I did have a payment issue which turned out to be an expired credit card 💳.

I have been working with Robyn at Crunch Seminole for a few months and she has helped me so much! I feel stronger and more comfortable in the gym. I was so intimidated by all the equipment before and just stuck with the treadmill which got me nowhere. Robyn is very knowledgeable and showed me how to do the exercises and stretches I need to do and helped me gain the confidence to go to the gym and even do strength training by myself! I have chronic back issues and after her assisted stretching, my back has felt the best it has in years! I cannot recommend Robyn enough!!

This is quite honestly the worst gym and all of Tampa Bay area. Planet fitness is 1 million times better. I went to cancel due to many issues within this facility. One being everything's broken everything is dirty. Everything is nasty. The saunas aren't available when you need them to be available. They close the bathrooms and are rude about it. No one upfront acknowledges you when you walk in and when you walk out. they take my yearly fee from me that's supposed to be to maintain the place but actually don't use it to maintain it at all. I've called and spoken to the managers and I've been hung up on before. Called to cancel and they couldn't even waive my last monthly fee as a courtesy hopefully to potentially save me in the future from maybe coming back when things get better, all in all this gym just sucks. I've seen an associate take a lunch break in the upstairs room and put a trashcan in front of the doors so that you can't go in and use it. what exactly do you pay for? Their customer service to their members is trash. I can honestly go on and on how much I hate this facility. Save your time and money and go ANYWHERE else !!!!

Crunch Fitness Seminole is truly a wonderful gym that feels like family. It may not be the biggest or newest location in the Crunch franchise, but the people, instructors, and trainers make it the best by far.
Our family has worked with both Malyna and Steven, and they’ve each made such a positive impact. Malyna is absolutely amazing with young athletes, she’s helped my son improve his mobility, speed, and strength for baseball, and we’re so thankful for her. Steven has been incredible for my husband and me, helping us grow in both strength and confidence through his whole-body approach that includes faith, mindset, and physical fitness. They both truly care about their clients. It’s not just a paycheck for them.

I was a member of this Crunch Fitness gym for a while and tried to cancel my membership, when I switched to Renew Active and no longer have to pay for my membership. They make it nearly impossible to cancel. When you call the corporate number they have a statement that says that this line is not monitored and they hang up on you and you are directed back to your local gym. I spoke with one of the front desk people at the Seminole location who said my membership was canceled, but I received nothing in writing and I have been continued to be charged for my membership $19.36 monthly. I called the office again today and was hung up on by the "manager." I haven't had this issue with other gyms. I didn't like the gym in general because it's crowded and the music is blaring in the sauna. People talk on their cell phones loudly in the sauna and there's nothing the staff does about it. It's not an environment conducive to relaxation and meditation. The gym is also not very clean - the showers frequently have hair on the walls. it's the worst gym I've ever been a part of in Pinellas County and I would steer people away from it because of the issues I've listed above. There are certainly better gyms in the area.

Honestly if I could give you no stars I would, I should have known better to sign up at a chain gym cuz you and planet fitness or just as bad when it comes to trying to cancel an account. Making people jump through hoops just to cancel something. It's absurd. Y'all's gym is a tiny gym nothing great nothing spectacular just regular gym equipment. I have asked to downgrade my membership and you quote unquote did it but then fail to tell me it was rejected. But yet I can't cancel because I refuse to pay it because you guys messed up my account and lied to me about downgrading my membership when I don't have a job. I would go someplace else. You will never get the price that is advertised. There will be a transaction fee or convenience fee on top of any advertised price.

There is also an annual fee that is charged at an expensive rate.

And If you try to cancel your membership, they required you to pay another month even though you’ve canceled.

I would find another place to go work out. It’s their way of getting another fee out of you. Even if you just paid your monthly fee and cancel the next day you are going to be charged.

Crunch Seminole has been a game-changer for my fitness routine. The HIIT classes with Steven and Malyna are incredible — they bring nonstop energy, great music, and know exactly how to push you without making it feel overwhelming. Every class feels purposeful and fun.

I also did personal training sessions with Steven, and I can’t recommend him enough. He’s knowledgeable, encouraging, and really tailors each workout to help you meet your goals. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients’ progress and it shows in every session.

I have had numerous confrontations with members who think it is okay to take photos and videos of themselves in the locker room. For some reason this is one of the few Crunch locations that doesn't have a sign in the locker rooms forbidding this. I've spoken to front desk associates about this and they shrug it off, saying a sign will be posted. And that was over a year ago. Crunch, I suggest you put a sign up and avoid a potentially serious problem.
And BAN TRIPODS! The wanna be influencers just invade other people's privacy on the gym floor!

What a waste of a nice facility. Kayden will approach you mid workout to hassle you about owing membership dues in front of everyone. You get charged way more than what is advertised and the gym is always packed with immature high schoolers who don't know gym etiquette. The people at the desk are friendly but seem to only care about making profits (selling personal training to people who clearly know what to do already with diet and lifting) and making cringey social media videos. The parking situation is abysmal as well. Don't sign up for a membership here thinking you will get a quality gym membership. I gave this Crunch Fitness a chance after trying another elsewhere. Becareful, they will scam you, it's a hassle to deal with membership cancellation.

I was on their regular monthly program, then switched to the advertisement program, which includes a gym membership. They charged me for the monthly membership cost (~$30) AND the advertisement program ($160) at the same time, when I asked for a refund for the 30, they refused. Whatever, it was 30 right?

I did not find out until later, they also charged me a $100 initiation fee when I switched to the advertisement program. I was already a member with them before, it did not even cross my mind they would do that, I did not find out until months later.

Then, when I cancelled my advertisement program after 3 months, they did not cancel right away. I found out 2 weeks later after the supposed cancellation I was charged for another full month.

They have and are still charging my credit card for this monthly service although I live 1200 miles away. I called immediatly and spoke with serveal people who never called me back. I finally got a guy named Cayden who told me i had to go to a crunch location in person to cancel. I did this. Upon driving to this crunch location 1200 miles away, they told me this guy is nuts and they cannot cancel it, he has to cancel since he is a franchise. I'm currently having to dispute their charges to my credit card and have had to cancel it. Cayden now says he did'nt hear me when I told him I moved 1200 miles away. Now he is demanding crazy proof of ownership of new home and utilities. This MUST be sent only via trackable certified mail. THIS PLACE SUCKS. Thank God I moved, what if I had not moved and just wanted to cancel? They will not let you which was also a LIE when i originally joined. This is a SCAM just like bally's did in the 90s.

This was the worst experience ever and I hate to even give this company one star. I joined recently after a battle with cancer. Did the kickoff training meeting here and ended up paying for training for 12 weeks up front. Only a couple days later (having not even started training or going to the gym) i injured my back severely. My ortho Dr. said I could absolutely never train because my back was down to bone on bone so I cancelled it immediately with a Dr's note as proof. They went on to say "corporate" will not issue a refund at all because I paid up front. If I paid monthly, I could stop having to pay. Are you kidding me about this. I tried and tried to get my money back due to never being able to use this, but they won't budge. $960 they have of mine in addition to the money I put in when just joining. For a company claiming they are there for their members, I guess money is the big thing instead. I am so so upset by this, and they keep saying corporate won't budge. I would never recommend this gym to anyone and especially beware of paying for training up front. We actually have a lot of friends that will be leaving Crunch after seeing what just happened to us

I joined a 3 month program for $45, 3 months later I received a new $45 charge, I called on 5 separate occasions to request a refund since I DID NOT authorize an auto debit renewal. During this time i received an additional monthly auto charge to my account, so here i am now having to go in to the Seminole location to demand my money back. I am furious the way this is being handled and I place the horrible customer service directly to how the manager runs his center. I have been a member of 3 separate Crunch locations in different towns and this is the only time that I have experienced such horrible service.

I know some people that go here and they are buff so it must be good. I went to a gym once and didn't get buff immediately so I went next door to the ice cream place and drowned my sorrows in a 10 gallon bucket of shame. Worst gym I have ever been entangled with! I was hospitalized and could not walk and asked them to cancel my membership multiple times they refused to be accomadating or compassionate during the hardest time in my life saying it has to be done in person even though I could not walk! This companys ethics are garbage and I refuse to give my business or time to a place that does not care about people 1% worst gym ever. Plenty of cleaner gyms with newer equipment that wont refuse to cancel your membership because they are so hard up for your 20 bucks! Disgusted with crunch

Wish there was a negative star rating. Don't sign up for anything - impossible to cancel and they treat you awful if you try to. Then they send you to an 800 number that doesn't work and just hangs up on you and they don't care about their members at all.

Way too crowded at ANY time of day. Cardio classes are good but you have to sign up 22hrs in advance or they will fill up. Personal training is expensive, and they often jip you several mins each time on the session. Not worth it. They also have shady tactics. Do NOT sign any contract. And whatever you do, if you want to cancel personal training, don't freeze it unless you are sure you will use it. When you unfreeze you have to pay for 8 sessions again before you can cancel. There's no way about this and state it's their policy. 🙄 if you don't cancel before a certain date for membership they will charge you another month. Better off going to a smaller gym!

I joined this gym just because of the punching bags, unfortunately most of the time when I go there to workout they close the whole section where the punching bags are, and apparently nobody can use that space because they have a “class”. Usually there’s like 6-7 people barely keeping up with the workout + after the class they stay there to chat and block the entire area. I do not remember signing anything that says that I can’t not use that space when there’s a class, and also when I signed up I chose the $9.99 per month and for some reason I’m paying almost $20 per month.
Staff are friendly that’s probably the only positive thing about this gym.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I signed up for this gym because it was closest to home and they offered workout classes in addition to gym equipment. I realized that the place doesn’t work for me for several reasons: 1) This gym is CROWDED (mostly with high school students), you can’t find parking, you have to wait for equipment and have to rush to register to classes because they quickly run out of spots. 2) Cleanliness/comfort was subpar, place is nauseating, smells like sweat, showers not clean (water is barely warm), almost nobody cleans equipment after themselves (not enforced), sauna was straight up filthy. 3) Shady cancellation policy, you can’t cancel within first 90 days and when you finally can, they will charge you $30 cancellation fee AND your membership fee for that month is not prorated (lost 24 days of paid membership upon cancellation). Amount of money I paid for this subpar experience, I could spend on high quality workout equipment for my home. Never again!!!

I cancelled my membership, then just to get them to stop charging me, i had to cancel my entire bank account. thats when they decided to continue to rack up charges, and now i am over 500 in collections from them. wth? (my ONLY negative credit account - its totally ruining my credit score.) After i already paid 600 for personal training that didnt follow through. i missed one appt - and they said i wasnt able to make any more personal training appts, even tho i had paid IN FULL for 6 sessions already. scam scam scam scam scam scam.

Not a gym you want to join. Makes cancelation a very hard process. Most of the good reviews you read are reviews from employees who work there. Yes, I have a friend who worked at another location the admits that it is a regular practice that the manager comes around and asks employees to write a review using new membership numbers generated after new members sign up. Don't believe them when they tell you otherwise. I personally didn't go to their gym after some bad experiences there, of which I'll get into some here. Womanizers, and very judgmental people. I had two memberships at two different gyms. The other gym I will not disclose is because I'm not trying to promote other gyms here. But I will say other gyms are much better, hence why I still attend those gyms. This gym is OVERCROWDED 😩 . Think of setting in stop and go traffic when waiting for equipment to exercise on. And while you are waiting, you see crunch fitness representatives signing up even more members, which in turn makes you wait longer for equipment. There are as many people walking out the back door canceling memberships as there is coming in the front door to sign up. This is because members here get discouraged from some or all the reasons I am metioning in this review. Don't believe crunch fitness reps when they tell you otherwise. They are just hungry sales reps who only care about what their next paycheck is going to look like at the end of the week. The showers start off warm, not hot, and quickly become cold. The temperature goes down while you're rushing to get soap out of your eyes. And all the while you're saying to yourself, why did I believe the rep at crunch? Why??

I have been a serial-gym-joiner and quiter for as long as I can remember. I joined Bally’s, Gold’s gym, and many more. It’s laughable the amount of money I spent on gym memberships. I usually lose interest because of not seeing results due to lack of motivation and discipline.
I have been going to Crunch in Seminole for about 2 months. This is my second time joining this gym. I quit the first time because of the same reasons. However this time with the help of my trainer, Cameron, I have been working out consistently.
I have lost about 6% body fat and gained muscle in a short period of time. I have more energy and I find myself getting to the gym after a long day at work. Whereas before I would sit in front of the television and snack after dinner.
My husband and my son join Crunch. My coworkers also join Crunch. I’m excited about learning self-discipline and seeing more positive results from now on out. I’m grateful for Cameron’s knowledge and professionalism. 🏋️‍♀️

I absolutely love this gym. It’s convenient to my house, with very nice staff and great instructors (Marcela, Daryl and Malyna). The classes are great because they are only 30 minutes for most of them so you can do multiple ones and get in different activities and exercises.

This place used to be great, but recently it has just gone under. They let anyone in here, these people have no manners or gym etiquette. Weights left everywhere on the ground and on the machine, no one wipes down their equipment, and the staff just doesn't seem to care because they're too busy talking and flirting with each other. The new management is just not good. Hopefully other crunch locations aren't the same way.

If you're going to sign up for this gym, ask them to print out all the documents for you to read. They avoid stating the fine print and purposefully mislead you on many things. I started their personally training under the impression it was just a few sessions over the course of a month and a half as I was moving, but then I came to realize I was under a contract by them. I do not recommend hiring their personal training, ESPECIALLY the girl Hailey Callahan. She was supremely misleading and now won't answer my texts. I'm forced to pay for these sessions if I do or do not show, so I may as well show up to them. She does not respond to my scheduling and avoids any form of communication with me. The gym itself is cool, the contracts are egregious, and the personal training is a laughable sham. Lesson learned. Many middle fingers to you, hun! Crunch Seminole has something for everyone! The classes, coaches and members are superior to any other gym I’ve been a member of. (Not to mention the very convenient location.)
