Garrett is an amazing trainer! I came with my share of complications. In the time he has been training me I’ve had 2 procedures, a surgery and had already been dealing with back problems from doing CrossFit years ago that still causes me a lot of problems. Garrett is amazing!!!!!!!! I started with him honestly because of my sister. If anyone can train her I figured they had to be top notch! She went from actively rebelling against and questioning him to losing over 35 pounds and being the highest female dead lifter at the gym at one point. I am NOT self driven and tend to get lost and demotivated quickly. But with Garrett, he doesn’t let you get distracted and is so knowledgeable that the time passes before you realize it. Garrett is an amazing trainer. I have multiple injuries and Lyme Disease, which means I can be very tricky to work with when it comes to work outs. However, Garrett is not only knowledgeable but he’s also constantly researching and learning. He’s a great listener and observer. He’s gentle and knows just how much to push you toward your goals without further injury. He has helped me reach some goals I struggled to reach on my own. I was recently training for a competition and with his help I was able to strengthen the right muscles to prevent me from falling which was a big fear for me. Garrett is awesome! I started training with him a little over a year and a half ago. At that time, I waspretty overweight, sluggish, and barely surviving workouts three times per week. We took it slow. Eventually I got stronger and increased my endurance.
Garrett definitely wants you to win. It's important to him that his clients are getting the most out of each session. He's not afraid to research new ways to challenge me or to get more knowledgeable. He's gotten me to train in ways I never thought possible.
Flash forward to now, I've lost several pounds of body fat, stacked on a lot of muscle, and have become unbelievably strong.
We're more than just a trainer and client these days. He's now a really good friend. We have fun challenging each other to make our workouts better. I'm excited see how awesome my results will be this year.

Garrett is an awesome trainer who motivates you without demeaning you or making you feel like a failure. When discussing times that you missed goals or are fell off the food wagon, he is straight forward and does not hide the fact that you need to do better, but he delivers the message in a non-judgmental, and non-belittling way.

He pro-actively reaches out to keep communication up and give support. As a night-shift, emergency worker, Garrett was more than supportive and accommodating with my very unusual hours and shifting schedule.

There are many people to advertise themselves as being Trainers, but few who hold the skillset, dedication and commitment to their clients as does Garrett. Beginning of the year, I had a hard conversation with my 23 year old son about his health and weight. He had reached 333 pounds. My heart was breaking. Over the years, he tried working out, personal trainers and various meal plans but never really stuck to any plan of action.

My training sessions with Garret are the most efficient/intense (by far) I've ever had in years. If you want to achieve, accomplish and maintain your fitness/health/image goals, know that you will need to put in the work! Garrett was the first and only trainer I ever had. As we met for workouts, he went through exercises and schedules with me, always giving my body something new and teaching me the principles behind everything we did. Garrett is a fantastic personal trainer and I would recommend him to anyone no matter what their fitness level is. My husband was his client and when I was unhappy with the trainer I was with, Hubby suggested I take one of his training sessions to see if a different trainer made a difference. I was hesitant because I am uncomfortable around most men and thought it would be better to stay with a woman trainer even though her style didn't fit my needs. Thankfully i eventually did switch to Garrett and before the first session ended I was 100% comfortable with him. He's a genuinely sweet person who is really great at his job and has a real passion for it.
A major struggle for me is self motivation. Working out 5 minutes on my own felt like pushing a boulder up a hill for eternity. My sessions with Garrett flew by- even though he was leading me in a challenging workout his energy kept me moving. He explains the workouts very well and encouraged me to try things that I otherwise would have been embarrassed to attempt in front of someone else (pushups). if you need a trainer to walk you through everything he's the one. If you need one to help you through whatever random stuff you feel like doing that session he's the one, and if you need someone to be rigid and keep you on point he's the one for that too.

Not only is he an incredible trainer but I have been lucky enough to become friends with him over the past 3 years. He knows how to push and inspire you to get past mental blocks. He will help you hit your goals and set new ones that you may not have imagined for yourself. He works to adjust with your schedule and to help make you your best self. I've had several scheduling things, and a couple injuries from traveling adventures, where I was out of the gym and had undone some of the work--and he helped get me back in the gym and back in shape with only a little bit of fake guilt-tripping :)--but in all honesty, he was great working around conflicts and strengthening injuries. I'm sure he is excellent with the superhero, super muscle, and weightlifting stuff as he competes himself as well. However, he has been incredible in helping with my muscle definition and getting in shape in general. He is also great about checking in on your whole health not just your workout status. It's 2020, Garrett will help you stick to your resolution.

I started working out with Garrett about a year and a half ago. I was an active person and didn't think I needed a personal trainer. I struggled with my balance a little bit because I had a brain tumor removed from the part of my brain that controls balance but I had mostly recovered. Some things affected my balance more than other things and I thought I was content to do the things I was comfortable with and avoid the things I wasn't sure about. My wife was a client with Garrett and she told him about me and he thought he could help me improve my balance more. I decided to start personal training and I have had nothing but great results. He's not just a personal trainer but a friend. He takes the time to know you personally and to understand you and your goals. Since I started, I have gained muscle and am a lot stronger and my balance and coordination has improved too, but most importantly my confidence has improved. Would highly recommend.

If you want to see results Garrett is the best. I started working out with him a couple years ago. I had been telling myself I wanted to go to the gym but hadn't made the commitment. He helped me make and reach new goals despite obstacles I have had like my job (I'm a nurse and I work weird hours). He isn't just an awesome trainer, he is an awesome friend. He gets to know you and is there on a friend level too....He now works with my Husband too and the changes I've seen in him are amazing. My husband had ataxia and balance issues that made him nervous working with weights. Garrett listened to his concern and patiently pushed him to challenge himself. Now my husband is hitting new PRs every other week or so. My husband and I are moving to Ohio soon and I doubt we will find someone like Garrett. Seriously, he is awesome.

In the 15 months that I’ve been working out with Garrett at Bodies By Garrett, I’ve seen more progress than I thought possible. I’ve had substantial gains in strength, endurance, recovery time, and overall energy level. I started with Garrett approximately a year plus ago, I was 265lbs and honestly I did not think I was going to see results since ive done this before and never really committed due to a lack of motivation. But, this man changed my attitude completely. He pushed me to my limits and past that. I did not know I had the strength and the stamina to finish my sets, but Garrett pushed me and it made me see that I can actually go above and beyond my limit and that made me super excited. Talk about a knowledgeable trainer. I was lost when it came to working out and knew i needed help and I could not be more happy with Garrett. He explained everything very well and helped me build a solid foundation.
