Nicole has a vast depth of knowledge that enables her to tailor your individual experience to best suit not only your physical, but also your mental health. If I’m feeling overworked and exhausted, we might do yoga and Pilates to help stretch the muscles that suffer when sitting at a desk all day. If I’m aggravated and have energy to burn, she brings out the punching bag and gloves. We work a ton on stabilizing muscles so that functionally I won’t blow out a knee if I trip over my cats. If part of my body is hurting, we focus on that and every single time I leave the studio feeling better than when I walked in.

Nicole is amazing! I have never had a trainer who cares so much about each one of her clients. She's smart, knowledgeable, motivating, easy to talk to and inspiring. She's a fitness guru, nutritionist, and life coach all wrapped into one. Her energy, guidance and advice are invaluable. Decided to get serious about my health and hired a fitness trainer. First week was rough but they were supportive and pushed me without going overboard. Each session was different and they always kept it interesting. Also helped with food ideas and tracking progress. I started seeing results after a few weeks which kept me going. Scheduling was a little tight at first but we worked it out. I feel stronger and more confident now. If you need that extra push, having a trainer makes a big difference. I wouldn’t have stayed on track without the accountability and support.

1. Knowledgeable 2. Good communicator 3. Professional 4. Someone to push you to grow.
Nicole has all of these traits and more. IMO she is a great personal trainer.
Her knowledge is far superior to many trainers I worked with over many years. She is very detailed oriented in correcting form; ensuring you don't hurt yourself as you progress. The nutritional guidance I received was on point and truly helped me understand what is involved with proper eating. (Even when my gluttonous self didnt want to hear it). Her firm commitment to my set of goals and making them a reality and not being "just there" to watch me workout was a bit refreshing as I have had a few trainers that only half paid attention to the details. I highly recommend anyone that is looking for a personal trainer who brings it all. A++

On the coaching front - Nicole's guidance is insightful, as she steers you through various methods - MER, NLP, and Hypnosis - to effectively change your mindset. I’ve had anxiety since I was a young kid. It got progressively worse as I aged, mostly after I turned 30. As a kid, my symptom was nausea but then progressed to almost passing out. My triggers included planes and social situations.  For example, I had a full fledge panic attack at my surprise birthday and was stuck in the bathroom for 30 minutes waiting for Xanax to kick in.

By 40, I had tried counseling, meditation, homeopathic remedies, and then Xanax and daily medication.

I learned about Nicole through a friend/coworker who said her anxiety had disappeared after only 2 sessions. At that point in my life, I was willing to try anything to get relief. I jumped in head first and it was the best thing I ever did for myself.

After less than 6 months, I was off my meds and almost all my triggers no longer caused panic attacks (except stupid planes). Some triggers caused absolutely no anxiety while others only caused mild anxiety.  To say her “therapy” changed my life is an understatement. I know it’s hard to believe your anxiety disorder can be cured, but your brain was taught to react a certain way to triggers and it can be untaught.

I have been training with Nicole Hollar at Focus Studio for about 6 months now and I can honestly say that I'm in the best shape of my life and have never felt stronger or healthier. I was never a fan of exercise and doing a 60 minute yoga class twice a week was my idea of a perfect workout regimen. Since training with Nicole, I have gained a lot of core strength, and am starting to see muscle definition I never dreamed I ever had. I now exercise 6-7 days a week, because I want to!
