Used to be a decent and not too busy place to work out with fun classes. It’s still not busy, but management here clearly prioritizes a few particular groupsβ€”senior citizens and kids.

No one at the front desk can ever get the activity schedules right, including on the TV screens, then they openly blame each other in front of customers for mix ups. Very awkward. The pool has been closed for months, it’s literally green from non-use and lack of maintenance, and they don’t care. They’ll tell you they just closed for the season, but that’s not true. I hear the employees commenting to each other about β€œmaybe we should do something about the pool.” Yeah.. maybe yall should…

I asked for assistance from corporate, and they also could not care less. VP of Operations Delonyx Cortez doesn’t answer emails until a month has gone by and he has to be reminded to do it, and then doesn’t even have the courtesy to look into the issue.

I’m happy the community has this place for the people who are able to use it. It’s not for everyone though, and they make it really clear

Worst YMCA I’ve been to. Playground wasn’t accessible. Small location. Not enough parking. Never had staff for the sports teams. Pool was hardly open. The spotted man that the works the front desk was TERRIBLE! The YMCA should be embarrassed to have him as an employee. Will NEVER step foot in this location again.

I feel like their basketball skills drills should start later for 8 year olds. I have to work and can’t be there by 5:30pm also it should be 1hr 30mins not just an hour. I don’t think that’s enough time to learn skills. It seems rushed. Maybe have bigger kids day on another day

This establishment is not only composed of a wonderful building with great programs for families, but it is housed with a professional group of kind people that truly enjoy helping others. Today was my first time inside of this facility and not only was I greeted with multiple smiles of those seated at the counter, but they also verbally welcomed me in. The lady that assisted me was extremely patient with answering all of my questions and even helped me to make changes to my existing membership. My purpose for coming was for my son to attend their preschool swimming lessons, which was so much fun to see him be amongst others his age and not only treated fairly, but given personal attention when needed. This place was so clean and gave me all types of warm fuzzies, that I look forward to signing my son up to participate in more of their programs. Thank you management for being GREAT leaders and holding your staff accountable for being AMAZING employees that I am so pleased to have met a few of them today.

My review is for before and after school! They hit me with a return fee on my card plus the payment, but when I checked my account my balance on there was 0.00. So Wednesday morning at 3am they ran my card and the money wasn’t on there. I checked Wednesday around 4pm on my account to pay it! There was no balance and because of spring break I didn’t know when they were going to pull it out so I tried to get on there and pay it. Can’t pay if your balance is 0.00 and then they hit me with a return fee when they ran my card Thursday at 3am. It’s 10 dollars but the point is they should be updating peoples accounts instead of trying to get whatever extra money they can get from us! We work hard for our money and I feel like I was blind sided by my account not reading what it should have! I’m tired of these big businesses running there places like this. Terri told me there is nothing she can do about making sure accounts are updated basically it’s always have that money there in that account or they will take extra! Having an account means nothing!

I went there and asked if the gym was closed, they told me no so I started working out. Not long after another worker showed up a yelled at me to leave!? I don't think the hostility was reasonable as I had no idea and asked another worker there if it was or wasn't closed and they told me it wasn't. I'm new to this gym but I don't think I want to be going to a gym where there workers will yell at me.

YMCyAy!!! We went to family night tonight and our son had a blast! This summer camp is an excellent family and community oriented establishment. The staff is very energetic, kind and professional to the parents and children enrolled. We would have our son go there all year round if they had a teaching program during the school year. He will definitely be attending the after school program this year for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to a Jacksonville Icemen event for kids with my son at the YMCA Center. We spent time mainly in the back towards the soccer fields, but the whole area was massive. We had an opportunity to also go in the building to look around and it was filled with families getting ready for youth sports.
Only complaint I had was that there were a lack of employees to guide new comers to the area. Other than that, I was quite impressed with the facility.

Due Clay YMCA gym is not as big as Fleming Island or Jax locations, but they do have a pool, summer camps, sports for kids and senior classes and activities.
The only negatives are that a family membership costs a lot more than other gyms, including additional cost to be able to visit other locations, and the personnel at the front desk almost never have answers to simple questions, like what day the pool opens or how to sign up for lessons, etc. They need to be better informed.

This is absolutely the worst basketball league rip off and unorganized training program. The practices consist of at the minimum four teams at one time along with various people shooting and playing around within the the practices. No one from the YMCA is monitoring and can care less that those players who paid for training is being interrupted continuously throughout the one day a week practice. Very sad for such a large world wide community organization.

I can get past the fact that it's a small gym with no suana. The thing that really upset me was the kids zone time frame. They only only 1 hr and 15min for your kids to be there. That means if you're a stay at home mom and you wanted to get a workout and a shower you only have an hour and 15min. Most gyms do 2 hrs. The excuse I got from everyone was " it's because of covid". We just moved here from south Carolina , and we never heard that excuse until we moved here. Which is crazy because Florida is known for being all about freedom and not about covid restrictions.

Our family has always loved the YMCA. Generations have learned to play, swim, and be respectful members of society at the "Y". We just quit over day care though. I am a grandmother and have our grandson two to three days per week. The "Family" Y does not allow us to use the daycare center while working out there. We even offered to pay extra and the Y refused. Apparently you just can't get there from here. Fortunately, we just joined LA Fitness and they DO allow us to bring the baby for daycare while we workout for no additional fees. Go figure.

We LOVE the YMCA summer program at Dye Clay! Kyle the camp coordinator is AMAZING! He is a communicator, a listener and awesome role model for the kids. When I drop my daughter off in the morning the ladies that greet us are super sweet and greet the kids and the parents, my daughter comes home raving about all the fun she has and all of her new friends and she sleeps like a rock. This is 100% turn around from our last year summer camp experience at another place! Her enjoyment is truly a testament about the leadership of the program and the Dye Clay YMCA, the employees seem happy and kind to the kids and most importanly they play with them.

My two children ages 8 and 11 went to summer camp at this location this June 2021. My son has cerebral palsy which causes him to take a little more time to get dressed. Instead of showing compassion the camp counselor yelled at him and his sister who tried to help him. Both my children who are in different classes both told me who rude Mrs Jill has been to them both. I also emailed the camp director Kyle who prides himself on open and transparent communication about my son being bullied. I heard absolutely nothing back from anyone. Worse experience ever.
