The Hoist weight machines are incredible. There is absolutely no pressure on your joints. This makes them superior to any other machine.

Natural Motion: The "rocking" or "ride oriented" motion mimics the body's natural movement, preventing the forcing of joints into awkward, fixed angles typical of traditional machines.

After 57 years of weight training and 3 months from turning 70 years old, these Hoist machines are a game changer if you want to stay in the game.

Crunch fitness, now we'll start this off by saying what I do like about this gym in particular. Ya know dessert before supper kinda deal lol. The staff are friendly. I wish I could remember the young ladies name that helped me sign up for a membership and gave me a tour of the facility. She was knowledgeable and friendly. Was great with her sales pitch. I also love all the amenities and the space of everything. It didn't seem crowded. The bathrooms seemed clean but I didn't really use them I just saw them from afar. One cool thing I can say is the lockers. You don't have to worry about bringing your own lock, there lockers have a special coded lock on it that you can change everytime you use it. Just enter a code and then lock it and boom it's locked.
I also want to address some of the negative reviews I've seen about this location or crunch fitness itself. There is no contract when you sign up but I was informed that it is a 3 month minimum requirement before you cancel which isn't too bad and you will get charged your annual fee on the second month. As far as cancelling in person and not over the phone, most gyms are like that which I don't necessarily agree with but that is the fact of the matter.
Now to the meat and potatoes. My BIGGEST pet peeve when working out is an untidy and disorganized gym. Now I didn't take any pictures for the privacy of the other gym goers but when I tell you that not one weight was reracked on the upper body side it was unsettling. All of the bench presses weights were just laying on the floor next to where they needed to go. Now I do blame crunch fitness for this! If it is a rule in the gym to rerack then it is the gyms responsibility to enforce that rule. Set the example for your gym goers and it will eventually become habit for all members to rerack.
This next complaint is just a personal complaint. Nothing to do with the gym. I love working out on peace but the only time I can go to the gym is after work. It does get pretty busy during 5-7 which sucks but that again is my own problem. Love to see it so busy but hate that I cannot get up in the morning before work to go and enjoy it in peace.

All that go say I think this gym is good. Not the best but good. If you just need a local gym that isn't gonna break the bank than this is definitely a good option depending on the time you go. If I ever get to take pictures while it's emptier than I will try to come back and update this review.

Right now I’m giving it a 3. We just joined and I was excited to join because the gym seems more fun with different amenities and classes. What I didn’t like was the personal training and my experience with Valentina. After repeatedly saying I couldn’t afford it, I felt pressured. As soon as I met her after working with Omar (who was very kind and supportive I thought) I could feel my demeanor change. I felt very uncomfortable and felt she was a bit condescending. She made me feel like a small child. I know her job is sales but so is mine and her sales pitch went way too far for me. After my husband went into cancel on my behalf because I was at work in tears because I am in so much pain, she proceeded to tell him “well I could tell she was really out of shape”. I hope I never run into her because I will have words. First of all, you stretch your clients before a work out-partially my fault for not speaking up but you don’t tell ANYONE “I could tell they were really out of shape!” I hope Valentina doesn’t have any insecurities of her own. There’s always karma. I just thought Crunch was supposed to be no judgement. Let’s just say I feel plenty judged, not to mention angry -especially at this seemingly child who thinks it’s okay to use someone’s health as a guilt trip to get them to do something. I can work out just fine with out personal training. I wish it was never brought to my attention.

Stay away from Crunch Fitness. They do **not** honor their own 3-day cancellation policy. The gym is overcrowded, the classes are always full, and I couldn’t even book a trial class. My first session with a trainer was cut short because he had other people waiting.

I went **in person** and also emailed to cancel within the 3-day window back in **September 2025**. They told me they “put a note in the system” and that I just needed to wait for corporate, assuring me not to worry — yet they never provided a cancellation number or any official record.

Despite all that, they have continued trying to charge my account every single month. It’s now **November**, and they attempted to charge me yet again.

Overall, it’s been the worst gym experience I’ve ever had. I absolutely do not recommend Crunch Fitness.

I used to go there before heading to work. I'd workout then shower then head to work. But the showers are so filthy that I can't take it any more. You have a full staff, just have someone walk through every hour or so to make sure the place showers are clean and have shower gel and whatever. The showers don't have to be gross for the gym to be manly.

Was going to sign up with this location, but there are just too many reviews about how they are scamming customers in various ways. Canceling your membership should be as easy as one click on the website. You shouldn’t have to come in person at a specific date/time and have to speak to one person who may or may not be there. They make it very easy to sign up it should be just as easy to cancel. This is not how you run an honest business. Shame on them.

I moved out of state. I’ve been very rudely told I can’t cancel over the phone, which is funny because they signed me up over the phone. I never have stepped foot in that gym. Literally never once all I want is to cancel. I have mailed letters to corporate as instructed and I’m still being charged. If you don’t need me in person to sign up, you shouldn’t need me in person to cancel. Please help me cancel my membership and I will be happy to remove this post.

I’m very disappointed with Crunch Fitness. I canceled my membership last month after being charged, yet I was charged again this month. The cancellation process was confusing and unclear, and I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of and charged wrongfully.

My wife is also upset and will be canceling her membership too. This level of miscommunication and lack of transparency is unacceptable. Crunch Fitness needs to fix their process and stop making it so hard for customers to cancel.

I signed up for Crunch gym and for a personal trainer. I signed up for 3.

sessions only. I was charged for a 4th session and funds were withdrawn from my checking acct. I was promised a refund several weeks ago and still haven't received my refund. Don't let Crunch Fitness deduct from your bank account.
I did get my refund after weeks of yelling and texting.
Now after 4 months they are replying to my review.SHADY!!!

First, they say sign up with a multi gym membership then you can downgrade to a single gym membership. Then when you try to downgrade, that’s not possible. Then you get brought back at the single gym rate and you’re told you don’t have to pay that yearly fee again because you just paid it when you canceled last time. Then they charge you that yearly fee again and now it’s hard to get that money back. Beware.

I normally go in the morning and have a good experience. But I went around noon time for the first time and couldn’t find any sanitizing wipes, and there was no soap in the woman’s restroom. This means that no one is cleaning the machines, or washing their hands after using the restroom. Totally grossed out!

Extremely Disappointed with the Management and Environment

I’ve been training at this gym every single day. I’ve always spoken highly about it and even brought multiple friends and new clients here. I work out with my boyfriend and my close friend — and because we’re often together, the Personal Training Manager decided to accuse us of running personal training sessions inside the gym.

Let me be very clear: my boyfriend is not a personal trainer. He does not work in fitness, does not get paid, and is only helping me and my friend train because I don’t feel confident working out alone. That’s all.

Even after we explained this, he kept insisting and even sent a lawyer’s letter accusing us. Now he’s asking the personal trainers to take photos and videos of us while we’re working out. This is not just uncomfortable — it’s invasive and completely inappropriate.

Every day we feel watched, judged, and mistreated. Instead of focusing on their own clients and doing their jobs, the staff here is more interested in gossip, false accusations, and controlling who works out with who. We don’t feel respected. We don’t feel welcomed.

This is not how paying customers should be treated.
I’ve spoken to other people who had similar experiences, and I honestly regret ignoring the warnings I got when I first joined. The energy here is toxic — it feels like all they care about is money and control, not the well-being or comfort of their members.

I came here to work out, not to be monitored and harassed.

Also, I had a trainer named Bridget and really liked working with her but she had to leave so now I've been training with Lauren and she's awesome. I enjoy every minute with her. The manager Mario Gonzales misguided my wife when she was trying to cancel after over a year as a member. Told her she had to pay 3 months in advance even though there is a 30 day notice policy. Swiped her card for 3 separate transactions and made her sign on 3 different occasions. All this after she called and was told she could cancel and would have to pay for 1 additional month as per the 30 day notice policy. He had no answers for any of our questions. Ridiculous. CRUNCH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE AND INCONVENIENT TO CANCEL TJEIR CONTRACT IF YOU NO LONGER WANT THE MEMBERSHIP!!!! When signing up everyone is so very pleasant but be very careful of their cancellation policy. I signed up for the business account that has a 90 day no cancellation period which was fine. I realized I don’t have the time to use the services so I decided to cancel on the final
Month. I called and was advised cancellation had to be done in person again that was fine and I would be charged for the final month as agreed again I was fine as this was the agreement. I went in to the gym on Saturday which was my day off to cancel I was told my cancellation had to be done on the exact date and could not be done before or after otherwise I would have to be charged an additional month. I explained I was traveling on 7/26 an it would be impossible to ne back in person to cancel. I was then told I could cancel today 7/12 but I would have to pay my cancellation payment today instead of the scheduled date of 7/26 again I agreed. I have had the membership for 3 months then added a personal trainer membership a month and a half later I was told that with personal membership now on my account It had to be cancelled with a personal membership manager. There was no manager present from personal membership and a manager is not available until Monday after 8am-5pm. I work Monday to Friday I was told these were the only available times and I could not cancel my membership. I explained I would need to take an entire day off from work to come in to cancel a membership that was so easy to purchase when they want you to join the club. PLS READ CRUNCH CONTRACT CAREFULLY AS THEY MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE AND VERY INCONVENIENT TO CANCEL. I WILL NOT EVEN KEEP A REGULAR MEMBERSHIP WITH THEM AT THIS POINT. I DONT WANT TO BE HELD HOSTAGE!!!

I just have to give this bad review, hoping the gym will fix this. The group class room floor is filthy and disgusting! That floor never gets cleaned, full of floating hair on the floor. my zumba socks got Black !! after the class, and full of yucky hair 🤮. Cleanness should be a must in a gym. Other Crunch Fitness where i go they are constantly cleaning the group class floor and bathrooms.
Also they had a substitute class trainer, at one of the classes he was clueless of what he was doing. Please select good substitute replacements for classes.

I also notice, the management ONLY responds and comments to the 5 stars reviews at this particular location. The reason people leave bad reviews is in the hope to acknowledge, to improve or fix what is needed.

This was my first time attending her Hot Pilates class, and I was truly blown away. Laura has an incredible energy that fills the room and uplifts everyone in it. Her positive affirmations, motivation, and passion for what she does are undeniable. She not only challenges you, but also encourages you every step of the way — reminding you that you can do it.

Her class left me feeling fulfilled, energized, and inspired. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students and brings her full self into the room. Laura is a phenomenal instructor and a true asset to your company. You’re lucky to have her!

Terrific gym with plenty of free weights and machines that minimize wait times. My only beef are the TVs in the treadmill room. For several weeks now two of the twelve TVs are turned off. Three TVs have ads on a continuous scroll (Boo! But I get it you’re trying to bring revenue). So that leaves 7 working but only one TV has ESPN! Come on! We need sports highlights to take our mind off the pain and suffering (in a good way). We want more ESPN!

I love love love this gym, I love the location, I love the staff, including the front desk team. I have a personal trainer Natalia who is absolutely amazing and has helped me so much in my fitness journey. I am so thankful for the people who work here and I love the equipment!! Moved to this location because my original home location is WAY TOO CROWDED and never has equipment available. I was here on a weekday around 5pm and it was not crowded at all compared to the other locations i’ve been too. I had to wait for a machine once for like 5 mins which wasn’t a huge deal. This will now be my go to location. Only thing i’d say that needs improvement is cleanliness, there was overflowing trash bins and wipes all over the place under equipment from prior people wiping down things and not throwing it away

Disappointed by Priorities at Crunch Gym

The facility itself has potential, but the front desk experience is consistently disappointing. It seems the primary focus is not on wellness or community, but on relentless upselling. You’ll receive frequent calls—not to check on your progress or experience—but to push additional memberships or services.

What’s even more frustrating is their outdated policy on youth fitness. In a time where promoting healthy habits among teens is critical, it’s baffling that young adults ages 15 and up aren’t permitted—even with supervision. Many reputable clubs understand that fitness is a family investment, yet Crunch chooses red tape over real value.

This place might work for some, but for those seeking a gym that values long-term relationships, family inclusivity, and a high standard of member experience, it leaves much to be desired.

They are SCAMMERS, I went for the "free pass" that arrived in the mailbox of my house, when they arrive they take away your ID, they deceive you with the membership plans, I said no to everything and they don't let you go until they get what they want (they only want a signature from you to take away your money) they told me that I would only pay $1 that day and then $29.99 every month, but since I didn't like it, it seemed to me that there were too many people and I couldn't use any machine I decided to cancel because they had told me that I could cancel at any time "FALSE". They told me that just for me to sign, I tried to talk about my situation with the staff there and they treated me badly, especially a girl called "SOFÍA" has no empathy with the public and treats people badly, when leaving the place upset two people told me that they were also going to wait the three months to cancel because they were also SCAMMED and that the girl "SOFÍA" was rude to everyone. Anyway, if they want to be scammed and start fighting to have your membership canceled, this is the place of the biggest scams, hopefully they close it and FITNESS returns

UPDATE: While not perfect, they made a very good item at fixing the saunas. The strip they added to the bottom of the doors for some reason was too short, so there’s about a 30% gap on the bottom letting in a lot of cold air. Also, the door itself still does not close properly. They should get the original contractors out there to fix that.

Gym is a million times better than the La Fitness that was there before, but they haven’t fixed the sauna in both the ladies and men’s locker area. It’s been months

I’ve been part of this gym since it opened. They took the space from LA fitness of which I was a member for over 10 years.

Issue:
I’m on the arm press machine. The gym is about 1/3 full and plenty of machine are open and available.

Man, gets the machine next to mine and the proceeds to get my attention. He ask me how many sets do I have left, I respond, I’m just starting. He says, Can I go in between sets?

I say, I prefer not… please give me 5 min and you can have it.

He says that crunch policy, you are suppose to share equipment.
I said, so you are saying I have to share with you

He said yes, but I will allow you this time… by way my name is Henry and I’m a manager here

I just got up from the equipment, wiped it down and said you can have it.

He just looked at me…

This is very concerning. With the high rise Flu and the remaining concern of Covid it is not sanitary to share equipment especially if the gym is not crowded.

I felt harassed and extremely uncomfortable with his approach. I have never had such an encounter and this unnecessary. He embarrassed me to the point I just left without completing my workout. I didn’t sign up for this kind of treatment.

Further, I searched for the Crunch stated policy of mandatory sharing in between sets and could not find one. Please advise?

I cancelled my membership and tried to cancel my personal training, the personal training manager Sean told me I should pause it and cancel after I use my final session because I would likely lose it if I cancelled my personal training. (That’s a lie I wouldn’t have lost it… I found that out after) I did as he advised and paused it, and when I had my final session I went right to the front to cancel my personal training.they told me I can’t even though my membership ended because I need to wait until I’m charged again for another session. I don’t even have access to the gym anymore and I only paused because the manager told me I would be able to cancel after I use it… I literally told him my situation and he knew the whole time he was just screwing me over ,no morals lol. As a personal training manager he knew what he was doing and intentionally lied to make me do something that was not in my best interest. He said the same thing to my boyfriend but my boyfriend just cancelled anyways. I love my trainer and would have returned to this gym as well as left a good review but the guy Sean definitely is shady.

Honestly hate to do reviews like this but Management needs to be aware and do better. I love the gym itself and equipment, but the locker rooms are not being well maintained and cleaned. Bathrooms are gross and locker rooms are dirty, garbage and people's dirty clothes left on the floor. People need to check up and keep It clean more often.. I have never once seen a maintenance or anyone going around cleaning at this location. Also dress code is not being enforced. Lots of kids walking around wearing Slides and Socks and pajamas even. Also the Too many News channels on most of the TVs in the cardio area. It's okay if one is but not every other one. Some people actually go in there to focus on themselves and don't want to have politics shoved in their face.

I am generally a fan of Crunch Fitness, particularly the Coral Ridge location. The facility is well-maintained, and I appreciate the range of equipment and services offered. However, my recent interaction with the front desk attendant, Baggio, left much to be desired and warrants some constructive feedback.

On January 13, 2025, at approximately 6:30 AM, I visited the Coral Ridge location to have my account transferred from the Atlantic Avenue branch. Unfortunately, rather than assisting with a seamless transition, Baggio mistakenly deleted my account altogether—even though it was fully up-to-date. He assured me that I would receive an email regarding the resolution, but I never received it.

While I understand that mistakes can happen, what stood out was his dismissive and unprofessional demeanor throughout the interaction. Instead of offering a sincere apology or attempting to make the situation right, his tone bordered on curt, which only added to my frustration. As a paying member who is interested in pursuing personal training, this experience left me questioning the level of service provided at the front desk.

I highly recommend providing Baggio with additional training on account management and customer service. An ability to empathize and resolve issues effectively is essential when interacting with members, especially those who rely on the staff for support and guidance.

Despite this incident, I continue to value Crunch as a fitness center and remain hopeful that this feedback will be taken into account to improve future experiences for myself and others.

I was very happy to start at this gym but quickly found out that the business is ran very unethically.

These people are taking advantage of me. After I cancelled my membership, they continue to charge me PT sessions. I bought individual PT sessions which they told me they didn’t usually do, but that they would accommodate me. Once I was working with a trainer, I realized it wasn’t for me. I told Maria I would check in to use my last session in a month.

Crunch continued to charge me for PT sessions under the pretense that I had signed a contract. Even though the first time they made me sign it and then told me not to worry about it. After I told them I didn’t not authorize any more charges, and I cancelled my account and paid for my last month, they continued to charge me for PT sessions. At this point, it seems malicious. I have called my bank to dispute charges and Crunch charged me again. My bank said that at this point it is stealing.

These people don’t care about their clients. I asked to speak to the PR manager Henry and was told he would contact me but he never did. I had to call the gym so many times before he finally answered.

I do not like the way I was treated. I have asked to speak to Henry and Sean’s supervisor and nobody can provide that information. This seems very strange and illegal. I have the right as a consumer to speak to their supervisor.

On top of all of that, the bathrooms are often broken. The men’s sauna is always out of order. This place is a huge disappointment. I am writing this review in hopes that a supervisor will contact me and get me in touch with the person on top.

DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES!!
I am not one to leave reviews like this but need to share. I came in for a free trial I received on 11/26/2024. I was told I could not use my free pass for whatever reason, which led me to believe the whole "Free Pass" is a total sham. The staff told me I could just sign up for a "month-to-month no contract membership" & cancel within 3 days. The staff was very aggressive & bullyish, which prompted me to cancel membership that night after my workout. I decided to give it another chance, thinking it was maybe a one-off situation: SUCH a stupid MISTAKE.

I re-signed up and come back with my best friend and had another terrible experience with the staff being aggressive, predatory, and RUDE to me & my friend. They made her out to be a cheap free-loader for "piggybacking" off of my membership rather than buying one for herself. Need I say, THIS IS NOT FREE. I am paying more money for the guest privileges. Absolutely unacceptable. My friend, who was considering joining at first, left pissed off, rightfully so, & was going to leave a bad review BUT decided to be amicable and just go in to cancel my membership & let bygones be bygones so I can move on to Planet Fitness, or something. Another MISTAKE.

FYI: I only used the gym 2 times at this point.

They told me I couldn't cancel because of a 3 month contract that I was never informed of. I originally asked if there were any contracts up front because I've had bad experiences like this with gym contracts that make it impossible to cancel & they said NO & "I wouldn't have to worry about that here"! (Advertised on the website it literally even says "Month-to-Month No Commitment"!)

I spoke to the GM, Tristan, about cancelling & he said, "corporate would reject it". I asked to submit it anyway to document my case even if it gets rejected but he refused and also refused to provide ANY contact info of anyone above him including corporate HQ or the Regional Manager (who after pulling it out of him I only got the first name being DOMINIC ... but I am not allowed to contact him). So Tristan says there is NO ONE above him I can talk to. HOW?!

Now I am expected to pay for an annual fee along with 3 months of un-utilized gym membership fees with NO ability to dispute?

If you call the "corporate number", you get a prompt & then it hangs up.

I wish I knew the NEFARIOUS business practices Crunch Fitness operates under before giving a second chance. It's no kidding they aren't BBB Accredited!

The Coral Ridge Coral Sorings Fl Crunch location is pulling a guest pass scam. Potential illegal Bait and switch scam and at minimum dirty disgusting tactics. They gave my son (who is already a mid tier Peak member) a free 1 day guest pass 6 days before an expiration date of 12/18. On 12/17. I drove across town to use free guest pass with my son. They told me the only way to use the pass today is to have my son upgrade his membership to Peak results for more $, pay $ for a day pass, or sign up that day for membership. I told him I didn’t want to do that today I just wanted to try 1 day exactly as the terms on my free one day pass (I have never been to a crunch fitness before so it’s not like I’m trying to scam multiple free days- actually I wanted to try the gym to probably sign my wife and I up). He said he is not accepting day pass today because it is a holiday. The date was 12/17 and a Tuesday. He said well it was “holiday time”. He refused to give me his real name but goes by “capt crunch”. His name tag says capt crunch. He also said he was a manager and he would not call another manager over . What kind of manager would not give his real name. He was also at the front when I showed up giving out 1 day passes (so if they weren’t accepting passes why were they still passing them out) . The pass does not state anything about holidays and has an expiration date of 12/18 on it. This is a total scam. This business is Giving free 1 day passes out that are impossible to use- I met all the qualifications on the pass: over 18, within pass expiration date, I had my id, and 1st time guest. Captain crunch is a very rude, arrogant employee…and who calls themselves “capt crunch” in a professional business environment and won’t give their real name when requested. I gave him 2 opportunities to reconsider letting me use the pass…. and let him know I will be posting my experience- he said go ahead he doesn’t care so even though I don’t post neg reviews I have to follow through on what I promised him I would do. They had potential to get 4 new members…not happening now. Any company that would allow this unscrupulous behavior probably has other scams going on.

Unfortunately, what should have been a positive start to my Thanksgiving holiday morning was overshadowed by a negative encounter with one of your employees “Sofia,” who I understand is part of your management team.

The issue arose when I sought clarification regarding attending a spinning class. Instead of addressing the matter professionally, Sofia became noticeably rude, dismissing my concerns and stating that she was “not going to go back and forth” with me, as though I were an adolescent. This tone and rhetoric were not only unprofessional but also unnecessary, especially over such a minor issue.

I believe this situation could have been handled far more effectively and with courtesy, which is what I expect from a management-level employee. The experience left me feeling frustrated and disrespected, tarnishing what should have been an uplifting start to the holiday.

I strongly recommend that Sofia undergoes further training on conflict resolution and customer service to prevent similar incidents in the future. Ensuring a welcoming and respectful environment is vital for member satisfaction, and I hope my feedback will be taken seriously.

It’s a good gym with good equipment but the owners do not enforce people taking photos inside the gym locker room and bathroom. It is impossible to get changed without running the risk of being in someone’s picture. It’s a serious violation of one’s privacy and a recipe for disaster if someone gets their picture taken and decide to sue the gym. There is a clear violation of privacy by the gym not enforcing rules as well as posting on their instagram account said photos of members clearly in the bathroom/Lockeroom.
Not only they don’t enforce, but they also celebrate with a instagram post. Please change that so people can feel comfortable going back to the gym without being at risk.

I came in on a Sunday morning with my mom as her guest. I live in Orlando and was just visiting for the weekend so there’s no way I would get a membership. First thing when I walk in they have me fill out waivers, nothing unusual. Then I’m told I need to have a questionnaire about my lifestyle and workout regime. Still nothing too crazy but me and my mom politely stated I did not want a membership and only had 45 min to workout. She insisted I do the questionnaire. After that was done she had me do a tour of the facility after we repeatedly asked not to due to time issue and me NOT getting a membership. Manager was nearby and did not say anything while my mom especially was clearly upset. It overall took like 15 min for everything when I could have been working out and had a proper guest experience being able to workout with my mom. Crunch fitness features brand new equipment, very helpful and kind staff and a little black sheep AKA the rowing machines. I have been rowing for too many years and this machines do not mimic the real deal. Most probably air resistance machines. I would choose the magnetic resistance whose resistance is constant and independent from the speed you row. I consider these air based machines not the best for the body muscles. Prove that I may not be the only thinking of it, is that the gym has four machines and in one month I only saw two people using one of them. Not a good investment.
