Visited as a guest recently and boy do I feel for the regulars here. I've owned and managed gyms all through my work past so I can easily spot a neglect in funding/care for proper upkeep as well the correct systems to maintain operations and client/guest conduct.

It only took the one visit to see the clientele emboldened disregard cleaning after themselves or putting equipment back over and over again. It may be harder to police activity in unsupervised hours, but just because something is harder does not mean it should be nixed completely. It is disrespectful to the guests that actually clean and maintain during their brief time daily. The lackadaisical nature of action told me this is very regular and careless. For one thing is certainly explained the odor of the facility and the mess of equipment throughout.

It did not appreciated the broken soap dispenser in the bathroom, insulation dangling from the ceiling, and air filtration system caked from years of a lack of maintenance. With proper systems and care these things should be addressed. Best of luck to this gym, you will need it.

Poorly managed gym. I wanted to cancel my membership and sent an email to corporate, provider via voicemail by an AF worker. Turns out the email was wrong, so even though I wanted my membership cancelled in February, they’re charging me through May. Zero help from corporate number, either. They just want your money. Have an issue? Too bad, you’re still on the hook.

30-day cancellation policy is insane, especially for a gym where workers are almost never in the office or pick up a phone, and where equipment is left broken for weeks without being fixed.

The cost has also skyrocketed, and for what? No more included classes—you have to pay for those now on top of your membership. And if you want to go month to month, expect a higher cost AND still needing to cancel an entire month in advance.

The only thing this place has is convenience, and it’s definitely not worth the $70 a month price tag.

This gym is gross. And I mean truly filthy and disgusting. It’s never been to the crispy level of other corporate gyms, but this might be the worst I’ve ever been to. Sure for a long time they have had issues with many folk on the regular who never wipe down equipment and refuse to put back weights and the like. Those people have never been policed, though we all know who they are. That is a fixable cultural problem though. I hope new management can take care of such as easy problem to remedy. No one has tried in years, but it’s time.

Now though, new leadership has taken away sanitary wipes. It was replaced with a clear spray no more effective than plain water. It did nothing. As you can imagine, the gym quickly grew smelly and rank. Weights and equipment became slimy to the touch. Having my own sanitary wipe on hand you can see the dramatic side by side of effectiveness (pics included). We began living in our bacteria and fungus. Complaints took forever for replies and fixes. They did replace the spray liquid with something slightly better, but still without the effectiveness from before. The district manager me assured me this liquid is effective and industry standard. Gaslighting that my eyes were lying to me and results I see from wiping aren’t really happening. Also a logical fallacy in comparison. It does not matter where it’s used, what matters is actual effectiveness and the pictures don’t lie.

I wish they were truthful and said these paper towels and new liquid were simply just cheaper. You know, a simple, “we don’t care about your cleanliness and health. It’s a just a money decision”. Real talk would be appreciated. This is a small, but rapidly growing town and it won’t be long before another gym comes in. The town will surely remember how we were treated and disregarded and then leave. Then we can see this boneheaded financial decision in action.

I will finish this review to drive home that this place still smells, it’s still slimy, the district manager blames it on the staff (I can share the email) but it starts from the top. Enjoy the array of pictures I took today and earlier this week.

I don’t understand the 5 star reviews about this gym being clean, it’s clear that these are fake reviews. The cleanliness at this location is unacceptable.

Despite multiple attempts to reach out to new management and corporate, complaints about the cleanliness of this gym has fallen on deaf ears.

The cleanliness at this gym is abysmal and the cleaning solution in the spray bottles are clearly watered down substance. There use to be multiple sanitary wipe stations located around the gym until recently they have completely run out of sanitary wipes.

The photos below clearly illustrate the difference in effectiveness between the diluted substance applied to the paper towel, which fails to properly disinfect the equipment, and the sanitary wipe, which effectively disinfects the equipment after use.

This is a fungal and staph infection outbreak waiting to happen. Management has decided to give members a big middle finger and do not care about the overall cleanliness. They have chosen for us to live in grime and squalor, and they do not give a damn.

Our family used to enjoy this gym very much. It was extremely convenient and it wasn’t overcrowded in our small Florida town. The old staff was extremely friendly and inviting. Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel all our accounts with Anytime Fitness because New ownership is only trying to push in as many people as they can. You can barely work out there. You have to sit and wait for everything. The newer staff and management are nasty and rude. After speaking with a few of them the past few weeks you can tell they are only pushing to make money, and filling quotas. Our local small town gym is no more, so we have decided to move on to a cheaper and larger gym with a lot more options and less attitude.

This is one of the worst anytime fitness I've been to. The worst part is the bathrooms there's only two showers and they are absolutely filthy it's evident that they haven't been cleaned in months there's caked on dust on the toilet paper holders the shower itself was so gross I don't recommend going in there barefoot there was blood and mucus on the walls and shower curtain. It makes no sense that the showers are like this because it's a pretty big gym it even has a fancy studio, tanning bed, 15 tvs on the wall and about 25 treadmills I would hope they invested their money instead on one of the most important parts of the gym which is the bathroom/showers. Whoever works at the front couldn't give less of a crap about anything can barely answer a question and they just sit there on their phone when they could get up, get a rag, some cleaning products and take 30 mins to clean all of those TWO showers its embarrassing that with only two showers they cant clean them. Also there's no weight room like some have it's just all out in the open and they have classes in the middle of the whole gym. To the manager please take yourself and staff on a little field trip to the AF in Cape Coral on Santa Barbara, bring a notebook and take some notes.

Cant use half the gym because of classes. Male trainer will literally set up for class while you are still doing sets on turf. I will get out of way before class starts i dont need trainer to block my workout with a yoga ball 15 mins before class starts. People dont respect personal space at this gym. Several treadmills are broken. Only one stair stepper. Membership is too expensive for the amount of equipment down and the fact that u can not use middle of gym half the time. Gym inly has minimal equipment to train legs. Need to invest in more leg machines like a hack squat or lying hamstring machine.

I go early in the A.M. there is a rude man who just walks around. He has no concept of personal space and will literally step over you if you are on floor or make you wait for him to walk by to pick up weights. There is only 1 stair stepper and he puts his green towels on stepper to gold his spot while he paces around the gym. You also can not use the middle part of the gym in the morning due to classes. It's ok, needs some dusting on cardios and studio floor, wiping after wipes 'cause everything gets sticky. Maybe also a sign-reminder to some guys to keep the good sportsmanship and gym is no cussing zone, because it's a public place. There is one guy wearing american flag tank top dropping F-bomb every 5 sec and talks loud to his friend, comes around 10 or so. He has to be reminded he is not alone there, he is driving customers out of the gym and scaring older ladies. Classes are good and fun though.

There are kids running around during afternoon/evenings and the parents don't watch or control their children! It is so hard to workout. When I go in the A.M. there is a weird guy who paces around, he will walk in front of dumbells and will step over you if you are doing abs on purple turf. I have seen him shoulder check people when he walks around. Door was closed in room and he opened door and stepped over my feet while I was in there stretching. He makes me feel so uncomfortable. I know he makes others feel uncomfortable too, because they will scoot bench up to try and keep him from walking in front of them by weight rack. Management needs to stop him from pacing around. He will do a set of abs and walk around gym and walk over people and right in front of people. I will probably cancel Membership because he creeps me out. He gets so close to me when I'm @ free weights and will walk right behind me if I scoot bench up. He has literally braised my backside while walking. It is weird! He is an older man in his 50's and is there most mornings.

I reviewed this gym 10 months ago and after an extended absence started going again. It is still a great gym to get some exercise. Large gym with plenty of equipment and space. If you want to be socially distant this place has taken the time to spread out their equipment. They go the extra mile to keep the place clean. Very clean and plenty of equipment to pick from lots of free weights and cardio chooses, larger than your regular anytime or atleast most I've been to. Would highly recommend this gym.
