TAP Strength has been such a huge help for me not only in my longer term recovery but also more recently in a new injury all the while still helping to allow me to keep on participating in a club sport.
EJ and the team are unlike any other group of experts around and their gym provides such a welcoming space. They are true professionals and experts on all things pertaining to the physical body and have helped me adapt and implement their model of effortless efforting -- it makes sense eventually -- I promise! I’ve been in pain for months. In a few minutes, Colleen pinpointed exactly where my pain was coming from and loosened up some very tight muscles. She also provided an easy to follow mobility plan to help me stay loose and avoid the same injury in the future.

I can’t say enough good things about TAP! They meet you where you are and help you get to wherever you want to go - whether it be maintenance or a marathon. They inspire me to think, innovate, train hard and improve my whole body stregnth and balance. I am greatful for access to their wisdom as my aging self encounters creaks and strains. By going to TAP I know I am avoiding injury now and in the future. Thanks TAP!

Both my husband (age 47) and I (age 41) have been working out with the team at TAP for over two years, and it has truly been a life-changer for both of us. For years, my husband suffered from consistent aches and pains in his back and legs that often prevented him from doing things he loved such as playing tennis and golf and routinely made sitting at his desk throughout work-days very uncomfortable. As a result of his sessions at TAP, his aches and pains have subsided, he’s back to playing sports and doing things he loves. He feels much better and he’ll be the first to tell you that his body hasn’t felt this strong since he was in his 30’s! And when any minor injuries or issues do pop up, the TAP team adjusts his regimen to zero in on the issue. Lauren, Michael and EJ are all extraordinarily knowledgeable and professional. They obviously care deeply about their craft and the health and well-being of their clients.

An amazing experience! Zack properly challenged me every session and took the best care of me. My shoulders are in the best condition post op, thanks to the Train Away Pain crew, who taught me how I could strengthen my shoulders while preventing injuries. Just in case you are looking for a physical therapist, Train Away Pain took me from barely walking to finishing the NYC marathon all in less than 4 weeks (I finished the race in under four hours). I have been to many for physical therapy, their approach is unique, effective and involved. I feel to call what they do physical therapy is a disservice, but to say they are magicians you would not believe it. They are the best kept secret in Westport/Fairfield County/CT... perhaps the world.
