Since I deal with osteo and inflammatory arthritis it was getting difficult to move around easily and I knew Tai Chi was the best for arthritis. I started taking Tai Chi at the Pinecrest studio in July and LOVE the instructor, class variety and the smaller studio. Taking classes three days a week has made a huge difference on how I feel physically and mentally and I will keeping doing Tai Chi at Body & Brain Pinecrest location. They take the time to get to know you and what your needs are while making the classes fun. Definitely recommend Body & Brain Tai Chi!

This is a wonderful studio in the Kendall/Pinecrest area for anyone wanting a supportive, calming environment to work on both physical and mental wellness. I have to say that I regret not having started Tai Chi Qigong much earlier! It is a program that provided me energy, vitality, balance and focus in very few classes. My teacher is amazing,! I came to Body and Brain Pinecrest looking for a yoga class for my mom but found much more than that. We have been coming regularly to classes for the last two months and we love it. Our instructor is wonderful and every time we leave the class we feel so grateful to experience such energy and peace.

I started going to yoga class at Pinecrest in April of this year(2024) , my initial goal was to just be more flexible and lose weight; not only did I become more flexible ( I can finally touch my toes!) and lose weight ( lost an additional 30 lbs!) but my core strength has gotten insanely better and so has my mental strength! At first I started by just going to two classes a week and now I go everyday, my energy level is much higher now and so is my positivity ( they remind you to smile while you’re doing class) I am very grateful to the instructors ( Dariana in particular!) for always encouraging me to keep going and to try harder exercises and to find my inner self! I definitely recommend doing these yoga and tai chi classes if you want to better yourself and your health in a positive way.

I was recommended by my chiropractor to take yoga class to help loosen up my really tight joints. Body & Brain Yoga is, therefore, my first ever yoga experience. The classes are very moderate and not as extreme as I imagined. The classes is pretty beginner friendly and anyone is welcome. I come to Pinecrest center when I’m not able to go to the other Body and Brain Yoga I usually go to. The ambiance here is very cozy ! Dariana, the main instructor makes you feel very safe with her teaching style and is always willing to listen how she can help you more. I gravitated to this place the moment I saw it and casually walked in the middle of the day to just get more information. Dariana explained everything to me and made me feel extremely comfortable! I signed up right then and got offered a private introductory session!

This isn’t your ordinary Yoga Studio! This takes it one step further and teaches you about chakras, meditation, and much more. The students are all extremely nice and helpful with each other. No one judges and the energy is always positive! After class you’re invited to drink tea and share your experience with those who stayed. I started about 1 month ago in virtual classes and I have obtained a great improvement in health. For 3 years my health declined a lot, I had a severe autoimmune condition that led me to not be able to perform even the most basic daily activities. When my treatment began to give me the opportunity to move better, although in pain, I decided to enroll in these classes, it has been wonderful to see how my mobility improves and the pains decrease amazingly, I recommend all people to enroll in these classes. The benefits to your body and brain are unbelievable. The approaches that are used are much more beneficial than just offering classes. The mind component, is often times overlooked and underestimated In the traditional ways of exercise. However, the courses offer a subtle, but effective way to be part of a community with others, and yes with yourself. Unlike traditional yoga, which requires a lot of strength when you hold poses, the combination of the three Eastern philosophies used here offer, a mildly challenging workout session without the physical requirements of yoga. I have found that my legs are stronger, my flexibility has increased dramatically, my balance has improved and my overall mood is in a much better place.

Our master instructor, Dariana, is just so terrific. She makes everyone feel welcome, is always enthusiastic, is encouraging beyond belief, and never guilts anybody if they can’t do a posture, I couldn’t recommend her and this entire experience higher, I would encourage you to give it a trial.

There is no known reason a person recovers from the inflammatory disorder called colitis. This condition slowly robs you of nutrients and thus, energy.

I developed this condition after I came home from an overseas trip to Italy. I couldn't maintain my otherwise healthy diet.

When I came back I spent a few months trying to get back to my normal sense of self. And while I have always struggled with other physical ailments, my stomach began crying out for help. I was in pain.

I took multiple tests and they found my condition of collitis.

Many years ago, I signed up for classes at Body & Brain Yoga and Tai Chi. I moved to another area where they did not have a center to attend. I went on the Internet to find an old stomach remedy they used to use, Hamcho (a Korean plant). I was unable to find it, but I did find that some centers were offering virtual classes.

I knew it was my last chance and Master Darianna from the Pinecrest Center in Miami helped me to get started.

The virtual lessons were painful in the beginning, particularly the intestinal exercises. But, I kept tapping and doing the intestinal exercises throughout the day, sometimes, 1,000 reps.

Three months later, I had my colonoscopy, and there was no trace of colitis. A slight bit of diverticulosis, but that stopped bothering me about a month ago. My parrot is a nut addict, so now, I join her in a nut or two for protein as well.

Subsequently, I went to the podiatrist, who told me there was no way I could remedy the slight neuropathy in my foot, and he could not find any trace of it either. I had stopped walking. I walked about two miles today.

Both doctors couldn't understand my recovery. They said it went against scientific explanations.

I started taking classes at Body and Brain 6 weeks ago. At first, I signed up for their 3 months program, however, after noticing deep positive changes within, in different areas, I requested to upgrade towards a full year.
It’s not your traditional Yoga or Tai Chi, it’s more, and you start feeling a better version of yourself directly proportional to how much effort you put into it.
Having been a Kung Fu student in my past, I do value how great Body and Brain is in strengthening your core, (your lower plexus), improving your inner strength, what I believe is your Chi energy.
To my surprise, I found myself weak in that area, regardless of my exercise routines at the gym, or my attempts to fortify it on my own. That was quite an awakening.
It’s exactly having a coach that constantly work with you for your overall improvement.
Dariana, the lady in charge of the Pinecrest center, is well trained and cares about all the people she coaches, and has been a practitioner for a long time. You couldn’t be in better hands.
Even if you were my own brother or sister, I would tell you: practice for at least a month, consistently, then, look me over, and we’ll go for coffee or tea, and share experiences.
It’s the best investment I have done for myself!

They provides a lot more than yoga. They offer tai chi and private sessions. Most importantly, in my point of view, were the workshops. They really provide the bulk of the mental stimulation that really provides a deeper understanding to everything that is taught. This place is very much like a cult, if not one exactly. They will “love bomb” you with kindness when you start and then try to get you to purchase every workshop and class possible (this is in addition to paying for classes and memberships. Please be careful or you can be out a lot of money and time. The longer I stayed with the practice the more uncomfortable I felt and noticed how many things were off. Do not let them guilt you either with things like “it will be good for your soul and to heal the world” and “you need healing, you can borrow the money somehow”. Be careful

I contacted the center when I was looking for Tai-Chi classes in the area. I called, left a message and Dariana, called me back. I attended an introductory lesson with her to decide if I was going to sign in for the classes. I was satisfied with what I experienced and signed for a package of 12 Tai-Chi classes. What I like the most is that the classes are not just Tai-Chi but include energy work in general. I always leave the room energized and relaxed.
Dariara, the instructor is amazing; she demonstrates genuine effort on making the class enjoyable for participants of all levels. A friend of mine Oscar recommended me Body and Brain. I joined them in November 2021, I am a regular there, I attend almost every day to their wonderful sessions. I've taken a few workshops. They taught me how to connect to myself, I am so greatful for the wonderful instructors, their love, and support for each one of us. I won't miss a class for anything because that time is for myself. This place is amazing!! I stopped going because of the pandemic. They offered online classes but to me it never compares to going to the studio. Alejandra Nin is an excellent yoga instructor. She is exceptional with children. Our daughter is delighted with her classes. My loving cousin introduced me to Body & Brain Yoga after the death of my husband. I found the classes to be very helpful to get me through each day. I have been practicing Body and Brain Education since May 2020 through a referral and I am soooooo glad that I took the steps to make it a part of my life. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2019 and I was having a lot of joint problems and flare ups. Very simply put I was skeptical at first as I was used to more aggressive exercise through martial arts, but after just a few classes and workshops my life is being transformed without exaggeration. There are many great attributes that are taught, but having played very aggressive sports my whole life and enduring multiple knee surgeries (4), the techniques that I have participated in for just a couple of months have taken away pain specifically in my knees which I have had since I was 18. For 38 years, I just sucked it up and knee braces and managed the pain. I am 56 now, pain free, and haven't used knee braces for over a month! The focus here is on healing the body and the brain through eastern techniques and increasing blood flow. It's hard to explain, you just have to experience it. I strongly recommend trying this if you have a desire to heal yourself. This really works!

Where do I start... I give Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi a five star review for WAKING ME UP. I had lost myself in work, marriage and parenthood, not realizing that if I give up myself all areas of my life will hurt as well. Body & Brain is so much more than exercise; however, I am stronger physically, I have more stamina, I feel energetic and excited most of the day - even on boring days. went in for a introduction class. Let me tell you, this is a place you either commit to long term or don't sign up to at all. Master Alejandra was my instructor. Wow.

I walked in thinking this was going to be like every other yoga experience.... very wrong. If you want to experience something mind blowing, dont be cheap and get the intro class. Then tell me how you feel. 😎

I initially joined Body and Brain about two years ago and completed their true self workshop. The two day workshop changed the way I perceived myself and the world around me. Everything felt more clear and purposeful, and for once I felt a lasting happiness. The trainers all really care and Alex has been there to guide me every step of the way. I couldn’t be more grateful for the classes they teach.

Alex is a great trainer with a great attitude and he really makes the classes a blast to participate in. You always leave the center feeling peaceful by the end and you can almost always come out a little stronger every class, partly due to the great feedback and encouragement given by Alex. If you’re looking to grow spiritually, emotionally, and physically this is a great place to go to! Honestly, any Body & Brain center in Miami is a great place to practice yoga. It’s unlike any other practice due to the great understanding of oneself and growth that can come out of the groundwork that founder Ilchi Lee has made; from passages out of his book “I Decided To Live 120 Years”, which, hold unprecedented wisdom that can truly help each and every one of us to live a purposeful and peaceful life. Not only that..., THE WORKSHOPS THESE GUYS HAVE ARE ON ANOTHER LEVEL; if you go, you can say goodbye to aspects of your life that were holding you back, cuz you’re going to come out a much stronger person in more than just the physical way. I cannot recommend this place any more, this is the place to go to if you’re looking to turn your life around.

I can’t explain how I got to this front door. I can tell you it’s one of the best houses I ever knocked on I have done many weight loss , therapy , colored my hair changed what I thought was wrong. But until 3 weeks ago that I came to try to help one person did I realize this was a place was my missing puzzle piece . Alex Nim is wonderful! The energy and life the center has is unique and precious. I feel without it I cannot continue to discover who I am. I am so hooked I am looking forward to the journey of new discovery for ME! I have had several private sessions with Master Alejandra. She is the most wonderful and inspiring yoga master I have ever met. She is so knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, and encouraging to me. I have been practicing now for 9 months and I can truly share that it’s been a transformational experience. After a month, I had the courage to leave my job and dedicate myself to fulfilling my purpose full time, something I could only dream of doing. After 2 months, I stopped smoking, which had been a 13 year addiction. And since then, every day I feel more confident, connected and grateful for this “center” for it’s a place you go to “center” yourself. The blend of disciplines, from yoga to tai chi, truly trains your mind and body that you begin to power with your soul. Being an advocate for self development and self growth, I’ve taken many workshops and read many books, but this practice helps you feel and actually experience wisdom and I highly recommend it to any one who is open and willing to evolve. It’s helped me to connect the dots of information to actual understanding thru experience, connect with others more authentically and with myself more deeply. I’m learning and awakening every day to my true self and hope that by sharing others will also.

Amazingness!!! Being an experienced Yogi, I came to Body & Brain for yoga and got a whole lot more - a closer connection to my body, my breath, and a better awareness of my mind; not to mention the fun, unique, and often times challenging exercises they lead us through. I wrote this because I really want to share my experience since joining Body and Brain at Pinecrest Center 9 months ago. I am a cancer survivor! However after my last chemotherapy I developed nerve damage and joint pain. I used to be so flexible and strong, then I couldn’t even bend my toes or cross my legs when I sat down on the floor. Even though I practiced yoga for 13 years, I could no longer do what I enjoyed.
I decided to join Body and Brian because it is close to my house and I just wanted to get back to practicing yoga again. That was my original goal. After I joined the morning classes, I felt that Body and Brian is not only yoga, but also it is a brain education. I read the book by Ilchi Lee (the founder Body and Brain) called “I’ve Decide TO LIVE 120 YEARS”. The 3 powers are the main keys; physical power, heart power and brain power. I had an awakening! I worked really hard at all the workshops and some workshops I did more than once. I went to Sedona Arizona for Brain Management Training and decide to go again for Dahn Master this November. My body got stronger and my flexibility came back. I can cross my legs when I sit down on the floor. I can breathe deeper. I can bow 49 times every day. Amazingly my knee, feet and shoulder pain has disappeared. I learned how to feel and listen to my body. I am able to connect to my soul which is a gateway to find my true self. I found peace inside my heart and better able to connect to myself. At this moment, my complexion has improved, and my body feels lighter. My energy has increased. I focus more on feeling than thinking. I feel grateful with everything around me. And certainly, I’ve decide to live 120 years as well.
Thank you Body and Brain at Pinecrest Center for your hard work and dedication. You guys always make sure that all the members receive all the benefit from practicing. Lastly thank you for making our earth peaceful place.
