They are close way to often, huracan Helene did not even hit here and they close for the hole week, they don’t open at the times they said, got there and they were closing even tho maps said it was gonna close in two hours, pool is closed as long I can remember, locker rooms smell like 10 years of dry sweat, the hallway to the showers is extremely slippery almost fall like 3 times. I would give it five stars to Esporta at Bonita Springs, but they don't have enough classes and sometimes the instructors cancel at the last minute without previous notice. Other than that, This LA Fitness called Esporta is flawless. It is extremely clean, the staff is really nice and the manager always welcome you when you enter in the morning. Orlando and Cristina are super hard working people and keep the gym super clean. Any concern you ever have, the three of them will go on and beyond to help you and solve the issue.

Basketball court on volleyball hours. This location is intentionally targeting and removing/preventing basketball players from playing basketball at this facility. If you work you work until 4-5 normally so your available time to go to the gym is 5:30-8. Unfortunately Volley ball takes this window 3x per week and then to add insult on to injury also plays mid day on Sunday. It is reserved for them They pay no additional money to reserve. They have memberships just like the rest of the members. Yet they are given special treatment. They do not leave promptly they many times go over the time they are allowed. Management has entirely failed to address the problem. Volley ball is not listed on the list of amenities. I don't understand how corporate is allowing this other than the buisness must be failing and they are desperate. I have reached out multiple times respectively and have been lied to on multiple occasions. It takes calling the Cape Coral location for them to tell us the truth and agree that this is not acceptable. If you are getting this membership to play basketball don't do it. That's what the management has encouraged. They are prejudice and are not hiding it.

BUYER BEWARE : THIS GYM DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR MEMBERS

I pay $40 a month to use the basketball courts and three days a week they allow non members to come in and take over the volleyball court, some kind of youth team. Maybe the coaches and a couple of the players are members, but staff has told me that most of them are non members. They put a sign on the door for three hours at a time during peak basketball hours and don't allow anyone to enter. Management appears to be buddy buddy with the coaches and allows this.

You know what's interesting? Esporta recently started telling basketball players no guests allowed and even posted a sign about it. Why then are guest volleyball players allowed?

Courtney is useless and rude. Everytime I’ve talked to her on the phone and in passing she has been rude and defensive. She is not approachable at all. I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years and because of the lack of change and comical team aka Courtney and Nick i will no longer be coming here. Ask the team why Nick is still working at this facility. Taking gym videos of the members and not sharing them to the members or social media… hmm THATS WIERD BUT OBVIOUSLY ITS OKAY CAUSE HE’S STILL THERE. Basic maintenance and cleaning is a must and they act like they’ve gone out of their way for this gym. There is so much potential for this ESPORTA and it’s honestly disappointing. There’s a reason so many trainers leave this gym. The only good thing about this gym is Rods hiit class and David’s professionalism, I can tell he cares and will always listen. ESPORTA fitness has become a major disappointment. I've had my weight belt stolen here twice now, which is absolutely unacceptable. The gym's cleanliness is consistently subpar, with equipment left dirty and unattended. Even more concerning are reports of inappropriate activities in the backrooms during late hours. When I reported the theft of my property, the staff's response was dismissive and unhelpful. To make matters worse, one of the staff members confirmed that items are stolen often. It's disheartening to see this gym falling short in terms of security, hygiene, and professionalism. Sadly, I can no longer recommend ESPORTA fitness to anyone seeking a reliable fitness experience.

Since new management, I can say this gym has made some major improvements and you can tell the manager and staff really care about the ppl walking in and your entire experience from cleaner lockers rooms, equipment, to friendly & helpful staff.
I’m not usually one to speak to people at the gym but their kindness has really made the place feel very inviting and like I’m walking into a room full of personal friends.
Thank you Nick Smith and the whole staff for truly changing the experience at this location up; it doesn’t go unnoticed.
Nick also started training me after an ankle injury which led to a boot and crutches..thinking I couldn’t run my race at a month out; he got me back running long distance within 2.5 weeks and even better than before!
I can’t thank you enough and highly recommend him as a trainer.

A pain to cancel. You have to “come in” even when it’s difficult. When you finally “come in” the manager tells you he can’t do it and that the lady who cancels is on lunch.
Manager then ignores me and walks past to sign up another lady.
Also- half the cardio machines are completely broken and the bathrooms are disgusting. Really poor customer service.

Pros:
-It has a basketball court, pool, and sauna.
-Outside of peak gym hours, it's easy to get on any machine needed.

Cons:
-It's too warm and humid to work out comfortably. Management installed large fans that helped briefly, but some have since been removed.
-Cleanliness. There aren't enough cleaning stations and there are no reminders to clean equipment after use.
-Broken equipment. I truthfully believe there are 2 fully functional treadmills at the moment.

If you are a novice at attending a gym, I highly recommend seeking another gym like Planes Fitness. This gym has old rusty machines. The salesmen will not tell you that you have 3 days to cancel your membership or you are locked into their airtight contract. Also, if you decide to take on a trainer contract (which I highly discourage) make sure you ask if you can cancel. They will screw you on this one big time. Youtube your exercises if you want to become successful in the gym. Esporta is a corporate gym with lack luster perks. Do not let the pool or sauna or basketball court or things the salesperson mentions as you will never use those "perks", but you will pay for them. In short, stay away from this gym. Check out the other local gyms, you will thank me later!!!

The meat bodies, known as staff, will ignore you, which is awesome because saying hello can be so tiring 🥱

If you don't like people recognizing you this is also great because the staff will turn over more than a 4 month old learning how to crawl.

If you don't like training in the evening YOU MUST JOIN THIS GYM! ✊

They'll lock the doors an hour before the scheduled close time and if you are unlucky enough to enter because someone else was leaving they'll try very hard to convince you that you won't have enough time to train.

This is perfect for when you don't really want to be there and need an excuse to go home.

Maintenance and cleanliness are extremely poor. Most of the treadmills are broken. There is carpet in the entire gym including the bathroom which collects all the sweat and dirt. The bathroom smells moldy as people step on it after the shower or sauna. The temperature inside is too hot to do cardio. I have arrived as soon as they open and seen trash still on the floor and the weights not in their place from the day before. It gives the feeling that it was once a nicer place. The inside pool is nice and appears clean. The other amenities are good including the basketball and racquetball courts as well as the stationary bikes. It lacks a bathroom upstairs.I have not canceled my membership waiting for management to make some improvements.

Jared was very helpful explaining everything about Esporta and addressed all my questions/concerns in a very professional and customer friendly manner. Nice Gym but dirty. Not well cleaned and maintained. Was very clean during COVID and then they stopped cleaning. Locker Rooms are dirty, restrooms are filthy and on the weekends rarely cleaned at all, showers haven't been cleaned with bleach or cleaners in months and have mold. AC rarely works, all has been brought to their attention and they continue to make excuses. Everyone can deal with a hot gym, but dirt... no excuses.

The A/C is broken for months now! I cannot believe they are not fixing it. Plus beware; unless you cancel your training sessions although you only sign up for 3 months with a signed, executed contract, they keep charging you for it every month. Besidrs your unused unused training sessions expires if you do not use them. They do not tell that you upon signing.

Soooo... A couple of years ago I was a member of LA Fitness in a different city (Ft. Lauderdale) and was treated not only badly when it came time to renew my membership but a Manager at that location told me when I asked him what he would do for me if I renewed as far as matching new rates and such that it was not only going to go up but that he did not have to negotiate with me because he managed an 8 million dollar a year location.

That being said, I did NOT renew...LOL and swore off LA Fitness as a total joke. I have just recently relocated to Bonita Springs and I checked out Crunch, Smash and Planet Fitness. Not only is the middle range price better than any of the aforementioned gyms as an all inclusive membership that is basically a month to month cancelable at anytime membership (after 4 cycles of billing there is no fee, prior to that it is just $25) but the place is clean, and has everything I need and actually more.

The part that won me over was not a "what" but "who". I met with Joe the General Manager and Rob the Head of Training. They were two of the nicest and most professional guys I have come across in a gym. I was a personal trainer for years and have seen the best and the worst and these two guys are the best! It was not a "HARD SALE" like LA Fitness was. There was no pressure, they just gave me their time and I was sold.

Please keep Esporta Fitness the way it is, NEVER EVER adopt the LA Fitness way, it's the WRONG way.

The equipment is from around 2005 or so. It isn't as clean as the LA Fitness I used to use (same company) or as clean as some of the other gyms in the brand. It is a dated gym but they are updating it in July I believe. The staff is friendly and the other people working out are all pretty nice.

Staff doesn’t greet you when you come in or leave. Has a mask policy but only tells certain people they have to wear a mask. So only about 1 out of every 20 wears a mask. Why have a mask policy? I will never ever go back to this gym I’ve had trouble since the beginning and I will definitely let anybody else know that this is not the place to go. Management is completely rude, and specifically told me I would not be getting charged for anything I actually went in location and ask that personally. Of course he failed to mention the $50 charge that I would be getting in five days. I truly hope that your business fails and you close because the way that you treat this community you deserve it

Only been a member for a short time, but so far, I like it. Wish the employees would be more hands on for first timers however, I have not been in a gym for years and I have had to learn how to work the equipment on my own, for the most part. I am sure if I ask, they would help, but that's what I mean, I shouldn't have to.

I am a member of LA Fitness as well as Smash across the street. I’ve been a regular gym goer for 21 years and this place is the nicest, largest and cleanest gym I’ve ever belonged to.
Everyone is complaining about the price but I pay $6 less per month here than Smash and they don’t have a pool! LAF is large enough that it never feels overcrowded, the locker room is always clean, the pool is a nice cool temperature which I like since the heat gets to me in summer. For the price you can’t beat what you get! It’s the cheapest membership I’ve seen for a club that has FREE classes, basketball court, racket ball, spin classes, a huge sauna, FREE childcare while you workout and hot tub. I mean what more can you ask for?
I find the staff to be pleasant and personable overall but I’m not there to socialize so my interactions have been minimal. I signed up with my sister and my son so we got a family deal , only having to pay the down payment and annual fee on one membership!! You can’t beat it!
I can’t see the people complaining being regular gym attendees because it doesn’t get much better than LA Fitness. Their equipment selection is very diverse and there are 2 of the most popular machines so you don’t have to stand around waiting for cables or leg press. I like it here and will be a member for life!

Buyer beware. The sales people will tell you anything for a sale. As a snowbird, I was offered what the sales guy said was a "new" 6-month membership. It sounded like a good deal because the initiation fee was lower and the membership automatically canceled at the end of the 6-month term. He failed to to mention an extra "annual" fee. (Yes, I was presented with the contract, but I didn't feel I needed to read it all to see if he failed to mention additional fees.) Today, I noticed that I am still being billed for a membership that I was told automatically expired in May. A sales person in the main office said that memberships "normally" go month to month after the initial term. Normally? I really resent being lied to.

I've been a member since 2010. My main reason for joining was for the indoor pool. I did get signed up with a trainer (Nick) and he is fabulous. I really have not complaints about the facility or staff. The only complaint is that they will not let you change your membership plan without an initiation fee. Seems odd that I'm already a member and all I want to do is change my membership, but I have to pay an expensive initiation fee. All around this is a good club.

Most difficult place to cancel a membership. Can’t do it online or over phone. I thought I cancelled online....but nope you have to mail something so now for 2 months I’ve been still paying. Make sure you read everything. These people are difficult.
