I go to Balcony about 3/4 per week twice a day sometimes all has been well. Just one time had one of the staff charge me a but higher price than the person infront of me and then I sent my host kid in to buy something for her few minutes after and the same thing happend...(I'm a nanny)

My daughter was on the wait list for about 6-7 months (we put her on before she turned 18 months as advised because of the wait). Today was her first day and she loved it! My only concern is that she is nearly 2 now (2 months out) and I’m afraid she will have already aged out of the class before hardly starting it. Everyone seemed very nice staff wise, and others attending the class as well!

We signed my 4 years old daughter up for holiday camp, which she was very excited to attend. After the first day of trying the camp, my daughter came home upset, saying, "Please don't make me go back! I have never seen my daughter being upset over any activities she did! She has just successfully finished the swim program and, prior to that, attended dance where she performed at a recital! Never ever an issue! The Balcony director told my wife that my 4 years old didn't want to participate and didn't listen! She then talked to another child who is 5 y.o. referring to him as "immature"! They expected 4-5 years olds to participate in the activities with older kids! My daughter said the activities were confusing to her, and there was little help from her trainers! It is obvious that the staff and the director are not professional at what they do! It is easier to blame little kids who can't advocate for themselves rather than to educate your staff!

We were excited to sign up for holiday camp this week, but after trying today we will never be back here! My 4.5 years old daughter went home upset and nearly crying saying she doesn’t want to go back! When I spoke to the director before enrolling I was told my daughter will be placed with her age and that the activities are tailored to their age! Today the director told me they had to combine little ones with the big kids and my daughter didn’t do well with the activities. When I asked my daughter she told me she was confused with the activities and that the coaches were frustrated with her! My daughter usually doesn’t have a problem following instructions and she loves to participate and try something new. She has experience with dance, gymnastics, swimming, and goes to school full time! In fact, I teach activity classes myself and she has never had any problems following directions with me or her other teachers! It is obvious to me that this place is not equipped in dealing with young ones! We will definitely look elsewhere for quality classes and professional personal

I have young kids and Coach Ari is patient and talented at working with children. She’s so good with them. We drive an hour each way to go these classes. 100% worth it. My kids learn a lot and have fun.

We attended a birthday party at Balcony Sports. My 4 year old loved running around playing on the tramp, foam pit and large mats. They had steps in the bathroom so she can reach. And the little party room was perfect. The staff decorated, cut the cake and cleaned everything up. My daughter didn’t want to leave. They even had an awesome playground out front. My daughter has told me several times she wants to come back.

My daughter started in Balcony three years ago. She had amazing coaches that help her to develop discipline and of course gymnastics. She also attended to summer camp and no school camp. All councelors are nice and she loves to go to Balcony. I want to thank Stacy (she is at the front) for always help me and answering all my questions. And a huge THANKS to coach Carly, there are no words that can describe how thankful I am, thanks for teaching my daughter, thanks for encouraged her on every class, you have a gift and you are amazing. Wishing you the best in your new journey.
Claudia and Ari.

My child has almost been hit in the parking lot here by people who run this business. The teachers do a good job with the children but the leadership does not respect their customers.

This place is a laughing stock. I went in off the street w/ 0 experience, other than what I had learned on YouTube, and was able to correct their instructions. Horrible please don’t waste your time .

I'd like to start out by saying: We love balcony.
The cons: They are pretty disorganized. I'm never sure what my child needs order to advance to the next level-and sometimes it's hard to get a straight answer to my questions about this. Also, they are always rotating coaches. You never know when your child's coach will disappear and be replaced. For a while I tried to manuver my child into classes with coaches I thought would motivate her the most-but there's no telling whether a coach will stay or go. This could be easily remedied by a good manager to really put things in order.
The Pros: They are really friendly. The coaches are young, but they seem to know their stuff pretty well-at least for the beginner level classes. The people at the desk are really helpful and try their best to help you out. (Especially Stacey and Kris) We love coach Louie! He's a yeller, but you can tell he genuinely likes each child. He really gets the most out of the kids-they want to work hard for him. The team coaches sometimes take time to talk to and teach the lower level students. I think that's nice and shows that they aren't snobby about "The Team."
We love Balcony, and hope to have a great relationship with the business for years to come.

My daughter has been attending Balcony for 7 years. Unfortunately, the previous reviews do not provide an objective viewpoint of the facility and staff, but rather jaded opinions. When involved with any sport, parents are required to pay booster fees and other sport related costs, including a small portion of coaching stipends. The fees that our family has encountered are competitive with other gyms in the area and are also comparable to fees associated with other sports.

To address two of the reviews- not ALL of the coaches are teenagers, nor do all of them spend their time yelling at the kids. Each coach has their own training style which sometimes does include being firm with the kids or raising their voice to accommodate for the noise that others are making. Many of the coaches are very well trained and current or former athletes/gymnasts themselves. Although I will not speak of this coach's name publicly- there is one coach there who all of the girls respect and admire, who has been there longer than my daughter has and is the fittest woman that I know. She has accompanied my daughter to competitions many times and even if her competition was at the end of the day, this coach was encouraging and enthusiastic as ever!
