Been playing here for a year now. Course has always had good conditions but the greens used to lack attention. HOWEVER, the greens NOW are in outstanding shape and well kept! Great round today.

Played 18 holes on November 3, 2025. Course was dramatically improved since last experience (3 years ago). Tee boxes, fairways and greens all better than expected. Iβd rate the entire experience an 8.5. Did I mention we (threesome) played in under 3.5 hours.
Looking forward to playing again January 2026.

Despite some of the negative reviews about ELGC, my son and I booked a round because it was close to Marco Island. The course did not disappoint. The round was discounted (maybe summer rates) and we teed off before 0900. The staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The course was as advertised with water on almost every hole, so if youβre a high handicap golfer like me bring plenty of balls. We saw lots of wild life including gators. It was a great round and finished under four hours. If youβre in the area check out Eagle Lakes for a nice FL golf experience.

Eagle lakes since being renovated the past few years has turned into a fantastic public golf course, was very pleased with the progress they have made. I was impressed by the conditions and they have a great staff who take care of their golfers. Play speed can be an issue as at any golf course- but when it is moving along it is great. Congrats to the eagle lakes staff on a successful overhaul. Hope to see the progress continue!

All in all, a very nice experience. Challenging yet fair layout.
I want to update my review after reading a couple of very negative ones. People want improvements - when they are made there is NO patience for them to take full effect. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all have the same issue..
They need to grow in when they are redone. Golf in Florida is NOT cheap...everywhere. If it is cheap, expect the proverbial Dog Track. I first played there 6 weeks ago ..the growing in process is going very well and where it is struggling it is being attended to.ive now played a half dozen times and will play many more - if not this year then next

Staff asked how everything was met us when we returned no complaints.

Pros: Great layout, Bag men Frank and Freddie. Awesome clubhouse and bar.
Cons: Every other employee is always having a bad day. The worst course conditions in the county. Driving range is down half the time because of a broken card reader or not enough balls. This place has so much potential but is always stuck as a C- establishment.
Eagle Lakes will reply to this stating βItβll be betterβ but weβve been hearing that for 5 years. Trust is broken and new General Manager is needed.

Course is in terrible shape, especially since it just reopened after being closed for a couple of months to improve the course, very disappointing, and now they seem to be trying to charge as a higher quality course but it is not. There are much nicer courses for the same money. The upside is you do see a lot of cool wildlife, but not worth the greens being so bad, they did get new carts which are nice and the staff is always pleasant but, still disappointing for the price. In response to the reply The weather is obviously always a factor in the condition of a golf course and every course in the area deals with the same weather including rain and hurricanes, the course is in about the same condition as it has always been, which is fine for what it is, I was expecting more after a fresh remodel and there are just nicer courses for the same money.

Carlan should not be allowed to speak with customers. The phones were not working when we called and tried to cancel our reservation. Then we tried to cancel online and that didnβt work. We called the morning of our reservation and Carlan got angry with us, refused to listen to our complaints, hung up on us twice, and refused to refund our money. Then 3 hours later called us back and said βafter further investigation our phone system was down.β He never apologized or showed any remorse for being wrong. Iβd keep him cleaning carts if I was you.

Do not even try and golf here! We booked here for a family vacation, and had some other plans come up. We called and tried to cancel no one answered. We went online and tried to cancel and it wouldn't let us. Then we spoke to CARLIN 24 hrs later and he was VERY RUDE. Basically, told us to leave him alone. Ended up getting charged for a round of golf we didn't play.

Green and fairways in excellent shape. Fairway grass recently replaced. Lots of water and lots of gators. Staff very friendly and relaxed. My only suggestion is to add hole layout signs at tee box or on score card. Many times we were driving the ball with no where the hole was.

On Friday, Feb 16th, I made a reservation for two for a tee time for 1:20pm and reserved the time with my credit card which was required. When my brother and I got to the course, I paid for my golf with the same credit card (to the employee to the right) and my brother paid cash (to the employee to the left). Neither of us took a receipt---which we SHOULD HAVE). I called Eagle Lakes today because the charge was posted to my credit card for the total of two tee times ($220.25). Conveniently, they have NO record of a cash payment on either register for that day. There is definitely some scam artistry there, BUT a valuable lesson learned! No worries, we will tell everyone about the instance and Eagle Lakes will NEVER get our business again!

Not every golfer is striving to join the PGA tour. This place would not allow us to play as six, which is fine, but to be noted. They also laughed at my wife who is under 5' tall and requested shorter clubs than the women's rentals. They rushed us when we were playing scramble as 4 players, not hitting extra balls or anything. Disrespectful and inappropriate for a golf club that is clearly not top-tier for the area. Understand that pros aren't flocking to your course and amateur golfers want to have a good time. We aren't holding anyone up and aren't damaging your course. Let us play! There were literally zero people behind us...we were the last tee time for the day. Unfortunately due to this experience we will not return. The course is great but it's not worth feeling rushed. And to clarify we finished by 5pm. Hot dog and bartender were great.

We thought this place was phenomenal. Took my family here (wife + 7yr old twins) to play a round of golf while on vacation. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Everyone from the proshop attendant checking is in, the starter, the waitress at the restaurant, and the golf cart attendant were very nice. My wife and I cannot stop talking about the great experience.
Course was in good shape. The greens were especially well cared for and didn't have any bare patches or weeds. Tee boxes were good with some under repair. Fairways had a few weeds but it never affected any of our shots. The layout is great and fun for vacation seems it is pretty open.
Overall, I highly recommend

Played Eagle Lakes on Saturday morning. It was $150 per person with cart. The course was in awful condition. All the fairways were in horrible shape. Most of the tee boxes were jacked up. The greens were decent for the most part, but a few had fungus growing in different areas of the green. I would give the greens a 7/10. I would give the course a 1 or 2/10. This is a legit $50/per player course at the most. Charging $150/per player is completely absurd, and robbery in my opinion. Luckily we got paired with a really nice couple and enjoyed the round, but when you pay $300 for a Twosome, you expect a decent quality golf course, and not the cow pasture we played on. Extremely disappointed, and really wish I played a different course. Never playing Eagle Lakes again.

Great vacation in Naples until I booked a round at Eagles Lakes Golf Club. Horrible conditions worth 50$ at best but was charged 100$/player with no jr prices. Then they proceeded to over charge me 200$ on top and said to come back after the round to be refunded. Teed off 30 minutes late with a 5 hour round and when we went for the refund they had already closed the pro shop. We are year 'round members at Eagle Lakes and play around 150 rounds a year. My wife and I absolutely love it here. It is not the best conditioned course in Naples by a long shot but its design and natural beauty are great. Our greens superintendent, Leah, is working hard and the conditions are gradually improving. The poor drainage hampers this. What makes Eagle Lakes truly special is the staff from the GM, Josh, to our expert teaching PGA professional, Justin Rountree, to our award-winning bartender Jamie and the absolutely super golf staff: Freddy, Frank and Matthew. Thanks for all you do! 12.5 index.

I donβt typically write reviews but itβs good for people who are on vacation to know that looking into other courses might be a better idea. Just played the course today. Most of the tee box and fairways were completely burnt out with crabgrass all over the place. Additionally they are building houses all over the place so the scenery isnβt pleasant. For what they charge you would think theyβd keep this course in better shape and your experience would be better but not at this time. Itβs a 70 dollar round at best for what they are offering.

On a scale of 0-10 Iβd rate Eagle Lake a solid 3 at best. It cost my wife and I $281 on a course that is worth at most $50. Tee boxes and fairways are full of weeds and bare spots and the greens are in terrible shape. When I wrote to them to provide feedback I got an email from Justin telling me that supply is so low and demand so high that his prices are not high enough. A true testament to the philosophy that it isnβt about providing value to the customer but rather gouging the customer for every dollar they can get.
Save your money and go where they truly care about the customer.

This was very disappointing. It is a $40 golf coarse at best. The tee boxβs are all crab grass. So are the fairways. My lawn in northern Illinois is better. I live 5 minutes from Stonewall orchard, which is a real championship coarse. I cost $90 prime time in the summer. The rental clubs my friends used were horrible and in bad condition. For $139 I expected a lot more. Not sure who reviewed this more then 2 stars. It is a nice layout. Staff isnβt very helpful, but that is another story. We will NEVER play here again. So here's the deal... Is the course in amazing shape? No. But is it as bad as some other reviews are making it seem? Absolutely not. It's a scenic course that has clearly defined tee boxes, fairways and greens. Could use a little work, but is certainly playable and especially for the price. If you are a legit golfer, your money will be better spent at another course. I've never seen so much standing water on a golf course in my entire life. Even though Naples has not seen much rain this season, the course was still flooded beyond belief. The drainage system here may have been installed by blind men with dyslexia. Cart path only rules applied, but damage to the fairway still occurred simply by walking. Upon completion of 18 holes, I told a staff member this course needs demolished so they can start from scratch. If you are a weekend hack, I guess you can give this course a shot. If you are playing here in the summer, under no circumstances should you arrive at this course without extra strength mosquito spray. I've never been anywhere on planet earth that had the number of mosquitoes as did at this golf course. For this review, I'm giving two stars instead of one only because I played so well. My current mood as a result of my stellar performance won't allow me to rate it any lower, even though the overall condition of the course absolutely warrants it.

Front nine absolutely awful, tee boxes not mowed, bare spots in fairways, greens full of pock marks, sand traps not enough sand. Back 9 slightly better.

Like the layout and has the potential to be a very nice course. Unfortunately, the greens are terrible! Patchy and inconsistent, not maintained very well. Fairways also werenβt as lush as I was hoping for. Would not golf here again for the price.

My cart ran out of gas on hole 5 and it took 10 plus minutes for a replacement to be driven only 300 yards from the clubhouse. I was only told "it happens"

Nasty place. The driving range will be your first clue. Fairways are weeds. Greens pretty much burnt grass and sand. Terribly neglected course.

Easy to find off US41 in Naples. Friendly & courteous staff who got us started on time. Course has a variety of fairways that are either flat or have undulating bumps/hills. Water hazards can be found on a majority of the holes but do not make the course difficult. Greens were one of the fastest that I have played on & the dry fairways allowed the ball roll more than I was used to. Had a fun round & will be back to play again.

Greens are the only good thing about this course. Fairways are riddled with weeds and crabgrass. Bunker edgings are sloppy and rough. Tee boxes are a mixed bag. The worst part was the marshall who asked us to pick up our pace on the 14th hole. Now, granted we were behind the group ahead of us. However, we finished eighteen in 3:35 as a FOURSOME. When we suggested that we were easily on pace he was rude in return. He obviously has no clue on how to determine pace of play (i.e. LOOK AT YOUR WATCH!) I vacation here annually and next year will begin spending a month in town. I will NEVER spend another dollar at this place.

Simple and uninspiring layout. Condition of fairways and greens (especially) like a poorly funded muni. Def not worth $110+. More like a $40 round.

Played 2/25/19 I was surprised by the horrible condition the fairways were in for the price
This is a $38-$40 course in that shape
Played Arrowhead,Riverwood,Valencia and Panther Run all head and shoulders better than this place all at roughly the same price. Feel sorry for the staff. Get it together you donβt even have a range thats worth a darn on top of eveything.

Took our children to play a quick nine holes while on vacation. Brooks in the pro shop was excellent. Gladdy in the snack cart was the best. So friendly and made us feel at home. The last hole however was anything but...Yelling and screaming by the grounds crew. We truly felt they wanted to fight. Wish i thought to get their names. So sad.

Played it on the 20th May 2018. There is a lot of crab grass. Fairways aren't maintained well. The surrounding is not in good shape as well. A lot of maintenance ongoing. Carts run on gas.
Restrooms are really odd.
Driving range at the entrance, far away from the course (Water range)
Staff was nice.
With some more effort, that could get a good course. The layout is nice.
HCP 21- 36 can play white.Black goes for 10 - 20 HCP.

Play this course a lot and have no issues with the course or staff however I do have an issue witth the gentleman who saw fit to give them a poor rating because of the issue with his 2 year old. For some clarification I was the one that complained about the children on the course. You neglected to add that you also had someone with you pushing a stroller on the course with an infant in it. I for one did not want to be the golfer with an errant ball that hits a baby. You need to complain tell the whole story 1star parent rating.

Golf course is below average with lots of crab grass and beyond dry conditions. As for the staff, bag drop was self serve and on the 2nd hole we were told that our 2 year old wasn't allowed on the course due to liability concerns from the owner. As someone who travels the country weekly and plays a variety of courses, don't waste your time here for the $65 price tag. I'd rather play a miniature golf course.

One of the best public course values in the Naples, Marco Island area. Very easy to get to from Marco Island, not a whole lot of public options in the area. Look out for gators, several out in February this year when I was there.

Exactly what I expected. Got a great deal since I am Naples resident but overall having played many local courses seems like a pretty good deal regardless. Got a lot of rain for several days prior so there were a couple of soft spots. Vegetation and trees seem young but course is beautiful. The layout and length of play is right on. Lost a club on the course but the guys playing behind us brought it into the bar where we were watching the race and cooling down. Had a good time for my money.

All around great experience. Played last week, never had any inkling that this staff was rude or racist... Not sure what this guy below is talking about. Either way some people are just rediculous.... As for the course, in fantastic shape, too bad they closed for maintenance because I want to be playing there right now. Badass bar and TV setup too! I'll be back for sure!!!!! Thanks Elgc

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COURSE!!!
This has to be the worse Golf Course in Naples Fl. Not only does the course lack the luster that one would expect to find in Naples, the attitude of the manager was just as bad. We live in North Naples and we had a 9:06 tee time. So we left very early to drive the 30 miles to get there early enough to hit some balls before the tee off. When we got there I told the manager that I had a 9:06 under Mendez. As soon as I gave him my last name his whole attitude changed. He then told me that the price would be $69.00 plus tax. I told him that I was told it would be $49.00 for Florida residents. He then said, in a very condescending way "well how am I suppose to know you are a Florida resident am I suppose to read your mind"? I looked at him and said , are you kidding? He said "No! next time have your drivers licence out before you come in".I look at my brother and then back at him and requested my Credit card back. He threw it down on the counter and I told him what the heck is your problem? I told him he was very rude and unprofessional. His response "Whatever". He didn't care! I told him that maybe this is why they have no customers. He told me that they were book solid for the rest of the season. Sure didn't look like that from the empty parking lot.
We left to get our bags that were already on the golf cart. When we went to tell the workers there that we need our bags because their Manager was an jerk. One of the guys were very apologetic. as we were leaving the manager then come out of the building and threaten to call the sheriff on us if we did not leave the premises. I KID YOU NOT!!! THIS GUY IS A RACISTS YOU KNOW WHAT!!!
He said he was the Manager.
I told him to go ahead call the sheriff I have an email with my tee time for 9:06 AM at this place. What are they going to do? I would like to know how he would explain to the sheriff that we are trespassing when we have an email conformation for Eagle Lakes at 9:06 AM?????
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COURSE!!! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!
Save your money! This place is way over priced and the course is not worth it. You will past plenty of BETTER golf courses just trying to get here. Go to where they will accept you and respect you.

The fairway grass is thin. It feels like hitting in sandy grass instead of lush fairway. It is windy if there is the slightest breeze because of the wide open nature of the surrounding landscape.
The staff is nice but not very flexible. Once you book it they will charge you even if you have a reason why they shouldn't charge you. I would not recommend this course for golf reasons and for customer service shortfalls.

Yes, 24-hour cancellation policy is tough and most courses will not give you much in terms of credit and you read the fine print beforehand. However, they offer GolfNow deals at times and I was in Marco Island on vacation this week and played 2 rounds (tee times of 7:20 and 7:28 am). Got each round done in about 3 hours, course was in better shape than some describe here - it's not perfect but you're not paying $150/round. With low season, found deals for $14 and $16 (plus taxes/fees of $2+ each time). Carts have GPS, ice water available at the turn, and 5 tees to choose from. Played middle tees and course played right around 6,000 yards. Water comes into play at almost every hole making it challenging. Never took out the driver and played with 4-iron for my drives and most greens (other than couple par 5s) are reachable in 2 even if you don't hit the driver too well. Would definitely recommend and will be my course of choice next time I'm back in Naples/Marco Island area.

I had a very bad experience at Eagle Lakes today. I booked a tee time for two on Friday, January 31st for this Monday, February 3rd.
This morning when my wife woke up, she had the stomach flu and was unable to play. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy and when I arrived at the course for my 11:30 tee time, I was told to get credit, I had to cancel 24 hours in advance. When I explained to them that I did not know until that morning that she was unable to play, they told be they would work something out and I should come see them when I finished my round.
When I went into to talk to them about it, they acted like they had the perfect solution. They were going to give me a 9 hole credit, even though they had charged me for two rounds of 18. And they were happy to inform me that I could use this 9 hole credit anytime I wanted after 2:32 PM. When I pointed out that there would be no way to complete 18 holes, they said I could just play as many holes as I could get in before dark!
I would not recommend this course to anyone as their policies are very punitive and lack any sensitivity to customer service. I would have been pleased with just the 9 hole credit had I been able to use it at a reasonable time of day.
Please avoid this course, and never book it on line where you give them your credit card number. Your rights will be violated should you have a medical situation which you can not control.

looks good in pictures but far from it!!! weeds every where, all the lakes are over grown the greens are bumpy and inconsistent. THE SUPERINTENDENT SHOULD BE ASHAMED! only going down hill!
The employees smoke marijuana in the cart room!
Total lack of structure i wish the owners could see what they have invested in
Sam Berkin is the food and beverage manager! read his review he posted below this one! WHAT A LIAR!
