I’ve been working out with Alex P. And doing classes at Sweat DC West End for about 8 months. I am lifting more than I ever have and my body is looking much more toned. I am also feeling better mentally in addition to physically. The whole team at Sweat is supportive and has helped me continue to reach my fitness goals.

SWEAT West End has a great community of supportive and friendly coaches and clients. The class programming is intentional, safe, and challenging! They host monthly socials to meet other members of the community which are low-pressure and fun! Could not recommend them more for top-tier strength training in the city and a fabulous community and coaches.

The gym is clean and modern, and the vibe is welcoming to newcomers and regulars alike. The coach in my Strength Total C class, Emma, was supportive and energetic. The approach is similar to F45 with less rapid pacing, so you can focus on doing the moves correctly and lifting heavier and/or more customized to your goals. Happy to see a gym dedicated to strength training that's locally owned.

I have been so happy with my experience at Sweat DC. It is a heavy weights workout that is hard to find elsewhere (a lot of other studios do more cardio weights, but this uses the rack and encourages lifting to your max). It's not at all intimidating for a weights newbie and the technique is demonstrated, is on screens and the instructor is also watching you carefully, so you don't need to fear injury. Classes are pacy, motivational and the music is great! You can even see the moves on Instagram before the class so you are prepared. Highly recommend!

I love the classes so much I cancelled my class pass subscription and got a membership here! If you like lifting but don’t know exactly what to do, the coaches do a great job explaining the exercises and helping out. They’re also awesome at giving modifications when you need them.

Sweat DC - West End is an amazing gym and an even better community to be a part of. The workout program is geared toward monthly goals and the coaches and staff are incredibly welcoming and eager to help you achieve your goals. A lifting-based workout that helps me connect with the other people in class turns out to be exactly what I was looking for and I didn’t even know it. Cannot recommend them enough and there is a place for everyone here, no matter what your current fitness level is and where you’re trying to go.

Corbin is simply incredible. He's able to coach people of varying skill levels all at the same time, with tailored advice/training/nudging/motivation for each individual. Plus, the group dynamic is motivating in itself with how Corbin structures the class. You feel accomplished at the end, you always learn something (whether it's a new movement or improving your form), and you feel the right combination of tired/energized. It's clear Corbin is well educated in exercise science and has lots of experiencing coaching athletes of all types.
I'll be following Corbin wherever he's coaching.

I used to do CrossFit 6 days a week and now I do 4 days at Sweat DC and one CrossFit class a week. Sweat DC is transformative. Coach Jen, Laura, Corbin are some of the best coaches and personalities in the business. Women need to lift but may not have the proper plan and progression. I have increased my lifts, endurance, and strength every week. Been a member since Nov 2024. I absolutely love it. They offer a free week! Why not try it out.

Sweat DC is exactly what I was looking for in a studio/workout. Solid strength training with enough cardio type exercises to get my heart rate up. It kicks my butt every time and I feel very accomplished when I leave. You’ll get different types of exercises each day/week/month, so it’s not boring or repetitive - and it forces you to workout areas of your body you don’t often workout. The studio is filled with individuals from all backgrounds and all different sizes. So, whether you’re an athlete/working out forever or just getting started in your fitness journey, there’s a comfortable spot for you here. All instructors and studio-goers are very pleasant and supportive. The instructors do an excellent job teaching form, including walking around during workouts to educate us on how to improve our form. Love it here. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love coming here because Coach Corbin truly make this place great! He is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about coaching. He always makes the atmosphere feel supportive, positive, and motivating. Coach Starlight and Jen are also amazing. They all truly care about your progress and form. Tiffany is super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained.

LOVE this place! I was so nervous to try strength training for the first time especially in a group setting but Starlight was an incredible instructor and always went around checking people's forms and being so encouraging. I'll definitely be back!

Yes I did sweat —
But I overcame my fear of lifting the bar! It’s strength and endurance and I walked out feeling my first class. But it was a good mix of things I could do easily, things that were a challenge and the fully new. I’ll be back!
