Gym is nice, until an employee started issues with me ( Antonio) threatening me through others which came back to me, disrespecting his own club. Employee owed me money so I left a note on his truck, nothing negative ( I’ll leave note in comment) but apparently he fabricated the story and footage of me leaving the note on his truck was wrong? I brought many issues to his boss the GM (NELL) to her and she brushed it off and yet I’m the one who will get hemmed for trespassing? It’s a lot more but I don’t want to leave it all here. Management is poor only good one is the AGM, who’s respectful. Many of the night crew recorded a friend of mine (without consent)
Again nothing wrong with leaving a reminder if someone doesn’t respond to phone calls or texts.
HR made the decision apparently to a conclusion which I didn’t believe but if it is it’s unfair that an employee can disrespect a member and do a lot more just to get away with it.
The District manager is the person I’d like to speak with next.

Nice gym with very friendly staff an good machines and benches. My only issue is the people hogging equipment and or machines. Bathrooms are usually always clean but 90% of the one an only paper towel dispenser and toilet paper is empty and will never be refilled by staff if its past 6pm on weekdays.

10/25/2025 This issue has been addressed and Fox News is only being played on one television again, so I’m changing my one star.
10/8/2025 Sadly, this issue has still not been addressed in accordance with the response I received from Chuze (Owner) three weeks ago.
9/10/2025 I have a Chuze membership and frequent this location several times a week. Today, while at the gym multiple televisions were showing Fox News. I asked the manager why so many television were now showing Fox News. She stated they were told to increase the variety of programs showing on the televisions. I explained that when they only had one television showing Fox News, I felt it was too many, but at least I could move to another machine so I would not have to view it. Now, it is impossible not to see Fox News playing. I asked her if they were aware that Fox News had paid almost a billion dollar settlement for lying to its viewers. She stated "I just do what I'm told". If they really wanted more variety playing on the televisions, I'm sure they could find other programs to air. Hell, I'm not a huge fan of CNN, but at least they have not had to pay a billion dollar settlement for lying to their viewers. Sadly, I guess I'll be looking for a new gym, because I refuse to spend my money in any business airing Fox News.

This gym is the one of the locations that is nearest to me, and I will say I have been on a few occasions where something inside the gym doesn't work! Either their scanners don't work, their water ran out, their sauna isn't working, or some of their machines are out of service. Or in my most recent experience with them.... I went to the gym on Saturday afternoon and when I arrived I needed help with something I proceeded to the check in area where there were 4-5 associates just standing around congregating and no one acknowledged me. 1 of the girls looked at me just standing there and didn't say anything. And I looked around me and I was clearly the only person in the lobby at that time. I was standing there for about 3-4 mins until someone finally noticed me. it seems like in the morning they are understaffed and in the afternoons they are over staffed.

The building have received a face-lift, however the same consistent issues remain. Equipment breaks, stays broke for several days without a reasonable solution. Cycle class specifically has reacuring issues with equipment failure and management slowfull corrective actions. The men's locker room is staying nasty, no paper towels, toilets filthy. Young staff members are not trained properly. For the fitness center price, the YMCA is a better value.

I would have believed because of the location, this manager would consistently ensure the facility is clean. Not so. It seems they don't remember covid or that it is still present. The mens locker room, restrooms and sauna are normally filthy during specific hours. Down right nasty! Sickening to he exact. The basketball court is not cleaned at the end of the day after they run people out. Trash, dirt, hair, dried fluids on the balls. Much fuss is made about gym bags and tripods, but maintaining a clean facility to minimize sickness, is far from urgent!

I see staff walk by garbage, broken machines as if it's not there. The quality of theb pi overall product is poor!

The gym is way too big and overpriced. Customer service is very poor. They took money out of my account and they were not supposed to. I asked to get a refund and have denied. a total of $163 is what they took from me. the front desk is very rude. I asked to speak to a manager, they said what do you want and I let her know unless your manager it is not your business The district manager, will only communicate through email. I have now done a chargeback through my bank. They had two weeks to work it out for me and they have not done so the manager is very rude. The front staff is very rude. I do not recommend this gym at all

Very clean and well maintained. Machines are spaced out and placed very well, not crowded at all. Layout makes sense after getting an initial tour. Personal trainers and fitness/ nutrition coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend everyone to join, Ross Germain and Mason Koonce are very helpful.

Just be aware that if you pay for the childcare… DO NOT get that membership if you need to use them to workout on the weekend. It’s literally pointless.

During the weekday you can only use the kids club between 8:30AM-1230PM & 4PM-8AM. And to top it off, They CLOSE at 1230 on Saturday & THEY DONT OPEN ON SUNDAYS

Which really sucks for people who workout Thursday-Sunday due to work obligations.

UPDATE 2025:
Soooo machines are still broken, this “expansion” is still not happening and now checking in a guest takes me 1 hour because they have to use the app and receive an email that never came. This place is only concerned with memberships sold without actually fixing problems. Original staff is gone and the district manager is too busy to even have an honest conversation with me. I get they cut your check but the inconvenience of all the tech for absolutely no reason isn’t corporate bs that needs to be fed to me. Apparently they have people reading these reviews but I’m sure it’s so they can drown out the negative ones.

My locker was broken into it wasn’t a thief because a thief don’t steal underwear and wash clothes everything in my locker was gone the only valuable thing in there was a pair of 20 sneakers I bought from Ross to work out but the gym admits to you can only have a lock on a locker for 12 hours so who enforce that who watches the locked lockers I guess that rule is for the workers that have a free pass to break in a locker and then lie to the members about it and this is my opinion you have a better one tell me

I would have given this gym all 5 stars because it is great. The employees are outstanding, the gym is well kept, and the people are great.
I subtracted one star because it has been over a month now after the beautiful renovations. Unfortunately, the front water fountains were never turned back on after completion of the redesign. The front water fountains do not work. It annoys me when I see the smoothie bar right next to the water fountains have a working sink with running water, yet I must walk to the back of the gym to use the other water fountains. It also annoys me that they put "I pulled a Hammy" signs on broken gym weight machines. But do not put any sign on the water fountains in the front of the Oakleaf gym that has not worked in a long time. And just in case you are thinking, yes I defiantly did physically vocally complained and addressed the INOP water fountain, twice. Still nothing.

After lifting here for half a year, apparently I can’t do leg day without shoes?

Don’t think I would have signed a year membership if I knew of all these issues.

No chalk, no great deadlifting bars, machines are crooked, half the cable/machines are smooth, and we aren’t allowed to work on imbalances that shoes cause us.

You think the new ownership would spend money on making the gym equipment nicer, but instead they paint yellow and blue everywhere. We know where there priorities lay.

This rule seemingly came after Chuze or Cruze took over to change the gym to a vanilla gym, well more than it already was.

These are frustrations that have been building for a while now. The shoe thing was the final straw.

I will say there are a few outlier workers here that make the gym kind of nice like Tie and Daniel. Others are nice enough but the trainers aren’t too friendly at all, though. I used to be a trainer and the best way to get clients is to bring a smile to work and a hello isn’t hard yet it goes far.

Update Feb 18, 2025:

The gym is coming together decently, however, they are putting in new equipment which seems to be bought form Temu. Am i being critical? Perhaps. Only because they are creating a room dedicated to lifting heavy, seemingly, but are using bars that are smooth to the touch and racks that aren't really industry standard. The booty machine they added only works about 30% of range of motion and leaves out the most critical stretch of the glutes. I really do not think the people adding the equipment actually work out.

They also removed one of the two leg extension machines, which is a bit annoying since its a very competitive machine, and when machines break, they are broken for about a week+. Not quick turn arounds. For instance, the only leg extension has been broken for at least a week, however, they are fixing it today.

The employees are nice, for the most part, but I don't think they are really adding anything that the community really wants.

The new paint colors are HORRIBLE for those with mental health problems. Maybe why members are more aggressive now than before!The new turf in the middle is tacky....who wants to see these people!!! Been going to this gym with my husband for 2-3 months now. Very poorly managed. Today a man was using 3 machines at once. Had his stuff on all 3 so he could make clear he was occupying them. In what world do you use a public gym and occupy 3 machines at once? My husband approaches the front desk about the matter in which he is told to speak to the man occupying these machines himself. That sounds like a perfect resolution. How bout you go tell this man to use one machine at once instead of holding everyone else up by being rude and selfish. Manager comes over and basically says it’s ok this man does this. Totally unbelievable. Since I’ve been coming here it’s not uncommon for someone to stay on a machine 45 mins playing on cellphones, again prohibiting someone else from using the equipment. But hey management says it’s ok. I guess I’ll bring all my towels from home and occupy 10 machines by placing a towel on each because management see’s no issue with this. Very disappointed with this establishment.

I went as a guess today & my experience was terrible. First The equipment is to close to each other and when I got done with my work out I go to get my things out the locker and my Lock is cut off my locker. I go to the front desk and ask about it and they tell me someone thought I locked there sweater in the locker. Smdh they give me a combination lock to replace it. Now first of all they left my stuff unattended and no that person sweater was not in my locker which that person didn’t care much about the sweater If they didn’t lock it up anyway. It’s sad because the manager didn’t even come and speak to me. I’m going back up there tmw and I’m write a letter to corporate. Something has to change.

So, I got the luxury of being stolen from for 2 months and lied to and told that I needed to go to my bank and dispute the charges to get my money back.

BTW, - the same shell company owns Baileys and Planet Fitness.
Think of that one next time you pay 2.5 more the monthly cost to join and be stolen from!!

To the commentor of the facility- Correction, per the system and agreement number provided from your establishment, my membership ended 06 October 2024, and it was under a non-renewal status (I have this screenshot).
Additionally, there is zero authorization to charge my account an extra $50 for an annual charge TWO months later.
To close this up, I also found that you started charging me a $20 service fee each month over the summer.
So, YES!!!! You have stolen from me and am trying to protect yourself in the response, but your own system provided me this proof.

Sad to see Chuze changing everything that made Baileys the great gym that it was.

Now it’s a corporate takeover, machines crammed together with no space to move around, and a useless turf area in the middle of the gym (that used to be its own closed room). Half of the machines you can’t even use if someone is next to you.

Space is poorly utilized and makes for a poor workout on most days. The millions of dollars spent on these renovations could have been put to much better use. Hopefully they will take some of our grievances to heart and make changes.

I love Bailey's Fitness in Oakleaf. The place is always clean, the staff is super friendly, and the equipment is top-notch. Being open 24/7 makes it so easy to fit workouts into my schedule. Gorgeous new environment and super functional weight rooms with treadmills and cycles. The energy is high here and there is no judgement from any of the people that work out at this place. There is not one person that I have seen who works out here, that would not help you, if you asked a question or needed help lifting something or even if you wanted to use a piece of equipment they were in the middle of using. Everyone here will help anyone who does the right thing and just shows up to change their life. Just make it through those doors and you have more than 30 people willing to assist you in anyway possible. It has everything you're workout could need unlike Planet Fitness which only goes up to having 70 pound dumbbells. I mean, really PF? Even though the facility has people at all levels of success in their training, they are all respectful and quiet. There is nothing but love at this facility and I have found my new workout home.

The gym was amazing and tell chuzev fitness bought Bailey's and decided to change everything I loved going to Bailey's. It was different from places like planet fitness And crunch it felt like home and very comfortable and not so corporate now that they're changing everything about the gym I no longer want to go there I go to 103rd that is the only gym that I know of that they haven't started making changes and they change the membership fees and how many gas you can bring it's ridiculous. It goes back to the old saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it and they have completely destroyed. How I feel about Bailey's along with a lot of people I know they go to baileys

I've been consistent at several gyms and yet, I've never been to a gym with a "no bags on the floor" policy. The policy is a fruitless grab at getting you to purchase a gym locker and/or lock. Everyone who attends this gym is very respectful of over gym-goers and places their bags very close to the machine they're working on. Still, Bailey's has their employees interrupting workouts to ask people to purchase a lock to put their bag in a locker or to put their bag in their vehicle (while it's pouring rain outside). Absolutely ridiculous. In my gym bag, I have tons of equipment that I use during my workouts and being expected to run to the locker room for any little thing I need out of my bag is unreasonable. This is a stupid policy and honestly has me contemplating cancelling my membership. We are here to workout not nitpick gym bags. This policy is borderline not even enforceable. After I walked through the rain to put my bag in my car, I noticed that half the gym still had their bags on the floor.

I understand the gym is under renovation but as it stands, the gym only has two squat racks/platforms with no mirrors in front of them (that you have to pay extra for). A lot of the equipment is unstable and not well maintained. My previous gym was 40+ years old and they took better care of their equipment. Not really a good leg to stand on to nitpick gym bags.

If y'all consider changing the policy, I'll reconsider my review.

I began visiting Baileys in January 2024 and have loved it ever since. Everyone here is extremely respectful and friendly. I especially appreciate that it's open 24/7, allowing me to drop by anytime. The staff is excellent, and Mike is an outstanding manager who is very approachable.

My husband & son joined this gym together & they enjoy it. It allows them to have father & son time & work on there health journey at the sametime. We only had one issue in the past few years. It was nothing serious but it did hinder if they're going to stay with Bailey's or move to another gym. (I'm not saying what the issue was about because it really wasn't Mike's (manager) job but we had talked to so many people prior & I didn't want others to read my review & run to him when I'm not sure this is a situation he handle's all the time.) I feel corprate should have fixed my issue to begin with but this review is about the Oakleaf location & NOT the corp. office.) After going thru multiple different people with our issue by the time I got to Mike (manager) of the Oakleaf location I expected and prepared to receive an attitude & I did not, not once & we spoke multiple times. Mike was nice ever time we spoke, helpful, understanding & he followed thru & kept his word. We don't have many people who treat others this way in the world we live in so Im glad to see there are still some. Thank you again Mike (manager) for going above & beyond you're a great asset to the Bailey's company. They need more people like you.

iTS one of Bailey's best gyms but all Bailey's gyms are first class. I feel privileged to be a member. Found out that the Octane 612-215 Recumbent bike is OFF LINE again. This machine has been messed up off and on for a couple of years....it goes off track and there's a BUMP/BUMP/BUMP consistently that you cannot IGNORE. This machine in other non-Bailey's gyms gets a lot of use but not the one at Oakleaf bec its broken so often. The "ace crack" repair people (be4 Chuze) would "fix it" but it would only last for a month before it was off track again. i'll have to send pics via the WEBMASTER EMAIL. ALSO discovered the Octane "ellipticals" are all working except for #2 613-163. It still gets a "INCLINE ERROR" on its console. Still that's progress, all but one used to be out-of-order with INCLINE ERROR, now its just one. I think they are called XT-ONE These machine enable Walking, Running, Hiking and CLIMBING and no other device in any of the Baileys locations are like this. Cardio work can be BORING but this XT One makes it more interesting IMO.

Top notch facility open 24/7 ( if your membership permits access at all hours) Baileys gives you the most gym for the monthly fee and with a premium membership you can access ANY of their locations anywhere. They have gyms as far south as Gainesville and north to Brunswick and they're all high quality and super clean.

I love this place. I can workout 24/7. They have any and all machines I could possibly use. I signed up for their PT Sweat training program. My trainer is Ethan Sutherland and we do weight lifting/training. I started in January 2023 and weighed 230 lbs. I was having health problems, sore joints typical older age issues. After 1 yr and 5 months I now weigh 181 lbs and feel AWESOME.
I am currently 64 years old.

I proceeded to cancel my membership 9 days in advance of the billing date; however, they still charged me for the following month according to the company's policies. These rules are never disclosed to you and are not visible on the site. According to this rule, it's 10 days before the billing date.
This seems like an abuse and incredibly ridiculous. They will never tell you your deadline for cancellation, but they will tell you that you must pay for the following month.
Terrible customer service. Sarcastic laughter from the employee. Extremely disappointed. "I could give 0 stars."

Been coming for over a year now and in the last 3-5 months, the cleanliness has gone waaaaaaaay down. Papers, water bottles, skin on the floor (yes, flaky skin) dirt, debris, animal hair; Is everywhere. All over the place. The same smudges on the mirrors for weeks. I come here bc i like baileys but it’s becoming out of convenience now. I used to see staff cleaning all the time. Now, i hardly ever see them. They’re all just hanging out at the counter. My membership is expensive, i shouldn’t feel gross at the gym.

I stopped by after dropping off some clothing at Goodwill. I've never visited this gym and I've resided in the area for 19 years. First, the front counter individual greeted me via saying "What's Up"! That's not a greeting and is unprofessional. Secondly, I asked the gentleman I wanted to take a look around because, I wanted to see if this gym was an option for me. I'm already a member at a smaller gym nearby. He asked me to scan a QR code with my phone and I can take a look myself because, he couldn't leave the counter area. HOWEVER, to my left I observed an employee sitting looking at his cellphone. I didn't have my phone present with me therefore, the young man, at the front counter, told me I would be unable to look around. He told me to come back another time.

In my opinion, that's pathetic customer service for a potential new membership...Sad and Reprehensible...

I joined and had my wife join. We are doing this together. One of my neighbors across the street was already a member. He wasn't going. But after his medical issue I coaxed him into going to get some exercise. I went with him a couple of times, but stopped because he could not go as earily as I could. So my wife and I go before she goes to work 2X/week. Then I told my other neighbor about it 6 months ago. He checked it out. He and his wife joined this month with the premium package.

This gym is in desperate need of a renovation, the machines are always broken the bathrooms are always filthy. Some of the staff here are definitely nice people but other members not so much. The kids care hours aren’t guaranteed, not sure if they are understaffed or what so there can be a waiting list for kids care which if you are like me and drink pre workout this can really suck to be turned away as you start to get the jitters. I really don’t know why I bother paying 50+ dollars a month for this place but we don’t have many options in oakleaf.

Awful customer service. I stood behind a lady for over 10 min as I was constantly ignored by the front desk. The guy motioned for his coworker to assist the lady he was working with, instead of acknowledging me, he walked away from the desk. I stood there waiting… I expected, at the very least they would say “ hey ma’am give me just a moment and I’ll be with you shortly”. I stood there being ignored. Avoiding eye contact with me and all. Honestly, I never was a fan of this gyms, unfortunately it’s just really close to my home. The gym equipment is always out of order or it’s falling apart. Very cheap equipment. I wish LA fitness can replace them. I dropped my workout glove behind one of the stair masters and they refused to assist me in getting it out. They claimed they called maintenance and they would let me know when it was recovered. My husband and I have the highest membership, I’m so disappointed with the level of unprofessionalism. WISH I CAN GIVE ZERO STARS

EDIT AT BOTTOM!!!Staff is always friendly, helpful and responsive. The whole gym is always super clean, I have never not seen people not wiping the equipment and janitorial staff are always there cleaning. Great diversity in equipment and weights. Always comfortable here. The only thing I didn’t like was when I sighed up it came with a person trainer evaluation and I waited an hour and a half after my appointment (that was confirmed the day prior) and was never told he was running late or couldn’t make it to my scheduled appointment so I felt my time was invaluable compared to the trainers which left a bad taste in my mouth. ***EDIT: left my lock on for 4 days due to being sick and they cut my lock off and tossed my $120 shoes. Wasn’t a full week before the lock was cut. Really upset about losing my brand new shoes. Thanks a lot baileys ❤️ 🙄

For me it seemed like a cash grab to charge an annual fee because "all the other gyms do it". Not ALL the other gyms do it. When I did the free trial, all the unassisted free weight squat racks were taken, including the ones you pay extra for (in the HIIT room). I'm not paying a sign up fee, annual fee, and monthly fee to go to a gym where I'm charged extra (there is a second tier of pricing to use HIIT equipment) to wait in line for equipment.

I prefer the sunbeam one. Just because it's more spread out and i m use to it. Both are great. Referring to people saying they take your money.. read the contract. You can't move and expect them to stop charging you if you dont let them know. You can pay for a 6 month or whatever but after the 6 months they will continue charging you if you don't tell themto stop. They have entirely too many members to notice if one person hasnt been in awhile. However I did have the problem. At golds gym years ago and I simply called my bank and got a new debit card

STAY AWAY FROM BAILEY'S!!! They are liars and will cheat you out of your money. I clearly asked to sign up for a 6 month membership and paid for a 6 month membership, and 6 months later Bailey's drafted my credit card for a monthly fee. Mike is the guy that sold me the membership and stood in my face and totally lied. He states that he told me that Bailey's did not offer a 6 month membership, but why in the world would I pay for something you do not offer?!?!. The girl at corp. told me Mike was the manager and he could fix the issue if he really wanted too, but she was very rude, however once I return to speak with Mike he states he is not a manager. So, they lie, cheat and I do plan to take legal actions. I hate even going in to that gym! The equipment is very nasty and doesn't appears to have been wiped down in months. I would rate the gym and the staff a zero if I could. A total disgrace.

Staff is fantastic, facility is clean, and they have a great selection of equipment and a great athletic training area. But only join if you enjoy working out around dozens of teens and college aged broccoli tops with bad gym etiquette. Nobody re-racks their weights or returns their equipment where they found it, half don’t wipe down equipment.

In over 10 years of lifting, this location has the absolute worst and inconsiderate members I’ve ever had to share a gym with. It’s really just a place for Oakleaf kids to socialize more than a place for people to workout.
