I have been a member of anytime fitness since 2021, since being a member, i have moved several times, been to multiple AF gyms, I have brought multiple guests in and nobody has ever come up to me and said anything to me about it or corrected me for it. I did not like this gym at all, the very first day I went the man who was running the gym was extremely nosey and kept staring at me and everyone else. he follows people around and talks to them while they work out, everytime someone comes in the door he runs up to the door to see who it is, and he just walks around and stares at everyone the whole time it was so weird. I was on family vacation in sarasota and visited this particular gym location, my mom wants to get an anytime fitness membership and asked me to show her my gym and how to use two machines because she was nervous to do it alone. so I brought her to show her. instead of the manager just being normal and coming up to me and talking to me first, he went back to the office, checked the computer, looked at my membership and came back and addressed me by name and condescendingly explained to me that I could not bring a guest in with my membership. i have zero problem with being told I am doing something wrong, but the way in which this man came up to me felt nosy, controlling and aggressive. he could have simply introduced himself, given me the chance to introduce myself, and he could have informed me I was doing something wrong in a respectful way. after doing this he made my mom sign a form which was totally okay but then continued to keep walking over and staring at us and looking at what we were doing. it made me and my mom so uncomfortable we left and now my mom does not want to get an anytime fitness membership which i’ve been trying to get her to do for years and she has gym anxiety and it completely disturbed her from getting any gym membership’s all together. i’ve never been to an anytime fitness where the manager or whoever he was is so nosy and strange. will not be attending this gym location ever again.

Anytime Fitness has been my home gym for several years. The facility is immaculate, efficiently run, with great equipment that Shane keeps in excellent shape. Speaking of Shane, he is receptive to requests, offers interesting incentives to keep us motivated and has a sense of humor. And the gym is open safely 24 hours a day, what more could you ask for?

This is probably my 7th or 8th time using Anytime Fitness on Clark Rd. We come down once a year from Dayton, Ohio and I use the facility for one week. Shane treats me like I’m a regular who comes every day. Great machines and a very clean facility.

More closet space than floor space for stretching. They have signs saying keep 6 ft apart, but all the equipment is so close together. The gym has older clients and the benches are old and heavy, making it hard to move. Male staff/trainer blew off a visitor trying to get a workout. Wouldn't answer door or phone. Positive note gym was clean

Anytime Fitness really is open all of the time. Shane knows fitness and is an excellent source of information. There are so many machines that there is rarely a wait. The bonus is that membership is covered under most Medicare supplement plans.

Accidentally grabbed my dads key fob instead of mine (after coming to this gym using my fob throughout the week) and the owner locked my fob. We are in the process of moving so our keys sometimes get mixed up when switching cars. Tried to go in during staffed hours to get it fixed and the staff can’t help me because it’s the owners choice and he “has his own hours.” I still have an account and pay monthly (like everyone else) but apparently they can’t look my account up. I accidentally grabbed my dads fob by mistake because mistakes do happen. Staff wouldn’t attempt to try to call the owner so I could talk to him or even find out when he was in the gym next, so I drove all the way to be told that I wasn’t allowed to workout. Maybe fix your staffed hours if regular staff can’t help.

UPDATE AFTER THE OWNER REPLIED: I literally went in (stopped by the office) to the anytime fitness and asked for your number (to attempt to call you), in which your staff, told me he couldn't call you. This was on January 11th at 8:00 am. Go ahead and check your security footage. I ACCIDENTALLY grabbed my Dad's key, I didn't plan it out, so how was I supposed to tell you. And I have an account, which could of been looked up. If you're gonna lie, at least be good at it. ;)

Can I just tell you that I LOVE this gym!!! It has everything I need for a challenging, full body work out AND I can work out when it’s convenient for me! I never have to wait for equipment, I never feel like it’s crowded…the members are respectful and considerate. The personal training is stellar and reasonably priced. The owner, Shane, is friendly and supportive of the members and our health and fitness goals.

Shane was so welcoming of my return after going through three kidney surgeries that I really wanted to share. He’s amazing. Every text and phone call was returned promptly and with a fast solution that didn’t waste any time. I love this facility so much. It’s small but that’s exactly what you want during these Covid times we live in. They keep the place clean and have exceptional protocols in place to kill germs and keep us safe while we work out. I’m so grateful to be a member here. I also enjoy the use of the Osprey facility as well but Sarasota is my favorite ad I know Shane will take care of me personally. I’m so glad to be back and alive. Seriously enjoy every minute and especially those around you who provide amazing customer service!

I have worked with Shane, the owner here to get signed up about a month ago. The gym has everything I need to workout and gives me access to workout if I ever travel at other locations. Shane worked with me to make sure my needs were met and I appreciate all he has done. All in all, this has been a great experience and I look forward to working out here for years to come. Used to go to LA fitness, then I found Anytime Fitness a couple months ago & fell in love with the space because it is always clean. It is usually never busy so I get my full workout in without having to wait on equipment. Also, the staff there are awesome, they actually care about their members and make it a point to reach out and say hi. I don’t feel suffocated at anytime fitness like I did with LA. Highly recommend!! Not bad pricing either. & can’t beat 24/7.

Shane is the owner and my trainer. He was referred to me by 2 friends who have been training with him for years. We are older and he takes such great care of us. He started me off slowly, because I was so weak and out of shape. Each visit, he added exercises, increasing my strength and stamina. I never go home hurting, yet I always feel that I had a great workout. He has strengthened my core and as a result, my golf game has improved.
The gym has a wide range of ages and abilities. Everyone is committed to working out and always very friendly. Shane has sanitizer right by the front door with a bright-colored sign for everyone to use the sanitizer as they enter and leave. Almost next door is my chiropractor, Dr. Claire Fadely. It is an awesome hour for me - a chiropractic adjustment to align my spine and then a great 30-minute workout.
I highly recommend Anytime Fitness.

Not really a gym for anyone who wants to train seriously
Their owner doubles as a personal trainer, which is dangerous judging by exercises he makes people do. Hopefully he doesn’t charge for his services
Monthly fee is over $50 a month, which is extremely high for what they have to offer. Fitness CF and LA Fitness are much better alternatives

My husband and I are vacationing here for a week. We spoke with one of the managers Sunday night regarding a temporary membership. He quoted us a price of $10 each for the week, told us he would be there at 10 am on Monday. We drove to the gym on Monday morning only to be told (by the same person) that the membership was going to be $30 each. We reminded him that we just spoke to him on Sunday evening and he quoted us $10. His response was “I talk to a lot of people, I don’t remember “. He was rude and very curt! I would NEVER join this anytime fitness or any other, if this is how they treat potential customers!!

I recently moved to the area from out of town and wanted to try this gym to see if it was a good fit. First off, it’s about the size of a shoebox and hard to find as it’s tucked back in the corner of a plaza. I printed out a pass to try it and after having a member let me in the locked door presented it to the staff. I was told without a Florida drivers license I could not use it and it would be $20. He did mention the $20 would be refunded if I signed up for a membership. How am I supposed to decide where I want to join without trying? The guy was beyond rude and really didn’t seem too worried he missed a potential membership. After seeing the gym, I wouldn’t have joined as it’s tiny but the customer service was also horrific.

This gym is quite the gem. It is perfect for those that like a smaller gym atmosphere. I love the fact that it is open 24/7, the staff are so friendly and helpful (they don't try to sell you stuff while you're trying to work out).

They have a great selection of cardio and weights as well as a stretching area.

The bathrooms are single person unisex and add a nice touch of privacy for a quick after workout shower.

This is a great gym if you need flexibility, convenience, friendly faces, and a motivating atmosphere. It is open 24/7 so, no excuses!

I did a free 7 day trial and the gym was ok since they don't have all the workout equipment that I'm looking for. Then my free trial was over and decided to sign up until I found out what they were charging which was a joke. $65 one time fee for the Key fob, which is probably worth 10 cents, 32 dollars for some other stupid fee and $45 a month with an 18 month contract. What gyms does contracts these days, non that I know of. All I gotta say, I wasn't surprised at all since the gym is always empty. They need to get it together with all the outrageous fees. I just signed up with crunch Gym and they charged me $10 a month with no contract and no extra fees. The gym is way bigger and better with a wayyyy better price. What a joke anytime fitness is. Please folks go elsewhere and don't waste your time.

Gym us small and open 24hrs which is very nice. Not staffed on evenings and weekends which leads to occasional cleanliness issues. Wifi works..barely. You can check email but forget about streaming video while on ellipticals. Same with tv's.

I love Anytime Fitness. My experience in Walled Lake, MI was great, and the Clark Rd., Sarasota location has continued it. The layout, staff, and members are #1 in my book.

I have had a minor problem (glitch) in getting my membership to expire on the correct date (12/25/16), but I know it is in process.

I have already mentioned Anytime Fitness to some of my Florida friends.

Anytime Fitness is under new ownership as of August 14th, 2012. Owner is on site and the gym is looks amazing. The place is super clean and the equipment is like new. If you need a gym to workout that is super convenient and open 24 hours a day, then this place is for you! Go check it out!
