I was visiting from south FL and this crunch definitely set my expectations really high for crunch! All the crunches near me are small and crowded, while I came to this one during gym rush hour and there were barely any people and it was so spacious! Loved the extra rooms they had for stretching and weightlifting.

It's a good gym for the most part. Wish I could leave a 4 or 5 star review but unfortunately I cannot because they will not allow me to cancel my membership. I recently moved across the country and I was hoping to cancel. They told me I can't cancel and the only thing I could do is pay out my entire 1 year contract. BTW I didn't even know I was on a 1 year contract. As many gyms they try to scam you for money instead of providing a good gym when you need it. The staff are cool and the facilities are good (very busy though). Unfortunately the business model is designed to trick members and force them to pay for unused services. smh

This crunch is nice in size and in equipment but the staff is not as friendly and welcoming as the Regency location. Some of the staff is very lovely but, overall, the manager and others could be a lot more welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately, they are not.

This place calls its customers a tow truck while they're exercising, so they can tow their car, with the excuse that trucks can't be parked there. So be careful if you don't want to spend $500 or $1,000 on a tow truck.

I just did a visit as a guest and this place is huge!! (was formerly a Target). Every thing is clean and orderly. They have many many machines and on a few were out of order. Sauna was hot and the hydro massage chair was great!! Staff seemed friendly too!

I have never in my life met someone so out of line and disrespectful until I met this vile woman. I had walked out of the gym and immediately came back in to grab something from my friend in the gym and this woman harassed me and got within 2 feet of my face demanding that I sign back in. I told her I wasn’t coming back into the gym to work out, I was just grabbing something from a friend. And she continued to berate me and harass me over the sign in. I told her to her manager, she then called the GM Justin Mak, and he let me know that I needed to sign in every time I pass the desk. Which I told him I would. But that he needed to have a serious convo with this employee. She followed me, breathing down my neck until I signed back in. This is not how you treat your paying customers. EVER.

i witnessed a man get banned from crunch for no reason. He wasn’t making people uncomfortable and his health issues are ON THE COMPUTER, he has high blood pressure so obviously people get tired but instead of being fair, they decided to find an excuse to ban him. I really lived this gym when it first opened, nice employees, great members, but the place is really starting to fall apart and has a severe lack of cleanliness. First, how are you supposed to curl when the pads are scratching and pinching your arms because theyre cracked. The covers on them are meant to be replaced, instead, they tape them up. Meaning, now the tape is sticky from everyone’s sweat. All the mirrors and equipment are dusty and are now starting to rust from people sweating on them and it not being cleaned. Ill happily give a 5 star review once they start basic maintenance.

9/1 they repaired cushion so bumping up to 3 stars. This gym is still filthy. Probably because their cleaning budget is a 1/4 of what it should be.

I have to keep updating and giving less stars. How do you have a class during busy times and take all if the barbells fir the class??? Idk why i keep coming here.

Really good gym with plenty of equipment and cleaning bottles and rags for cleaning equipment after use. As a woman everyone does their own thing and you feel comfortable here working out. Zumba class was also a blast the time I tried it and I can't dance to save my life 🤣 I trained with a personal trainer who set clear but manageable goals with full details on how my body burns calories, how much I should eat, and an idea on how to target goal areas. My only advice is to check the toilet paper before sitting because everyone tends to keep headphones in and mind their own and if I had a nickel for Everytime I got stuck without toilet paper I'd have 2 which isn't a lot but weird it happened twice (Doofenshmirtz reference)

It would be nice if there was more than one ab machine! I like the gym but some of the staff not so much. I’ve been going to this gym for 3 years now and as my kids were getting water, Logan, that works at the front desk, made his way to us at the fountain and asked if we were just getting water. I replied yes, as he walks away, he says “well make it fast.” After making my complaint, the first thing that was addressed was making sure that I knew what the policy was. That wasn’t even the issue at hand, the issue was his unprofessionalism. Kids crunch staff is great and the young lady that helped me submit my complaint was pleasant. But Logan was out of line and the management seemed to have no care, other than “I talked to him, I don’t know what else you want me to say”. I really enjoyed crunch up until that incident.

Large gym that doesn't feel overly crowded but extremely dirty, equipment is not in very good condition and limited amounts on dumbbells, red therapy room hasn't worked since January, the massage beds go down often so only one thing out of four are available even though they used that as a perk to joining. Manager doesn't seem to care about doing anything to improve things. Staff are extremely friendly and class instructors are all great!

The main reason I joined Crunch Fitness at the Orange Park (Wells Road) location was for their infrared sauna. During my initial visit, the staff member who gave me the tour—John, I believe—was exceptional. He clearly explained the difference between a regular sauna and an infrared sauna, and his professionalism played a big role in my decision to sign a 12-month contract.

Unfortunately, since joining on February 27th, 2025, I have not been able to use the infrared sauna, as it has been out of order. As of today, May 12th, 2025, it is still not operational. It’s disappointing to have signed up specifically for a feature that remains unavailable for such an extended period.

I genuinely hope this issue is resolved soon and will update this review once the infrared sauna is finally up and running.

Had an appointment with Christ today for personal training- it’s been a goal of mine to build my dream body and feel better about myself. And i had a wonderful experience with him, he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and answered all of my questions. I will be signing up for sure! What a great gym!! It is huge. There is a staggered payment option depending on the amenities that you would like, with great start up pricing. If you choose the max services it is only about $35 mo and you get way more than other gyms. Spray tan, tanning bed, hydro massage, infrared sauna! My favorite gym. It has everything needed for weight training as well as fitness machines. It's about 40 a month and you can bring a friend. Free classes depending on membership such as spin, pilates,hitt,etc. Only thing I don't like is it's not 24/7, but I work odd hours. It's a fantastic gym for 9to5 workers. Their lowest membership is the same as planet fitness with more amenities. They have a sauna, basketball court,massage pods, tanning booths and many other perks. Military discount is available through Idme. It gets busy during peak hours and you might have to wait for a rack or machine but overall all it's a extraordinary gym.

WARNING: My wife and I were in the market to join a gym in the area, since we recently moved to the First Coast. The gym has a 3 day guest pass to see if you like the gym. However, they require for you to leave your ID with the front desk. By law they cannot hold your ID in their possession. Not even law enforcement can do that. They can ask you for your ID to identify you, but not hold it while you work out. Years ago at another Crunch Fitness they did the same and my wife's ID went missing. They paid for her to get another license but it wasn't until months later that we found out someone else was using her ID (identity fraud). The cost of this was unmeasurable.

The other 2 Crunch Fitness gyms in the area DO NOT require for you to leave your ID. So disappointed.

I opened a membership with this gym and set up autopay for the payments. The first payment processed successfully. However, when I returned the following month, I was informed that my payment had not gone through, despite using the same account and having sufficient funds available. I showed the attendant my account, and he resolved the issue.

Unfortunately, the same problem occurred again in the second and third months—both payments were declined. I asked to cancel my membership after the third incident. If the company requires autopay but is unable to withdraw the funds, then they need to address the issue on their end. Now, I have been reported to a collection agency because of their system failure.

I have been a member of this gym for a few months now, this is what I noticed: Pros: Good size gym, lots of equipment, decent monthly membership fee, "almost" the entire staff working there is friendly. Cons: Equipment when not working takes an eternity to get fixed, People Park their bags next to the machine they are using when working out, walk away and when you want to use it, they are angry because you didn't see their parked gym bag, never seen any personnel working there enforcing the no gym bags on the floor rule (common issue in most gyms), really can't fix stupid. People monopolizing weight machines by sitting there for 15/20 minutes checking their phone or taking selfies (another common issue in most gyms). The cleanliness of this gym is ok. In summary, this is not the worse gym I have been a member of, unfortunately, it suffers from some of the same BS that goes on in other gyms.

I actually like the gym. The problem is if you don’t have a schedule that allows you to go when they first open it’s too busy to do anything. I waited 45 minutes for a bench press and finally just decided to walk out because there still wasn’t any available. I’m absolutely not paying almost $40 per month for a gym that I can’t even use. I have been to a few Crunch Fitness around the country and this location is one of the WORST. I have been flip flopping on writing this review or not, but today sealed the deal. I went to put weight on the wrack where the platform is and when I slid the first plate on screws literally flew off the rack (this should NEVER be a thing as the machines and racks should be tightened, checked, and upkept regularly). This could have caused serious injury to someone if it wasn't noticed. They do not upkeep ANY of the machines, no one wipes off anything after us, and the gym floor is riddled with holes (which have been there since the day I joined 6 months ago...the only thing they've done about it is put an "X" on the holes with red tape". Speaking of the platform...they're uneven and have divots as well. They charge "annual maintenance fee" but from what I am seeing it looks like that money is just going into someone's pocket cause it certainly isn't going back into the gym. I strongly suggest you take your money elsewhere.

Second I was in an auto accident in August, and let them know. I know this is a problem at pretty much every gym but I really wish they would enforce time limits on machines. I find myself waiting for people to finish scrolling social media while taking up a machine I’m waiting on every single day. It’s to the point I have to build my workout routine around these people. They take up machines for 30-45 minutes just playing on their phones. I could say something to these people but that could lead to confrontation and that shouldn’t fall on the customer.

This locations instructions are not helpful at all when it comes to trying to get a proper workout. I nicely asked one instructor to use one of the four rower machines to work out during one of their classes, and they were pretty rude. The childcare staff were unfriendly and didn’t greet us when we arrived or left. They didn’t make the effort to acknowledge my children or ensure they were checking out with the right person. I expected a more welcoming environment and better attention to detail, especially regarding child safety. Unfortunately, the lack of warmth and organization has made me decide not to sign up for a membership.

Staff is absolutely horrible and not helpful at all. I’ve been a customer here at this gym for quite some time, I’ve poured hundreds of dollars into personal training, membership, and club fees. When making a life changing decision, I froze my account back in August 2023 due to getting out of the military as a disabled veteran and moving 3,000 miles away from California to florida. I spoke with a woman whose name was BIANCA at the front desk about canceling my membership, she informed me I had to pay a lump some of money upfront to cancel or wait until my contract ended in february to cancel it and continue to pay out monthly. So I froze my account for one month, and continued to pay the membership fee each month, no problem, without going to the gym once for the entire 8 months left on my contract. I am physically unable to workout anymore due to my disabilities as a veteran. The woman I spoke with told me my contract would end unless I renewed, and here it is July of 2024, and I found I am still being charged for a membership that I was told would end in February and not renew unless i physically came in and signed renewal paperwork. I was in contact today with the General Manager JUSTIN who was very rude and unhelpful. He informed me his staff was perfect and would never tell me that type of information and that he can’t do anything or would be unable to reimburse me (the hundreds of dollars i’ve been being charged that I told would end after my contract ) without documentation that his “perfect” staff told me would automatically cancel. He told me there was nobody above him I could talk to about being charged hundreds of dollars for almost an entire year of not going to this gym and months of my contract suppose to have being ended and still being charged. He informed me his staff was not reliable for giving me wrongful information. His communication was very poor and had a very bad attitude. The staff here is completely unprofessional. As a disabled vet; I have no choice but to take legal action regarding this incident. 0/10 do not recommend this place at all.

The gym it self it pretty nice but the staff is horrible I was racially profiled from the beginning I left a review on that issue months back, from some manager but never pushed the issue internally instead I switched gyms and called and walked in to talk about canceling my membership and was told it would be. Two months later I'm being charged over $173 on a membership I haven't been using and when I called to ask about it a nasty lady named BIANCA answered the phone was extremely nasty and wasn't letting me finish talking before cutting me off after every word I said even in person they are so nasty I wouldn't recommend the orangepark location but crunch gym itself is pretty nice. Also the free kickoff is basically them promoting getting personal trainers 2-4times a week lol everything with this location is about money not actually physically gains.

I can see after reading others reviews that this gym is predatory. I was a founding member, here from the beginning, used the trainer service at first but they could not keep trainers long enough, It seems i was just getting weighed in every week or so.

A few months later I injured both knees and was out for a few months, but I kept my membership hoping to get back in the gym but when I tried it was just too painful o my knees so I canceled my membership, or so I thought.

They never charged my card again so I thought I was done but earlier today I received an email threatening to send my account to collections. After a few emails I realized it was going to cost me more money to fight this than the 178.50 they were asking for so i paid. Still unsure why 1st they weren't still charging my card and 2nd if you're not getting paid you should cancel membership not let it go for 5 months then threaten collections.

Just another predatory company with questionable employees in charge, if you need more proof just read more of the reviews from other people

I absolutely love the gym and features they make you feel like your at a high class sports facility but I didn't give it full stars because me and my wife notice some of the staff is extremely rude and a little Bias towards certain individuals so I won't be here much longer but for now it's an alright gym to workout at.

So I back in august/september I moved here to florida from texas. I’ve always wanted to try crunch fitness, heard good things. I lived in macclenny at the time but I would drive here just to get a workout in in the morning and then afternoon go train (I’m an MMA fighter and I train at multiple gyms) on my first day one of the employees was showing me around and I specifically told him I’ll pay monthly but I don’t want a contract, told me I still had to sign something so I did. Now of course I should’ve read what I was signing but at the same time the employee should’ve explained what it was for. I decided I wanted to cancel the membership as one of the gyms I train at has weights and I also have to help out my parents with money. I spoke yo the manager Justin who was very rude and unprofessional. I even told him that I need the money to help out my parents and he just didn’t seem to care. He said I signed a contract for one year and I even told him that I never wanted to sign it and the employee wasn’t explaining it to me. That doesn’t sound fair to me. And now here I am still paying for it and I haven’t been there since august/september. (It’s now about to be May).

Honestly if I could give zero stars I would. It looks like this place has never been cleaned. The upkeep on the machines has to be the worst I’ve seen in a while at a gym. The machines are disgusting and it makes you feel gross using them. The women’s bathroom smelled like someone peed all over the place. It’s also hot as hell. Long story short I feel like I need a shower after using this gym and it’s not because I had a good workout.

I've been at crunch for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. So many group fitness classes to choose from. The app is awesome and the people are even better. Child care workers are wonderful. Tanning beds are legit. The wellness pod is my fav. Love my gym!

The classes here are amazing and a great compliment to my training schedule.

There's something for everyone including cycling, strength training, yoga, HIIT, booty, thighs and abs, and much more!

The locker rooms are spacious and the sauna is a perfect after an exhausting workout.

This gym is always clean and everyone I've encountered, staff or patron, is always friendly and willing to help if needed.

My only regret is that it took me so long to realize how great Crunch Fitness is 💪🏾

Its a fun place to get in shape enjoy the "spa" part but the showers are limited in hot water and are weak. The Versa Spa tanning is out for the bronzing and only have 2 out of 3 hydro beds working.

I signed up for the gym and attend the Crunch Kick off with the PT manager, Austin (who is conveniently no longer employed there) I signed up for PT sessions every other week but that very same night, my grandpa passed away. I called Austin to let him know my situation and would follow up when I got back. While in New York handling the passing of my grandfather, they charged me a total of times. I sent several emails and made several phone calls to the PT Manager and Physical Trainer and heard back from no one. I always had to make many attempts to make contact.
I asked that they see my special extenuating circumstances with the obituary attached and close out the PT going forward until I could make it back in state. I then in January made several attempts to schedule through text, email, etc and received no response. All the way they continued to charge me $110 every two weeks. I finally spoke to the manager, Justin, who I had to call 6 times to get a resolution and I was told even though no services were rendered despite all my efforts and communication and their lack of that they could only cancel the contract a bit early. This was the first I heard of any contract! I was never advised and told the terms. I was only directed to sign where I needed to sign.
Even though no services were rendered and the quality of communication, professionalism and actual effort to honor their side of the so called contract - they told me that’s all they can do and eat the cost basically.

Avoid this gym! Go to small time gyms where they are actually human and care about people and doing the right thing.

Bathrooms considerably dirty. Mainly the floor. There are some equipment pads that are worn down. They never seem to fix them, the pads just get more and more torn and dirty. Giving a three, some things need attention for a four.

Been going to this gym since August of 2022 and I wouldn’t change this gym for any other gym. The staff here is super sweet and will help with anything that you need. While going to the gym which I joined at the end of January, I joined for I believed a 6 month membership. Either 3 months or 6 months I was under the impression that once it was over, it would automatically cancel. I could understand a year commitment, I was just trying it out for the time being. I only think it was 6 months because I kept thinking it would be up in July so I just wasted a month of not going. The best thing was being able to do the classes at home. This is why I gave two stars. There were many to chose from, but if you don’t plan on doing it long term, don’t waste the money. Also, be aware when your membership is up, even a trial one, because they will continue the membership and not let you know it’s close to ending. It’s like all those telemarketers. One other thing, to cancel the membership, you have to take time out of your day to go there and personally cancel it, but they can continue it as they chose and not remind us. Gyms aren’t like they used to be.

I wanted to rate this business higher, but ya'll know how I am about relationships and customer service. I've been researching gyms in the area for months. I called and made an appointment to tour this facility with a nice gentleman. I think his name was Justin. I arrived on time and was greeted by Bianca. I was expecting to meet the person I had an appointment with, but I was told, "We work together, and we don't work on commission." Brushed it off to communication break down and had my tour with Bianca. I had prepared to sign up on this day. However, when I questioned the $49 maintenance fee vs. the initiative fee, the atmospheric tone abruptly changed. I received that cold shoulder. Oh well, I have no more time for you, flip of the hand dismissal. OUCH! Thank God a more seasoned employee stepped in to unruffle my feathers.

Dear management,- long term relationships via contracts are important to us common folks. We may ask questions. We may be a bit fearful. We don't know you. One potential customer who sincerely is looking to build a long-term relationship with you can be permanently damaged by one employee's abrasion. Jim Rowley would be embarrassed.

I recently joined Crunch orange park location the gym is clean the staff is super friendly Bianca Loor helped me and my brother get signed up for a membership.. gave us a tour explained the benefits and what we were signing up for . Her and her crew ate Justin Mak were a joy . I do recommend the gym they also have inside kids daycare /gym !!!

The gym is clean, has a great atmosphere, and has friendly gym workers and trainers. I even signed up with a trainer and have been working with him for a few months now. He's great and keeps me motivated. The other trainers are also there if you need help with a machine or exercise equipment. There are great classes as well to join to get hyped or relaxed. After a workout, my favorite place to visit is the sauna and afterward the massage beds.

Solid gym with lots of options and a huge mix of people from all levels of fitness. Been working out here for about 2 years and never had a single issue. They do have a good personal trainer program here if you are new or just want some help setting goals and reaching them.
