Balance is one of my favorite LGS’ in Tampa Bay. Staff are friendly and efficient and the space is comfortable and clean.

And the prices are very fair in my opinion. Those complaining that they are scalpers don’t understand how this industry works. Does Walmart, Amazon and TCGplayer provide you a free space to play games and be part of a community? Do they host events? Do they take the time to teach new players how to play? That is the value your local LGS provides. If you can’t see that then you’re truly better off supporting the
multi-billion dollar corporations that don’t care about you.

How this place has a 4.9 star rating is beyond me.

They. Are. Scalpers.

7$ for modern set packs (bloomburrow)
6$ and up for packs that came out in the last 2 years and aren't even some hot commodity

It's pathetic when a lgs has worse prices than Walmart and target and I should just go there or order single packs online. (Every pack they had listed was cheaper in online stores).

They are REALLY trying to squeeze those profit margins and just hurt the community.

I bet they are charging 70$+ for the squirreled away precon bloomburrow deck because "that's market price on tcgplayer". I was too appalled by the booster prices to even ask what they had other products at.

The workers the few times I've stepped into the place are often lazy and sitting somewhere. And when they have helped they obnoxiously drink excessively loud when trying to communicate with them and seem bothered that I came in to look at their stuff.

Don't waste your time or money here, and definitely don't believe the 4 star and up reviews. This place is pathetic and needs to rethink what it means to be an lgs. They are supposed to be for the community, they are supposed to care about the community.

Very clean and professional atmosphere. Extremely kind and generous store owner who helps build on community. Supportive of local charities. Has been a staple in the Tampa Bay Community on several levels including training 100s combat stages show performers who spurred on combat shows over 3 decades of linage. These individuals went on to teach other professionals across the state. Some you may have even seen in local and national productions. I cannot speak highly enough of the individual managing and teaching at this location.

went there and got to talk to the owner and he’s such an amazing guy, i got the chance to kinda just talk and joke around about d&d and magic and the current state of everything and he overall was just super chill and i HEAVILY recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun card shop, play space or even a very enjoyable place for tabletop stuff

Female nerd perspective and acquaintance of Seth and Stavro! I absolutely love being at balance. Atmosphere is so laid back and
friendly. They display/sell a lot of different products and the floor space in the store is so open and huge. Board game tables: separate rooms, couch with a tv for lounging and a martial arts studio. In terms of hygiene and keeping all spaces clean ; they definitely knock it out the park. Seeing a clean women’s restroom wins me over easily…I feel so comfortable every time I’m here. It has grown to be our favorite LGS and I’ll always support going there!

If you are looking for a challenge or a motivator to work on your physical and mental wellbeing, Balance may be for you. The instructors are knowledgeable, welcoming, and in-tune with the ranging abilities of their students. The facilities are great and the cost is very reasonable.

If you feel compelled to learn martial arts, but keep finding reasons to put it off...just try this place. It was a leap for me, but I am so glad I took it.

Been going to Balance for nearly 2 years now and it's truly a unique treasure in town. The karate dojo is awesome and the welcoming atmosphere, complete with entertainment lounge and gaming tables to spare, makes it a no brainer for gaming. The staff has been more than accommodating and tries to give their customers what they want above all. Their board game wall of free to play games is enough to supply hours of fun. And if you're there at the right time and want an extra player, the owner might even stop to join your game if you asked. They survived a pandemic and always keep their space clean and safe. If you are a fan of martial arts and/or gaming, do yourself a favor and stop by. Supply your hobby by supporting a local business.

This establishment is nothing short of a unicorn on the gaming side. Wonderful, kind and knowledgeable staff that are interested in the wares they peddle and engages with their clientele. An open environment that is accepting of all who wish to use the space for it's intended purpose; play. The space itself is bedecked with high quality tables meant for what you come here to do, not the mass manufactured garbage tier Home Depot folding tables found at the majority of it's competition in the area. The only knock against it is more of a nitpick, and is a symptom of their recent arrival on the scene: the limited selection of singles available for perusal. This has been slowly falling away as business continues and more cards pass through. Great place to play Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Yu-gi-oh, Warhammer, or any conceivable board game under the sun.

Balance Martial Arts and Games is an amazingly unique store with a little something for everyone. As a gamer, I absolutely love the beautiful gaming tables in all different sizes that make for a perfect gaming play space no matter how big or small the game you're playing. The owner and staff always make me feel welcome and regularly will play games when me while I'm there. They also have a area to lounge and watch TV, a study room, and a workout area. You absolutely must come check this place out!

A great place to hang out!
The store is uniquely split into two concepts of gaming and karate. On the gaming side, instead of the typical plastics tables and chairs Balance integrates professional wooden gaming tables with matching chairs. The staff does a wonderful job at making sure everyone feels welcome. While the karate side is a huge workout space covered in puzzle mat. The classes are structured and tailored to the needs of each student. I was surprised by how dedicated each instructor is they always managed to engage each student and encourage them to keep getting better. I would highly recommend Balance to anyone that needs a fun space to hang out or relieve some stress.
