The gym is good - and the staff is always very nice. Please hire a housekepping team as the could place really use a deep clean. So everything is maintained properly. I recommend pressure washing the whole pool Area including steam room and sunua floors they need to be disinfected. The locker rooms and showers walls all need to be cleaned Disinfected and deodorized.

For starters this is the only gym in my area that works for me and i like crynch fitness overall, but this place has had its issues ranging from no toilet paper for weeks being crowded often which isnt the worst compared to other gyms and the fact that im constantly harrassed even during my workout to scan qrs and hovered over to repost facebook posts. I like what there trying to do here but they need to seriously rethink the marketing initiative and what brings people to this crunch in particular. The move the remove the steam room and relocate to smaller worse saunas removing the basketball court etc the crunch team here has some work to do and the bar was not set high by 24hr fitness. EDIT: i think its worth mentioning I was mid set dropped my weight looked up and had a qr code in my face held by an employee EDIT 2: i forgot to mention the months broken main water fountain, weeks to replace the batteries in the assault bike. I really could go on.

It's crazy how some of the leftover employees from the switch are just horrible now. They're not even like the same people they used to be. This speaks to a poor employee culture. There are only a couple worth trying to have a normal human interaction with. You felt the change. It started off fine at first but the attitude and behavior changed. I understand they implemented their own forced contracts. I had an annual payment which they no longer did. No problem. I have a copy of my annual contract. There is no information in it about any notice required to cancel. I signed zero information with Crunch which means my old contract would still supersede any ghost agreements they feel. No big deal. You'd think an easy discussion. Nope. The most brain dead , can't answer a simple question conversation. The funny thing is, I asked for a manager and was told I was speaking with the manager. I had an A-ha moment then. Everything made sense. The only thing they had was a "collections " threat for a month of membership. I'm sure that's a concern for some struggling with credit scores and they clearly don't realize how empty of a threat that is. Easy fix. Attitude. Behavior. Service. All gone. The pool is soon to follow. Already confirmed. I was told by another employee at another location they were told to tell everyone the plan is to keep it and "see how it goes" but corporate already has the plans for what is coming.

I don’t write many reviews but Crunch deserves this one. I’ve been training for 10+ years, been to hundreds of gyms. As for worst gyms I’ve been to, Crunch fitness is number 1. This one specifically denied us day passes that we were willing to pay (we are in town for only a couple days). The day before an employee told us we can get day passes but one of us had forgotten an I.D. So today we brought them in and they still denied us because “the influx of people this weekend is overwhelming”- of course Nolan mentioned if we wanted to “sign up” we can use the gym, but that they aren’t doing any day passes this weekend. It wasn’t busy at all. Nolan forgot he works in an industry of people trying to better their health/wellness. He only cared about getting his sales up. I’ve come to the conclusion after four negative experiences at different Crunch’s that even if it’s the only option, I unfortunately will not give them my money, even as much as I like working out.

Horrible experience, transferred from 24 hour fitness. Asked to downgrade my membership to the 10 dollar one and “switched my payment method” and paid 20 dollar downgrade fee. Then the next time I came in after 3 weeks, I get alerted I have over $100 in late fees when my payment method was supposed to be switch over and my membership plan had not been change. Then got told I can only go down to $15 a month and got 15 takin off for late fees because of their fault.

Then came in to cancel my membership and paid $41 granted I am finally getting the $15 back in refund that I was supposed to have. However I had to pay for the next month to cancel even though my payment isn’t for another week.

Really disappointed on how this played out as I just wanted to go to the gym and work out and not pay crazy high prices, but I might as well paid for a higher quality gym as I paid more here. It took me three different team members to get to this point to cancel, as I wanted to stay here but my experience since crunch took over has been the worst I have ever had.

Today, I had to call the police on an employee who refused to identify himself as management until the police questioned him. I have never felt more unwelcome and unsafe at a gym than I did today.

This incident began when I asked a friendly Crunch employee to look into why my BOGO deal, which I purchased through 24 Hour Fitness, was not showing up in their system. I had previously called 24 Hour Fitness, and they informed me that Crunch WOULD HONOR the deal because they now own those contracts.

The employee discovered that my original contract from 24 Hour Fitness was in their system, indicating it ends in December 2026. However, the Crunch account, which Crunch management created without my permission or awareness, was dated for December 2025. He reached out to another person who did not introduce himself as a manager and didn’t speak to me directly, but I overheard him tell the employee that this Crunch location would not honor the BOGO deal because they would lose too much money. They created new accounts for everyone and placed us on a monthly plan after the contract ends, which seems unethical and bad business practice. I don’t work for Crunch, so I don’t understand how this was allowed. I simply requested not to be auto-drafted on the 1st.

After working out, I decided to take a picture of the person who provided this information so I could report it to corporate, as it felt inappropriate. This man then asked if I had taken a picture of him, and I confirmed that I did. I asked him to cancel my account effective December 1st.

He then claimed he couldn’t talk to me or help me unless I deleted his picture, stating that I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of employees—a blatant lie, as the police officer and other employees later confirmed there are no rules at Crunch prohibiting customers from taking pictures of employees.

At this point, the man became hostile. While another employee was helping me cancel my account, this man hovered over them and began copying my information into his personal phone.

Feeling nervous for my safety, I asked him to delete my information. He refused and walked away without revealing who he was or why he had taken my information. I decided to call the police because an adult man should not take a customer’s information without permission and then refuse to communicate because he can't control his emotions or is unaware of his company's policy regarding photographs.

I highly doubt corporate will respond to resolve this issue, as it has been difficult to communicate with their customer service since the takeover. Everything about how they are handling this situation is wrong. Even the police officer told him they should honor the contract, but the supposed manager claimed that this Crunch location is a franchise and therefore not obligated to honor it—something that only corporate locations are responsible for.

I will not trust Crunch with my information or recommend them to anyone. Their business tactics make customers feel unsafe, manipulate data to increase profits, and take information without consent.

Thank you Orange County Police for the quick response. I was told if anyone calls or show up at my house unannounced to call them back.
The guy in the middle is the “manager” I would be wary of at this gym location. Not a very good guy.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

My daughter signed up for Crunch and was never clearly informed about how difficult it would be to cancel. When she left for college, we followed the instructions we were given to cancel her membership. We spoke with multiple employees—each time being told that it would be taken care of—and yet they continued to withdraw almost $50 every month.

After several calls, we were told again that her account would be canceled. Today, we were informed that she now needs to email “proof of relocation”—something that was never mentioned by anyone before. It feels impossible to cancel, and every person tells a different story.

This experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and extremely unprofessional. A gym contract should not feel like a trap.

I haven’t been able to go to the gym bc I have been with Covid for people that had it they know how delicate desease this is. There for I see a charge of 35$ in my bank account from crunch and I called to see what’s this about the guy who answered told me he doesn’t know why I have this charge if everything looks good in my account, he transferred me to Zoe she told me the only one that can help is the manager to call before 5 and that she sees a late fee and I checked my account and I always have money and told her I have proof that I had the money in the account and told her I want to cancel my membership bc idk when I will be able to go back to the gym. She said call tomorrow before 5. I called today explained again to the person who answered cause he insisted and he proceeded to put me on the phone with the manager she was beyond disrespectful and not helpful she automatically told me is my fault and I should be aware of paying my bills bc crunch can’t be responsible of that and I told her same thing I have proof I had money and she said either way you had or not money it’s not our responsibility you could’ve called us to make sure we charge you and if you are sick get a doctors note, I have no issues paying a late fee when I’ve known it’s my fault I just find it unfair I have proof and still she was rude. 4 different people told me 4 different things. I asked her to speak with someone superior and she said that’s me and everyone will tell you the same thing.

UPDATED:
Literally about to cancel my membership because the music is too loud. I'm going deaf, trying to listen to my own music in the gym. Exploring other gyms this week and will cancel as soon as I find a suitable alternative......

I was a member of 24 hour fitness for 5 years before the takeover.... Dear Crunch fitness, I have two requests:

Please turn the music down. It's so loud you can't even have a conversation. I'm going deaf trying to turn my personal headphones up just to listen to my music on top of yours.

PLEASE KEEP THE WOMEN'S BARBELLS AND ALL OF THE SQUAT RACKS. There are females who do weightlifting competitively and need a women's bar (currently the gym has 2 and we can use a third). We need squat racks with a wood floor, not some plasticky sticky black flooring . There also a ton of people who use the squat racks and we shouldn't decrease the amount we have.

I'll update this review when the renovations are complete and I can see that you guys actually care about what your members want...

Made a 1 year contract with 24 Hour Fitness and wasn't notified that Crunch Fitness took over around the time when our contract was expiring. We started getting charged monthly by Crunch after our contract ended. Tried to call the hotline.. useless. Then went in-person to get this settled and the associate wasn't helpful. Tried again another day and spoke with the manager and assured us that we won't be getting charged again. Guess what? Almost 6 months later.. we still keep getting charged. This is a scam. We keep getting notifications to update our payment methods on our "Crunch Fitness" account which we can't because WE ARE NOT CUSTOMERS OF CRUNCH FITNESS. I've experienced bad customer service and this has been one of the worst experience ever.

Terrible. After canceling Crunch this East Colonial branch continued to charge my account and then blamed it all on corporate. Of course, they did not have corporates contact information and essentially said sorry but it is a corporate problem. I could not talk to senior management as they were always missing. This is a con and purposefully done to steal people's hard earned money. They have no accountability or professionalism. And the service representatives are pathetic and low class as one of them, Felix, runs around asking for 5 start reviews for doing nothing. Never ever go to Crunch gym! This gym is AWFUL. I hope everyone checks their bank accounts because they love charging you for no reason. Been paying 10$ since 2022 at 24 randomly this month crunch started charging me 40$ for no reason and told me I authorized it but there’s no documentation of anything everyone was rude and unhelpful when I tried to cancel they just wanna charge for that too. Then yall say your clear with your terms, what terms I never got a document of anything after the switch from 24 hour fitness. I couldn’t even get into the app for months. When you go on the website to check your agreements it says error code. I never wrote a review before but his place is just so terrible such a scam

I left a message earlier about Crunch Fitness at Orlando Park. Since Crunch took over from 24 Hour Fitness, I've appreciated many of their improvements. They’ve replaced the floors, introduced new machines, painted the entire space, and maintain a cleaner environment. Initially, I rated them four stars for these efforts.

However, today I feel compelled to lower my rating to three stars due to their lack of responsiveness. Several pieces of equipment, particularly the Precores that suit my body well and minimize impact, have been out of order for months. Additionally, a fan meant to cool the aerobic area has been non-functional since Crunch took over. Despite numerous work requests and even a response to my Google review acknowledging my concerns, nothing has changed.

The desk staff mentioned it was just a breaker issue with the fan, which seems like a simple fix. As a paying member, I’m asking once more for this issue to be addressed promptly. The fan is crucial for cooling the area where I do aerobics, and its repair would greatly enhance my workout experience. Please prioritize this matter and resolve it soon.

Upon researching Crunch Fitness Orlando Park Gym during my hour of study, I was heartbroken to discover that there was allegedly no pool offered at this location. To my world shattering surprise, upon entering this establishment today, I was equal parts dumbstruck and euphoric to realize that there was a full access HEATED pool within this Gymnasium. My day has been made. No. As a matter of fact, my entire viewpoint on life has changed because of this event. I am forever grateful for Crunch Fitness Orlando Park Gym.

Never signed up for crunch and when I went in they said I had to pay to cancel for a gym I never signed up to be a part of When people say crunch are scammers believe them ! Now I’m waiting till the bank opens to yell at them cause I told them the situation before and why IS CRUNCH STILL CHARGING MY CARD

The gym has declined since Crunch took over. It has become overcrowded., the gym is no longer operating 24/7, which is a significant inconvenience as I work weekends and can’t go late at night. They took down the basketball court and added a random room. The facility is also poorly maintained the soap dispensers are always empty and a general lack of cleanliness.

The environment itself is uncomfortable; the music is excessively loud, to the point where it can be heard even through noise-canceling headphones, and it’s always hot in there

On top of that, I had my headphones stolen at the gym, and when I attempted to report the incident, I was told that no action could be taken without the manager present. Despite there being at least 10 employees at the front, none were able to assist in the situation, which is extremely frustrating.

To add to this, the staff here no longer seem to make any effort to engage with members. I’ve noticed that employees don’t even bother to greet people when they enter.

Lastly, I had paid for a 24-hour yearly membership, assuming that once it expired, I would need to upgrade to a standard Crunch membership if I wanted to continue. However, to my surprise, they began automatically withdrawing money from my bank account. When I attempted to cancel, I was then informed that I would be charged a $70 if I wanted to cancel, which I find completely unreasonable and misleading. Crunch had me standing around for 30 mins because there’s only 1 worker at the front and while the other workers are just chilling and a line piled up because people were waiting for their IDs because Crunch has a policy that if you’re a guest you have to leave your drivers license at the front

Overall, I definitely do not recommend.
There’s better options like Club4 which has a woman’s only workout room and has 24/7 option.

Is the gym okay? Yes. But they mislead you with specials amd listed low rates... but those specials only apply to their higher tier plans (which is illegal).

Then they find ways to charge you fees whenever possible. I got charged my annual membership fee 2 months in. Come to find out that's 1 month before you are allowed to cancel your membership (which they wouldn't let me do even if I paid the last month up front).

They also constantly try and talk you into paying for training... Which is WAY over priced compared to what most places charge. And they won't take no as a final answer. They want their money.

If you are looking for a gym that treats you well look elsewhere.

Staff decided to pick a fight over my 14 year old not showing photo ID when we checked in today. Been going for a year, no issues logging in and an account we pay for. Told them he doesn’t have ID on account of being a minor and we home school. I’m told by Mena, with an attitude, that it’s going to be a problem next time. It was a problem this time. Mena was combative for nothing.
You won’t find worse staff at an establishment than Crunch fitness. Since their takeover it’s been a joke. Dave is fantastic. Everyone else is sneeringly rude.
No GM, no corporate support, just rude people who look at you like you’re a problem for frequenting their business. Honestly, I expect that at all gyms and this one is close and fortunately I never need to actually speak to them.

Do not sign up with this gym. They have predatory practices and will retain your card information after specifically telling them not to.
After the gym that was here before converted into this crunch, they charged every credit card they could without checking if they had an active subscription.
This gym WILL do anything to keep charging you, avoid at all costs.

Update: Thanks to the staff paying attention to their customers, I’m giving it a boost to 5 stars. Renovations are going well, a lot of the staff as I have been here has been so helpful, and friendly once getting to know them. Andy giving me tips on the box jump along with the gym members being friendly as well, it’s a great place to be. I can’t say I’d want to go to another gym this is my second home and I love it here.
The man at the front always fist bumping me welcoming me in (sorry I do not know his name, still.. ) and asking how I am doing is such a nice guy.
The members are wonderful and we are really all here in our own element to lock in so let’s go!
I definitely want to try one of the classes here sometime either cycle or Pilates and I’m glad they have that included with the membership, so nice 😊.
Let’s be real customer service matters, as long as crunch continues to provide the good customer service I will continue coming here.

Absolutely horrible. I joined 24 Hour Fitness, not Crunch Fitness. I paid for my yearly membership with 24 Hour Fitness in full and canceled it at the end of the year before my year was up and now Crunch Fitness is trying to withdraw a monthly fee from my bank account. I have spoken to them about this on the phone and through emails, but they keep trying to make withdrawals. This is a total scam!

Crunch as a whole or this location is DELUSIONAL if they think they’re going to force me into staying in a membership for gym I have no desire to be at. For starters I used the gym for a total of two times- once as a guest and the next time under my own membership and it’s wayyyyy too cluttered for my liking. There’s barely any space to use machines or even workout and not be overwhelmed. You have someone coming up to you every 2 seconds asking when they can get next on the machine or there’s a waitlist to use it. I asked immediately when I can cancel my membership and I was told by a TEAM MEMBER if I wait until August 18th 2025, I can cancel it and avoid charges. I come in today on August 18th exact and now I’m being told I’d have to wait until September and still have to pay to cancel it or else I can’t. Why the hell would I do that?? So now the new team member who was in her phone for the longest and told me to wait (so she can finish typing) finally tells me I can’t cancel if I don’t pay and I have to wait until then. I don’t recommend her as a team member and surely don’t recommend Crunch at all. This membership WILL be canceled without payment and that’s final.

Crunch Fitness – Come for the Workout, Stay for the Disappointment

Since Crunch took over, walking into this gym feels less like starting a workout and more like interrupting the staff’s day. A smile or a “hi” at the front desk? Don’t hold your breath. Staff member named Armani was extremely rude to me and looked at me as if it was a bother or annoying to him for me to be in the gym. Not a friendly person

The gym floor? Imagine trying to focus while a nightclub DJ blasts music at max volume—except here, you don’t get the fun lights or the drinks. And if you were hoping for a quiet corner like the old aerobics room with the bikes? Nope. Those bikes are now locked away in the cycle studio, only accessible during classes—because apparently, fitness equipment is seasonal now.

Then there’s the guest policy. Used to be two guests for the premium $38/month plan. Now? Just one. Same price, less value—love that for us. Oh, and your guest has to hand over their driver’s license like they’re checking into a courthouse. Super convenient to forget after sweating for an hour.

Tip to management: This isn’t complicated—treat members like they matter, stop turning the music into a hearing test, unlock the bikes, bring back the fair guest policy, and maybe—just maybe—modernize that ID system.

Overcharged for late fee which i clearly have the money in my account. Sounds like a management problem. I couldnt cancel over the phone. So I made a fraud charge case to my bank to stop the transaction. My happy ass is not obligated to show up to cancel for some cheese ball gym. 1 star review for making me have to change my card number. Crunch you need to tighten up! Im not going to recommend anyone to this gym anymore. Learn how to have a common ground with your customers and prior customers.

Cancelled 4 months ago, still being charged every month. Called in 3 times to get it fixed, keep getting told a manager will call me back to refund my card, never heard from anyone. At this point I think they’re intentionally scamming me. Not to mention the gym is garbage now, basically just a college gym with tripods everywhere.

I had a ONE YEAR CONTRACT with 24 hour fitness that expired this summer. When they sold to crunch they also sold them my membership without my consent, and extended me to a monthly basis also without my consent. Now they won’t let me cancel without paying them for months that I never used their gym and never signed up for. What a joke of an establishment trying to make money this way. Also 24 hour fitness NEVER notified me this was happening in ANY capacity, and this isn’t just for me but multiple people I know who went to this location.

These people don’t know how to run a business. Genuinely astonished they’ve made it this far.

Never signed a contract, had a non renewed agreement with 24hr.

They decided to start a account, charge me for it and then tell be that due to their policies (which I never agreed to or signed because I don’t have a contract with them) they needed 30 day notice so they’d have to charge me for another month.

Attempted to speak to the manager who basically brushed me off and told me to speak with someone below him who didn’t have the ability to approve anything.

Had to charge the card back and tell my bank to block any charges from crunch.

Front desk staff was polite so I’ll give them that but basically didn’t have the authority to do anything but hand it off 2-3x before I got told there was nothing they could do.

Drove 40 minutes each way to a gym I haven’t lived near in a year to get 3hrs wasted.

I called the night before my class to ask if it was okay to bring my 9-year-old daughter since my sitter canceled last minute. I explained clearly that she would just be sitting quietly in the back during the workout. The man I spoke with told me it was fine and even said he did not want me to miss a workout. Based on that, I signed up and planned my day around it.

When I arrived, the women at the front desk gave me attitude right away. No greeting, no friendliness. The first thing they said was “How old is she?” and it was clear from their tone and body language that they already had a problem with it. I told them she was 9, and they said she could not go past the front desk and would have to sit alone in the front corner. That was not something I was comfortable with at all.

I explained that I had called ahead specifically to avoid this kind of situation and was told it would not be an issue. Instead of being understanding or helpful, they seemed annoyed that I even brought it up. There was no effort to listen or problem-solve. The attitude and lack of basic courtesy made the whole experience frustrating and honestly made me feel like I was being treated as a burden for trying to work out while parenting.

If there is a strict no-child policy, that is understandable. But staff should not give out incorrect information over the phone and then treat you poorly when you follow it. This could have been handled so much better with just a little kindness and professionalism.

It's been a couple of weeks since my last review, so I thought I'd add another. First, I must commend the gym's cleanliness and the variety of equipment available. However, I do have some critiques that need addressing.

One significant issue is the large ceiling fan, which hasn't worked since they took over months ago. Despite multiple maintenance requests and emails, nothing has been done. Proper air circulation is crucial, especially since not all aerobic equipment is under the working fans. Fixing this would greatly improve the user experience.

Another concern is the limited availability of inner and outer thigh machines. There's only one machine for each exercise in the entire gym, making it difficult to use them without waiting. Although there's an additional inner thigh machine where you can manually add weights, it's not enough to meet demand. More machines are needed to accommodate everyone.

Another point worth noting is the gym's music volume. If they observed their users, especially the morning crowd, they'd notice that about seven or eight out of ten people have earbuds or headphones on. This clearly indicates that we prefer listening to our own books, music, or podcasts rather than the gym's playlist. The blaring music is unnecessary and often unwelcome. While I appreciate that they've turned it down somewhat since taking over, it was initially unbearably loud. Further reducing the volume would be a welcome change and likely appreciated by all. Simply paying attention to their audience would make this evident.

Overall, while Crunch is doing an okay job running the club, their lack of responsiveness is disappointing. I've deducted a star from my rating due to these unresolved issues. I hope they will take action soon and consider adding more equipment for inner and outer thighs.

Not bad, but a couple of things. 1. No longer 24 hour on Saturday. They close as early as 7pm. The day I come because the gyms aren't packed on the weekends at nigh in this college area. That early close irks me. A lot. Saturday night was my time. 2. Dirty. It's nice right now. BUT. I can almost guarantee you, this will be short lived, unless they'll hire a lot of people cleaning around the clock, which I doubt. Showers are still Moldy when I was there the other day. Not a little bit of mold. I'm talking some of the stalls reek of mold. I'm sure the hot tub and pool is dirty too. I doubt the cleanliness will last long. No offense. They're going against an army of dirty customers. Not all customers. A lot of DIRTY customers though. I wish them luck, and not too sure I'll continue my membership.
.
Update. A few months in. I'm actually impressed. Things are a lot cleaner now. 2 extra stars. Let's see if they'll keep it up. It's a pact gym, but not bad.

I love the new location it’s super convenient and just minutes from home, which makes working out much easier. However, my only concern is the “hit zone” area (not sure of the exact name). It’s really cluttered and feels more like a play area than a proper workout space. Compared to other locations, it lacks organization and can even feel a bit hazardous when you have to move things around just to make room. I’d love to see some improvements in that section to match the overall quality of the rest of the gym!

Not a good gym, not easy to cancel, not only can you not cancel over the phone but you have to go in person and on top of that they need a 30-day notice so if u cancel and fees are due in the next 30 days you have to pay, horrible gym go with another company I promise it’s way better. I recommend Amped Fitness, you can cancel on the phone or online.
