I had one of the worst customer service experiences today at Crunch Fitness. I went in to cancel my membership, even though I had already paid my monthly fee on November 6th. The guy currently working at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment I approached him. He didn’t greet me, didn’t make eye contact, and wouldn’t even let me speak.

Every time I tried to explain my situation or ask why I was being told to pay again, he interrupted me and repeated the same thing over and over: “If you want to cancel, you have to pay. You have to pay the $96.” He refused to give me any explanation, refused to clarify the charges, and acted like he didn’t care at all about helping a member understand the policy.

I also mentioned that I’m moving urgently to an area where there is no Crunch near my new home, and he still offered no assistance, no alternatives, nothing. His attitude made it clear he had no intention of providing proper customer service.

This was a very disappointing and disrespectful experience, and it left me with the impression that Crunch Fitness prioritizes charging extra fees over treating their members with basic professionalism and courtesy.

I was charged $140.00 for services that I never approved. When I asked about the charges they said there was nothing they could do about it. I had to go to my bank to put a charge back and replace my credit card. Bunch of crooks.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Crunch Fitness Coral Springs. When I signed up, I was explicitly told by an employee, Nico, that my membership would be month-to-month and could be cancelled at any time without additional charges. Based on this representation, I enrolled.

However, I was later informed that I am bound to a contract and must pay the remaining balance of $103.52 to cancel. This directly contradicts the information provided at signup and feels like a misrepresentation of the terms.

I have made repeated attempts to resolve this locally: I reached out to Zoey and sent a legal document via email to Elly, who refused to provide Zoey’s contact information. Neither employee has responded. I also spoke with John this morning, who said he would pass my information along to Zoey, but I have very little confirmation that this will happen.

If this issue cannot be resolved locally, my next step will be to have my attorney escalate this matter with corporate, disputing the validity of the contract terms under which Crunch Fitness is attempting to hold me financially responsible.

Absolutely disgusted with Crunch Coral Springs. My sister has been trying to cancel her membership for over a year despite not having set foot in the gym once. She has called, emailed, and even gone in person, and they still refuse to cancel her account. Every time she tries, they come up with a new excuse or “policy” to delay or deny the cancellation.

Now they’ve sent her to collections for a membership she has been begging them to end. They won’t offer a single solution unless she pays for something she never used and that continues to accrue charges. This is beyond poor management, it’s predatory. They clearly count on people giving up just so they can keep charging them.

It’s appalling that a business would treat customers this way. Save yourself the headache and do not waste your time or money here. There are plenty of gyms that treat people with respect and transparency. Crunch Coral Springs should be ashamed.

The gym is very good overall. It has a good equipment selection and a nice layout. But the best part is my personal trainer, Andrea Rodriguez. She's an amazing person and a great trainer. I've gone to the gym for years, and learned a lot on my own, so I'm not a beginner... But Andrea has consistently challenged me with her programs, and she's taught me new techniques to improve what I was already doing. Leg and glute workouts are especially good/tough. Wherever Andrea is at, is where I'll be!

I had a really disappointing experience at this gym. The place is very dirty and has an unpleasant smell, and the crowd isn’t great either. I signed up for a membership, but after seeing the conditions, I wanted to cancel right away. However, I was told that I have to wait three months before I can cancel and that I must go in person to sign the cancellation. This doesn’t make sense since I was able to sign up online with no problem. The staff were also very disrespectful and unhelpful throughout the process.

I adore my trainer DADLEY!
He's kind but firm, knowledgeable and patient, flexible yet structured.
He's very committed to my fitness journey bc he lives by what he teaches. I like that he gives me new workouts, increases my weight, and encourages me to do more reps. He structures the entire workout according to my fitness goals of increasing my stamina and energy level. He even helped me create a food tracker through apps where i can count my calories, protein, fat, and carbs. It’s been about two months since I started my fitness journey with THE best personal trainer, Jasmine. The gym itself is better than most I’ve been to. Machines and equipment are usually readily available since they have multiples of the same. But my rating is specifically due to the experience I’ve had with my trainer Stephen. He’s unlike any trainer I’ve ever worked with and his approach totally aligns with what i need. He even goes above and beyond which i feel deserves recognition. He has motivated me to keep pushing every day and when i have setbacks he understands and helps me adjust. He truly is someone who cares about his clients success. In fact, one of the things I’ve noticed about him is that he speaks in terms of “us” “we” bc he sees this journey as a team effort, he and i, and i can’t express enough how much that makes a difference for me.

I'm adding to the chorus of people complaining about how dangerously loud the music was playing yesterday. I saw so many people in the gym look around in disbelief at how loud the music had gotten. Next thing I knew, half the gym cleared out. I'm sure they'd had enough. I tolerated to get through my workout. But this can't continue. This is a place to get healthier, why should we risk permanent hearing damage?? Not to mention, it's just not cool to be forced to listen to someone else's playlist because you can't hear your own through your headphones! It was utterly intolerable and unacceptable.

The gym employees are charlatans and act more like car salesman than personal fitness instructors. Gym it self is good, clean facilities, and fair price. The gym bro personal fitness "managers" who trap you in a contract? Absolutely abysmal. They use car dealer like tactics to get you to sign up for personal training that you can't just get out of when you want, often costing you thousands of dollars. They use lines like, "oh okay, can't do this price, well what price can you do." Literally like a car salesman. The object being to get you to buy in rather than anything else. I’m truly taken back. I’ve never left a review before, but my experience with Crunch absolutely deserves one. I moved away and forgot to update my billing info — a simple mistake. When I called to sort it out, instead of helping, the former manager was unbelievably rude and condescending. She literally told me “it’s your responsibility” to remember to change my card info, like I wasn’t already trying to fix it. She made me cry over the phone with how dismissive and harsh she was.

And the worst part? She knew I was crying. She could hear me on the phone upset and instead of showing a shred of compassion, she doubled down and kept being an absolute monster. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. When I asked for a manager, she smugly said, “I used to be the manager and this is how they trained me.” Trained to be rude, disrespectful, and to offer no solutions? Because that’s exactly how she acted. Over and over, she just repeated, “that’s the only thing I can do for you. Take it or leave it or call back.” And on top of it hung up angry.

No member should ever be treated that way, especially when they’re already upset and just trying to fix a billing issue. This location needs better leadership and customer service.

Beyond shady. I signed up for a 1 day free trial on the website. When I went inside to use it, the person at the front explained to me that the "coral springs system cannot process free trials." She then offered to sell me a day pass for $15. I told her no. She said they have deals on enrollment right now. I explained that I wpukd very likely sign up after I redeemed by free 1 day trial. She then declined to accept the free trial, and again offered me a $15 day pass.

I am 16 years and decided to go to this gym with a friend, I got told it would be $9.99 I then would get deducted $19 saying it was just a fee then it reoccurred again and when I tried to cancel they state I would have to pay MORE MONEY to cancel the membership. I’m beyond frustrated with this gym. They constantly advertise as being open 24 hours, but that’s simply not true. More often than not, they open late without any notice or communication. No emails, no app notifications, nothing, just locked doors when you show up expecting a workout.

I received a 3 day pass from crunch to try and see if I would join. At check in they held my ID and had to wait to get my ID when leaving the gym. Another thing I went on my day 2 to see if i was sold on this place and I was told that was only a 1 day pass and had 3 days to use it. The email clearly says its a 3 day pass and I have to use within 1 week of 8.1.25. Regardless the gym was less than impressive. Not alot of machines. Place was dirty, however the bathrooms were very clean. Im taking business elsewhere

Customer service at this location is the worst I’ve ever experienced. You have a young lady at the desk that refuses to listen to provide assistance with a simple billing issue. Another rep Nicko who refuses to address the issue and a manager Denis who has a very condescending nasty attitude. Had to call another gym who within 1 second provided me with the info I needed to resolve the issue. But the bad experience with this gym made me want to cancel all together which could’ve been avoided. Would not recommend this location to anyone. Inconsistent Opening Times – Frustrating Experience

On Mondays, the gym is supposed to open at 5:00 AM. Unfortunately, this has not been the case on multiple occasions. Today, I left at 5:20 AM after waiting with a group of others—doors still locked. I simply don't have time to wait around, and it’s unreasonable to have no backup plan in place when scheduled staff don't show up.

This continued lack of reliability has led me to consider switching gyms. I’ll be lowering my membership, and cancellation is very likely if this isn't resolved soon.

I’ve been a Crunch member for almost two years, coming to this location DAILY. On a Sunday, I was chased down by Assistant Manager Zoey and told there was an issue with my insurance-based membership and that I couldn’t come in. Since the company doesn’t operate on Sundays, it wasn’t something I could solve right away. I asked if there was anything that could be done? Assistant Manager Zoey said no. I asked if she could re-enter my Fitness Your Way member ID to check again, she said no. I asked for a day pass until I could contact Fitness Your Way the next day, once again, she said straight up no to everything without a logical reason.

She was completely dismissive and refused to help in absolutely any way, despite the fact that day passes are usually handed out like nothing. Telling me to buy a whole new membership when I already have one?… let’s use rational thinking. I called Fitness Your Way the next day, and all they said was that she just needed to re-enter my information, EXACTLY what I had asked her to do and she told me NO. My membership was active and up to date. She just wouldn’t do absolutely anything to help me, and still ended up charging me for a whole day, when my membership was ACTIVE.

What makes everything worse is that Zoey often rolls her eyes at me when I walk in, which adds to the already unwelcoming vibe that only comes from her. Everyone else here is kind and welcoming. I usually ignored this until the day she wouldn’t even let me in the gym. Thankfully, the district manager apologized, re-entered my information like initially I asked her to do, and the general manager refunded me. I hope this serves as a wake-up call for better customer service training. Loyal members deserve professionalism.

I signed up my son and myself at this location three months ago for a basic $10 a month membership, which turns into a $19 a month each membership with added fees. That is not the problem. The problem is we have been stopped 6 times in the last three months because the 20 year olds at the desk cant sign people up properly, they say the membership is showing something different like promotional phase,then they say oh nevermind its ok we took care of it then stopping us at the desk again a week later with the same foolish shit. After being stopped six times, I asked to speak to a real manager. Of course the guy Dennis is not there and they cant give me his email. I said I dont want his personal email, im a gym member, they still said no. That is crazy customer service. They have no trouble taking my money from the bank but they bother me with petty stuff. The gym is better than planet fitness and others and it seems they took over all the old 24 hour fitness gym locations. The app they provide is trash, it barely works. So far it reminds me why having your own home gym is so much better…… update they finally fixed the problem :-)

I won’t be going back. I didn’t have a pleasant experience. I went in because I signed up for a trial membership, online it said 3 days but then they told me it was only 1 day. And then there wasn’t the most friendly reception. I was told I couldn’t try the gym because I had been a member at a previous gym, in another location(yes - 8hrs away, I moved). And that the only way I could have an experience at this location was to sign up for a membership… I felt uncomfortable being asked to sign a contract on the spot and the guy at the counter made a face when I explained this to him.

I had cancelled my subscription over a year ago, but they didn’t bother to let me know it didn’t take effect when multiple months were past due. Not an email, not a phone call. Got sent to collection services.

These white collar thieves deserve ZERO tolerance for their sneaky ways to earn extra money, because I of course was not about to let a pre-cancelled gym membership ruin my credit life, be VERY careful with what you’re told, and always make sure to cancel leaving a digital trail.

Been going to crunch for over a years and here are my pros and cons of the place and reasons why I canceled.

Pros: people are nice..

Cons: -ALWAYS PACKED
-trainers and clients sit at machines to chat
-Never any wet wipes to disinfect with
-Not enough clips for cable machines so nobody can use it at all -.-
-only 24hrs M-F
-popular machines are out of order once a week
-no soap in bathrooms
-bugs on the floor of the sauna and mirror area (can’t put your bag on the floor)
-charges you a full month as you cancel your membership before the billing date and you already paid your “service fee”.

I honestly don't know if this is with all gyms but this one has tested my faith! When i first signed up i signed up for the base $9.99 plan,some how i got signed up for peek plan 😑 instead,then i tried to correct it to base only to find out there are two different types of base which makes no sense at all!!!! Why the hell should i pay for a base at $19.99 when there is a base for $9.99?? Both of those plans are the exact same,only different is one is more expensive for no darn reason. Oh wait, i would have to cancel that membership pay a cancelation fee then resign up again for a freaking fee🤣🤣 make that make sense. Got my new membership agreement only for me to see a recurring fee of $17.11. How the hell a $9.99 membership gonna be $17.11 ??? I'm about to cancel this crap .

This place is terrible! I warn anyone looking to sign up for a membership here. All they want is to take your money. Multiple multiple times they have charged me with services I didn’t receive.

After I went out of commission for a few months I asked them to pause my account and they continued to charge me and told me the only way to stop it is to come in person.

My experience at this gym has been good so far. Love the hybra-beds & sauna after a workout. My personal trainer, Chauntel Browne, is amaze-balls! She helping me to get back into shape by toning up and restoring my core after having several c-sections. I enjoy working her!

The only reason I have less than 5 stars, is in regard to the membership cancellation reviews. I worry that if the time comes and I want to cancel my membership, I won’t be able to or will have to go through hoops and hurdles!

The reason i’m giving 2 stars is because it is extremely crowded at all times, it’s hard too even get a good work out in because the machines are ALL taken and even in the middle of sets people just walk up and take over machines you are alternating on which can be very annoying. They do have a lot of machines that other gyms do not have which is nice. Another reason i’m giving it 2 stars is because they call way too much. I have told them multiple times i’m not interested in talking to a trainer for work outs as I am an athlete bouncing back after having a baby 7 months ago and am aware of nutrition / how too work out and the goals i’m working towards. I am not sure how busy other locations are but this one is insanely too crowded as stated above.

It would be unfair to give this place 1 star, but it sure ain’t 5.

Cons: What you’re looking at in my photos is EVERY SINGLE OTHER BENCH and both curling stations with weights on the bars, and nobody working out on them. This is around 8am, so not even high traffic. The racked weights are a disaster, too, and I’ve gone to other great Crunch Fits across Florida, none this bad.

It’s one thing for self-centered members of a cheap fitness center to not care enough to clean up after themselves, but they have nearly a dozen uniformed people at the front desk who could be making rounds and tidying up. I’m coming from an old school bodybuilding gym where 1 guy worked the counter and he still went around taking care of the place better, and it cost less! I’m OCD and will rearrange weights between sets, but I finally gave up my second day there.

That brings me to point number 2: beware hidden fees. “$15 a month! $1 sign on fee!” They won’t tell you until you’re signing that there’s a $60 annual fee, so now that’s $20/mo. Oh, and did you forget your checkbook as a secondary method of payment? That’s an extra $3/mo.

Pros: it’s clean, has plenty of amenities, at least a half dozen squat racks/deadlift platforms, boxing center, HIIT training, and a solid number of benches and machines. If the members and the staff took more pride in this place, you could have an amazing gym, and I’ll happily update my review if I see it improve. I only swapped because it’s closer to my house and more convenient to lift before work.

Update: added a photo of their water fountain filter. It’s been blinking red, needing replacing, and I came in today to find the light covered up. You can still see the red glow blinking next to it. I’m trying to think of a legitimate reason or accident on how that could happen, but I can’t come up with one other than they’re trying to hide it.

Update 3/14/25: just watched a Crunch personal trainer leave his client’s weights on the benchpress. This gym is a joke, go to EOS down the street

I am beyond upset with the treatment I received today 1/21/2025 from Mike Manning, the club manager, and Lissandra, the front desk. When my husband got the Peak Result membership, he was told that I could join the classes as a guest, provided he wasn't joining the same class and was present at the club. Today, I walked in, and before I even got to the class door, Lissandra came running after me and told me to go back to the front desk and register.

Once at the front desk, Lissandra asked me when I was getting my own membership, and Mike proceeded to tell me that I could not join the class. I explained that Daniel, the salesman who sold the membership to my husband, had assured us that I could join the classes under the conditions mentioned. Mike responded by saying that each club has its own rules and suggested I go to Dania Beach to discuss the matter directly with Daniel. He added that whatever I was told had nothing to do with "HIS" club.

Feeling that Mike was being difficult and just trying to push me into getting a membership, I expressed my frustration. Meanwhile, Lissandra, who had been chuckling the entire time, started laughing out loud as if it were all a joke. When I asked her what was so funny, Mike told me that she could laugh at me whenever she wanted. He then threatened to have someone kick me out of the club if I didn't leave immediately. Feeling threatened, I started recording the interaction, only for Mike to threaten me again to call the police and trespass on me if I didn’t delete the video in front of him. I left the club and didn't delete the video because I plan to share it across all social media in hopes that Crunch Fitness will train their employees to improve their customer service skills.
Notice how they only respond to the 5-star reviews while completely ignoring the lower-rated ones, rather than addressing the issues customers are raising. It just shows how poor their customer service is and how entitled they are. I also suspect they're accustomed to threatening customers, judging by the calculated way Mike acted, most likely with the backing of their management.

That’s when I was confused because I distinctly Remember Drew giving me a 1 day guest pass before and telling me to invite my friends.
ANWAYS me and my friend leave the gym feeling unmotivated at this point so I go behind my car and my friend sees something on the ground and guess what is was… A free 1 day guest pass
And guess whose name was on it…? 😂 DREW so we go back in and show Drew the card and he Still refuses us entry and says “nah that’s a different Drew, we don’t guest passes”

I visited Crunch Fitness today and was disappointed with my experience. I was told by the receptionist Zoey that I couldn’t use my free day pass to join the Zumba class, even though the Crunch Fitness website clearly states that the pass grants access to all gym amenities. Instead of allowing me to try out the services, she immediately tried to sell me a membership. This approach felt unwelcoming and completely undermined the purpose of the free day pass.

Looking to switch to a closer gym to home. Got recommended crunch, so I did some research. Reviews online about terrible customer service and membership scams were rampant on Yelp. I miss seeing this one particular employee that was attentive in the past TodY Dec 11 I requested they refill the wipe dispensers. 20 minutes later but they’re still on their iPhones and on the computer at the desk. This is a good gym I enjoy coming here. The music is great but please give these guys a refresher in customer service and politeness to guests. No one even looked up when I asked about the wipes. Don’t sign up at this gym or at any crunch fitness period. They tell you you will have access to all their locations but then you don’t have access to the CRUNCH SIGNATURE ones, they are full of bs. I was on the phone with one of the “managers” who told me I could send an email to cancel my membership - called them later on the same day and the GM Michael told me that it wasn’t true. In the end Michael tried helping but don’t do business with them. The gym might look nice but the contract they make you sign is terrible, that probably why all the Locations they used to have in Miami are now close, because people don’t want to deal with their bs. Furthermore they do not have a Corporate so the best help you’ll get is from people who might lie to you or just try to talk you into spending more money. Last but not least also don’t sign up for the training program, it sucks. Read other reviews to know more about it

I had a deeply frustrating experience with this company that I feel compelled to share. I called to sign up for a membership, but when I decided to cancel, I was shocked to be told I was locked into a three-month contract—something I was never informed about. They claimed this was in a contract I “signed,” but I never signed anything. The contract was sent after I provided my card information over the phone, and my membership was activated immediately.

When I spoke with the assistant manager, they dismissed my concerns and insisted that their staff is “well-trained” and wouldn’t have omitted such crucial information. Yet, their own website claims that you can cancel at any time, which they then told me was outdated.

I tried to reach out to the manager multiple times and even sent an email, but received no response. To top it off, I blocked them from charging my card, yet their billing department continues to harass me for payment.

This experience has been incredibly unprofessional and frustrating. I strongly recommend staying away from this business to avoid similar issues.

A lot of cool equipment. The bathrooms are always dirty. Don't get a personal training contract. The personal training contracts are misleading, and I didn’t receive any personal plans until a month later. When I did get it, the personal plan was a list of 8 exercises split between upper body and lower body, so 4 exercises each. I got more from a $25 program online. When I asked for a different trainer that could work with my schedule, because I don’t live in the area, I worked in the area and had family there, so I got membership. I was never told about a 3-month commitment because I don’t live there, so it wouldn’t make sense for me to make that commitment, and I explained that to my trainer, but when I tried to cancel, I was told I couldn’t cancel, and when I asked for a trainer to fit my schedule, they keep suggesting I show up early, but that’s not feasible since I don’t work in the area any longer, and if I'm late, I'll lose the session. So I’ve spent hundreds of dollars for nothing but 8 exercises I could’ve googled. Long story short, the personal training is a scam here. Don’t sign anything; it sounds good, but there's no actual value. It's basically a glorified workout buddy if there isn't a plan to continue your progress outside of our sessions.

Crunch Fitness was nicer a year ago when I first joined. I love the different machines that are available, I like the variety of group classes offered, They offer a boxing area, and a spin area. The massage chairs and everything are a nice touch too. I think the music is somewhat overwhelming at times and recently I must say the gym makes me feel unclean because it’s not maintained as well as it was beginning 2024 or last year. Big shoutout to my fitness coach Chauntel though!!! With her help I’ve been able to tone and build muscle mass she’s helped me with just being consistent and staying accountable. She’s a team player cultivating a positive energy and experience amongst all her clients. 💜

I’m very happy at this gym. The staff is great, it’s clean, and spacious. I have been working with coach Chauntel B for over a year now and she’s the best trainer I’ve ever had. She’s consistent and supportive. She’s helped me overcome back injuries without losing focus or progress of my fitness goals. I’m really grateful to her for this. In addition to being a great personal trainer, she’s also created a what is basically a support group for all her clients to help each other where we share our growth, learnings, nutrition suggestions and sometimes it’s just for fun.

The three stars is for the gym because of how gross and how poorly maintained it is. However, 5 STARS goes to the best coach there, Chauntel. I mostly go there because of Coach Chauntel. She really pushes me to my limits and challenges me every session. She has helped me keep pushing even when I want to give up. She inspires me every time I go to work out! Let me start by saying I have given 3 stars because I am torn. The best part of this gym is my trainer Chauntel. She has helped in my fitness journey with encouragement and her sessions. I feel stronger and healthier. I look forward to all my classes with her. However, if Chauntel were not there I would cancel my membership. This gym has eliminated their cleaning staff, which is beyond my comprehension. The ladies room is always gross from the locker area to the bathroom. The floors are disgusting and the equipment is always all over the place in the HIIT room. Sometimes you have to pick up after others just to use the room. It's just a mess.

All I have to say is thank you Coach Chauntel! I signed up with Crunch and Coach at the beginning of the year and it was the best decision I made, let’s just say she will get you to your goals and keep you in line! Not only is she an amazing Coach but the workout family she has created not only motivates but also supports each other through their fitness journey! I have been coming to this Crunch Fitness since it first opened. They have a variety of machines for people to use, and it's hours are convenient. I also have been working with coach @Chauntel, whose personality has been encouraging myself and her other clients to stick to our program. She has been helping us in reaching our goals. If you haven't checked this place out, I encourage you to do so, as it is worth it.
