As a newbie the group classes at Reformation make it feel less intimidating to start doing strength training and conditioning. Nora made me feel welcome in my first class by explaining everything in detail, coaching form, and helping me understand what to expect from the class schedule. Thank you Nora!!

Small studio with small classes offering reformer Pilates. Instructors mix up the workouts so they’re always engaging. Convenient location and a community vibe.

IMO, this is the best gym in DC. Love the energy of trainers and attendees here. The trainers are inspiring, professional, and attentive to each one’s posture and growth. They also have a supportive community where you feel welcomed even when you come here for the first time. I have been following their virtual classes but can’t wait to go back and take pilates classes when the summer ends.

Love Reformation Fitness. The conditioning classes really kick your butt but in a good way. And the instructors are always nice while kicking your butt. I highly recommend them!

I love all of the instructors doing group reformer classes. Everyone is talented in their own way and I always get an amazing workout. It's a bit of a distance from where I live and work, and parking (if I drive) can be stressful, but I keep going back b/c it's worth it. I feel comfortable and the instructors know my name which is really nice.

This is an amazing place to workout. Each instructor I've had class from knows how to meet each, individual student where they are for whatever exercise is being cued through.

Rachel D is a natural, and I'd rush back to her class any day! The workout was tough (in a good way), but she brought a joviality and enthusiasm to her coaching style that helped me push through to the end. Would recommend her class to anyone.

Love the studio vibe, humble but refined atmosphere, group reformer class size, professionalism, and quality/precision of instruction. RF is unparalleled for group reformer classes. Not cheap, but reasonably priced for the area. Instructors and students occasionally engage in light, sparse conversation, which is fine. I've been to a few other studios where the instructors and students converse constantly, which i find distracting, isolating, and unprofessional. Not RF though :)

My favorite gym in the district. Love the variety of classes & instructors. For the Metcon/HIIT classes, I love that each week is a different focus (power, strength, or endurance) and each day is either lower, upper, or full body. It's also easy to scale the workouts down or up based on your ability. I've always felt super welcome & comfortable here.

Amazing gym. Great #RefFitFam community. Other patrons are friendly, supportive and encouraging. Instructors are motivating without yelling at you, always helping you dig deeper and ask more of yourself. Programming is well structured and varied. This is not the type of gym to go to if you want to admire yourself in the mirror or find a date. Each class will ask 100% of you and you'll leave happy, exhausted and dripping with sweat.

Nightmare of a class. For reference, I'm 26 years old, 5'8", and 148 pounds. This review is for the MetCon class with Brittney. This was my first HIIT class in 5 months, but I am no stranger to them. I was having a tremendously hard time keeping up with the regulars, and the instructor made no attempt to modify my workout to be commensurate to my current skill level. I have been to upwards of 30 such HIIT classes in my life, and I have never seen an instructor not capable of making online adjustments to the class member's workout to suit their needs. This instructor was either incapable, or unwilling, to do so. The former means she shouldn't be employed, and the latter means she's negligent and elitist. It was very clear to her that I was struggling. At several points in the workout I felt dizzy and lightheaded, and I had to leave 30 minutes in because I felt I was on the verge of passing out. The instructor, Brittney, didn't utter a word when I apologized and said I couldn't do more. Instead, she laughed and let me leave without so much as an acknowledgement.

Have told all my workout friends to not step foot in this place, as it was a humiliating waste of money. There are an abundance of such gyms in D.C., go to one where your body and person are respected.

Wanted to love the class/studio but had a mediocre experience. Few modifications provided during abs class made for a precarious situation for first timers. Teacher did not seem to notice anyone but the regulars. Room was packed. The sequence went too quickly. Given the class type, may have benefited from less moves or more repetition so we could work on form rather than struggle to get set up.

Positives: clean studio with water dispenser and lockers. Variety of classes offered. Good AC and cool temperature in classroom

The only thing stopping me from giving you guys a 10/10 is lack of showers. great workouts, helpful and friendly staff, good variety. Also I would highly recommend you install a hallway-corner mirror of sorts on the 200m running track, a car almost hit our group rounding the corner during MetCon, it's basically a blind turn.

Can't say I was impressed with the customer service or the classes. The instructors had a lot of enthusiasm but as someone passing through via classpass and tried twice, I wouldn't go back. Really cool space though!

I love reformation fitness! It's close to home so super convenient and has quickly become my go-to workout place - so much so that I purchase monthly packages so that I can go all the time and without the restriction of classpass. Everyone is super friendly, the instructors are professional and incredibility skilled at their craft. They do a fantastic job of pushing us outside of our comfort zones but always in a safe and controlled way. And I value that the instructors whose classes I got to regularly have made the effort to learn my name. I like that there is a nice mix of class options that I can choose from including: Spinning, TRX Fusion, MetCon, Bootcamps and Reformer Pilates, as well as classes offered at 7.30pm on a weekday evening. The Saturday Sweat sessions are my favorite and always set my weekend up right. All in all a very convenient place to workout, clean and modern equipment, friendly atmosphere and fantastic fitness instruction all in one.

3 stars for the ease in finding the right class. Granted, it was a rainy day and the studio was completely crowded. However, I went to where I thought I was supposed to go, and it was the pilates studio. I then went to the right studio and found out I had to go upstairs. Not the end of the world.

4 stars for the workout. I left incredibly sweaty, but the workout was only okay. I think our instructor was a sub, which typically means they aren't fully prepared. There was a lot of "let me look at my phone for what is next" going on.

Overall, I would go back and check it out again. Everyone leaving the building was soaked in sweat (a positive in my mind) and it was clear that the group of people who regularly go here love it.
