I started working with Matt Barber (Aging Strong Personal Training) in 2020 at the age of 70. Three years later I am stronger, more agile, fit and confident in my ability to remain active as I move through life. Matt did not see limits… only possibilities. He changed my life! His knowledge of the aging process and human mechanics allowed him to basically “age me backwards”! I am committed to physical fitness and Matt, my personal trainer. My advice to everyone is that it is never too late to Get Fit!

Matt and I have been working together for the past year. I am a 75 year old who has both hips replaced and survived a major brain surgery. I started going to Aging Strong & working with Matt to lose weight. Matt helped me improve my balance, worked on stretching exercises to ease aches & pains. He also helped with pre op & post op knee exercises. It is definitely worth the time!

I have been seeing Matt Barber @ Aging Strong Personal Training going on 4 years now. I will be 80 in Jan. I struggled with balance and had this picture of me heading towards a wheelchair. I no longer have that picture in my mind, my balance has improved immensely, and I look forward to every visit with Matt and it's always fun.

I am 78 years old and since I retired I have gone through several gyms on my own and five trainers. My sixth, Matt, is the magical one. I have been going to Matt for about one year and I have lost 16 pounds, am bench pressing 50 lbs, 40 lb. squats, improving my balance and bone density. Matt Barber has done an outstanding job training our entire family. My husband's prior injuries in his shoulder, spine and neck have been greatly reduced w/ strength training that began a decade ago. My daughters (now 17 & 13) and I began to train w/Matt a few years ago.
Our postures and lack of muscle tone have greatly improved, as well as our overall mentality. (I also have 2 prior auto injuries that resulted in multiple spinal disc injuries that don't bother me anymore!) Matt is a great communicator, listener, & is patient & kind. We highly recommend him for any age &/w those w/ health and injury concerns that want steady and safe improvement.

Matt has been my trainer for 7+ years now. He probably knows my body better than I do. He will tell me to focus on activating a certain muscle and has my mind thinking to squeeze or pull, adding the mental aspect to working out. He always knows the best next set and is an excellent communicator. I was 305 lbs. when we started and now have been at 187 lbs. for a couple years. YOU have to be ready to commit to your improved health. If you'll do that, there's probably no better person to guide you in your journey.

Matt Barber, owner of Aging Strong Personal Traininng, has been helping me for several months. I am 82 and my goals are to improve strengh and stability. He is excellent to increase the level of the exercises and to introduce new ones when I am able to take on more acrivities. He understands my chronic back pain and we are working to strengthen my lower back and reduce my sciatica pain. I highly recommend him as a personal trainer.
