I really prefer this Anytime Fitness to the one in Gainesville. This location is larger, has more machines, seems like it's a different crowd. It's a little bit of a drive from Gainesville, but not as bad as driving down Archer Road anytime of day.

Crowd seems chill, the location is always pretty clean, there's more space so you're not feeling crowded while you're exercising.

I dig this location, I think you might as well.

Has pretty much everything you need for a weight training workout. But I can’t workout in a place that uses Glade type air perfuming. These types of products are incredibly toxic to breathe in and it is so strong my shirt actually has the perfume/floral smell on it when I leave. Tried to give feedback to the person working there but she seemed indifferent and stated that she liked the smell. It may smell good to some folks but that doesn’t mean that it’s not toxic. Wish I could give feedback to the owner but did not see a way to do that. And there are many cleaning products available that do not use xenoestrogens which actually disrupt a persons hormones and are incredibly bad for you

As a truck driver I go to many Anytime locations, this has to be one of, if not the nicest one I’ve been too. Definitely not your average Anytime. It’s big, it has a ton of equipment, it was also clean, as I took advantage of the shower. I’ve only been here once, but I definitely will go here again if I can. This Anytime sets the bar, literally.

Staff is helpful and friendly. Has an old style curling machine that's bad for back, solar plexus, tendons, and elbows. I've used a curl machine at several AF's that you sit on with your back against a pad and it isolates the biceps. Wish they had assisted dip machine.

The only thing I have a problem with is that people do not rerack the weights after they use the equipment, and the weights are put in other areas of the gym and you have hunt for the weights.

The one in Alachua is allot smaller than the one in Lake City. Has your basic equipment, bikes,elliptical, treadmill, and strength building equipment so its got enough to get a good workout. And the one girl on staff was very friendly. But it was missing some of my favorite machines for strength/muscle building and the massage chair, I really LOVE that massage chair after a workout but luckily when I have extra time I can always go to Lake City 😊

Very glad that Alachua has a good lifter's gym! Has 90% of the types of machines I could have hoped for which is more than most gyms. The staff is very friendly and do an amazing job of keeping the place clean. The photos and trophies from physique competitions are inspirational as heck! Thanks Anytime Fitness Alachua!

P.S. I will keep asking for a hack squat or pendulum/lever squat in the suggestion box until it happens even if it never does 😁

I'm a travel nurse, so finding convenient places to work out occurs fairly frequently. This place was closer to our current location than Planet Fitness, so we went to see about joining for three months, while I'm here working. They were not at all interested in our business unless we signed a year contract. They could have had three months of our money. We will stick to Planet Fitness as they have no problem with short term members!

I have been working out here for a couple of years. I used the exercise room and the ergometer. Over the past 6 months, they have relocated the ergometer into an unusable part of the facility and situated it right next to LARGE HOLES IN THE WALLS made by people dropping large weights. They have moved more and more equipment into the exercise room which now takes up a lot of floor space. They need ceiling fans in the exercise room due to a serious mold problem that required mitigation earlier this year and for comfort. I have left written suggestions and spoken with floor personnel who seemingly could not care less. The center is convenient with keyless entry that I like.

I am a bit shocked that anytime fitness with 24/7 access does not admit people that want to sign up or come in unless you have a membership. I wanted to sign up for a membership, now I am not so sure. Bottom line is this bad customer service. Especially when there was a staff member inside that would not even come to the door. I found out from one of the guys that was working out in the gym.

I was an original member. I have nothing negative to say about this place. I haven't been there in a few years but when I did, Dean the manager along with other guys took me under their wings and I ended up.in the best shape in my life. All you have to do is ask. There is alot of knowledge in that gym. If you want to lose weight or get huge, this is the gym to go to. But remember these words, " it's not a sprint, it's a marathon." Wise words from Dean Ellis

Terrible customer service. Explained to manager I was new to the area and wanted to pay for a year in advance, but needed to sign up remotely because I work a job during their M-F hours of operation, and would like to start working out sooner than this upcoming Saturday. If you are someone who likes to watch TV to make your boring cardio go by this isn't the gym for you! TVs have had issues for months & seems like there is no concern to fix them! Nothing more annoying than being a paying customer for 4 years & feeling like your request/need isn't important! I do 2 a days. I come for cardio first thing in the morning and in the afternoon for weights! But impossible here! Ruins my day! Ruins my workout!

The gym it self is in good shape, but customer service is horrible! I had to cancel my membership due to job change and was not upset at paying the cancellation fees. The next month after that they still charged me. I have spent another month in addition trying to get my refund and I still have not received the money or any phone calls back from management after I have left several messages asking for them to. Don't use this gym!! If life happens you're screwed.

This gym is convenient and affordable with no contact option. It is currently expanding with an additional building and tons of equipment! I recommend this gym for women and the early birds. You get in and out, you are not waiting for everything like some larger super expensive facilities 15-20 mins away.
