We had my son‘s seventh birthday party here yesterday and it was fantastic. There were three coaches who were super friendly and great with the kids. They not the kids through a really fun ninja course, but they helped us set up and breakdown with smiles the entire time. The facility was extremely clean and everything was well organized. Pricing was also very fair. I highly recommend for birthday parties!

A Gymnast’s Second Home—An Amazing Place for Families! 🤸‍♀️💖

As a mom of a gymnast who has trained for ** 3 years** at Coral Reef Activity Center, I can confidently say this place has been a game-changer for my child. Watching her grow—not just in skill, but in confidence, discipline, and passion has been an incredible journey. The staff goes above and beyond to create a nurturing and inspiring environment where kids feel motivated to push their limits and reach new heights.

Beyond training, this center is a community that supports families, encourages kids to chase their dreams and to engage in fun activities. If you're looking for a place where your child can discover his/her potential and build lasting friendships and memories Coral Reef Activity Center is the perfect choice. Highly recommend! 😊✨

I don't recommend hosting private events here.

I'm not sure about their gym classes, but for private events, the experience was disappointing.

Their communication is terrible. We booked one event and were given specific details, but when we arrived, they assigned us a different room, claiming it was what we had booked due to the type of party. Nothing was properly communicated, and all our guests complained about how hot the room was.

We voiced our concerns, but nothing changed. What was supposed to be a happy and fun birthday celebration turned into a frustrating experience that neither we nor our guests enjoyed.

The service crew was kind and tried their best, but the situation was beyond their control. Guests were uncomfortable, and we were just waiting for the event to end.

The owners brought us a cooler with ice because we had a frozen cake—after previously confirming that they had a fridge and freezer available.

I wish we had known that we’d be stuck in a room with a broken AC and that it wouldn’t even be the room we originally booked.

They have a confusing system where events are categorized as "standard" or "premium" parties, with different time slots. However, they don’t tell you that the standard party takes place in a hidden backroom.

We booked a 2 PM standard party because we were told the premium party starts at 3 PM. Yet, when we arrived, we saw that the premium party in the main room had already started at around 1:45 PM. That was a complete shock—especially after calling and emailing them nearly 20 times before the event.

Worst of all, our daughter had to witness all this stress instead of enjoying the magical birthday we had planned for her.

This is the best gym we have found for our son! He gets so excited on days he has his ninja class with Coach E!! The staff makes us feel like family and we wouldn’t go anywhere else! The best part is we had his 9th birthday there and he and his friends had a blast! We had the entire gym to ourselves and we didn’t have to clean up!!! Check them out!!!

We decided to celebrate our daughter’s birthday at this place after attending a previous birthday. We liked the kids can have fun inside while parents have fun outside.

First, one of the employee girls was helping to bring all items inside, she grabbed a nuggets aluminum pan and dropped it on the floor. While I understand accidents happen, it would have been BASIC to hear AT LEAST “I’m sorry”. Instead, she just stood there and the only thing she said was “ohh” and then walked inside. Nothing like “can I do something to solve this?” or “can I go to Publix which is literally 2 minutes from here and buy another one?” or “can you let me know the cost of it so I can talk to the owner for a refund?” or “I’m very sorry”. NOT A SINGLE APOLOGIZING WORD came out of her mouth. Unbelievable. I guess basic education is not their best attribute.

And second, since we started to bring all items inside, I felt the temperature was high. I asked one of the girls and she said “it is cooling already”. After a while with all our guests inside, the temperature was hotter. When I asked again, she said the temperature is only controlled by the owner, she is in Europe and they have sent multiple messages to her to lower the temperature. Meanwhile, all parents and kids inside the gym were sweating and hot. When checked the thermostat, temperature was set to 95 DEGREES!!! (photo attached). Who the heck sets a thermostat to 95 degrees???. Who the heck running a business completely locks access to the thermostat to be remotely manipulated only??. This very uncomfortable situation lasted for about one hour (celebration was 2 hours) until ambient temperature reached 80 DEGREES!. Finally the temperature was remotely lowered by the owner, I guess…

NEVER AGAIN…

We celebrated our 6 years old son birthday and it was the best experience ever. My son said he had the best birthday and time of his life. The facilitiy is clean and the gym is full of fun activities. Parents stay in a waiting room and can see the kids activities thru the glass and tvs. The staff is incredible!! They help you from the moment you step in to set everything up, and at the end they help you clean and put everything in your car. The coaches are amazing and make the activities in the gym fun. All you can hear is the kids laughing!! Rhis place is 100% recommended for bday parties!! Thank you to all the staff and keep the good work!!!!

We were there for a birthday party. Parents are not allowed in the gym area. My 5 year old daughter was carried and dragged out of the gym and thrown to me crying by this “coach” very aggressively without any explanation. At first I thought she had gotten hurt. She couldn’t stop crying and was trembling like never before. I take her out to calm her and figure out what happened. This “coach” comes out to scold her without my consent or even talking to us first to explain the situation. Totally inappropriate. Fortunately my older son came out and explained the situation. Never placing foot in this place ever again. Do not take your children there! This guy is hostile, extremely rude and inappropriate to say the least.
I’m sure a 5 year old, 50lb girl can smack the heck of a grown man! Please! Your response is unacceptable. She was mistreated. Your “coach’s” behavior was unacceptable. He didn’t come to us to talk. You got that wrong and it was not his place to talk to her in that manner. She is an excellent student, she participates in soccer, gymnastics, golf, swimming, ballet, and tennis and NEVER had anything remotely like this happening. And even if she did “smack” him (a grown man apparently) she should not have been carried out the violent way he did, nor he had the authority to talk to her that way and approach her without even talking to us. It was not his place to “educate” nor the correct way. Again your response the day of the event and through this channel says a lot about you all. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS PLACE!!! If that is the way you treat children in front of their parents can’t imagine how you treat them behind doors no wonder you don’t let parents in. You are abusers!

I'm sure this is a great establishment however we unfortunately will never know. Your front desk employees are your first point of contact for a business & sadly your two front desk employees failed to close this deal. They have no customer service skills, no sales skills. I went today to sign my child up, I was not offered any pertinent information, was referred to a pamphlet behind me & told I could walk around. I was not asked any questions, nor was I offered a trial class, which I only knew was available based on reading past reviews. I immediately left, went over to the next gymnastics location near me & was not only walked around, my child was addressed personally as they are the one that will be attending as well as was offered a trial class. The difference in customer service was so apparent even my young child noticed how "nice" the new location was in comparison to your location. We are now new members of this new spot, It was that easy. When there are several options, your front desk employees could make or break it. Especially when they are eating at the front desk & talking with their mouths full.

Not a good place to bring your kid. Strongly recommend going through another gymnastics to improve your kids skill. You will receive no progress updates or information on how your child can improve. We had a bad experience with our 3yo daughter on her trial ninja class. The class itself was a very disappointing experience. The “coach” did not interact and did not try to capture hers attention. She didn't give any instructions and he didn't talk or didn't teach any exercises. Our daughter was "playing" on her account.

You should had told us all this before you charged us $25 for this trial class. And by the way, I can evaluate you guys at any time.
If language is a problem, you should have told us before charging us $25 for the trial class.

My girl is part of the Optional Team and she spends a lot of time there and she loves it! The Coaches work on the skills as well as emotions. They are building true athletes: strong, secure and with team competitive spirit. In every meet we are all there, owners, coaches, siblings, parents. We are a family and we support each other.

Coral Reef Gymnastics and Cheer is a highly recommended gym for you. Employees and associates are kind. Coaches wise, they test your ability to the limit and they work you out till you can’t anymore. I was at a different gymnastics center before Coral Reef. I was not the best gymnast until I switched here. Coral Reef coaches got my skills on point and I got a lot stronger as a athlete with the hard work and conditioning we are pushed to do. Also everyone in the gym is very friendly and is very supportive. I have never felt the amount of support anywhere else other then Coral Reef Gymnastics and Cheer. In the Team program at Coral Reef Gymnastics and Cheer you are highly guaranteed you will a strong hardworking athlete. I highly recommend this gymnastics center. :)

We’ve been part of the gym for almost 5 years. I’m a proud parent of a team girl. The coaches are the best, experienced, supportive, and dedicated. Everybody who works at Coral Reef, the staff, coaches, and the owners are excellent and very friendly. They always make you feel welcome. The most important is, that my daughter loves to be there, she enjoys training every day, thanks to the coaches and her friends. It is a wonderful gym, great atmosphere, very clean gym. My daughter has attended Coral Reef since the summer of 2018. For their services alone, they rate a full five stars. The staff is always nice and friendly and the coaches are very talented in their ability to teach the students very quickly. However, there are a few things they fall short on; thus, reflecting their score.

First, there is an extremely repulsive odor in the gymnasium. The smell hits me like a bulldozer every time I open the glass door. Sometimes I forget how bad it is until I open the door and I immediately gag silently although some parents notices and chuckles or nod in agreement. My daughter used to attend a different gym in Miramar that is farther from my home and I've never experience any aroma like it. Second, although their competitive team is very talented and the coaches are great, the students outside the competitive team do not receive a lot of training on fundamental techniques (like coring-in, alining their posture, pointing their toes, and spotting) from my perspective. The problem I have with this is although my daughter knows how to do different flips, her technique lacks proper form and cleanness. Also basic skills like tightening your core and pointing is important to avoid injuries like the knees and back. My last issue and most influential, is the fact that we (as parents) entrust the staff with our children and pay the tuition faithfully each month to teach our children a skill but once it's time to show us what we paid them to do, we have to NOW pay them for our children to participate in the show (which is held at their facility), pay for the outfit, and then pay for each member including the parents to attend the show. Maybe I'm crazy but I find it outrageous to require parents to pay them to show us what we paid them to do initially. As I previously mentioned, my child attended another gymnastic facility and family day was always complementary, as well as the dance company she attended. I could understand paying for one, like free to participate but pay to attend or vice verse. In retrospect, it's almost like paying a contractor to remodel your kitchen but once it's time to see the final product he/she says but wait FIRST you must pay for staging and pay me to come see your kitchen revealed. Needless to say, I opted out of the performance because I could not rationalize that situation although my daughter was extremely disappointed.

Nonetheless, my daughter still attends Coral Reef because the children learn a lot very quickly and it's the closest facility to me. To deal with the discrepancies, I avoid going inside the gym or stay inside long enough to adjust to the smell. Also, I work with my daughter at home to teach her those fundament techniques like pointing, landing softly, and using her core which I enjoy because we get to bond... although I wish it was a joint effort.

Two weeks ago I enrolled my daughters in this camp Coral Reef Gymnastics at Weston. I regret to say that I lost my money, even my time. My daughters, not only did not learn anything about gymnastics, but begged leave the camp early each day. One of my daughters listened one of the guides saying "hopefully soon begin classes" ( I guess I like mom, to do not continue babysitting ) . Perhaps the opinion of the girls was wrong, so I decided to offer myself as a guide to the field trip. Not bad, but the truth is that the guides did anything great to distract the children , beyond load them back and forth in the Parrot Jungle . No emotion, No interest.
I am not a person who use to complain, but I regret being so motivated to write this note and parents not have the same experience I had. Even more unfortunate was calling to expose my case and the Gym’s Manager answer was very elusive, excusing all. So, do not expect anybody will give you solutions, even less your money back if you are not agree with you are going to get from this place.

VERY DISAPPOINTED PARENTS AND CHILDREN.
My kids attended this gym since 2009. It started as a recreational aftercare and they ended up on the competition team. My husband and I were always very pleased with the care in general and kids were happy, our girls loved being there. The owners are very attentive at first and we actually felt like part of the family because we spent so much time there.
Problems began when the gym moved locations in 2011 or 12. The Coaches were leaving and dropping like Flies, the aftercare pick up was being done by the owners daughter in their personal car that was missing seat belts (according to the kids). The owner's 17 year old daughter would sometimes drive the bus and pick up kids (dont you need a special liability license for this?)...One time the daughter was in an accident with my kids on the bus and I didnt find out until I picked them up. (unacceptable). When I called Carla the owner, she replied with "it was no big deal just a small fender bender and all is taken care of"... (seriously?)
The billing system they have is, well, not a system at all. If we ever got behind a payment, they were flexible but once we were caught up...months later, they would say we owed thousands for previous months early in the year (absolutely irrational and absurd). There is no accounting and if youre not on top of things they WILL over-charge you. I honestly have to say that they did work with us when we fell through hard times, but I am also convinced now based on their actions when we left that it was all done with their invested interest in mind and nothing else.
Long story short, they told us weeks before the season started in fall of 2014 that our daughter would have to be held back a level with no explanations. After 2 weeks of asking for an explanation and being ignored, 2 coaches QUIT and left so we had her evaluated at other gyms to see what level she truly was skill wise.
When my husband informed them we had to make the choice to move the girls, they sent us a bill for $9,000 in fees through 2015. The bill had no breakdown of anything, and when we asked, their response was, you didnt give us 30 day notice and you took the girls to a competitor thats why we are billing you the annual fee for both.
Needless to say, after 5 years of going there my husband and I were in SHOCK and extremely hurt by the owners Cold and vindictive actions. Nevertheless, we moved on, but what really hurt us was the fact that when we saw them at competitions they completely IGNORED our kids who had nothing to do with all this unnecessary drama, and also belittled our oldest daughter by criticizing her low scores and discussing it with her former teammates who came back and told her what was said the next day at school.
One thing is for grown adults to act foolish and immature about a business matter with other adults, but to ignore or mistreat a child that once considered your gym HOME is plain heartless. I always say hello to their children and even them if I see them. Afterall, this is recreational gymnastics NOT THE OLYMPICS!!! but I know... and any parent who decides to leave will KNOW, our kids are nothing but a number to this family and because they never own up to their mistakes, lack of organization and unprofessionalism many are considering leaving this year, and its just so unfortunate.
I just dont get business owners these days...I really dont...

The only intention of this review is to express my experience with Coral Reef.

After my daughter (6 years old) went there for a month or so she did not wanted go back because she said they were meant. She was so frustrated to the point she did not wanted to go to any other facility at that time which surprise us because she is a person who follows direction. She has very good grades in advanced class, so she is not a trouble maker in any way.

I called Coral Reef, sent an email to cancel, but because I could not cancel with a months in advance in writing they sent me to collection for $450.90. They included fees, plus insurance, plus registration. I had to make a payment otherwise they would damage my credit. I created a case with Better Business Bureau.

I remember It was a time my daughter went to the training area at the right time thinking her classmate were there and a male trainer took her out in a way I did not see the reason why he did that. At that time I did not know how my daughter was feeling about Coral Reef otherwise, I would have complained.

The first payment, they charged me full amount even when they knew was a short month (Christmas) When I complained they gave me credit back.

In that month (December) they cancelled several classes and never gave me any credit.

I had a horrible experience with their aftercare program. My 5 year old started aftercare last August 20, 2012 and right before Labor Day Weekend (2 wks into the program) I found out through my then 5 year old that she was being transported by a coach in the owner’s personal vehicle with no car seats and “without our consent” after having been promised that a “school bus” would be used to pick up my daughter from her school to be brought to the gym. After I asked the owner in person and she confirmed that this was true, and after asking her if she had proper insurance and licenses to use her vehicle as a public vehicle to transport children and received no answer, I immediately pulled my daughter out of the program with a written note handed over to her. The date I pulled her out was the day after Labor Day which fell on Sept 4th, thus she did not attend the program the month of September. About 2 weeks ago I received a letter from a collection agency demanding $319.95 which it’s what I supposedly owe the gym for the month of September. When I called Carla, the owner, she immediately remembered me and stated it was because I didn’t give her their required “30 day notice”. Not only did she deceive us about using her own personal vehicle, but because she was caught doing it she retaliated and sent me to collections. Their website states "We Use Safe School Buses Not Passenger Vans" really, they don’t use either one. Up to this day she is not willing to withdraw the account from collections. Also, the place was overcrowded with kids of all ages mixed in one room that only had long picnic tables not making it a fun place for the kids. Parents beware, this is definetly not the place you’d like to bring your little one to.

I AM COMPLETELY AT EASE KNOWING MY TWO PRECIOUS BOYS ADAM AND MICKEY ARE AT CORAL REEF GYMNASTICS MON THRU FRI FROM 3PM TO 7PM. THEY ARE QUALITY PEOPLE: OWNERS, STAFF MEMBERS, AND CLIENTS. I THINK THAT THIS INSTITUTION SHOULD BE USED AS FEDERAL MODEL FOR BEST PRACTICES FOR CHILDREN ACTIVITIES FACILITIES. STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE ARE CREATED AND UHELD DAY IN AND DAY OUT. IF I SHOULD WIN THIS $600 MILLION POWER BALL THIS WEEKEND THE FIRST CHARITABLE ACT WOULD BE TO CUT CARLA A CHECK FOR A WHOPPING $10 MILLION. THERE SHOULD BE A CORAL REEF GYMNASTICS IN EVERY CITY(MAJOR OR RURAL) IN THIS COUNTRY. THE PLACE IS A SAFE HAVEN FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS. I JUMP OUT THE CAR AS SOON AS MY WIFE AND I PULL UP JUST SO I COULD ENJOY WATCHING THE CHILDREN'S PROGRESS AND SMALL TALK WITH OTHER PARENTS. ITS BETTER THEN THE DAILY ESPN JARGON AT THE WATER COOLER OR EVEN OFFICE GOSSIP. I URGE ANYONE WHO LOVES THEIR CHILDREN AND WANT TO SEE NOTHING BUT GREAT EXPOSURE TO ALL THINGS GOOD ENROLL THEM AT CORAL REEF GYMNASTICS IMMEDIATELY. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING I COULD THINK OF ABOUT CARLA IS THAT SHE HAS NOT GIVEN STEVE A SON YET. I LOVE THIS WOMEN. SHE IS MY SHERO!!!!! CORAL REEF GYMNASTICS RULES!!!!!

My son and daughter have been participating in the after school program for four years after trying a number of different after care programs. coral reef is superior to theothers in thatthey truly care about your child. My daughter also competes with Coral Reef and my son takes martial arts lessons. The staff and coaches encourage the children to reach their potential without communicating that winning is everything. They focus on skill development and fun while devloping a healthy competitive spirit. Strive to do your best!

My daughter has grown up at Coral Reef. What started out as a stint at Summer Camp when she was 4 years old, has turned into her second family. She is now almost 9. Not only has she turned into a talented gymnast, she has gained valuable life lessons, exudes confidence, learned what it means to be part of a team, and has prospered from the discipline, hard work, and determination in all facets of her life in and outside of the gym.

Our daughter has developed so much in the 3 years at Coral Reef Gymnastics in large part because of dedication and demand for excellence shown by the ownership, coaches and trainers at Coral Reef . There is certainly a family atmosphere, however when the gymnast walk through those glass doors and on to the mats its all about hard work.

There are classes, intructions and camps for every level, convenient and affordable for all families.

No better place for you kids. They fell like a part of a big family. My kids have been there for almost four years and they loved it. At the same time the kids get discipline and improve a lot their self esteem.

I've been taking my girls to Coral Reef for the past year. One is in gymnastics and the other takes the mixed martial arts class. Everyone from the owner Carla to the coaches are very warm and welcoming. My girls love the classes, coaches and we all have met some really nice people who we now consider friends. Glad we switched to Coral Reef Gymnastic!
