Do NOT send your kids to this summer camp.

This place is unsafe, unsupervised, and completely unprofessional. There was no adult supervision for the 5–6-year-old group — only teenage “coaches” left alone with the kids, while the owner spent the entire time outside on her phone.

Parents are not allowed to stay in the waiting area, likely because they don’t want you to see what’s really going on. The children weren’t being guided or instructed — it was just free play, screen time on iPads, and general chaos. The space was dirty, with no attention to cleanliness or structure.

Most shockingly, I witnessed the owner punish a 5-year-old by putting her in time out for 30 minutes. When the child tried to cry, the owner told her she’d be punished even longer if she cried.

The teenage staff seemed miserable and were yelled at and mistreated — not what you want in role models for your kids.

On top of that, the owner required 3 weeks of prepayment (I refused), and when I signed up for a 1–5 pm schedule (for 1 week) that supposedly included lunch, she later admitted lunch was not offered at that time — but kept the money anyway.

This is, hands down, the worst summer camp experience I’ve ever had. Please think twice before trusting this place with your children. Their safety and well-being are not being prioritized.

My sister last season had came into Cheer extreme FL (flip city) a little late into the start of the season and was welcomed with open arms. She was put on the level 5 and was used to the best of abilities in her routine. She was coached amazingly on tumbling and got skills really fast! The coaches train these kids on high quality stunting, performance and tumbling.

When I visited the gym for tryouts to watch my sister, the coaches were so friendly; the front desk was organized and the tryout dance was professionally choreographed. Seeing my sister genuinely smile and enjoy cheer with high quality practice wear and a professional looking routine, i’ve never been happier. Thank you so much! 🩵

Poor Conditions, No Supervision
So, I started to send my 5-year-old daughter here for summer camp - it lasted one week. First, the place is filthy - the waiting room. Crumbs all over the floor - even first thing in the morning. Children playing on their tablets. No supervision.
Then when I went to pick her up in the afternoon, all of her stuff was strewn everywhere. Literally, her wet bathingsuit was in a heap on the dirty floor. Lunchbox wide open just sitting on a random chair in the waiting room. Couldn't find the waterbottle.
Another day I went to pick her up and she was off in a side room with another child with a broken balloon hanging out of her mouth. Literally, no supervision. I was told by another adult from another camp that the director literally sits in the bus and waits when they bring the girls to go swimming on Friday. Not only that, my daughter, who is generally very pleasant was coming home with a fresh mouth and attitude. I was CRINGING picking her up. This lasted a week and I just couldn't take it anymore. When I asked for my deposit money back Lori refused to give it back. And she kept another $150 I had paid for the one week. This place is unkempt, classless, and unsafe in my opinion. NO THANK YOU.

Quite possibly the worst gym in the state. Once the owners and managers finally come inside from their cigarette break, the chaos continues. Not a single coach knows how to do anything but yell but all of this trickles down from the owners. Just look at how they respond to bad reviews on here, like children. No wonder so many kids and their parents would rather drive to Miami than to remain at this gym. Oh and be a role model for these and stop smoking by the front door.

My daughter broke her foot there due to inadequate equipment. Required 6 months of therapy. Owner made a false claim to insurance company and now says to our lawyers she was never at her gym.
Be honest because someone else will get hurt and will have to go through the same.
Bank statements and text messages will get her in trouble and I am going full force with the attorney general.
The truth always comes out. Why lie?
Even gave a partial refund on company check and still denies.

We have two daughters here at Flip City, it really is their second home! We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. The growth I have seen in both my girls skill and confidence level is truly amazing. The talent inside this gym is unbelievable and speaks for itself. From Ms Lori who is always encouraging and so proud of all her athletes, to the amazing coaches who absolutely pour their hearts into each and every kid and team. We are proud to be in the Flip City family!

My daughter is thriving at Flip City. Her tumbling has improved a lot here since transitioning out of strong gymnastics and dance programs elsewhere. She was ready for an exciting sport that increases her stamina and strength with a little glam and wow did she find it! This sport is all about teamwork, and a successful team doesn't get there without the commitment of everyone involved; kids, parents, and coaches. Team moms work really hard and use a lot of creativity to add the little things that make events extra special. Its a bit of a culture shock coming out of gymnastics, but one we learned to appreciate. Competitions are super fun too. I've had no billing issues. Varsity changed an event registration process last year that caused an accidental double billing and I was promptly refunded by the gym.

This is my daughter’s first year cheering at this gym and she has been welcomed like family from day one. The coaches are super encouraging and the parents give off a family feel as well. The communication is great. My daughter has gained soooo many new skills already and we’re only 3 months in. She is being supported into becoming the best athlete she can be. Very happy.

My daughter has cheered at Flip City since she was 4 and loves it. The coaches and the owner are her family and I have never seen them treat any of the girls or parents poorly. We recently joined the flip city family in June of this year and so far we are very happy. My girls were welcomed with opened arms and have already made so many friends. The gym is dirty and unorganized. The children get treated like garbage and you don’t even get what you paid for in return the coaches come to practice late, high, and drunk. The coaches take smoke breaks during sessions. They don’t even have good equipment. They show no attention AT ALL to their students. They buy cheap clothing and sell them for $50+.

I give Flip City zero stars. The Owner Lori is extremely rude. I went down for the first time after talking with her on the phone. After ignoring us at the front desk and talking so loudly on her phone, she yelled to my 4 year old daughter. She grabbed my 4 year old's arm and yelled at her. She made her cry. Flip City is an amazing gym. All three of my daughter's are currently at this gym. We switched to this gym last year and it has been the best experience for my children. The amount of growth that has developed is insane. The coaches build confidence and discipline. This is by far the best gym. Compared to industry standard their prices are cheaper then other gyms. If you are looking to take your child's skill to the next level then this is the place for you!

It’s a shame that the owner Mrs.Lori or whatever her name is, is sooooooo rude, I’ve seen her screaming at parents over and over again, she only cares about her cheerleaders, i was walking my daughter to her gymnastic class and the woman starts screaming “take that paper away from her hands” when my daughter was bringing in Easter cards for her coaches, I have also observed how when parents are registering a child for the first time she tries to be soft spoken, ive seen one of the coaches which I think is her daughter eating during practice while she is supposed to be coaching, Sometimes practice starts late and they cut it short because they have to start the next class! It’s such a cool activity for kids but the service by this woman is absolutely disgusting!!!!

I used to go there for gymnastics in fifth grade and it was a pretty good experience. But now I just want to tumble and there are barely any tumbling classes. Every time I call and asked they say no because the cheerleaders have to do this and that. Yea the cheerleaders are important but still. They should make it at a time where they are free or take tumbling off the menu. I don’t know about these other reviews about the owner because she’s nice.

Most of these positive reviews are from friends and family of the owners. My kids went here for about a year and I'm honestly surprised I never got call saying one of them broke their necks. I have on multiple occasions walked in to my children unsupervised. I have witnessed other children making a pyramid and climbing on each other in a room with no mats and no adult supervision. They have forgotten to pick my children up from school several times. It is only a matter of time before we see this place on the news. We went to a Halloween party last year and the owners along with most of the other parents were taking shots from a stash of alcohol they had set up like a bar in the back of someone's van. They're unprofessional and neglectful. A lot of the parents seem to just look the other way but I refuse to... I have witnessed the coaches smoking weed in their cars before sessions so coaches do coach while under the influence. Your kids are not safe here and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This Gym is the best that's every happened to me. I started at the gym when I was 3 years old. I've watched it grow and change throughout the years and change for the better. Many have written bad reviews about this gym, but that is what happens when a bussiness is successful. Despite what others say about the gym, Flip City IS A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT! It is one big family. You see kids from all ages getting along. This gym gives you and your kids the opportunity to build friendships and skills whether it's for cheerleading or gymnastics. Flip City has made the news several times due to all the accomplishments they have had. I highly recommend this gym for all kids. I guarantee it will change their lives also.
