I started working out at Strong on Center just over a year ago. I couldn't recommend it enough. Taking Kristen and Gary's classes have helped me control my back pain, made me stronger than I've ever felt, and have made me feel like a welcomed part of the community. I love how I have the flexibility to attend whatever class or days works with my schedule. I also love how I feel like I'm exercising in nature and not stuck in some dark gym. Kristin is inspiring and pushes me to be my best. I am eternally grateful to both of them for renewing my confidence in myself and my body.

My whole family loves Strong on Center. We have been taking classes for 2 1/2 years and both Gary and Kristen are exceptional.
I was a rower for many years and after some back issues needed a change. Barre with Kristen provides the good work out that I was used to, but helps to strengthen me in a more well rounded way. Kristen also creates a non judgmental and non competitive atmosphere. I can honestly say that I have never felt more passionately about any other exercise facility than I do about Strong on Center.
It truly is a hidden gem.

I could not live without SOC! Classes are excellent and varied. Never the same workout routine. I love to know what I am doing and they always care to explain what goes on with your body as well as modify exercises for all levels and for injuries. I don’t know what you’re waiting for…go! I wish I could take a class everyday. 🤩

Strong On Center is the real deal. I have been a client for a couple of months now with a mix of personal training, strength, and barre classes, and I already see and feel significant progress in my strength mobility, endurance, tone and overall wellbeing. I love the holistic mind/body/spirit energy I feel when I’m there. Kristen and Gary make an awesome team. First and foremost, they really know their stuff. They keep the sessions interesting and motivational and cater each workout to my specific needs on any given day. I have some pretty lofty goals as far as my fitness is concerned and I’m super confident that the Strong On Center team can get me there. If you wanna get fit, stay fit, or just figure out if fitness is your thing then I highly recommend Strong on Center as the place to do so.

Strong on will get you in amazing shape. I've been going for 2 + yrs and I am in the best shape I have ever been. Kristen and Gary are extremely knowledgeable and pay attention to every detail to make the facility exceptional. They are caring and supportive of everyone's needs and goals. There are always new exercises added so it is never the same. Lots of classes and times to pick from. The other members are all nice too. :)

Strong On Center is a hidden gem in the Fairfield/Easton area! If you're looking to start (or restart) your fitness journey, THIS is the place to be. The group classes are fantastic and varied so you never get bored, and designed for all levels, making it easy to stay motivated. Kristen and Gary are both incredible trainers who meet you where you are and help each person push forward.
But this isn’t just a gym—it’s a welcoming, supportive fitness community where everyone truly feels included. The positive energy here keeps me coming back, and for the first time, I’ve actually stuck to a program and I see the progress! Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!

I attend Strong on Center's barre class with Kristin and it is fabulous. I have always been active but as I have aged, I felt the need to work on muscle groups not only to be strong but to be more flexible. The barre class has delivered exactly that... My body has never felt better. Kristen explains how to do the "moves" correctly and safely and modifies them for those with achy areas. She is the BEST!!
I had been dealing with a bit of tennis elbow that wasn't going away. The availability of different weights allowed me to heal this injury while continuing my workout. Excellent workout with excellent instruction. Strong on Center is the best!!!

Strong on Center, run by the amazing Kristen McGovern and indomitable Gary Smith, is a life-enhancing experience where these two professionals with deep knowledge of health and the body focus members on strength, mobility, flexibility, posture, longevity and more.
Classes are nimbly tailored in real time to all levels of fitness and experience, while private sessions are available for targeted work on specific issues or to accomplish key fitness or wellness goals.
In my case, Kristen solved my knee pain through a combination of unique exercises and stretches in private classes followed by focused massage by Gary. I was also able to set and reach my weight and body fat goals working with Kristen in private sessions.
Privates are a great way for serious athletes to work on a specific skill or area of strength, no matter what their discipline is.
Besides walking out of Strong on Center feeling energetic and healthy, I learn something each time from Kristen and Gary about longevity, diet, fitness and mindset that enhances my day and overall well being. For beginners or experts, I highly recommend SOC and the richness of what they have to offer.

Strong on Center has become my sanctuary. Kristen and Gary are so knowledgeable and they offer so many class options. The strength classes have the perfect mix of weight training and cardio and barre and yoga classes instructed by Kristen are better than any I have done at an expensive specialty gym or fancy yoga studio. I feel so lucky to have found them and to be able to tap into their expertise on a regular basis.They care so much about each person they train and personalize every movement. I highly recommend Strong on Center! When I moved to Easton 2 years ago I was searching for a yoga studio/gym that was close (so I would show up) and encouraging. Kristen and Gary have created a fun environment set in nature (in and outdoors) with a great mix of yoga, strength training, barre and more. They truly accept everyone to come as you are and pursue a healthy
lifestyle. Classes before work, morning, end of day. I started with buying a pack of classes online and eventually graduated to a monthly membership. The Glofox app makes it easy to register for classes. A really special place!

I was recommended Strong on Center years back by a friend. I had injured my back at a previous gym and taken a lot of time off so I was a little hesitant to throw myself back into working out, but I definitely hit the jackpot in where I landed! SOC is an amazingly innovative indoor-outdoor gym. The vibes are great and the atmosphere is unpretentious. No matter where you are in your present fitness journey, Kristen & Gary will meet you there. They offer a range of classes that focus on building strength and improving balance. Kristen leads amazing yoga and barre classes and Gary’s strength classes are always hard work but fun- the tunes are cranking and so is the wood stove! I have been coming to SOC for over a year and have since brought several friends and my husband. We all LOVE the work outs and continue to build strength, endurance & balance. The Barre class is always challenging and Kristen does a great job working on form to target specific muscles and safely execute the routines. I’ve never felt better!!

Cannot recommend highly enough. Whether you work out consistently, are going back to working out after a break, or have never done a class-- Kristen and Gary will give you the personalized attention and instruction to raise both your confidence and your fitness level. I have been practicing yoga with Kristen for years now, and she is absolutely the best! She knows how to challenge you just enough and I have definitely gotten stronger through her classes. Space is beautiful, especially in the summer when you can do yoga outdoors, and to top it all off, Kristen and Gary are just amazing people. 5 stars aren’t even enough! SOC is one of my favorite places to be!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT ANY GYM/YOGA CLASS/TRAINING! Their Yoga sessions are the great for the average yogi or even the advance enthusiast.
