THEY ARE TEMPORARILY/PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Went there this morning and they were gone. I spoke with the shop downstairs and he stated they packed up and left with no new location and no notification. There was no notice, google says they are currently open which they’re not. They charged my card as well and sent reminders.

Sometimes life deals us a lot and we need a change. For me and my personal journey that start came at the Boxing Yard. Jacksonville has a pulse and the Boxing Yard helps provide the beat. They gave me life skills I never had and showed me I COULD. It is hard work and you have to put in effort, but when you leave you will have a renewed feeling of you CAN. If you need a change, a good workout, or some strength, go visit the Boxing Yard for one of their classes, you will be glad you did. Things to note when you go... take a large bottle of water; gloves are provided; eat a balanced meal with some carbs a couple hours before; hydrate through your day and be willing to work hard. Classes are in the evenings and Saturday mornings with more training options on the website. The vibe of the gym is awesome and has a Rocky feel. So don't be shy and glove up and get moving!

I thought I was fit, until Hector got a hold of me. Very intense, but incredibly rewarding. Be prepared to sweat, hurt and gasp for breath. And everyone is incredibly encouraging and friendly.

Attended the boxing yard 2 years ago. Was surprised to find they were billing me monthly for a membership that I never signed up for. When I asked for my money back they offered me store credit towards training services. This is completely unacceptable. I really liked the people there. This is unacceptable business practice.

My review on this place is long overdue! The Boxing Yard changed my work out game. Even though the workouts completely kicked my ass, I was genuinely excited to go each and every time. The gym has some gloves, mats and jump ropes to use but I brought my own gloves and mat. Make sure to bring a lottt of water and cash (he takes credit card but cash is easier). Don’t be intimidated, it’s an incredibly chill environment, so give it a shot and you 1000% won’t regret it. Thank you Hector for the killer workouts and life talks!!

I was on a business in JAX, really needed pinch the bag so I visited The Boxing Yard. Everything was perfect except the air didn't circulate through the gym and felt shortness of breath.

It's been almost a year since I started working out at The Boxing Yard. Great mix of cardio, boot camp style drills and of course boxing. I came to get in shape and try something new and got just what I wanted with a few extra benefits. I have lost 10lbs, 2 dress sizes, my confidence level has increased and have met a ton of friends.

Absolutely the best gym in Jacksonville! The instructor, a former boxing Olympian, really knows what he's doing and will push you to be your absolute best. I've been coming here for 2 years and the classes never get boring. If you want to lose weight, get in shape, or just take a really fun class, you have to come to the Boxing Yard!

I have lost a substantial amount of weight, became stronger, and regained confidence lost after having children. The environment is welcoming, the trainer Hector is the best, and I highly recommend everyone consider visiting. I love the boxing yard!

Want to try one of the toughest workouts in Jacksonville? This is your place. I workout 2-3 times a week in a regular gym and I thought I was in decent shape. Completely humbled by the hour long session here. Made me realize I'm not in as good as shape as I thought I was. The yard is completely unassuming, grungy, hot and humid, beat up, ghetto, old school, and hidden off the side of the road in an old warehouse in springfield. Perfect.
Monday through Thursday from 6pm - 7pm and Saturday from 9am - 10am you get an hour long intense cardio workout with a mixture of different exercises that Hector will break you down with. Want to take a break or rest a little without being told to? Be ready because Hector will get on your ass immediately and get you going again!
These hour long sessions are a group fitness class that combines fundamental boxing techniques with calisthenic (bodyweight resistance) exercises to improve stamina, power, and tone. Expect a full-body workout through various boot-camp-style drills, shadowboxing, jumping rope, footwork, punching heavy bags, and abdominal exercises. Memberships consists of $10 drop-in, $99 monthly, or $299 for personal training.
It's a blast and I can't wait to train here more often. Lots of good people here in a friendly competitive environment where everyone wants to push themselves to the max. Don't worry if you've never boxed before.
Things to know and bring: Get a set of decent boxing gloves (I paid 40 bucks for mine and they work just fine - 16oz Title Classic gloves - I'm 5'10" 180lbs), hand wraps (not required but can help with the bags after repeated hitting), bring lots of water, bring a towel, yoga matt if you have one for the ab session at the end, good workout shoes, light workout clothes, come motivated, geared up to sweat, and ready to work your ass off.
