boyfriend learn about gear and belay climbing (we climb mostly in New Haven which offers bouldering, solely). Itβs just a great lived-in space with a vibe that seems to be getting harder to find in other places, I really appreciated it and the staff.

The family was doing in New England vacation where we visited all of the states. Connecticut was our second New England state we visited. Well technically, it was the first state we entered, but we checked out Rhode Island first. We had a whole list of surprises for the kids, and this was our first surprise for them in Connecticut. Both kids really like rock climbing, and we figured that we would let them check out a place where they could go wild with that. My son pretty much did every single wall, but my daughter only did a little bit and did not want to do anymore. She said that this year she had on were hurting her feet. We were not going toforce her to do something. She did not want to do. Overall, the staff was very friendly and helpful and it was a definite highlight of our vacation. Would highly recommend for something a little out of the ordinary and fun to do.

My favorite spot for climbing! My kids and I have been here half a dozen times and love it. Their auto belay system is great for my big frame. People are friendly and thereβs a lot of variety.

I spoke with Jaime who is clearly very triggered by anyone contradicting her. This person has no business in customer service. She refused to tell me when an owner or manager would be on shift so if one of you could call me back that would be great.
Also I called through Google so as a Marketing Director I highly recommend the owner pull that call and listen to it. This will not be the first customer you lose through her. I was literally about to reactivate, but Iβm going to a different gym after this experience. I would listen to the call and hear how quickly she gets out of control and gaslighting the customer to feel like theyβre an issue. At one point I was basically whispering and just telling her sheβs clearly triggered and Iβd like to speak to someone else. Instead she just hung up. This person is not emotionally mature enough to handle her job on her own. Typically through google calls you can pull a recording, and I would highly recommend reviewing before you lose more customers.

I was introduced to rock climbing back in November. Iβve been rocking climbing every 2 weeks since. I really enjoy indoor rock climbing.
Rock spot offers equipment rental there, or you can purchase your own.
Rock spot is a welcoming space.
I took a personal class with Benjamin and he was extremely helpful. Would recommend a class with him.

Great gym, fun boulder problems and top rope climbs. Not as shiny/new/big as some other CT gyms, but my preferred gym nonetheless and it will probably be yours too! The staff is great - Andy gave my partner and I some refreshers on belaying before we did our belay tests. He was super helpful and friendly while making sure we did everything safely and correctly.

We hosted a child's birthday party there this past weekend. Ages ranged from ~5 to 13. Everyone had a great time. The allotted climbing time was plenty for everyone to climb multiple times and we had some time at the end to eat and have cake. They provided small goody bags which we supplemented as well. Pizza was ordered for delivery and was good (they recommended a location to order from). Price was reasonable for the amount of climbing. We will be back to climb again! The kids loved the experience. Next time the adults climb too!

Today was such a fun day! A room full of energy, great vibes, challenges and a great workout! Phew!
Prime Climb is located in Wallingford right off the highway . Very easy to get to, follow the signs all the way to the back and you will find it!
When you go in , you get checked in, there are cubbies and hangers. You can bring in your water if you wish . The rental will include harness and shoes. Make sure you wear gym
Gear and dress comfortably!
The employees will go
Through an orientation step by step making sure you know how to take off the buckle from the
Harness and how to fasten it. Safety tips, how to come down from the top when You have climbed up. Also the importance of the number and colors. I didnβt know that the smaller the numbers it was somewhat easier than the others. They were all challenging but some more than others.
There was bouldering, top rope and lead climbing, and auto belay system.
This is a great place if you want to conquer fear of heights in any way or to work
On upper body strength. I did great going up . It was like a puzzle, hands would get tired, shake but the most scary part for me was going down. Why?! We are tied and secured!?
Matt was such a wonderful teacher for the time we spent there . Showing us step by step and cheering us on. Then we met Tracy whose a member there . Tracy was soo kind and nice also to give us tips and work with us! Tracy didnβt let me give up when I felt tired. She reminded me it was ok to rest. She pushed me through and I made it to the top!! Wonderful people and a fun environment ! Canβt wait to go back!

Bought a Groupon for my son and his friend to climb for the first time at a gym. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable . They explained how the gear works and which walls were beginners or advance. It looked so much fun my wife actually bought her own pass and tried it out! Prime Climb is easily the best climbing gym in the state for the climbing experience itself. Thanks to the several climb setters, whom consist of patrons and employees, the climbs are all unique and challenging as they each express a style unique to every setter. The variety of individuals is like having a team of climbing teachers. Each climb you learn to climb clean not only leaves you feeling satisfied but you may often find the climb has taught you new techniques which you discovered along the way.

I'm a beginner/intermediate climber and have been going here since I moved to CT about 5 months ago. I love it. The staff is friendly and educated, other climbers have all been friendly and helpful, the facility is well maintained, and there is good variation in routes / features.
The entrance was really tricky to find the first time and almost kept me from going there. If you're coming in from Quinnipiac Street, you need to drive around the building at the back-left end of the quad. From there is a parking lot with two buildings - Prime Climb and Mountain Fun.
