Did my free intro class today and absolutely loved it! The pace learning as a first timer at Pilates was great they let you know if you needed to change anything you’re doing, the equipment was well kept, and the staff were super nice. I normally get nervous in group settings but this place was relaxing and welcoming and I felt really good after. I definitely will be signing up for a membership as I can see myself coming several times throughout the week and I can’t wait! Plus they give a discount to military, first responders etc. which is also a major plus.

Wasn’t even able to finish signing up. Left multiple messages and called multiple times during business hours to finish my registration. No one ever answered. Never got a call back. Ended up signing up with a different location due to terrible experience.

I have never not been excited inside a Pilates studio.
I am concerned partially for the lady who sat and worked at the front desk with darker hair. She seemed frazzled when coming out to talk with me yesterday, seeming not wanting to talk, and there was a creepy police officer outside trying to sell pies with a red light district sign. What needs to be expunged?

I recently visited Club Pilates for an intro class, and while the equipment was in great condition and the instructor, Hanna, was friendly and knowledgeable, my overall experience left a lot to be desired.
Red Flags Before Arrival:
Two days before my class, I received an email asking me to confirm my attendance due to a waitlist. While I understand the need to manage class sizes, I’ve never experienced this at other studios, and it felt unnecessary. If I had planned to cancel, I would have done so myself. When class began I was the only person attending.
Check-In Confusion:
The studio's instructions state to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in, a tour, and to complete a waiver. I arrived 10 minutes before class, only to find the door locked. After some confusion, Jan opened the door and asked if I was there for the intro class. After confirming my name and ClassPass reservation, I was handed a waiver but received no further instructions.
After completing the form, I went back to a reformer to stretch while waiting. When I went to put my sunglasses away, Jan stopped me and insisted I stay up front until the instructor was ready, even though the instructor had already greeted me. The interaction felt uncomfortable, so I decided to wait in my car until class began.
Class Experience:
Once class started, I had a great experience with Hanna—until another participant arrived 10 minutes late, causing a disruption as Hanna had to stop and get her set up. I found this unprofessional, especially since the studio’s policy states the doors lock at the start of class.
Post-Class Sales Pitch & Hidden Costs:
At the end of class, Jan aggressively pitched memberships, going into far more detail than necessary. A simple introduction to pricing would have been sufficient.
Another major frustration was that I was required to take the intro class before attending regular classes, despite having over a year of experience on reformers, Cadillacs, and Xformers. This cost me two ClassPass credits, only to later discover that the intro class could have been taken for free.
While the equipment and instruction were good, the poor communication, rigid policies, and uncomfortable interactions left a bad impression. If you're a total beginner, this studio may be a good fit. However, experienced Pilates practitioners may find the mandatory intro class frustrating, especially if booking through ClassPass.

I tried the free class and bought my socks I was pretty determined to join but the lady at the front made my mind changed. I was about to pull the brochure and she snapped it from me without a clear explanation why I couldn’t see it. From then I was like if this is how they treat people they don’t need my money there. The class was good though.

They'll sign you up with promises of great classes. They don't tell you you have to fight to get in one. With the exception of a few instructors (the classes you can't get into) the classes are boring, music is sleep worthy and they focus on their clique members. Good luck getting help from the front desk, when they're not gossiping with members and talking about their pets they'll eventually get to you. They said they're opening a new studio in Neptune Beach, now nothing is said. I canceled and went to HiReformance. They cater to all of their members not just the old wyt women.

Jane, the old lady at the front as well as the instructor were HORRIBLY rude. 0 stars for customer service, didn’t even greet me when I walked in for the first time and were completely off putting. Didn’t let me take a class bc I didn’t have grip socks, didn’t offer to let me borrow any and there was nothing sent out prior stating I needed them. I have always taken Pilates barefoot at every other studio I have been to. They were so rude I would never come back here and they need to seriously re-consider who they hire because they were terrible

If you're considering this location, be prepared to pay $240 every month for the unlimited membership. I joined the Beach Blvd location from late August to early November. I want to give a huge shoutout to Linda, who was incredibly kind and helpful in getting me signed up. She was so friendly and even hugged me the first time we met after a couple of phone conversations. She's the best and one of the only positive aspects for me at Club Pilates.
To start off, after my first trial 30-minute introduction class with Savannah Heideman (where you learn the basic terminology of Pilates and get used to the Reformer machine), she announced in front of the other women in the trial, "Did anyone tell you that you may have scoliosis?" I was caught off guard, and I didn't know how to respond to such an abrupt insult from someone I didn't even know. I kept trying to justify it in my head as concern, but as an instructor, any comments about a paying customer or any person's body should be made in a private conversation.
In another incident, I could be standing right in front of the desk with a question, and she would just ignore me, talking to the ladies taking their belongings out of the cubby and rambling about her pets. I had to attend many of her classes because they were the only ones that fit my schedule. Some of the other instructors would sound like they were yelling at you if you were doing the exercise wrong. Pardon me, but I don't know how to do the "Pilates two inwards frog leg alternate" on the Reformer in my second class?
The workout itself is underwhelming, and for $200+, it's not worth it at all. I highly suggest going to YogaDen on the same road as Club Pilates for instructors who are much kinder and a more liberating workout.

I’m brand new to FL and signed up for an intro class here last minute. My socks weren’t exactly grip socks, so the elderly lady, Jan, at the desk said I would “have” to purchase theirs ($16). Instead of either A. Lending a pair for an intro class (not even knowing if I’ll like it), or B. Mentioning that I can purchase them elsewhere prior to a full class if I sign up; I told her I wouldn’t purchase them there and guess need to leave. She said… “ok” with no problem at all.
Out of all my choices, this is a place I will steer everyone away from. Horrible business and mentality. No care in the world.

I am closing in on my 400th class at Club Pilates. I took my first intro class 3 years ago after recovering from open heart surgery, as a way to ease back into physical activity. Pilates was great cardio rehab for me (with my doctor's approval), and it has developed into a huge part of my fitness program. So many great instructors, but my regulars are Savanah and Diane. They are positive, motivational, caring, and knowledgeable...and I could not have made so much progress without them!

The lady at the front desk was nice,
Now as soon I went in there I smiled at the instructor she didn't even smiled back which is fine. I still gave her the benefit of the doubt because she probably didn't noticed me smiling at her three different times.
Furthermore,
THERE IS A REASON WHY IS CALLED AN
"INTRO PILATES CLASS" because you are a beginner with no experience!
For an INTRO instructor you have to be mindful and patient with people that doesn't know anything about PILATES. CALLING OUT THE PERSON doesn't help instead they should be wiser and help the person if they didn't hear you.
YOU ALSO DONT KNOW IF THAT PERSON HAS ANY HEARING DISABILITIES OR ANY DISABILITY. Disability or not you MUST BE PATIENT TO BE AN INTRO INSTRUCTOR!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I was ready to sign up for the unlimited subscription, but the instructor ruined it for me.

The lady at the front desk was very rude. They don’t mention to bring your own socks so if you don’t have any you will need to pay 6$ for one pair of socks. The class was okay but the lady in the front desk ruined it for me

I decided to try the free 30 minute intro class and quickly became addicted to Pilates! Until now, I had no previous experience with Pilates and found it difficult to find group workout classes that I enjoy. I have noticed a difference in my posture and core strength. I recommend taking classes with both Tiffany and Jeanne. They are kind, patient, informative, knowledgeable & most importantly - fun! My favorite days of the week have become the days I get to do a class with these ladies!

"There is nothing more debilitating ,or dangerous than an older white women who has been systematically taught for decades they are superior over you.
Yes, I canceled my membership after 2 months. I enjoyed your program ,and working on the reformer in pilates, however I was not comfortable with your culture. I can understand why their is very little diversity there. Wemon of color are not welcome...

I have never done Pilates before and decided to try out the free introductory class that is offered and ended up loving it! From just walking in the door everyone was super friendly and helpful, talking about goals and what to expect from Pilates. Courtney was the instructor and she explained the machines very well and made my entire experience comfortable. I ended up leaving with the 4 classes a month package, eventually I hope to fit more classes into my schedule. My experience was so enjoyable!

I love Club Pilates Jax. When I first became a member, I signed up for their four visits a month membership thinking I would use Pilates to supplement my off days from the gym. It only took two visits before I ended up switching to their unlimited membership. I have seen my body transform in such a positive way. My overall posture has improved noticeably, and I have been slimming down and toning up substantially. The instructors are fantastic, and the staff is very friendly.

Best decision I ever made for my health. I have tried so many different outlets and it never felt right. I have been able to stay motivated and go on a regular basis. I feel so much better and it has definitely changed my shape and made me stronger. I love how there are different instructors with different personalities and no class is ever the same. Worth every penny!

I've been a member for a month now and loving all of the classes and the variety of times. Every class is different and I always leave feeling like I've had a great workout. The studio is also clean, all of the instructors are professional but make the classes fun and challenging. I plan to stay a long-term member

Enjoyed the introductory class and the Level 1class enough to buy a membership at the new Mandarin location. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great workout to increase strength and flexibility. Loved that each of us had our own station and that the class is small. Great atmosphere!! Cannot wait for the Mandarin opening!! Thank you, Christine and Jose!

Buyer beware. Very convenient to sign up but impossible to cancel your membership... They expect you to come in and sign a cancellation form. That is very formal protocol for a Pilates studio & what about people that move or travel all the time? They can't come in. Also, what is the purpose of giving a 30 day notice? I understand 30 day notices for things like renting an apartment, quitting your job or selling your house I mean come on. This is a class. It is unfortunate because I was going to keep going and pay per class. I am just no longer able to take advantage of the monthly membership due to my schedule but now someone else will get my business.
