I've been attending Corepower for almost 2 years and have always had a great experience but unfortunately the CityCenter location is just unacceptable. The studios smell AWFUL constantly (and not just during/after class - I get that sweat/body odor can produce smells but this was the room itself and not coming from any individual) and are not properly aired out or cleaned. If it's a ventilation issue in the building, class sizes need to be reduced (we were packed in there). The number of cancellations by instructors is also astounding - for a 4:30pm class today, it was silent-cancelled online and at 4-4:15pm became a 4:45pm class with a different instructor (idk how Corepower does this without emailing us of the change) and the studio was locked until 4:30, so a whole group of us just stood in the lobby to be let in for 30 minutes with no idea what was happening. I absolutely love Corepower and the CityCenter instructors but the studio cleanliness is a major deterrent.

This studio is so pretty, super spacious with big windows! I was in town for a week and it’s honestly one of the nicest cpy studios I’ve visited. The class was amazing and instructor, Thet San was just incredible .. her energy made whole experience even better!

I’ve been attending CorePower Yoga at City Center for months now, and it’s been such a positive experience. The community that shows up to these classes makes it incredibly easy to stay motivated—everyone is encouraging, open, and welcoming. It truly feels like a space where people support one another.

The trainers are exceptional. They keep the routines fresh and engaging while breaking down the moves to ensure everyone understands. They also go above and beyond by checking our positions during class to help prevent injury, which I deeply appreciate. Some even add thoughtful touches, like fanning us with scented towels at the end of class, making the experience feel extra special.

If you’re looking for a holistic approach to health, this is absolutely the place to be. However, one thing I’ve noticed is a lack of racial diversity in the classes. It often feels like it caters to a single target demographic, and I’m not sure if this is due to marketing strategies or a lack of community outreach. I hope this is something they work on in the future, as a more inclusive environment would make this amazing space even better.

Overall, I highly recommend CorePower Yoga at City Center for anyone looking to improve their health in a supportive, uplifting community.

The best! The staff here is super friendly, helpful, and top-notch. I’ve visited Corepower Yoga locations around the country and feel like the instructors here are in a league of their own!

The studio is big and has lots of natural light which is a big plus, as well as a nice variety of class offerings. It’s centrally located downtown and a 5 minute walk to/from the Gallery Place/Chinatown metro which makes it super convenient to get to!

This was my first time at a corepower in DC. The staff was so nice, it was a great location and cool studio. However, it might have been one of the worst yoga classes I have taken. The instructor was very kind but was not a great teacher. Would go back but maybe skip the sculpt class.

I did a drop in class while visiting DC from NJ. It was much needed. This class was not for the weak at heart.

I would definitely visit whenever back in DC.

I am a "black tag" member from Southern California. I came to DC on a biz trip and came to the City Center CPY while was in DC. I took a few C2 classes and enjoyed everything -- loved the studio look and feel. Loved the rooms. The locker room was clean and tidy. Thank you for making City Center Studio my home studio while I was away! :)

I had a fantastic experience! I come from Germany and we just don't have this kind of cool, dynamic, fun classes there, it was awesome! I felt so refreshed, energized and motivated after Sculpt at CityCenterDC. It was clean and studios on the second floor overlooking the street were light and spacious. I LOVED the playlist too, great music!

Always a great experience at this location. Most recently I tried their no heat yoga sculp. By the end you could have fooled me with the no-heat claim, I had worked up a sweat just fine!

First off, Mandy is amazing! I have been seriously weight training for several years and CPY's YS Yoga Sculpt challenges me every single time. I always leave that experience feeling very centered, highly motivated, and like I can conquer anything!

The sound system was busted but the class led by Elizabeth Harris was still amazing! I like how there are designated spots per mat now. We’re no longer on top of each other during class.

I travel to DC regularly for work and always practice at CityCenter when I’m in town. The location is perfect, and I’m always welcomed and made to feel like I’m a “regular”. The classes at CityCenter are always well attended and have an inspiring energy. The studio and other facilities are also always clean and well maintained. CorePower is a pretty physical and strenuous style of yoga. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat more than I do at CPY!!

I love corepower workouts but they lock the doors at class time so if you’re running even a minute behind you’re out of luck. Ive missed 2 classes so far. I don’t think i can go to a gym that inflexible. just doesn’t work for me.

CAME TO GET HEALTHIER. LEFT DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS.
My biggest issue with CorePower was the studio temperature, which was 95+ degrees F. It is meant to be a heated workout and a lot of people like that. My conclusion: This workout was not for me. But when I had health concerns during class, the instructors' response (or lack thereof) was alarming.

I tried out CorePower for a month. When I told instructors I felt faint, I was met with eye rolls or was ignored completely on 4 occasions. Finally during one class, the heat was so oppressive that I ran out and vomited. The instructor's response was, "*Shrug* Maybe you need to hydrate more." I drink tons of water, so that was not the issue. I am 115 lbs, 5'4'', and a runner. I should not be vomiting during a workout. That was my last time at CorePower. This workout is not safe for everyone, and the staff clearly does not care.

Great studio, right above a flywheel. There is a 7 day free trial for first timers, easy to sign up. Everyone is super friendly. Definitely bring water and towel, recommend doing any class but the sculpt class if it's your first time. Rooms are heated quite a bit. Don't borrow the mat, not good quality and little black crumbs come off when you apply any friction.

Great studio! I’ve been coming to CorePower for over two years now and love the different classes they offer. This studio is great, however they canceled class about 10 minutes before it started and I walked over 30 minutes to get here.

Why i went: I'm on vacation and want to stay working out. I usually train 3-4Xweek back at home. I received the free week of yoga for new corepower folk so I've been going to check out classes and different studios.

Location: since I'm a visitor to the city, I took the metro, and walked. its close to the chinatown metro station. the yoga spot is above fly wheel, the indoor spinning studio. The building it is in and around is very nice with some high end fun shops. shops I can't afford to shop in but is nice to see so. I felt it was a safe area.

I went for the 10am Yoga sculpt class. was my first time. was fun and challenging to do hot yoga flow to start, with blasting music, and 1/2 switch to basically weight training and some cardio and finished off with abs. I love having a workout where I feel the burn in my muscles and feel like I worked it. this was a good place to get that feeling. I do enjoy the class, but I think personally, I'd rather do just hot yoga all the way, or weight training, in not such a warm environment. hahahaha but all is well and was different and fun to combine both worlds. Its good to try something new. The teachers were nice and welcoming and helped demonstrate all the moves.

Studio: Clean. has nice stuff to shop for. Plenty of weights and mats for rent. ($2). Towels $2. and water $2. I think they even had a bin of hair ties you can take at the door which is nice. this is the second corepower studio I've been too around town and I do like the studios. Its clean and feels. At this facility, they provided locks if you forgot one to lock your locker. Their showers were clean and soaps were filled. I wish the showers had a cold water setting because it was either warm and up to hot...and after today, I wanted freezing water. hahahha Other studios sometimes have plastic bags so you can put your sweaty clothes in it, this one did not, or I didn't see it. Theres a hair dryer, mouthwash for you. theres no hair on the floor that I visibly noticed.

And there IS wifi!! Thank god! They have wifi hotspot. very nice! thank you so much for having that available! especially for us travelers. Crucial.

Good, clean facility, really nice staff. Convenient location for convention center attendees. Hot Power Fusion class wasn’t too hot - temp gauge was up but heater is competing with the cold from outside hitting the wall of windows.

My New Yoga CrusH!!! His class will make you sweat- like no other. He takes his practice to another level. Its evident his teachings were derived from a different form of practice. I get a workout and a form of relaxation. So blessed to be a part of his practice. Namaste ()9
