British Swim School offers swimming lessons for kids and adults, starting as early as 3 months. Located inside LA Fitness, we're open year-round and welcome both gym members and non-members. You can learn to swim when you’re ready and continue until you’ve mastered the skills. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help swimmers of all levels become safer and more confident in the water. Our safe, fun, and effective teaching methods have made us the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years. Our confidence-building curriculum and small group swimming classes provide a consistent format and structure with one-on-one attention for each swimmer. Private swimming lessons are subject to availability.

I was looking for a swim class for my son and found British Swim School. They had good reviews and we gave them a shot and we have been impressed with them since he started! The coach’s have been so great with all the kids. You can see that not just my son but the other kids in his class connect with the coach’s instantly. Coach Ariana and Coach Autumn have been great with teaching my son new skills each class. He has progressed so fast. He started in Minnow and he is in Turtle 1 now! Anyisia and Coach Dave have been great with communication as well! Very impressed overall and highly recommend

My 4 year old has been with British Swim School for over a year and is doing amazing! He is now a Turtle 2 and I’m just blown away at his growth. Ariana is a fantastic instructor and has really helped my son excel. He looks forward to swim every week and Ariana is a big part of that!

Our daughter has been taking swimming lessons with British Swim Pinellas for over a year and we are thrilled with her progress. We opted to switch her to private classes and we are happy we did so. Coach Ari really brought our daughter out of her shell and got her comfortable with water and learning her survival skills. Our daughter used to fight us on swim lessons and now she can’t wait to go swimming with Coach Ari.
The owner Dave is so helpful and accommodating as well. If there was ever a hiccup, his communication with us was top notch and he listened to any concerns or questions we had. I recommend them to anyone who asks about swimming lessons for their children.

If you’re looking for the right place for swimming lessons for your child, this is the one! I enrolled my daughter 3 months ago and within that time she has graduated 2 levels and is currently on her 3rd level (turtle 1). The swimming instructors are amazing with the kiddos and are so patient. They make it fun for them and build up their confidence in the water. 100 percent recommend!

My boys have Adriana as their instructor and they love her. Within three classes, both boys are able to float. My oldest is able to float for almost four minutes and youngest almost a minute. They always look forward to going there and learn from Adriana. You can tell that Adriana really enjoys her job and are super good with kids. Thank you

I can’t say enough good things about these swim classes. Every teacher is amazing, but Joy is above and beyond amazing! She builds trust and confidence with each kid she works with. She learns about their likes and dislikes and is creative in finding ways to help them through fears and mental blocks. My kids have excelled in swimming and look forward to going to swim class because of Joy.

My daughter had a hard time paying attention and focusing on learning how to swim. We have tried other schools in the past and the instructors tended to kids more advanced than my daughter instead of focusing on her. The instructors at British swim school are very patient and provided my daughter with the time needed. At the end of the day our children’s lives are at stake. I would not go anywhere else to provide my child with the skills needed to swim safely. Thanks again!

Hi! I enrolled my visiting niece at BSS Largo after researching MANY swim programs in the surrounding area. David was easy to work with and had effective communication. This location was super convenient, responsive and made room for last minute private lessons. My non-swimming niece learned survival techniques and how to swim in 1 week!!! I booked 6 sessions which were mostly instructed by Miss Autumn. Autumn has an amazing aura and way of teaching! She was beyond what I could have asked for. I am truly appreciative of Autumn and her attentiveness to my niece and HER specific situation/skill set. She made the most of her short time and I can’t wait to enroll her next year! OAN Kim is such a sweet and thoughtful Ambassador! My niece loved coming to each session and always left hopeful, excited and encouraged. Thank you BSS Largo!!!
