I can’t say enough good things about this gym, it’s truly been life-changing for me and my family. From the moment you walk in, the energy is so positive and welcoming, but what really sets this place apart is the daycare staff. They are absolute angels! It’s such a relief to know our kiddos are not only being safely cared for, but genuinely loved and engaged while I get my workout in. They go above and beyond to make the kids feel happy and comfortable, and that peace of mind makes all the difference.
On top of that, the equipment is top-notch everything is clean, modern, and thoughtfully laid out. My husband and I joined 7 months ago. We really like the large assortment of machines to choose from. The best part is meeting Marcus a trainer at the gym who is a so knowledgeable and an excellent at teaching new exercises. He is good at tailoring your exercise routine to your specific body's needs.

Adequate gym but a lot of the equipment is outdated or broken and definitely mismatched ruining the esthetic of the gym. The main issue is the class schedule and lack of evening classes for working adults. I regret getting the plus membership because I hardly ever can make it to a class because I have a job. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this gym and wish that the area had more options.

Answer to owner is that the gym’s main issue is the class schedule not offering enough evening and weekend classes for working adults. Furthermore, nobody keeps track of who attends the classes like your gym used to do with the kiosk so what is even the point of paying more and getting a plus membership. A lot of people at the classes that I have attended have told me that they do not have a plus membership and didn’t know what I was talking about when I asked where I needed to scan my membership card to attend the classes. No wonder the classes are so crowded. Other than that, the gym is clean and offers a variety of working equipment that I am currently satisfied with even if the equipment is a bit old.

From the second you walk in the door you will find nothing but good vibes, helpful staff, and a great gym community. This is the perfect gym for anyone at any level of fitness. If you want machines, they've got them. Free weights got those too. The recent addition of a smoothie bar is just the cherry on top of what is an all around perfect gym. Unless your one of those people who likes to judge others and cant seem to keep your shirt on while working out. In that case this gym ain't for you.

I absolutely love Fitness CF!! The main reason I come here is because of the wonderful and positive staff members. They are always friendly with a smile on their face. I wish they could have bar stools to sit on because prolong standing is not good for your joints and being that we are at a gym, we want them to be comfortable. And YES, it is still professional. I was in the military for 20 years and I know a thing or two about prolong standing.

I would love to mention every name in here but I have to go get some ice cream right now. But just to give a great shout out to a few their names are Gianna, Nick, Eshard, and soooo many more.

I’ve been to quite a few gyms trying to find one that offers a lot of options and a friendly gym environment. This one I have found just that, from classes to the mass of equipment and free weights they seem to cover it all. It is clean and well kept, helps me to feel more comfortable about that yearly fee every gym asks for! (Not that I have ever complained, just helps when you can see the visibility of it) the staff is always welcoming and comforting, always ready to help with a genuine smile on their face! I usually enjoy coming to this gym, but I was really disappointed to find out that tripods are no longer allowed. For those of us who create fitness content, it’s frustrating having to prop a phone against a wall just to record a workout. I understand safety concerns, but I feel like tripods should be treated the same way as any other personal item we bring in—we’re responsible for them. Other than this issue, the gym is decent, but this policy has been a big letdown for me.

I recently moved to Orlando Florida a month ago. One of the first things I was looking for was a good gym to attend. I was recommended CF fitness Mount Dora from a friend of mine. I tried the gym out for one week and was absolutely impressed. Super clean, the staff are great, every machine and equipment you can imagine, and what was important for me.. Yoga classes! This place has something for everyone?! Kimberly Moto was exceptionally nice in getting me started!!

About two months ago, I made the switch from Planet to CF, and it’s honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Every time I walk into CF, I feel motivated, supported, and inspired to push myself. The community is amazing, members are always willing to help, and having access to top-tier equipment, tools, and trainers makes the experience even better.

Although I am far from fluent in the practice, a few sporadic yoga sessions on Saturday mornings have really challenged me. The teacher, I believe her name is Audrey, does an incredible job leading a wide range of people. Her program is difficult but not overwhelming. Her precence is very professional and knowledgeable. In over a decade of randomly taking a class here and there and several purchased videos, I walk out of Audrey’s class proud of the accomplishment. This young woman is a great advocate for yoga and CF Mount Dora.

This gym is mediocre, it has everything that every other gym has. What makes this gym the worst of them all is that they will try to put you in debt if you try cancelling, not even allowing someone to cancel over the phone if they move and will keep trying to dig a deeper hole so you put more money in their pockets. Happened to a lot of people I know, I didn’t expect to be treated the same way at all though.

Edit: Very appreciated that the balance was fixed and will be paid off monday when GM reaches out when back in office. Overall, my experience with this gym was good, until it came to trying to cancel, I would definitely choose this place again if it had flexibility with product changes with customers such as address changes, because sometimes it could be an emergency and could potentially just be a greater headache to someone if they can’t cancel in person and just keep racking up on fees for not being able to cancel unless in person. But if you’re local, this gym is great, a little expensive but definitely get’s the job done.

Went to the Mount Dora's Fitness CF with the intentions of enrolling me and my family.
First of all, we (me and my 2 daughters 12 and 6yrs) walked into the place and passed by at least 4 staff members. None of them greeted us or anything.
Had to find my way in. Walked into a lady, asked for information and she directed me to a kind of a front desk/fitness center.
This person asked me what I needed. Again, no greetings and not a friendly attitude.
The person didn't even introduce her/himself (don't want to be rude or anything. But once this person never said its name I wasn't able to identify if it was a man or a woman).
Again, I Explained that I wanted to know the facilities and enroll me and my family for the summer program.
This person asked my ID and also my 12-year-old daughter's Id.
I provided my ID and mentioned that my daughter wasn't bringing any. It's Summer, we were riding our bikes and decided to pass by the GYM. Never imagine a 12 year old girl would need to fill out a form and do an application to be with her father getting to know a gym facility. So I told the person: Ok she will wait over in the corner while I get to know the place.
So this person, with a very unfriendly attitude, took my ID, made a copy without my consent and came back asking for daughter's ID again. I said that my girl was going to be in the corner of the entrance door waiting for me. It was 90º degrees out. We were extremely tired because we were riding our bikes and this person was asking to my daughter wait outside while I was doing a tour.
What kind of place does that to people? It's a GYM it's not a federal Court or the FBI Office.
Asked for the manager and this person claimed to be the manager.
Then I ask: How come you put a person at a management with 0 people skills? In a place where people are in and out all day long?
Got really disappointed and stressed. Left the place.

I’ve decided to leave the original review because I understand that is part of human nature to make mistakes but it’s really divine to have humbleness to admit it and make emends.

Today 06/17 Zo (General Manager of FITNESS CF) reached out to me and apologized on behalf of his team. Gave us a very nice tour in the facility. Was very thoughtful and gentle. And really helped me and my whole family in a journey for a healthy life.

Thank you Zo and all Fitnes CF team . Apologies more than accepted.

If you and your family want to get healthy and need a real structured place to do so Fitness CF has the complete and final solution for you.

Joined CF Fitness last week and had a session with AJ so he could show me the ropes. He was so knowledgeable about what machines/weights would work on the target areas that I want to focus on. He didn’t rush me and answered all of my questions (I had a lot, lol). He created a great plan for me to start with and we’re going to regroup in 4-6 weeks to change it up. I’ve been several times now and have had a great experience overall. The facility is really nice and clean! Everyone wipes the machines down after they’re done. Today I went during peak time and didn’t have any issue with waiting on machines. Added bonus is the staff being so nice and always making themselves available to answer questions! I’m really looking forward to working on my wellness journey at CF Fitness in Mount Dora!!

I tried signing up, and I never made it past the front desk. Pretty bad experience. I’ll bullet point below:

.Upon entering the building it smells like mildew and cat urine. It’s the very first thing I noticed.

.One person at the counter. I didn't wait terribly long, maybe 5 minutes. But as a person interested in signing up, it is a bit of a deterrent when you have to stand around the entrance dodging gym members entering as you wait for assistance simply to tour and obtain info.

.Instead of being greeted, or asked how I heard about the gym, I was immediately asked for my ID without any explanation for the purpose. I was then handed an Ipad, and instructed to provide my personal information, and while I read the complete waiver of liability, and authorization for marketing to me, I was looked at awkwardly, and with an attitude by the person at the front desk. I explained that I don’t feel comfortable filling out all of that information when I was only attempting to tour the gym prior to making a decision. What made it worse was the response that I received…The person at the desk looked at me, and with an attitude, just said “Ok”. He didn’t offer information, he didn’t offer me the opportunity to tour the building, and when I tried nicely explaining myself in an attempt to better connect with him, he just smirked at me, chuckled, and said “Ok” again, as if I’m not worth his time. I then asked straight forward if I can tour the building without filling out the docs, he chuckled again, and said no with a big smile on his face.

.I have a family of 4, and I was planning to sign 3 of us up for CF fitness. I don’t plan to return to this gym. Best of luck to the members, the staff, and the owner. I hope things get better!

A lot of broken equipment taped with caution tape, but less crowded so it is easier to get a workout in than Planet Fitness (the reason I’m staying). I’d recommend someone does an undercover boss here though to see the attitude the front desk gives to people - especially when asking for a guest pass.
Free t shirts for a good review won’t always get good reviews when you’re rude to my significant other who wanted to try the gym.

My 76th birthday was last month, and where was I? At Fitness CF. I was a member of this gym when it was under the previous owner, so I just switched over when it became Fitness CF. I am healthy and happy in retirement, which I attribute in part to my regular exercise routine at the gym. I try to go every day except Sundays and holidays. Although I occasionally use the machines and dead weights, my preference are the classes. I do Bike Spin, Body Pump, Core and even Zumba (sometimes the only man in the class!). All of he class leaders are fantastic and they push me harder than I would ever push myself. I also enjoy the social aspect of the classes as I consider many class members to be casual friends. I look forward to heading to CF Fitness each morning, and I return home feeling good and knowing that I am helping sustain my good health and longevity.

Most gyms have adequate equipment at minimum so that is a given. The other part of the equation is atmosphere and the right vibe. I personally haven't done well in the best of gyms that didn't have the right feel. Working out is a daily part of my life and after recently moving to Tavares Im incredibly lucky to have come across Fitness CF. The very best of equipment and no matter how busy , there's always more than enough room to get your workout in. Highly recommend to anyone looking to improve themselves

Being a trainer, I've been a member of many gyms. This place has some unique equipment and is spacious. It's got a place where you could do your power lifting or crossfitting. You're a bodybuilder? They got that covered too.

I'd have to say the thing that stands out the most is how clean the restroom is. I've complimented the people handling that and will say it here too. Gym bathrooms are not known for cleanliness. The only drawback for me is that I want to move some equipment to different spots for certain workouts, but I can live with that!

CF Fitness is hands down one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. The environment is always clean, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The equipment is immaculate — seriously, everything is spotless and in perfect working order. And what’s even more impressive is that if anything ever gets damaged, they fix it immediately. You don’t see that kind of attention to detail at most gyms!

The people here are friendly, supportive, and make you feel right at home, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been working out for years. There’s a great sense of community, and you can tell that the owners and staff genuinely care about keeping the gym at the highest standard.

Fitness CF is a great gym. It is very clean and has a good variety of equipment. They have wipes around so everyone can clean the machines after use and the workers clean constantly as well. Also, every time we enter the gym we are greeted with hellos and smiles which is nice.

I love this gym! It has every single piece of equipment that you can think of. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and keep the place very clean. I have been a consistent member over the last year and from what I can tell the gym members do a great job of wiping down equipment after using it. The hours of operation are some of the best I’ve found in the area. For the price and the amount of equipment they have it’s a no brainer! Best gym in town!!

Decided not to renew my membership for 2025. They kept charging my credit card with extra fees for “late payment” I called them multiple times to receive an explanation and they only told me that I had to deal with the credit card company processing because it was their issue. Surprised the processing company sent me back to management, by the way I never had the option to talk to the manager, he was never available. Never received a response back from my emails. I explained multiple times to the gym staff that I have been using the same credit card always to pay for my gym membership and to others recurring payments that are automatically charged every month so
It was impossible to have a “late payment “ for the extra fee that they were charging me. For that reason I decided to canceled my membership, they didn’t even try to find a solution. They could care less. Be aware everyone for the extra charges on your credit cards. We’re all so busy that sometimes we
don’t pay attention to that.

This place is the best! It has tons of machines and tons of different types of weights. 6 different workout areas. A stretching room, a cycling room, and a room with a punching bag. It has an infrared sauna and a regular sauna in both the men's and women's shower areas.

They have several trainers. My friend and I hired Marcus for HITT training. He's the best. We are in our 50s and his workouts are challenging and we see improvement every week.

I could go on and on, but this would never end. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Beware of the promotional deals at this gym! While the facilities are good, I was completely scammed into a year-long contract when I was told it was a monthly option. This cost me a significant amount of money to get out of. I feel completely taken advantage of. I would strongly advise against signing up for any promotions here. You're better off going to Planet Fitness – they have comparable equipment and are just as busy, without the risk of being tricked into a bad contract.

I received a text message from the gym about a 2nd payment for the month of december. I asked why they were trying to charge me twice and explained there would be an annual membership fee on top of the monthly charge. I texted that I wanted to cancel my membership and suddenly this conversation could not continue. This person then sends me a text threatening collections. this person sends me the email address that I would need to cancel. I sent the email that day, before december ended and never heard anything. I then get an email today saying my membership was past due. I forwarded that email to the email address I was told to use and still have heard nothing.

The gym has lots of nice equipment but I’ve had the worst experience canceling my membership. I was told by an employee over the phone that my membership contact was up and there was nothing left for me to do. Well these people do not budge when it comes to getting their $40. Disappointing and just seems greedy. Pretty much made me seem like I was lying about my experience with the employee I spoke to on the phone. Anyways I’ll never step for in this place again.

Some of these reviews are over dramatic. Gym is super clean and doesn't smell like cat piss, like half these comments say. Ppl are so extra. I come from a new state of the art golds gym and this will compete with it. I was able to get a 3 day pass with proof of address showing I live in the Ocala area. Which is expected. Staff was friendly and got me on my way. The only little problem I would have is the taste of the water. Idk if it's to much iron or the filters have to be changed but I couldn't keep on drinking it. Thankfully they have ice cold water bottles in the fridge. Still a 5 star experience. I box as well and had no idea they have a bag. Super hyped about that. In other words try it out urself, don't base it off these ppls petty opinions.

Not worth your money better off going to a gym further away cf gym is not all that great just go a 24 fitness for a day see the difference just a downgrade your plan cost $100 and if you want it cancel your membership. It’s $100 plus 50 because you have to give them a 30 days notice does it make sense just go to 24 Hour Fitness

Mt Dora location. As a member of two other local gyms, CF is by far the largest in town. Friendly staff. The gym itself is super dated, very worn, rusty outdated equipment, mis matched padding, mis matched or missing handles, rusty free weights, broken water fountains, only one massage bed for the entire gym, the stretching room literally reeks of an awful urine odor, semi clean floors with debri around the equipment bases. I can go on and on. I feel its this way since its our only large gym option in mt dora so the owners dont have to put any investment into this smelly rusty outdated gym. Would love to see another large scale competitor come to town with updated equipment and amenities.

I only rated it a 4 star because of the tanning situation. They only have one tanning booth in the locker room and everytime you go to use it someone is using it. But if you just want to join for just the gym, its excellent. Alot of equipment, even if its busy there is always other machines to jump on. Its huge in there. Hope this helps

The gym equipment is well-maintained, rules and regulations are upheld by management, and lots of awesome features to your membership! The sauna and hydromassage are awesome perks!! Love working out here and would recommend the gym to anyone who asks to join a gym in the Lake County area!
As an avid lifter, being able to get through a solid workout in a decent time frame is important. I’ve yet to have to wait long for machines or equipment even during the 5 o’clock hour. There is a great variety of equipment available!!

I’ve been a member for over a year now, I love it. Clean, staff is friendly, plenty of options regarding machines, and the best part is the ladies fitness room! I always feel comfortable and it’s a very spacious gym so even when it’s busy it doesn’t feel crowded. Parking is the only downside during the busier times during the day like early morning or right after work.

Been coming to this gym on and off for several years now. Equipment is good, classes are decent except for the fact that you don’t have any later in the evening. For those of us that Work and can’t get here by the times that you offer classes for. But the reason for the two star rating is your staff. The ones that work at the front desk, Cheyenne in particular. They’re just horribly rude all the time. I asked the question of why the Wi-Fi password is not posted throughout the gym to prevent us from having to stop our work out and walk all the way to the front desk to get it. She abruptly said I don’t know. I asked her if she could find out. She seemed very irritated, and said OK. No warmth, no glad to see you because you’re paying my paycheck by being a member here. She’s not the only one. There are several of the gentleman here that are the same way. Over the years, I’ve noticed that that’s been the natural disposition for the people at the front desk. But Cheyenne in particular Was a member of planet fitness at one time and she was nowhere near as nasty as she is now. There needs to be some customer service training for the front desk staff. We want to feel welcomed, not a nuisance. Sorry Fitness CF, want to rank you higher, but it feels terrible when someone’s not kind to you especially in a customer facing role. Thanks for listening.

I use Natalie as my trainer. She is always willing to help with quick questions. The staff is amazing. Front desk as well. They have child care most of the day. Child care staff is great. It's always clean in the child area. The rest of the gym is always clean. They offer cleaning wet whipes to whipe down machines. They have a ladies only area for anyone interested.
