I’ve never been a member of Anytime Fitness, so I wasn’t sure how they operated. I did some research online and found some reviews (both negative and positive) and general info, so I decided to check them out. A couple of days ago, I tried calling multiple times—no answer. I figured I’d go in person, but when I showed up around 10 a.m., no one answered the door.

Still willing to give them a chance as there's nothing else around, I scheduled a tour yesterday for 10:30 a.m. today, it was confirmed with someone named Hannah. I arrived early at 10:25 and waited by the front door. 10:30 came and went—no one showed up. I waited another 5 minutes. Still nothing. I called twice, no answer. I replied to their confirmation email saying I was there—no response. I even sent a text—again, no response.

At this point, I was beyond frustrated. What’s the point of scheduling a visit if no one’s going to be there or even communicate? It felt like my time meant nothing to them.

If you’re thinking about joining Anytime Fitness, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Your time and money deserve better. Anytime Fitness is a complete waste of time!

Edit to add: The owner emailed me after seeing my review and apologized, explaining that it was his fault for not being aware of the appointment. He offered to have me come back, but I declined. I give him kudos for taking the time to email me and take responsibility for the miscommunication.

Thought about getting a membership, as The gym itself is clean and fine, as is the employees even though they remain understaffed they do as much as they can, so they get 5 stars. And everything I say will be as a someone who loves going to the gym, and has been to Golds, Epic, EoS, Anytime and whatever else you can think of.

The culture of the people who go to this club, is what’s bad not the workers. When I was there several gym goers were unfriendly or stand offish, and seemed cliquish and frankly just childish. Reading other reviews, and considering who I saw there, the people complaining are old and do nothing but sit around on their phones anyway wasting machine or cardio space and leave messes then proceed to complain about it. Maybe be a good person and wipe a machine down when you’re done using it and clean your own sweat, be a grown adult and flush after yourself in the restroom. The employees are not your servants and have other things to do like schedule/reschedule appointments, try to reach clients and train clients who pay for that service.

And if things are that bad, the owner needs to step up and either show up themselves, or hire a second person to lighten the load. That way gaps can be covered.

I have been a member for over 3 years and recently I have been disgusted with the cleanliness of this gym. To add insult to injury I was recently charged the bi annual “enhancement” fee only to discover piles of dead worms scattered about the gym. (Images attached). The leg extension machine was broken for over 2 months and without exaggeration the place has not been vacuumed in months as is evident by the same torn bits of tissue hiding under the dumbbell rack for weeks on end. Routinely there are no cleaning cloths available and the garbage cans are overflowing. This gym is not cheap and should be maintained to at least a reasonable standard of cleanliness and repair. Sadly it is far from it at this point.

I have never seen this gym dirty until recently. The treadmills are so dusty and sweat all over them while the worker is on her cell phone instead of cleaning. I have always loved this gym because it was always clean. Sorry not no more.

Got banned after 3 days for laying down on a futon for 2 hours after my workout and eating inside when I’ve seen people eat there all the time, is it because of what I’m wearing or how I look? I ask because this is disgusting and they will be hearing from my lawyer very soon for a discrimination case unless I’m refunded my membership. Absolutely ridiculous behavior

Been trying to join this gym for the past 2 weeks. I went on a Saturday and learned they only have staff Monday - Friday. Found time on Friday to go and they apparently close at 1 on Fridays. Scheduled an appointment to come in the following Monday and they just cancelled on me because they didn’t have any staff. The whole point in me trying to join Anytime Fitness is so that I can go “anytime”. But they don’t make it convenient for people to get a membership who work a normal 9-5.

Don’t waste your time, go somewhere else. You can just tell the type of customer service you get here. Just read the immature, rude and poor grammar responses that have been answered to other customers reviews. My husband and I tried to sign up. They keep the doors lock so when you try to sign up you can’t, I stood at the door calling and knocking non stop for 20 minutes. No one answered the door or answered the phone at 10 am. I came back a little later, the door was still locked and no one answered the phone. After another 10 min goes by, Cindi opens the door. With a smug look on her face Says yeah, can I help you? I told her we wanted to sign up. She said she was training a customer, she would be done in 15 min. She asked if we wanted to wait or come back. We said we will just come back. She said okay and we left. We thought to be nice and give her a few minutes after the 15 mins so she could have a small break between helping people. So we returned within 20 mins. Again I sat at the door knocking and calling. 10 minutes later Cindi comes to the door and again with her smug attitude goes “oh I have another client to train.” Now when we said we would come back, why didn’t she say, “okay make sure your back in 15 minutes because I have another client shortly after”…? Common sense, right? Anyway, I told her that this is poor customer service she gave me a shocked diva look on her face and said excuse me? Lol and this chick is a “manager”! I said to her you don’t do this to people this is horrible customer service, I won’t be back. In the middle of me talking, she turns around WALKS AWAY and says “ sorry to hear that, have a nice day.” I’d love to know how she got her job there and also how she is still a manager there! I run my own business, I’m also probably half her age and even I know this is poor behavior for a manager. Clearly the people here are uneducated and rude. Go somewhere where they treat you respectfully and are educated. Cindi seriously needs to be fired. Please don’t waste your time. At least go to a different anytime fitness location.

I never been to this gym or signed a contract but they're saying somebody else sign my name and that's okay because I know about the account and I owe the money even though I never been there and it's not my signature or my initials on the contract. This place is nasty rude. I can't stand the people that work their answer the phone. They are so unprofessional. These people are atrocious and then atrocity to human beings everywhere. I would not go to this place if it was the last gym on planet Earth and they were giving away gold.

In town visiting family and called to inquire about a day pass to workout. Took 6 phone calls to get someone to answer. The woman that answered was less than cordial and told me I could not pay for a day pass to workout and that I was only a welcome in if I had “intentions of joining” even though this is directly off their website…

POOR Customer Service! Do not sign up for automatic withdrawals from your bank account! After being a member for over 2 years, they raised the membership fee without notifying or getting authorization. Supposedly they sent a post card notifying members of the increase, but I do not recall receiving one. I cancelled my son’s and my membership on Oct 3rd, after the price increase, and after they charged an additional $26 each for building and equipment yearly fee. Don’t recall ever paying this fee before. Today there is another monthly transaction coming out for the membership that I cancelled earlier this month. When I called to dispute, I was told that the cancellation fell within 30 days of the next billing cycle and that they couldn’t do anything about it because a third party handles financial transactions. So, no matter when you cancel, it will always fall within the next 30 day cycle and they are going to charge you even though you cancelled and aren’t using the gym any longer. Nice facility, just don’t get lured into automatic payments and beware of the customer service.

This gym is an amazing gem in Weeki Wachee! The manager is wonderful and so friendly. The gym itself is extremely well-equipped, well-spaced out, and CLEAN. It's so impressive! Overall, a fantastic experience! Great variety of exercise equipment, and very clean and spacious. The owner, Jeff, is very responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. This gym is clean and the people who run it are caring and knowledgeable about fitness. Besides the usual advice you get, they also care if you need outside advice or help on home utilities. I was having issues with a water filtration provider who was trying to scam me, and Tyler helped me find an honest provider. All I had said was that I was stressed and he stepped in to help me fix a problem. This gym is a real good one to belong to.

I am a videographer that was hired to shoot some instructional videos for the Gym. I honestly was shocked at the quality and size of this anytime. It also became obvious through our instructional shoot, that Tyler knew what he was talking about, as there was no script, but just right from the heart and brain a wealth of knowledge of tips and tricks using the equipment at his facility... an owner that goes out of his way to make sure his clients are still informed even when he physically cant be there (video) is a smart owner, business man, and all around person I like to be around.

A few months ago my husband and I joined Anytime Fitness. We were excited to see one open so close to home! The facility is extremely clean and never too crowded. Unfortunately, we didn't use the facility as much as we would have liked, so we cancelled. Last week we decided to join again, so I reached out on Facebook messenger to see what we needed to do. Tyler responded super fast and made the whole process very easy. Once I signed up through our health insurance, I let him know and he was able to reactivate our accounts without us having to come in. This was extremely helpful due to our work schedules. Thank you Tyler for all your help! We are happy to be back!

I have been to 5 other anytime Fitness locations in the hernando county area and this location deserves everyone of these 5 stars. The staff is super friendly and informative. The equipment is pheomenal and the gym is ALWAYS clean!!! It's a great place to work out. They have all new modern equipment. It is open 24 hours and if you come in during staffed hours there are people who will help you and answer any questions you may have about the equipment. The restrooms and showers are clean and we'll kept. They also have some group exercise programs. It's a great workout gym 👌👍

Let me say this, there are 3 other anytime fitness locations within 5 minutes of my house but I choose to make the drive to this one because the vibe is just over all different and more positive. Tyler is by far one of the most engaging owners I've ever met from a gym. I go to this gym at least 3 times a week to do zumba classes and their new personal training classes and the support I get every day is just phenomenal. Most recently Tyler has been instructing the classes himself because he has been left without trainers and the dedication in that is just inspiring. Out of all the people I've met in gyms, he's the only one I've seen take interest in his customers and makes them want to come back!!! Not to mention how spacious the entire place is and the updated technology in the machines!! With all the support and encouragement of this place, I signed up for my first 5k event!!! Anytime Fitness is an extremely great workout facility. The owner is a gentlemen named Tyler. Anytime Fitness in Weeki Wachee is a fully equipped, non- judgemental gym. My wife and I are members and wouldn't think of going any place else. Tyler and his staff are helpful, approachable professionals. I recently had a consultation with David, one of Tyler's trainers. The staff at this facility are head and tails above the rest. I've found that the staff at a gym makes all the difference in the world when you work out. Unlike some other gyms who hire lots of employees who don't even work out, the employees at this location can answer any questions regarding correct usage of machines. I get the feeling that they are there to help me achieve my goals to become a healthier individual. Kudos to the staff.
