Amenities/therapies are offered creating a recovery space post workout. My favorite is the Babe Cave. Equipment is nice and new for now. They allow guests to drop the weights so the machines will be broken soon. It also creates such loud noises that the sauna is not enjoyable. Hopefully management will address this.

How can a gym of this size still have only ONE water fountain—and on top of that, it barely ever works?

It’s extremely frustrating. There are so many times during my workout when I have to run from the complete opposite side of the gym just to get to the only fountain, and by the time I get there, it’s either broken, barely dripping, or completely shut down. I can’t count how many times I’ve had to finish my workouts thirsty, especially because I go late at night when buying water from the fridge isn’t even an option.

And before anyone says “bring your own water,” that’s not a real solution. People forget sometimes—life happens. But a gym should at least provide the basic minimum: accessible, working water. Having only one fountain, and having it broken most of the time, honestly feels disrespectful to your clients.

What’s worse is that it’s not just me. Over the year I’ve been working out here, several people have told me the exact same thing. Multiple friends of mine—regulars at this gym—complain about the water situation constantly. Some are seriously considering canceling their memberships or switching gyms just because of this, which sounds funny at first, but it shows how big the issue really is. Nobody should have to worry about dehydration at the gym.

Lately, the gym has also become more and more disorganized. Weights scattered everywhere, equipment not put back properly, and it feels like there’s very little management control on the floor. Honestly, I wouldn’t even take the time to complain about those things alone, but combined with the water fountain issue, it becomes impossible to ignore. I love the gym and the staff are amazing people but come on guys, gotta do something about it.

Unless something changes soon—adding more fountains or at the very least keeping the current one consistently working, I’ll be canceling my membership. Staying hydrated shouldn’t be a struggle. It’s the most basic thing a gym should provide.

The overall facility is really nice, and all but what made me want to leave a review today was one of the managers. Unfortunately Alex (General Manager) was out in meetings all day and one of the managers Sam, went above and beyond to try to handle a billing issue. Times are tough so I really do appreciate Sam for getting the needed help and information in helping me out. Also every time I come in there he’s always so ready to help with any questions or concerns. I really do hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

This place have a nasty customer service! I have jiu jitsu studios and I can say that they are losing sales because of a girl at front desk. She hang up on me over 10 times! All I wanted was a simple question! I drove there and she was nasty, unprofessional and stupid! I would love to give my insight to the owners of this place!!! They are paying a salary to someone that stead of creating memberships, she is disrespectful with her job and customers! I wish I could enjoy the gym to sauna and bring my students to sign in to a membership to do cardio. But with that nasty girl right when you come in? I would never put my feet there again!!!! Horrible! Just horrible what happened! At one moment I thought she was going to jump on me.

Horrible customer service

I had the same experience as some of the other reviews. I walked in, told the front desk girl this was my first time in, I signed up for the membership online. She immediately cut me off and turned around, then expressed to me that she's just so excited the staff got their redbull delivery. Her "second redbull of the day"... anyhow, she activates and hands me my access card, then that was it. Luckily I had been to the gym with my Fiancé before (she didn't know that) but what if I hadn't? You just let people join the gym then send them off without showing them what and where the resources are is very strange to me. Just shows the staff is either not trained well, or they're just hired so young they truly dont care. The only reason I stay here is for the babe cave tbh. I've seen that being actively cleaned by staff more than a few times and the ambiance is very cool. The sauna in the women's bathroom sketches me out with cleanliness. The hydromassage isn't worth the money - but the fact they have some advanced features like this is pretty cool. Agree that the dumbbell areas are just man overload and completely overcrowded. They also have fitness classes apparently but have no easy access to information on how to find/sign up for the classess....

DONT, don’t don’t don’t come here especially if you don’t want to be scammed. They lie and charge outrageous amounts of money for their teeeny bopper trainers. I was hit by a car in April and four months later I needed to have physical therapy so I decided to hire a trainer. The first trainer they gave me she wasn’t bad at all in fact, I actually genuinely enjoyed her but then about a month into our training, she ended up quitting and going to a different route and they didn’t even let me know until the day I was supposed to show up for my next session. Everybody at the front desk is extremely unprofessional In fact, they even answer the phone speaking Ebonics There is never a manager on staff time that I request to speak with one. The bathrooms are extremely disgusting and dirty and never have any soap or hand towels. Everybody in there is looking to impress Instagram with their tripods and hogging of the machines It reminds me of a big high school experiment.

The staff is straight out of high school With no actual intellect on how to deal with customers In fact, every time I would try to bring a guest (I pay almost $600 a month for this membership) They would give me a hard time until I made a big scene and they looked further into my membership Capabilities and realize that I was allowed to have many guests. I paid for a three month program for my physical training and decided to cancel it after it was done. Because I had realized that I was a lot stronger than I initially thought after my accident I ended up having surgery and called to cancel my membership And I was promised and even sent a receipt that I would no longer be charged $310 every 2 weeks. Three months later, I am still being charged this money, even though I was promised by the manager and sent an email that I would no longer be charged They are liars and scammers and run nothing but a money scheme business. I have contacted a lawyer And will be pursuing this further since I cannot get any answers from the front desk nor the management

I don’t know who these girls behind the counter think they are but clearly they need to be re-onboarded and taught some manners. It was my first time, and I expressed that to the girl at the counter. She gave me the barcode to put on my keychain. Since it’s my first time I’m waiting to be at least shown where the restroom and water fountain is. After a year of going to this gym I just can't find a positive thing to say. Don't be fooled by the coat of paint and the graphics on the walls. This gym is terrible. The barbell platforms are filthy, one of them is directly below a leak they seem unable to deal with. There's a stuck on piece of gum on the floor of one of them that I now consider a friend because it's been there for so long. I paid for the revamped membership in order to use the cold plunge and the "once per month" body scan. Every. Single. Month, getting in there for my scan is a mission. It is just a sales funnel for their personal trainers. The policy seems to change or depend on the staff. Occasionally I've been able to get my scan done without issue, other times, I've had a trainer let me in the room and leave, without unlocking the scanner. I've had a trainer tell me "I'm not trying to sell you SHIT!" for politely declining training services. The front desk is absolutely useless, hardly being bothered to look up from their phones while on duty, getting food delivered, completely ignoring clients. If you don't know what the Gen Z stare is you will find out here. The layout is no better. A hallway of treadmills at any given time is only 25% in use, while the rest of the gym is absolutely overrun. Out of 6 barbell platforms, 3 are virtually useless as they do not have a facing mirror to the platform. I haven't even attempted to use the cold tubs because I've seen the experience other people have and I don't think I can pass the test to get in there, and even if I did, based on how dirty the rest of the gym is I have no interest in using the tub at all, much less if they're even operational in the first place as 2 of the 3 seem to always be nonfunctioning. Ridiculous rules and policies regarding everything from filming to shoes, any member violating the "rerack weights" policy will be charged $50? I don't recall agreeing to that. This gym is closer to a playroom than a weight room and most of the time weights are left on the plate loaded machines and barbells, so where's the enforcement? Terrible, just terrible.

Warning: Unclear Contracts & Poor Service
Preceeding this review the gym itself is beautiful and very well maintained. Also my trainer Donovan was fantastic.
BUT, Beware when signing up here. I was misled into a 3-month contract for training, as when I downgraded my plan (which they said was fine) it restarted my three months which I wasnt made aware of. I followed their cancellation policy, yet still got charged for extra time.
The manager, Alex, ignored my attempts to contact him multiple times, and the general manager, Jess, was rude when I asked about a refund, claiming she "did me me a favor" by canceling at all. I signed a cancellation form, which Alex, explicitly told me was accepted. (even though he denies ever saying this).
Unprofessional and frustrating. Would not recommend

I was looking for a gym that had yoga and pilates. On their website it says they offer yoga and pilates so I decided to sign up. That same day I downloaded the app so that I could see when the classes were. The app didnt work. So over I sent in 4 different contact forms through their website and never got a response. A few days later I was running with my dog through the yard and tripped. I cause damage to my right toe and had to have surgery. So I decided to call to cancel my membership. When I called the woman said they would cancel it but I needed to provide i dr note. So I scheduled an appointment with my Dr and got the note. I then called the Pompano Beach location and informed them I got the note. They said because of my injury I could email it in but that I would have to speak to a manger who comes in after 6pm. I have been calling for 2 weeks. Several times. And no one has answered the phone after 6pm. So no I have to drive down there, even though my dr said I am not supposed to drive, to cancel my membership because they are completely irresponsible and dont answer the phone. I have called 9 times today alone. This is horrible customer service 😒

The same thing happened to me that has happened to several other people who have written reviews. I joined right when they opened in 2024 and ended up moving to a different town in December of 2024. I called and asked to cancel my membership and they told me to mail a letter. I did exactly that and low and behold, was charged the following month. I called the location and was told a manager would call me back. I never heard back from said manager so I disputed the charge. They sent me to a debt collector which call and harrass me daily. I have tried calling Amped several times to get this taken care of but no one answers their phones and their voicemail is full so I can't leave a message. Total scam of a company. Highly recommend choosing a different gym to go to and boycott Amped Fitness Pompano.

Out of the Amped I have gone this is by far my favorite, they have everything you need plus amazing amenities for recovery including red light suana and ice bath. Brooke is an amazing personal trainer! She’s knowledgeable, motivating, and truly cares about helping you reach your goals. The staff is also incredibly warm and welcoming. Just started coming to the gym in Pompano moved here from New York. I Immediately met Mauricio, the new gym. He not only went out of his way to welcome me and show me around, But when I asked about the shoulder exercise, He legitimately came over with me and showed me exactly how to target each part of the muscle.

This gym needs to work on their office skill or something. I heard from a friend that the ac was out earlier and wanted to see if it still was so I called. Not only is the number on their website wrong, but no one answered after I tried calling many times. I assume that the phone number on google is correct, but I’m not really sure. They should update the phone number on their website at least I’ll include a photo of the out of service number with the review.
