This gym has really improved since coming under new ownership! The new manager, RJ, is doing a fantastic job keeping everything clean and making sure broken equipment gets fixed quickly. The atmosphere of the gym is a lot different now seeing both staff members always on the floor and engaging with everyone customer. Very knowledgeable and always willing to help members improve their form and reach their goals.

Anytime Fitness off six mile cypress has been an absolute game changer for me! The gym is always clean, well-organized and has all the equipment I need. This gym is so dirty my god. The bathrooms are literally disgusting. Rust on ceilings, rust on shower rail. Toilet paper never stocked but they leave a giant roll on the bench smh. They leave hella doors open so anybody can walk into any of the rooms there. The little separate room is so over crowded with butt enhancement workouts. I remember when it was just a plain open space room smh. And it stinks in there. There’s no place to fill up my water bottle and the water that comes out the water fountain literally smells putrid. Save yourself the drive and go to another gym.

- This is one of moments where I wish I could say I was joking but I guess this is the reality of it. I signed a 2-Year membership contract with Zach back in 2023 to which I know for sure ended in April 2025 as seen in the photos attached down below. So imagine my surprise when I get charged continuously in April 2025. I had attempted to contact the office- no luck, went in person and "mysteriously" the person that handles the finances isn't there. Tell me how that makes sense that the trainers can take your money but can't cancel memberships?

Someone from billing called me to receive my "missed" payment for April but I already had a charge done on April 2nd to end my membership? So I informed the billing department and they stated that every contract and the one that I had signed is set up to automatically renew after the 2 Year is up... How does that make sense when one signs up for a SPECIFIC amount of year contract but isn't advised that their contract auto renews without the signer being made aware?

The trainers are obviously aware of this scummy scheme.
I notified my bank and supplied the screenshots that I had attached and they will be stopping the charges. Their gym lies about the Month to Month charges, hella overpriced Trainer charges and the gym itself is garbage with their maintenance.

SCAM ALERT!! YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP!!!
I have been trying to cancel my membership since MARCH (it is currently October). I went in person multiple times to this location and no one was working during office hours. Finally I got someone to help me cancel my membership, I signed what I had to sign, I agreed to pay a cancellation fee, and I am STILL BEING CHARGED MONTHLY. I have called multiple times and left multiple emails. I got a call from collections about this account saying it wasn’t being paid and collections was harassing me while I am still getting charged. Worst business of all time. I don’t know how they manage to get away with this.
UPDATE: Those dates are in 2024. It is now AUGUST 2025 and I still can’t get these parasites out of my bank account!!! ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR NOW, and they renewed my lease without my consent!!! This should be illegal!!!

Tried to cancel since February 2024. Called many times and left voicemails. One time a person answered and said they’d make sure the cancellation gets processed. A year later they are still charging me. They claim they can only cancel in person. Then why did their trainer or employee say they’d make sure it gets canceled? If the trainer would have told me that I had to come in person, I would have. Also, if they knew it had to be done in person, they could’ve returned my call from the many voicemails. I left to tell me that I had to come in person. But I never got a call back. Today the owner would not back date the cancellation even though I offered proof via my call logs of the times I called.

The manger Elijah or the owner of anytime fitness is nothing but a rip off. Great gym offering the range of equipment found in many larger gyms, without the hassle of the excessive crowds. Elijah (General Manager and trainer) keeps the place extremely clean, a win for germaphobes like myself. His level of customer service is far and above what I've experienced at most other local gyms--what convinced me to make this my home gym, in the first place. His interaction with the gym patrons is always friendly and inviting. The same can be said for Zach, another trainer. Excellent skillset and attention to clients, especially those with mobility issues or limitations. My only criticism is that some of the accessory equipment could use a re-vamp.

They dont Accept Active and Fit or Silver Sneakers Per Sales Rep-They were aware that they are listed on the database on these platforms, however they refuse to accept this insurance (which they havent removed from)"During Peak season" This conversation transpired this afternoon with a Sales Rep who informed me that I could "Speak with a Manager tomorrow Morning" I had left multiple voicemails attempting to reach management prior to this encounter in order to gain my key fob and finalize my activation from active and fit. BUYERS BEWARE: BE WARNED AND BE CAREFUL!! I will try to make my long story short. Elijah, manager or owner, whatever title he holds has the character of a USED CAR SALESPERSON. Twice Ive encountered him over the past few years. When I moved to Fort Myers in 2020 I went to his gym to request a cancellation and was willing to pay all and any fees required. Idk, if his gym suffers a penalty or what, but he kept me there for over an hour trying to
persuade me not to cancel. Finally got it done, If memory serves me correctly he told me i had to contact the anytime fitness i signed up with after keeping me there all that time. Fast forward to Nov 2023, I now have a Tivity/Health membership which allows me to go to any participating provider. I went during business hours, Elijah opened the door and with a used car salesy-guy grin, said how can i help you, I asked if his gym was accepting Tivity members, Elijah blatantly said no, long story short…I called the customer service number in which they said, Elijah’s Anytime Fitness is absolutely a particpating provider, and should not deny me entry, as Tivity pays them for their members. I go back to the gym with the customer service rep on the phone, & Elijah gives me the same excuse apparently he gives to everyone else, he is busy and with a customer, I will have to wait 30 min.

Idk what the world is coming to but everybody is out for the dollar and if you aren’t giving it to them they aren’t going to help you. I could feel his sleezy lie when he told me, hence why i called the customer service number. Only to come on google reviews tonight and see so many people have encountered and have had a similar experience. How they are still in business or he is still employed there is beyond me.

Again consider yourself warned, if you are signing up and are going to give them the money they want, you probably will not have any issues. However, if you think you may cancel your membership, your 7 day trial, or have a tivity membership, do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. I had a similar experience at the LA Fitness in Gulf Center, my only conclusion is, when it comes to gym staff not earning a commission, they’re not going to want to help you.

I called the day I created my membership to cancel because needed a fob to get in. Left a message. Called again and spoke to the gyms owner and said he'd look into after he finished with his client and call me back. Next day no call back so I called again left another message. Finally got the owner on the phone said he'd look into again. I called corporate because you only have a certain window to cancel. I spoke with Karen who said she would document in the system what was going on and that I would have to allow the club owner 72 hours to call me but it would be canceled. We'll here we are my account my was charged $51.45 and called headquarters again and no note eas in the system and the owner doesn't allow anyone else to make cancelations, but himself. It's a scam. So now if my bank won't do anything I'll have to get an attorney to get out of this contract. Glad I have names dates and times of everyone whom I've spoken to.

Just don’t go here. Go literally anywhere else. I promise you. It’s terrible. The people that run it are just trying to stay afloat. They only care about taking your money. Which is really sad. I’ve had a membership for 2 years now - I’ve tried cancelling it over 5 times. They impose fees and make up policies, and claim they inform of these rules (which they don’t). I’m the type of person to read the terms and agreements. You think I wouldn’t recall you saying my agreement was extended 7 months??!!!!!!!!

The other anytime in fort myers allows you to cancel if needed, not this one. Going on 1 year of an unused membership and still they won’t allow me to cancel, that’s $400.00 I’ve lost because they won’t accommodate.

Nice little cozy gym that has plenty of equipment. It’s not like a public gym with hundreds of ppl in the busy hour. I’m not waiting for someone to get off the equipment. The facility is nice and clean and same goes for the bathrooms & showers. The showers were a big issue for me at the other gyms. The gym staff and management team is amazing, I never had a problem. I used to live in in the Decorum apartments right across the street from Anytime fitness. I always would stare at the sign from my window while I sat at my gaming desk eating fast food. I spent a year seeing that sign unhappy when I looked into the mirror, unhappy in my relationship & unhappy with where I was in life. That changed when I walked into those doors. This is an excellent gym. It's always very clean and orderly. Plenty of benches, dumbbells and all the equipment you could possibly need. It has a nice studio if you want to get into a private place to do mat work. The bathrooms and showers are spotless! Management is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Even when I see some folks in there who obviously don't have "gym etiquette" like re-racking their weights and putting their equipment away (like kettlebells or whatever)... the staff just quietly goes along behind them and tidies up so that the place stays organized. I can't say enough about this gym. I have no idea what the other folks are complaining about because I've never had a single bad experience here and I've been here over a year.

I was doing personal training and myself and trainer cancelled my training and yet they continue to take out payment for services I am no longer receiving. I have reached out several times via email and phone call however no one returns my call. The trainer no longer even works at Anytime but I have still yet to be reimbursed on this for something I am no longer receiving. I joined the gym the end of December 2020. I liked that it’s a smaller gym that has everything you could need to get a great workout.

I signed up for personal training (6 months) with Elijah. He’s awesome! He pushes me and encourages me. He’s taught me so much about working out!

I highly recommend Elijah as a trainer, he truly cares about people! I plan to sign up for another 6 months of training with him :) Thank you Elijah for your knowledge and support!!

I love this gym!!!! I been a member here for the past 3 years. The trainers are amazing!!!! The gym is a smaller location but still has everything you need. Weights, machines, cardio equipment, showers etc. it’s never too crowded during peak hours, (but has more people though) and is my happy place! I’ve been there 3 years plus!

But finding the right place where you feel encouraged not judged, a place where everyone of different ages and abilities can feel safe to do what works best for them, with goals in mind is rare. We've all been to the Gym where the Tuff-guys hang out and dominate the equipment. This is a fitness center that helps you assists you and guides you. We need that this year 2020 and every year. I was recently charged for a membership I did not want. I did the 7 day free trial and made sure I went in on the last day to cancel it. I started it March 22 and came back March 29 to cancel my membership which is Monday-Monday because they are closed on weekends or I would have done it sooner. I have gone in multiple times try and get this resolved but have received no satisfaction. I just went in today again to get this resolved after being nice about it for over two weeks and he disrespected me in front of the whole gym when he could've handled it privately. And after trying multiple times to contact him in person, over the phone and email he had the audacity to say he does not have time to check his email or phone calls because he is booked up on training sessions. Maybe he should make time or not over book his schedule. He also had the audacity to say I came in a day after my trial was up. This was not true I do not play around with my money especially 104 dollars when I am a college student living pay check to paycheck! Also went in physically multiple times and I had to speak to him while he was training people or come back when he would be working WHILE he was training people and today I had to wait 30 minutes until he was done. Not good customer service very disrespectful and unprofessional. Do not do the free trial unless you know you will be getting the membership because if you check google reviews there are multiple people that are going through or have gone through the same thing as me. Very disappointed. Also the equipment is not the best and you can go to a bigger gym with much better equipment for cheaper and no contract. I recommend LA Fitness in gulf coast town center. Great customer service and big and good equipment.

This isn’t my home Anytime Fitness gym, but whenever I want a change of scenery I have enjoyed my visits here. I cannot speak to the staff as I always have come past staffed hours, but the gym has always been clean and not heavily populated. It is a smaller location but it has everything you’ll need to get a good lift in.

No gym is perfect but this gym is a perfect fit for me. Not too big, never too crowded, friendly people. The manager is receptive to suggestions or requests. I left another gym to come here a year ago and have no regrets. I also love that my Anytime Fitness membership goes with me when I travel.

Signed up for the gym. Went there two times in one week afterwards I called because I did not like the fact that it was too small. I called to cancel 2 months after and still they a billed me and take money off my account. They are not easy to get hold off. voicemail nobody will call you back.

Love this gym! Been coming here for a couple of years. Its always clean and the staffs are super friendly. Elijah and Eric are great coaches, i personally recommend them if you need a trainer or would like to do boxing classes.

This gym is more concerned about profits than customers. Would rather continue to charge customers month after month that have not stepped foot in the gym for 6+ months, maybe a courtesy call to check and see if I am ok or why I haven't been in the gym for months and months.

This gym is amazing! When I started my journey to loose weight and get in shape a little over a year ago, I felt lost as many of us do especially just starting out shortly after I meet Elijah for a free gym lesson on the equipment and I ended up signed up for personal training with him, which I was leery about with having knee issues and my previous experience with personal trainer”s” before over at around the clock and that was and awful experience! I’ve been training with Elijah for just over a year now and I now see him twice a week, my transformation has been amazing!! I’ve even had some set backs with knee issues and he has always been great with helping me through it with some myofascial release and altered exercises. Elijah is definitely worth every penny, he is highly knowledgeable, very personable and great at his job, no two people are the same and neither are his fitness routines! Overall great gym with cleanliness, great equipment and professionalism!

Went for a FREE 7 day trial and got charged $58! When I went to get a refund I was treated like the charge was my fault. Elijah was very unprofessional, he kept saying he was all about customer service and that i had nothing to worry about because he was going to take care of it. Its been 4wks later and still no refund. I have had to call them over and over and still have not been contacted. All this for a 7 day trial that I only used one day from. I decided to not do the 7 day trial because the place was too small. It only has two small bathrooms with only one shower in each bathroom, no locker rooms and not much equipment. all this for $35! When i can go across the street to around the clock fitness for less than that! Way better gym, two floors of equipment for less. I contacted corporate and still haven't heard back from them. Please save yourself the hassle and don't do the 7 day trial. If you do, don't give them any payment info. This same thing happened to my friend who signed up with me on the same day. So this was not an isolated issue. Hope this helps, Good luck and chose carefully.

I started personal training sessions with Elijah at the end of August. I wanted to achieve a fitness goal before my 40th birthday. Elijah put together a personalized meal plan and workout routine that works just for me. He has a background of an athlete and the knowledge and science of training. He is extremely professional, always motivating, and pushes me to limits that I never knew I could achieve!!! I always leave feeling empowered. The results were so good after my 12 week program I signed up for another 12 weeks!
The gym is always clean and the bathroom is spotless. Great friendly atmosphere and the location is perfect.

This gym and the owner are an absolute nightmare to deal with!!! I have had such a horrible experience with the Fort Myers gym on Bernwood.

At the beginning of November they were having a 30 day free trial. I signed up for it but a couple of weeks in, I ran into a financial situation and would not be able to afford the monthly payment. A week and a half before my trail was over I tried contacting the gym to cancel so my card did not get charged. After calling many times, leaving many voicemails, and writing several facebook messages, it took me over a week to get in touch with someone. The owner told me he'd take care of it and I would not be charged. I was charged. It took me over 2 weeks to get in touch with him again. I had to go into the gym in person 5 times in addition to calling many times to finally get in contact to make sure my account was cancelled. He told me he issued a refund but I was double charged instead. It took me several weeks to finally get in contact with him again to get a refund for both charges and he told me he contacted corporate about getting me a check on Dec 20th and it would take 10 business days. IT IS NOW FEBRUARY AND I HAVE RECEIVED NO PAYMENT AND HE WILL NOT ANSWER MY CALLS, VOICEMAILS, OR FACEBOOK MESSAGES. I contacted the billing department and was told that he never issued a refund to my credit card like he had said and there was no record of him contacting corporate either. HE IS A LIAR AND A THIEF!!! I am still owed $78 that I could really use right now and he has ghosted me.

Convenient, clean, and worth the price. This particular location has plenty of free weights, including squat racks and dynamic training equipment. Of course, you have access to cardio machines like treadmills, stairmaster, and bikes. They do offer classes for a fee and they have a hydro-massage table for $10 a session. There are seperate men's and women's bathrooms with shower available. 24/7 access to this and facilities worldwide are what sold me. Go ahead and join, you won't regret it.

They gym is fine very adequate. The issues are everything is dirty, I’ve never seen anyone clean in the gym. Also the wipes are out and don’t get replaced till a couple days later and the bathrooms are beyond disgusting , pee on the seats and floor sometimes the soap dispenser doesn’t have any soap and I’ve been going here for over a year

The employees at this facility do not take care of this place. The gym is constantly out of the wet wipes so patrons are unable to properly clean the equipment. Many of the machines feel sticky and built up with grime. I had to leave the gym early today because I was unable to wipe the equipment down as every dispenser in the gym was completely out of wipes. I didn't feel right about working out and not being able to properly care for the equipment. Not to mention, it grossed me out. Additionally, I wish there were plyo boxes for box jumps at this facility but there aren't any. However, the big issue is the cleanliness of the machines and equipment...it's gross. I will likely be going back to Around the Clock Fitness where I was much happier.

EDIT: Was made aware that it was the manager I encountered, but that's all the information that changes.

"We don't do monthly memberships because people pay for a month and aren't losing much when I kick them out. If they're locked in a year contract they understand they have more to lose and if I kick them out, I still get to keep all the money."

"We're not fully staffed so it's up to the members to maintain the gym. I'm not your maid, I'm not going to clean up after everyone."

He also didn't even bother showing me around because he said, "people usually leave when they figure out I only do annual memberships."

I was looking find out more about making an account and I've never experienced such aggression when inquiring about a membership.

Make your own opinion with that but it seems to me like the owner: decided to go with one of the easiest business models, doesn't truly care about customer service, and wants the customer to solely maintain his business.
