Hidden fees they blatantly lie about caused me to overdraft and no customer service to help, went to location to get assistance and was told to wait while they help dozens of other people. Still waiting. Infuriated.
Edit. Manager took care of 15 people on the time they told me to wait at a table before they called me over, I asked why I was told to wait and they said because they had to help their customers as if I wasn't one also??? Corporate has no contact and they said even if I email the Gm he can't help at all.
To clarify the situation while they had workers put getting people to sign up I CLEARLY and blatantly asked are there any other charges besides the monthly fee and they said absolutely not. Now I can't pay rent.

Not a bad gym, but women’s bathroom is a little wonky set up wise. Pretty solid equipment options and space. Not a huge fan of the staff interrupting my work out ever 5 minutes to tell me when they close, when I’m fully aware and would prefer to not be interrupted while working out.

Gym is nice and spacious. Big upgrade from the other local gyms. I’ve been waiting for this gym to open and signed up early for the peak results membership for $1 for the first month. The Crunch employees advertising this did NOT mention at all that there was an annual fee of $50 and that signing up for the $1 membership was a 2 month contract. Meaning I couldn’t switch my membership till after two months. This morning I got charged the monthly and annual fee for a total of $94. I understand this is somewhat my fault for not thoroughly checking the chart to see what I was signing up for but after looking back at the sheet they showed me it was in itty bitty text at the bottom of the menu mentioning the annual fee so I feel it should’ve been mentioned.
I understand this is somewhat a consumer error but their advertising was very misleading and they should’ve done a better job at informing.
When I came in this morning to change my membership, the staff member helping me told me that some of their employees advertising mislead many customers and other people have been coming in with questions about this. I can’t imagine how many people were shocked to see that charge. This gym is lovely but I wish they mentioned those fees. Very annoyed.
Also this is coming from a broke college student, so seeing that charge on my card this morning was a scare. Honestly, I wanted to cancel my membership this morning but I hate the UWF gym.

I canceled my membership but I was charged 100 dollars this month( so the monthly fee and something else i don't know)and then was told membership could only be canceled after 60 days ( I was not told this when I canceled) I got nothing but attitude from the young lady on the phone.

I like the gym but I had a feeling this would happen. Equipment braking like the sana and every other piece of equipment, just hope they don't become like Planet Fitness where it stays broken for months. I wish they had more than one type of machine especially the popular ones.

Nice people and amenities, except for the
Sauna
Men’s changing area
Showers no water, pressure and the water coming out of the shower. It’s warm at best. SAUNA NOT WORKING THE WAY IT SHOULD ITS WARM N SHOULD BE hot!!
Told the front desk a few weeks ago and then this past week as well as the manager on duty, they seem very sincere, but it was never fixed and then the other staff give the runaround As to why it’s not hot
Please fix it and don’t give the members excuses
Please make sure the proper temperature is what a sauna supposed to be. They should check it more often and adjust the temperature thermostat appropriately for the customers.
I’ll give it another try
Men’s locker room has nowhere to sit down to change but a couple benches and one person takes up those about gotta wait in line to change your drawers or dry off from the shower, which only trickles from the showerhead and that too is not hot, but warm
Fix the sauna
Fix the sitting area in the locker room room
Fix the water pressure and turn up the heat in the men’s showers
Please, please please
Thank you
The staff are very friendly and professional
Very nice facility

Love the atmosphere and the attentiveness here. Walked into kids crunch with my kids and seen how crazy it was with all of the kids out of school, but those workers were handling it like pros. With everything going on, Skylar was so helpful and made our experience so much better. I could tell it was a lot for anyone, but she made it seem like it was a breeze and she greeted every kid with such enthusiasm and love. I would recommend this gym to anyone and especially their morning childcare with Sky. 10/10!

I've only been twice so far but I love it. The staff are helpful & the energy is great. Even the people/guests I've encountered are great! The facility is clean and they offer a wide variety of workouts from equipment to many different classes. As well as sauna, massage, tanning & personal trainers. I even like the layout of the gym.
The parking lot can be very busy and a bit tricky. Overall, I'm pleased with this gym & the staff! I love the "So you think you can't dance" class with instructor Icy!

If you’re thinking about signing up with them — think again. Don’t do it.
This is a fraud.
They provided absolutely no service, yet charged me roughly $1,000 over time.
Cancelling this scam is another challenge on its own.

I LOVE ME SOME GYMS & THOSE WHO ARE LIGHTS WITHIN SUCH PLACES. Throwing out deep gratitude to a few peeps at crunch! Thank you to Josh & Tasha (3rd shift) for being such amazing staff. Josh is featured in picture & Tasha’s soul is in the atmosphere of picture…if you grab some binoculars & squint your eyes real hard while shouting abracadabra 3 times maybe just mayyybe you’ll catch a glimpse of her 😂 Seriously though—these two are always smiling, welcoming, & keeping all of us after midnight but before 5am gym risers accountable. To add, after strolling in late today at a solid 2:59am all I heard in a shocked/happy manner is…WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?…along with additional information that could be shared but instead Imma wrap it like we’re encouraged to do with extracurricular activities by saying that’s what keeps me coming back to this gym man.
That kind of energy…their energy which I am always honored to exchange…doesn’t only have the ability to light up MULTIPLE ROOMS but for sure without a doubt is what lights up the rooms being built & strengthened within me. Seeing them when I do get a chance to drop-in is a wonderful way to start off lifting, running, or whatever kind of training day my coach programs. Highly recommend not just coming here for the access to equipment and such but come to this gym to encounter staff that radiate energy like Tasha & Josh. Even if you get a smidge—you won’t be disappointed🧡

As a mom of two very energetic kids, I cannot say enough good things about this gym. My kids always ask to come with me every week because of Skylar. She has this perfect mix of patience, structure, and fun that just makes them light up the second they walk through the door. You can tell she genuinely cares about the kids and puts thought into keeping them engaged and confident. Mine come home talking about her for the rest of the day. She’s the reason we stay at this gym, honestly. If you’re a parent looking for someone who treats your kids like more than just a headcount, go to Skylar. She’s amazing! As far as the gym goes, there's always room for improvement but I do enjoy the sauna and hydro massage chairs. The staff has been helpful and kind to me at all times, I would recommend them to anyone.

Just signed up and i like the gym so far. But I do have a couple of friendly suggestions: 1. more security for kids crunch would make parents feel more comfortable leaving their kids there.
2. There needs to be more attachments for the cable machines. It was hard to find any straight bars.
3. An assisted pull up and dip machine would be nice!

Joining Crunch Fitness Pensacola has been an absolute game-changer for me! Over the years, I’ve had multiple gym memberships and struggled to stay consistent but this experience has been completely different. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, supported, and truly part of something special.
The culture here is exactly what our community needed positive, motivating, and centered around growth and connection. The leadership team Ja, Stephen, Kelly, Kate and all the incredible trainers have built an environment that goes beyond fitness. They’ve created a place where people are not just working out, but genuinely thriving and holding each other accountable to be better every day.
The facility itself is top-notch clean, well-equipped, and full of great energy. But what really sets Crunch Pensacola apart is the people. The staff and members make it feel like a true home gym, a place you actually look forward to showing up to.
A special shoutout to Stephen for blazing the trail and welcoming me into the Crunch family. I’m genuinely excited to see what’s next for the company and this amazing team. Thank you all for creating such an inspiring space for our community! 💪🔥

Well, it's a gym like most of the rest. Everyone's experience will be different, so take mine with a grain of salt. I signed up before they opened and didn't get any of the swag, no duffle or even a shirt. The facilities are pretty nice. The trainers seem like they are pretty decent, but they aren't as available as I was thinking. I've been to a lot of gyms and I was trying to use a piece of equipment that I had never used but for that whole session I was there, there was no one to ask. It's pretty much a different flavor Planet Fitness, which I don't think I'll cancel that or my Regymen membership for.
Tldr: Nice stuff. Staff is mediocre. It's a low priced gym with lots of equipment. Go for the stuff, not the people.

I took Whitney’s Ride Studio class and WOW. You could be having a bad day & take her class and leave on such a high note. She brings her imaginary unicorn trash can for you to throw away all your negative energy into mid class, which is so amazing & funny! If you have a chance, snag a spot in her class, they fill up quick! Whitney’s energy is phenomenal and she has just the right personality for teaching spin! 10/10 recommend!

Not a good value. Called about 1 month paid in full since I’m just visiting for work and there’s no crunch where I live and they charge $75. If you sign up for their monthly membership you are committing to a minimum of $100. I can go to planet fitness a pay $25 for a month and cancel at anytime for the same equipment and premium amenities. Called the YMCA and it’s $46 for a month and you have access to a pool, basketball, pickle ball. Plus parking at crunch is terrible.

I went to crunch fitness in Pensacola and used my well hub fitness app to check-in but was denied and told by Josh that my app was not valid and wouldn’t allow me and a guest to come into the gym. I explained this was the only app
I have that allows me to check in because my crunch subscription is paid through the well hub fitness app. I verified my account to Josh and was still denied and told to download the crunch app which was unnecessary because my subscription is valid through the well hub fitness app. I asked to speak with someone else specifically a manager about confirming the situation and was told “there was no point because they were going to tell me the same thing.”

Style over substance
Crunch makes a great first impression — the space is big (around 40,000 sq. ft.), clean, and packed with equipment. There’s a solid cardio area, plenty of squat racks, and a full functional training zone. But once you start using the gym regularly, some flaws become hard to ignore.
Equipment: Lots of variety, but a few odd gaps. There are four deadlift platforms but no deadlift jacks, no landmine attachments, no T-bar row machine, and surprisingly no resistance bands on the floor. It feels like they focused on flashier pieces instead of well-rounded functionality. Plenty for beginners but you might find it lacking if you are a more advanced lifter.
Locker Rooms: Spacious and clean with a sauna, which is great — but the design isn’t practical. Six benches for 50+ lockers makes it crowded fast. Showers have doors that don’t close fully (there’s about a half-inch gap), and there’s nowhere to hang your towel or clothes. No towel service either, which would be a nice touch for a new gym. Oddly enough, the shower handles seemed to be installed incorrectly and water never gets warm.
Layout: The layout just doesn’t flow well. The main walkway cuts right through a functional training area, so people are constantly weaving between sleds or heavy bags. I’ve had to stop mid-set to let people pass — not ideal.
Overall, Crunch looks great and has potential, but right now it feels more like style over substance. A few tweaks to the layout, locker room, and equipment lineup could make a big difference.

I can’t say enough good things about Crunch Fitness here in Pensacola. From the moment you walk in, the facility is cleaner than clean and the staff greets you with genuine friendliness. My trainer, Long, is absolutely incredible—he doesn’t just show you the exercises, he takes the time to demonstrate each one until you fully understand. He explains the importance of correct movement, avoiding wasted motion, and making sure everything you do has purpose. He’s extremely knowledgeable and makes fitness actually make sense.
What I love most about this gym is that it’s not just about getting big, bulky, slim, or trim—they really care about your overall health and long-term well-being. You can tell this place is built around helping people grow stronger, healthier, and smarter about fitness. By far the best gym experience I’ve ever had!

I’ll start with reviewing Kids Crunch as this is what actually got me to sign up: Lex who works week day mornings is amazing, she’s extremely kind and understanding. I’ve never left my baby anywhere and being able to leave him for up 2 hours with strangers made me nervous but she has cared for my 10 month old like her own and made sure I felt super comfortable even as I come pop in and check on him. She gets 5 starts from me. However, I don’t love the placement of kids crunch. As a mom, having my baby right next to the front doors doesn’t make me super comfortable. We live in a super sketchy time and with this being a more crowded area there should be better placement for the kids area. I can tell this wasn’t designed by someone with kids. My child personally loves Ms Rachel but if you’re a family who doesn’t do screen time, know that they do have 3 tvs in kids crunch. They also don’t change diapers which I’m okay with BUT there isn’t a changing table in the gym. So if you need to change a diaper it’s either the counter in the bathroom or the floor.
Now, the gym. I do like this gym but I have qualms. Starting with the women’s locker room; there are 3 shower stalls and 1 handicap shower. Points for being inclusive here. However, say all 3 showers end around the same time and it’s time to get dressed there is only 1 dressing room. It’s also massive for just 1 person. There is no full length mirror except in front of the free weights OUTSIDE of the bathroom. The bathroom counter for people to get ready is big enough for 3 people and directly across from the bathroom sinks so it does get crowded in the small space. The sauna is located inside each locker room, I like this, but it is not sound proof. You can hear allll music inside of there. There’s also no light to signal if it’s on and no timer either. I also think you should put a sign outside of the sauna with directions for use. A lot of members I’ve spoke to in there had no idea on the max usage time or etiquette. You will typically always find a bathroom attendant. There is a scale in the bathroom which I liked but again seriously no full length mirror???
They do offer a variety of drinks and some protein snacks to purchase but they’re more than you’ll pay at the store. They do have a water bottle station however this water is room temp and no where near cold. Cold water while you’re working out and hot I feel like is a given?
There are plenty of treadmills and stair steppers but limited amounts of other machines. Approx 2 per machine so you might have to wait, which does happen sometimes. There are quite a bit of benches for free weights though and squat racks.
There isn’t a good stretching area. The “stretch” wall is near free weights and has very limited space, no mats nearby, and you are in front of everyone. You could attempt to stretch in the HIIT room but they do hold classes in here and when there’s a class going on it’s closed. Therefore your only option is the wall.
Overall 3/5 stars. Lex is amazing (she alone gets 5/5 stars) and I pray y’all do anything to keep her. Kids crunch should be moved for safety reasons. There’s no changing table? The women’s bathroom was not designed intentionally and feels more thrown together. No cold water in water bottle station. No “good” stretch area. I enjoy the option of dropping my baby off at crunch to workout or even get an uninterrupted shower. There is A LOT of improvement that can be made.

I really enjoy my crunch membership! I’m freshly post partum and a mother to three so finding a gym that didn’t cost $100+ a month that included child care was nearly impossible! I have the top tier membership, and have enjoyed every aspect. The wonderful ladies in kid crunch absolutely adore my 4 month old and are very attentive playing with her, and tending to her when we cross over into nap time. I know there have been a few security concerns, but I can tell they are already trying to up their measures by asking you to check out your child before retrieving them from the other side of the gate. The gym can get busy and parking can be a little tricky but it’s in a huge lot and honestly I don’t mind a little walk to my car after a nice work out! I’ve also never ran into an issue with crowding, the gym is huge and there is plenty of equipment for everyone!

I signed up for the peak membership because I was told that I could bring a guest unlimited times and when I asked if the classes they offer were included in that and was told yes I could bring a guest unlimited times to classes. That IS NOT TRUE. That is the only reason I signed up seeing as how I can get the same type of membership from other gyms closer to my house for the same price or cheaper. When I went to cancel my membership before ever using it I was told they were charging me almost $100 because of a 60 day commitment and they absolutely could not wave any of it because of policy. Is it also their policy to lie to potential customers to get them to cancel their current membership and sign up!? A new gym isn't worth the headache they caused and obviously didn't care at all that their lie was the only reason I signed up in the first place. Don't sign up with them.

I was really excited about Crunch coming to Pensacola. I became extremely excited when I toured the gym. The gym has something for everyone and I do mean everyone. However, it doesn't do anyone any good if you can't get in there and utilize the equipment because it's too crowded. If I have to walk around and wait on equipment then it's a waste of time. It's also irritating to watch workers behind the desk goofing off and playing around instead of doing their job. I have watched several evenings where the staff didn't properly scan people in or scan people to use the hydromassagers or tanning beds and watched people just stand by the beds and wait for someone to start them and they jump on them. So, if anybody can have access to the beds then why should I pay for a premium membership. Or for the workers skip people that reserved a bed and give to another person because that person said they had to leave and couldn't wait. At this time Crunch is disorganized dysfunctional and quite chaotic and it doesn't appear anyone is really concerned about getting it in order. They are just concerned with enrolling more people as if it's not too many people already. Though, I am sure they can careless. I'm likely to return to planet fitness. At least I can get in, workout and get home, without wasting an hour of time waiting to utilize machines and equipment.

Very spacious floor plan and friendly staff. The gym is equipped with the most up to date equipment with little to no waiting time to use. The mens bathroom has a dry sauna which is a very unique touch. I'm overall impressed with Crunch Gym.

I've been going to Crunch Fitness for a little while now and overall I'm really enjoying it. The facility itself is large, clean, and has plenty of machines, so I've never really had to wait long. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help, which makes for a welcoming atmosphere. I also love the sauna, it's a great bonus, though I wish it was a little bigger and held the proper temperature. I've noticed it can cool down quickly whenever someone opens the door.
Another nice perk is the massage station (haven't tried it yet but looking forward to it). The gym also offers a variety of classes, which is great, but they do tend to fill up fast. I personally wish they were all at least 45 minutes long, some are 30, some are 45, ideally I'd prefer a solid hour workout. Since the gym just opened, maybe they'll change it down the road, I get the sense that the staff is still getting into the rhythm of teaching the classes, so I'll give them some grace there.
The app takes a little getting used to, and I'm not sure the "Crunch-O-Meter" is completely accurate, but it's not a dealbreaker. Parking is plentiful, but the lot does fill up pretty fast during peak times.
All in all, a solid gym with a lot to offer. A few minor kinks to work out, but I can see it only getting better from here.

Super stoked about Crunch being in Pensacola!
The equipment was planned out perfectly in terms of spacing and layout - even at its busiest times, you don’t feel cramped or rushed by others.
They do a great job maintaining its cleanliness at multiple touch points. I predict it’ll still have that “new” feel even after several months just based on the attention to detail.
The amenities and perks are a huge plus! Definitely get what you pay for and then some.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate that you’ve forwarded this to the local team, but I need to clarify the situation more accurately.
On October 1st, I arrived with my two children and a guest, intending to check them into the daycare — a service included in my top-tier membership. Before I could do so, a male staff member stopped me at the daycare entrance and insisted I return to the front desk to line up, despite my being a verified member. My app was temporarily malfunctioning, and I asked him to manually verify my membership. He refused and stated that scanning a barcode was the only option.
His tone was dismissive and, frankly, discriminatory. He questioned my membership status and interrogated me about my guest in a way that made both of us feel humiliated and unwelcome. A supervisor — possibly named Ja Shakespaere — was present but refused to provide his name, despite my asking multiple times. I was only told that his name would appear in the cancellation email.
If Ja Shakespaere was indeed the supervisor on duty, I strongly urge Crunch Gym to review the front desk and daycare area surveillance footage from October 1st. It will clearly show the interaction and how poorly it was handled.
This was not a simple check-in issue — it was a failure in customer service, communication, and respect. I’ve already cancelled my membership, but I hope Crunch Gym takes this seriously and ensures no other member has to go through a similar experience.

💔 A Terrible Experience at Crunch Gym — Cancelled My Top-Tier Membership
What was supposed to be a fun day with my two kids and a friend turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience at Crunch Gym. After two days of unpleasant encounters, I still tried to stay positive — it’s a new location, and I believed things would improve. But today was the final straw.
I chose the highest-tier membership specifically because it allows me to bring friends to work out. That benefit meant a lot to me — until today, when a staff member’s attitude completely undermined it.
Just like before, I brought my kids to the daycare to check them in. Suddenly, a male employee stopped me and insisted I line up at the front desk first. The line was long, and I explained I was a member and didn’t want to waste time. I asked him to verify my membership, but he refused — saying I could only scan a barcode. Unfortunately, my app wasn’t working at that moment, and I couldn’t access it.
Instead of helping, he was dismissive and even discriminatory — questioning my membership and interrogating me about my friend. It was humiliating and made both of us feel unwelcome. A supervisor eventually came over, but didn’t offer any real support or solutions. They simply stood by the staff’s behavior.
I was left with no choice but to cancel my membership. It’s heartbreaking because I had high hopes for this gym. I hope Crunch Gym takes this seriously — no member should be treated this way.

For a gym that just opened I’m glad I’m not shoulder to shoulder with the person next to me working out. I stay on the treadmills but from where I’m at there’s TVs comfortably above equipment for my entertainment. Music is playing just loud enough to where it’s not obnoxious for the days I forget my AirPods.

Joined during pre-sale and could not be happier! I got set up with a personal trainer, Antonio, and WOW! This guy does not play, he listened to what my goals were and pushes me daily to be the best I can be! Everyone I’ve met is kind, professional, and really cares! With it being opening week, I can only imagine how stressed everyone is but they wear it well! For anyone looking for a new gym, I highly recommend; however, keep in mind that it’s new and shiny and there will be kinks to work out - so bear with them!

The kids zone security is a joke. Little to no regulation on who goes in and out of there. STRONGLY dislike that they chose to put it right by the door as well. Horrible design layout from a safety aspect. The gym is great but I really wanted the gym for the kids zone and unfortunately don’t feel safe leaving my kids here. Really sucks.

This is strictly about this kids zone and the kids zone only.
I have 2 children, both under the age of 3. When I arrived the entire room was chaotic, which I totally expected and am totally okay with. A few things I really didn’t like in my observation:
1. I have an infant (5m) that was in the infant gated area. The lady working in there was so kind but was lifting older kids into the infant area and they were touching all over my baby and the bouncer that he was sitting in. I knew this was a possibility but had hoped him being in the gated area would avoid this from happening.
2. The security is completely nonexistent to the point where I will probably cancel my membership. I was waiting in line to check my kids out (assuming I’d need to scan my card to prove these were actually my children???) but this worker (that didn’t check me in and wasn’t in the room when I arrived so didn’t know which kids were mine) just said grab my kids and she would check me out. This absolute terrified me because they did absolutely NOTHING to verify that I was getting the correct child. This room is also RIGHT next to the exit so someone could come snatch a kid and b line for the door.
3. They didn’t keep the kid gate locked so kids kept coming out of it and no adult was watching or corralling them back.
I know this may sound a bit crazy to some people but some people are crazy and will steal children. This is not a risk I am willing to take.
I understand they just opened and are getting their system’s in order and their people trained but this was truly unacceptable for child safety. I am willing to give it one more try but unless they put in better security systems, I would not recommend sending your kids.

Super spacious! Went with the wife using the guest pass and ended up being convinced by Alexis R to sign up with my own memberships. She was awesome and super knowledgeable-definitely deserves some recognition!
Things to note for frequent gym goers:
12 racks, 4 DL stations and 2 functional fitness areas. Plenty of free weights but the plates feel like plastic. They also don’t have any collars for the bars to hold the plates at DL stations. There are some at other equipment! They don’t allow chalk so bring straps. DL stations don’t have a jack to assist with the loading either.
Overall recommend. Cancelled alone other two memberships

Over populated and rude staff. Too many people in the gym to even remotely try to get a workout in. An absolutely atrocious parking lot. Was not even welcomed into the gym, not one person came up and checked on me. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Alexa is amazing! She was incredibly prompt and helpful every time I had a question or needed something. The setup process was super easy thanks to her great communication and organization. You can tell she genuinely cares and takes pride in what she does. If she’s not already a manager, she definitely should be, people like her are exactly who you want leading a team. Dedicated, professional, and just all-around awesome!

Super excited for crunch fitness to be open! my husband and I have been looking for a 24/7 gym that offers all of the amenities that crunch will have, and we are super excited. The company I work for also partners with crunch and all of the staff is always super kind and helpful. All of their trainers are super knowledgeable, and have a lot to offer. Every time we attend an event, Alexa is always killing it making sure that booths have what they need and she’s always available when we need her or have questions. Big shout out to her!

The gym is huge! Really nice. Staff was very friendly as we toured the space and picked up our new membership bag, tshirts, etc. The hydro massage chairs looked amazing, the sauna was a nice size. There is a kids area with a little movie theater if you need to get a workout in with your child. Plenty of tv's, equipment, and there is also a spin class room which I can't wait to use. Super excited!!!
