This YMCA is beautiful. I would like to see them focus on improving their training for the children's programs. During the 2021 summer program, children were unattended (staff on their phones), kids were bullying, and hurting each other. The young staff encouraged altercations between children and were not supervised. They allowed an older child to repeatedly throw a basketball at my 6 year olds head, nothing stopped until my older son interfered and protected him. My children were miserable and left crying on a daily basis. Unfortunately, there are not many places to put your children for summer programs in the area.

Very nice space & the overseer was super kind. We were here for a 🏀 tournament & our Coach was running late, so I had to step in. The director spoke with me & gave me the run down & helped me keep up with the fouls. My Head Coach reign was short-lived but fun. Thankful to the refs & man in charge for their kindness!!

Customer service could be improved. I felt upset after suggestions of wrongdoing on my part over a simple misunderstanding that could have been avoided if my question had been taken seriously instead of written off as a "general question," whatever that means. Even if my new membership covers this location, I won't be coming back here again. I'll stick with the other branches that are much more welcoming and better at working through problems that arise.

This YMCA is a very nice location. The staff are always happy to help with any questions or concerns I have had. Their weightlifting equipment is cleaned throughout the day and pool is very nice and is always watched by their lifeguards so I feel safe swimming here as well.

Horrible experience visiting this YMCA. My family and I walked out without a membership due to the lack of tour we received. We walked inside wanting to sign up our whole family, to walking out with never wanting to visit another YMCA. Especially if that’s how they treat the families here.

I REALLY hope the new locker room upgrade includes a sauna, because the other locations have one as well as most of the surrounding gyms! I also hope they add more pilates/yoga classes. Most of them now are with the same teacher now and are not much of a workout at all (mostly talking and laying around). If you go to Brooks or Winston you will sweat during these classes! There are younger people in Ponte Vedra too!

Terrible availability of basketball courts and any facility that’s not workout equipment. When I canceled my membership it was four days past the 30 day notice deadline. I was trying to work out something with them. Instead they reported me to a collection agency within two weeks. The account wasn’t even 30 days late. How very (un)Christian of you. This despite having my children play many seasons in their sports programs and volunteering my time over numerous seasons to coach. Not nice people

Good facility with many options for the community. My favorite aspect is the heated outdoor pool, which is difficult to find in the area, so that we can continue swimming laps over the winter, but still not have to breathe in all the chlorine smell of indoor pool environments. You can reserve lap lanes during free swim times.

I love this gym. It has everything you need. The pandemic changes have soured my opinion, however. They now close earlier, close on Sundays, limit swim times, limit fitness classes, and limit open gym time for basketball to one person per hoop (so no pickup basketball) yet the kids/teens can still have their practices. If you’re worried about people getting COVID during pickup basketball or while swimming, why are the kid teams allowed to practice. I get that safety precautions need to be taken but given the decline in services offered, it is a bit ridiculous that my membership fee is the same amount.

I just moved to the area and I am so glad my cousin introduced me to this place! Every single front desk/staff person I have interacted with from day one has been extremely friendly and helpful. I even won a drawing for an Amazon giftcard with my new membership! Another note- normally I would be embarrassed to try group classes but the instructors are great and the members have all been really nice. Definitely try it out if you are on the fence.

Horrible Customer Service

**If you ever cancel your membership - make sure you keep a copy of your paperwork**

They changed my paperwork after I left with later EFT dates than my original copy. I called them to figure out why I was charged past the date I had on my paperwork & they would not return my calls so I had to file a dispute with my bank.

Dealing with them & my bank has been a nightmare. The YMCA told me they were going to refund me within 48 hours and over a week later they are still "trying to figure out how to refund me".

I was going to rejoin when the location closer to us is built but after this - absolutely not!

We love coming here! The classes are great and work well with my work schedule. My kiddo loves the children’s area. I like that they take them outside to play on the park while I’m working out!! This Y is the reason I’m getting rid of my association wide membership and sticking with just the Winston family close to my home (I work in Ponte Vedra). No one is willing to share a lane in the pool, and clearly they don’t enforce sharing. This is a small, older Y and from my experience, unless you live in PVB and are there daily, you’re not really welcome with open arms.

Clean, spacious facility. Polite and outgoing staff. Great selection of cardio and weight equipment in very good condition. Wifi does not work. You can connect to it, but it will not work with Netflix, Pandora, Subsonic, Stitcher. When I questioned the staff they admitted that it is an ongoing problem. I thought it was due to the time (6pm) and went at 5am this morning with the same result. It is almost impossible to exercise and lift weights without music or some distraction. The 3G for Sprint is nonexistent at that location. I currently have a free trial membership and I'm unsure if I will purchase a full membership due to this issue.
