We have been a Twisters family for 5 years and absolutely love it! My kids have always felt like Twisters was their second home. While all the coaches are amazing, I have to give a special shout-out to a few.

Coach Alyssa is simply a unicorn. The absolute BEST. She treats every kid as if they are the only kid in the world. She's so enthusiastic, genuinely warm and kind. You can tell she LOVES her job; it shows in everything she does - in each bear hug greeting to my kids (literally every time), hugs and updates she gives the parents, the way she checks in when she can tell there's something "off" with a kiddo or family member, how she looks out for the kids, and SO much more. She doesn't even coach my kids anymore because they've advanced beyond the levels she teaches but she still treats them as if they're her own. She's truly one-of-a-kind and I'm SO grateful she is a role model for my kids. We LOVE her.

Coach Kelley has watched my girls grow for years. She loves each kid and makes a connection with the whole family. We also love how she instills boundaries and responsibilities in our kids, all while doing it in a loving way so they know she's on their side. We adore Coach Kelley!!

Coach Dani is the kindest human!! She always gives a warm greeting and love to my kids. She also has a great eye at recognizing when a kid needs a little more direction/encouragement and doesn't let them shy away, which pushes them (lovingly) to learn and grow their gymnastics. She takes the time to learn what each kid loves and makes them feel special. I'll never forget when she found a space poster and gave it to my daughter who is OBSESSED with all things space-related! We love Coach Dani!

Coach Sasha is another awesome one! She led camp this summer and my girls absolutely loved her. She, too, instills boundaries and responsibilities in our kids in a loving way and always looks out for their well-being. They also love learning from a retired high-level gymnast!! Coach Sasha is really great!

Ultimately, no matter who coaches your kid, you'll have a wonderful role model for them and someone who wants to see them be healthy and happy, growing their confidence in gymnastics and in life!

We’ve been part of American Twisters for several years now (4 years for one of my kids and 3 years for the other), and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Both of my boys are in the Ninja Zone program with Coach Patrick, and it has been fantastic for them. Not only are they getting stronger and building coordination, but they’ve also gained so much confidence along the way.

Coach Patrick is an outstanding coach—he has a great way of connecting with each child, meeting them where they are, and motivating them to push just a little further. He makes the classes fun while still challenging the kids, and you can tell he genuinely cares about their progress.

The gym itself is clean, well-organized, and welcoming. The staff is friendly and professional, and the programs are structured in a way that keeps kids active, engaged, and excited to come back week after week. My boys always leave class smiling, and it’s become such a positive part of their routine.

I highly recommend American Twisters and especially Coach Patrick for the boys program. Anyone looking for a place that promotes physical fitness, builds confidence, and fosters a supportive environment for kids will be happy there.

SPECIAL NEEDS PARENTS: We took a chance on gymnastics for our daughter with Down syndrome this summer, and from day one everyone was kind and welcoming.
Coach Maddie was very attentive and sweet! The real rock star is Coach Patrick! Not only did he see our daughter but he encouraged and pushed her! Seeing him see her potential in such a short time meant the world to us! True inclusion at its finest—an amazing experience! Highly recommended!!!

American Twisters is a great place for kids to learn and grow their gymnastics interest. Our daughter throughly enjoyed her time there. My daughter started here a few months ago. Beautiful, clean, and fun atmosphere. We absolutely love Coach Kelley. She is so awesome with the kids. She is silly, kind, and encouraging to her students...and most of all VERY patient! My daughter had a fear of the bars, and Coach Kelley was so understanding and patient with my daughter. Came to this establishment for a birthday party and the kids had an absolute blast! The place was shut down for the birthday girl and party goers so no outside guest were allowed and I really appreciated that because you didn’t have to worry about your children being around people you weren’t familiar with. There is alot of square footage in this place, you never feel like you’re on top of someone else. While watching the kids play I got a chance to view the company’s class schedule nd they offer a variety or classes with flexible times and different age groups and skill sets. They also had a different area of the gym where food and cake were allowed. Definitely a place I would come back to. 10/10

Just wanted to give a big shout out to Coach Dani (Danielle) who coaches my granddaughter and some of her friends at Twisters Gymnastics. Coach Dani has a wonderful way with the kids, teaching them proper technique and safety while having fun. She is kind, but in control, and this results in the kids feeling a great sense of accomplishment. When we first came to Twisters, we were nervous whether we'd like it, as our past experiences in other gymnastics facilities were not positive. But we took a leap of faith, after many of our friends who have been at Twisters for years raved about their experiences and encouraged us. It was important to me to write this review after being at Twisters for a while. We have now been at Twisters for over a year and there's no place we'd rather be. We love every single coach, and it amazes me how a gym can have ALL coaches who are so awesome. The coaches are very present. They care so much about every single student and do not single out nor have favorites. The coaches are professional, incredibly skilled and go the extra mile. It is evident that Twisters is a top gym on the East Coast of the United States. After 10 months in recreation classes my child excelled into the pre-team program, and I never expected to be coming here to leave a review on how we started with lots of stressful parent-teacher meetings at school and red ink on tests and anxiety, and after a year at Twisters our child became a laser focused student who set a goal for herself to be on the A/B Honor Roll and achieved it. Came here for a birthday party and was blown away by the impeccable service of the hosts. I’ve gone to many birthdays at venues and hosted my own and never have I ever seen hosts so willing to help and offer the kids food and drinks and help them open their juice and pass out dessert while also hosting and supervising the kids while they jump and tumble. The most disappointing place of all the gyms we took my daughter to, after 15 years of practicing gymnastics, we moved our lives to Coconut Creek, looking for the top place in gymnastics and unfortunately it was the complete opposite, from the Headcoach Christy. that she was never up to the task of changing an element in the Beam. she tortured my daughter by hurting her leg with long damage because she became infatuated that she couldn't change her routine. everything good, skill-wise, that she brought from other places, she destroyed and/or took it out. For example, she arrived with 36 points and a while later, my daughter couldn't get over a 33. but this is not all, allowing the fierce bullying of her as well as the rest of the classmates and to compete, insulting to my daughters bully feet behind my daughter to her mom before a competition, all of them unpresentable. for the well-being and physical, mental and emotional health of your children, think very carefully before leaving them to people like these.

Huge gym, nice infra, relatively experienced coaches but terrible customer service. Relevant higher prices. Once you need anything, they pretend they don't care and that's it (vs other places that try to accommodate) - looks like they have enough kids in there as they don't need you as a customer. I was a part time coach at American Twisters for a short time and I am so grateful to have been a part of this facility. During my time there, I saw from the inside how passionate, dedicated, and full of integrity the staff is. No corners are cut when delivering a beautiful, memorable experience for the kids. Elayne, the competitive team manager called my wife and demanded me to remove this review or my daughter would not be able to attend her classes that were already paid for. That didnt settle well with me. Instead of fixing the current situation they added fuel to the fire. American Twisters has made a statement via email that they will not credit us the money because of thus review. My next step is other social platforms to share my thoughts, and then on to Florida's Attorney General, where I will file a complaint. You are a business and you must conduct yourself as such. You may do this nonsense with others, but it won't be done with me. You will learn from this mistake.

My daughter has been going to this gym for a year now. She learned a lot at the beginning, after that it seemed it was always the same repetition of things. Probably the best way for her to learn more would be for her to do a few times a week or the competition program, however it would be impossible for me to schedule her more than once a week due to what I’m going to write next.

I’m now dropping my daughter off the gym, not because of the learning that I just mentioned but because of lack of flexibility and willingness to help from their general manager Rebecca. The girls in the front (Deanne and Alexis) are the sweetest, they are always willing to help. However the general manager is the complete opposite.
My particular case is that, due to being divorced, I only have my daughter every other week (50%). When she used to go to TAG USA in Weston they were able to accommodate by accepting a prorated rate. Here in Twisters they never accepted the prorated rate, therefore I had to pay for all classes of which, 50% of them, ended up having to be rescheduled due to her not being here. The rescheduling process of make ups was a total nightmare. Every time I tried to schedule make ups either all the classes were full, or they were at times that she’s not available, or they would be available, they would schedule her and then I would receive a phone call 2 weeks later saying it was now full and she couldn’t do it. If the classes were cheap I would not have minded missing them, but at $50 a class I really didn’t want to waste that money.
So you can imagine how difficult this became for me.
Therefore the main reason for me dropping my daughter off this gym is their lack of flexibility in situations like mine and the complete lack of willingness to help of their general manager Rebecca.

My son has been going here for the last 6 months and loves it! He is in the Ninja class with Coach Patrick, who has the perfect balance of firm but caring. My son has Down syndrome and they treat him like all the other students, which is rare to find, most just see the disability! It was hard to find a gym around our area that would provide my gymnast with a strong gymnastic foundation as well as the positive coaching ability to help her achieve her goals. Bad place if you care about your child's body image. Head coach makes negative comments about girls being too fat. He is not subtle about it either. Praised a girl for looking great after losing weight....she had lost weight after being sick! Stay away unless you want to foster an eating disorder in your child. Old school head coach clearly has the "skinny/underweight is best" at all costs attitude. He is even quoted in a local paper praising how "lean" his girls are. Wake up and look at US National/Olympic team in recent years!! They are far from thin. They come in all sizes and are strong and beautiful!!

We love Twisters!! My daughter started taking classes at Twisters when she was 3 (today she is turning 8) and her little brother joined in the fun when he turned 3. My son thinks he is in "super hero training" where he gets to climb ropes, swing from bars, and soar through the air like his favorite superheroes. My daughter has developed physical strength and agility along with confidence from her classes and coaches at Twisters. My kids also enjoy attending camp at Twisters when school is out. Camp days are balanced with fun physical activities, games, crafts, and even some quiet time for the little ones. I have peace of mind knowing they are safe and engaged in fun healthy activities when school is out (without extended exposure to the brutal south Florida sun) The flexible camp hours are perfect for working families like ours. The ladies at the front desk are excellent. Barbara, Elaine and Debbie have watched my kids grow up over the last 5 years and treat us like extended family when we are at Twisters. Both the recreational and team coaches are top notch! The facility is outstanding and extremely well kept. I grew up as a gymnast and the Twisters facility surpasses any of the gyms I have trained in as a former competitive gymnast.
